Abstract

The problem of public roadside parking (TJU) in Surabaya City, as one of the metropolitan cities in Indonesia, is a complex issue and requires serious attention in its management. This study aims to analyze the characteristics of TJU parking, evaluate its potential contribution to regional own-source revenue (PAD), and identify supporting and inhibiting factors in increasing parking retribution. The data obtained from the parking spot survey was comprehensively analyzed to identify parking characteristics and their effects on road sections, ultimately informing recommendations to enhance parking capacity and efficiency in the future. The results of this study provide a useful tool for policy makers to understand the distribution of parking demand across the city, leading to a clearer understanding of parking usage patterns and challenges. The presence of illegal parking, as seen in cities like Jakarta and Medan, also adds complexity to the management of the parking problem. The adoption of e-parking systems, as implemented in several other cities, can improve the efficiency of parking levy collection. Furthermore, the adoption of modern technologies has proven effective in improving parking revenue and reducing operational inefficiencies.

Abstract

The East Surabaya Hospital construction project is one of the most important projects in the healthcare sector. The objective of this study was to identify, analyze, and proactively manage risks that could potentially affect the success of the hospital construction project. This research uses a descriptive-analytical approach with mixed methods to identify and analyze the dominant risks affecting the project success. The results of this research show that comprehensive risk management is a crucial element to ensure project success, with the implementation of measures such as routine maintenance of heavy equipment, efficient procurement of materials, proactive communication with communities and accelerated coordination between agencies for licensing. Furthermore, the results of regression analysis also show that this approach contributed significantly to the achievement of project objectives, with indicators of success including on-time completion, costs within budget, and quality of results that met standards. Therefore, this research serves as a model that can be applied to similar projects, especially those with significant impacts on the environment and surrounding communities.

Abstract

The shift towards digital event services has been significantly accelerated by the COVID-19 pandemic, creating a highly competitive landscape where customer loyalty is pivotal. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing customer loyalty in digital event services, focusing on the roles of customer dynamics and behavioral intention. This research uses a quantitative method approach, which is applied to test the causal relationship among variables such as customer participation, behavioral intentions, customer dynamics, customer experience, and customer loyalty. A large scale of survey was conducted to 285 clients of digital event services using a structured 5-point Likert scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The findings reveal that customer participation significantly influence customer dynamics, which mediates the relationship between customer experience and loyalty. While customer dynamics has a positive impact on loyalty, certain aspects of customer experience showed an unexpected negative relationship with loyalty. These findings emphasize the importance of understanding customer expectations and adapting services to align with their evolving preferences. This research provides practical recommendations for digital event service providers to enhance customer loyalty by leveraging personalized experiences and technology-driven strategies. Companies should focus on fostering dynamic customer interactions and aligning their services with customer expectations to build stronger, long-term relationships.

Abstract

This paper aims to explore the relationship between "women and civilization" by highlighting the need to eliminate misogynistic attitudes and views that still influence many aspects of society. The main focus of this study is to distinguish whether women are considered as productive entities who contribute significantly in various fields or are only seen as having a reproductive function. This paper uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach to explore and analyze data in depth based on relevant literature. By analyzing the role of women in historical and modern contexts, this paper assesses the consequences of such attitudes, referencing tragedies such as the Nanjing atrocity in 1937, which highlights an episode of cruelty against women in situations of war and conflict, and how this violence reflects and reinforces such attitudes. The paper also discusses how internal factors, including women's own perceptions of their roles, can hinder their progress. The significance of Pancasila as an answer lies in its ability to become a bridge between traditional values and the demands of modernity in achieving gender equality in Indonesia. This study could examine the effectiveness of contemporary feminist movements in navigating the challenges posed by globalization, particularly in balancing their productive and reproductive roles. Lastly, comparative studies across different cultures could provide deeper insights into how various societies successfully implement strategies to overcome patriarchal norms and promote gender equality, ultimately enriching the discourse on women as "master chefs" of civilization.

Abstract

This study explores the historical and religious significance of two Islamic tombstones from the Majapahit era in King King, Tuban, Java. The focus is on Sirajuddin Isa ibn Salahuddin Al Ma'bary's tombstone and an unnamed tombstone in the Mbah Randu complex. Through epigraphic and ornamental analysis, the research reconstructs the history of Islamic propagation in Java between the 13th and 15th centuries. Sirajuddin Isa is identified as a key figure in spreading Islam during the Majapahit period. His tombstone's inscriptions "Seek the Eternal", highlight the emphasis on monotheism and rejection of polytheism, suggesting early implementation of Islamic laws. While the Ornamental motifs like the lotus flower symbolize purity and spiritual enlightenment, blending local and Islamic traditions. The Hijri calendar's role in daily practices is also examined, indicating the integration of Islamic customs into Javanese life. These tombstones serve as historical artifacts illustrating the spread of Islam, the enforcement of Islamic laws, and cultural exchange between Islamic and local traditions in Java, highlighting Sirajuddin Isa's prominent role as an Islamic leader and legal authority during the Majapahit period.

Abstract

Apis mellifera beekeeping in Sumatra has seen significant growth over the past decade, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic began in early 2020, driven by high market demand for honey. Beekeeping activities are concentrated in Riau and Jambi provinces, where beekeepers primarily utilize extrafloral nectar from Acacia crassicarpa plantation forests. This study evaluates the current state of A. mellifera beekeeping in these regions, focusing on beekeeper proficiency and colony productivity. Data were collected through a survey of 42 beekeepers, addressing their characteristics, efforts to improve skills, perceptions of challenges, and colony productivity in 2024. The findings indicate that most beekeepers are young males aged 30–50 with secondary school education, managing between 100 and 500 hives despite limited knowledge. They primarily rely on self-directed learning and peer knowledge-sharing. Most beekeepers rated their apiaries as satisfactory but recognized their need for guidance to enhance productivity, ensure sustainability, and improve market access. In 2024, honey production averaged 25 kg per colony per year, or 2.1 kg per month, with Jambi slightly outperforming Riau (2.25 vs. 2.0 kg/colony/month). Honey prices averaged IDR 22,000/kg, with Riau prices higher (IDR 25,500-26,000/kg) than Jambi (IDR 19,800-20,300/kg). Sumatra is estimated to host around 250,000 A. mellifera colonies, contributing 92% to national honey output, compared to Java's 46,000 colonies and 8% of production.
