Abstract

This study aims to find out the model of cooperative learningtype think, talk, write (TTW) combined with comic books result of high school student learning. This research is a quasi experiment research with Posttest-Only Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Population in this research is all student of class XI SMA Negeri 2 Sukoharjo Lesson Year 2017/2018. The selected sample is class XI MIPA 1, XI MIPA 2, and XI MIPA 4 with sampling cluster sampling technique. Data analysis using ANOVA test assisted by SPSS 24 program. Further Tukey and Least Significance Different (LSD) test to determine the effect of the best treatment. The results showed that cooperative learning model of type think, talk, write (TTW) combined with comic book media result of high school student learning.

Abstract

Development of learning sets is one of the ways to achieve the goal of education. Learning sets of biology have provide real problem. Student who actively being trained to find real problem solutions are supposed to be able to develop critical thinking skills. Some learning models are able to orient students to meet contextual problem, such as PBL model. The use of PBL model should be integrated in development of learning sets. Development procedures adapted from 4D proposed by Thiagarajan, but this research was only done until the phase of develop. The design step is to determine learning model which relevant to make problem solutions. The result of design step were prototype of the instructional intruments, includes syllabi, lesson plans, student worksheets, media, and assessment which relevant to PBL characteristics and step. In develop step, the prototype of the instrument will be tested by validators (learning sets expert, materials, teacher biology, and media expert) by giving some suggestions and do scoring. Trial test had did at 8th graders in SMPN 4 Malang, a number of 27 students asked to review LKS and media as well as piloting a matter of critical thinking test. Test also did on 7th grade students, consisted of 40 students to do learning activities. The test have not been able to determine the effectiveness of PBM model for improving critical thinking skills, because it was not a quantitative test. Validation result on syllabi, lesson plans, and students worksheets gained very good qualification (above 88%). Critical thinking assessment result showed very good qualification (above 84,5%). Media result showed very good qualification (89,4%). Student worksheet and media according to 8th grade students showed very good qualification (above 84%). The test of critical thinking to 8th grade students showed reliable result and can be used for advance development step. Development test towards 7th grade students haven’t showed integrated of PBM models in learning activities.Keywords:      instructional equipment, PBM model, critical thinking

Abstract

Knowledge of the environment is one of the first-year course that must be taken by students of  Biology Education Program in STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong. So far, the knowledge of the environment course was conducted using conventional methods that did not train students' critical thinking skills. In an effort to improve the quality of the course, research has been done using PBL and GI methods that aim to improve students' critical thinking skills in biology STKIP Hamzanwadi Selong through the stages of Lesson Study activities. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The  subjects were  75 second semester Biology students of academic year 2012/2013 consisting of three classes. Lesson Study is conducted in class II B for four cycles, each cycle consisting of Plan, Do and See phases. The results of each cycle reflecting on learning in class II B was applied to the class II A and II C. The instrument to measure critical thinking skills using analytical test which refers to the SOLO taxonomy. Based on the data analysis, the descriptive results showed that pretest critical thinking skills of students as a whole are  86.67% in prestructural stage and 13.34% in unistructural stage. While the post-test results of students' critical thinking skills in overall 69.34% were in prestructural stage, 29.34% were in unistructural stage  and 1.34% at the multistructural stage. Based on the data obtained, it  is known the critical thinking skills have increased by 17.34% after applying PBL learning models combined with GI. Learning through PBL models combined GI train students to solve environmental problems encountered in investigative activities that can improve critical thinking skills. Abstract

Warna merupakan salah satu penentu mutu pada produk pangan. Pangan yang memiliki nilai gizi yang tinggi, apabila tidak didukung dengan warna yang sesuai maka akan menurunkan mutu produk tersebut. Antosianin adalah pigmen yang menyebabkan warna merah, ungu dan biru. Pigmen antosianin dapat diperoleh dari Tumbuhan dan Hewan, Antosianin  digunakan sebagai pewarna alami pada produk makan dan minuman sehingga dapat mengganti penggunaan spewarna sintetis pada produk pangan, pigmen antosianin juga dapat berperan sebagai penangkal radikal bebas yang berfungsi sebagai antioksidan dalam tubuh.   Kata Kunci : Antosianin, Pewarna alami

Abstract

Fulfilling the need of housing is essential for the community. The growth of housing in urban area decreases the environmental carrying capacity. To restore the carrying capacity of the urban area and to harmonize the growth of the built area with the natural environment, the government issued the Act No. 26 of 2007 on Spatial Planning in which Green Open Space must reach 30% of the total urban area, consisting of 20% public and 10% private green open space. Fulfilling the proportion of public green open space is still difficult to be realized. As a case study, the public green open space is 88,145,5 m2 or 0,036% of total urban area in Kendal Regency. In order to increase the green open space in urban area, the building permit mechanism in Kendal Regency requires the siteplan document as one of the technical requirements in the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), the minimum requirement of private green open space to be fulfilled by 10% of the total housing area. Thus, it is expected that the growth of green open space follows the growth of housing in Kendal Regency. Through collaborative governance among stakeholders involved in Kendal Regency Licensing Team in the implementation of building permit regulation, private green open space at housing estates area is expected to be fulfilled. This study reviews the maturity level of the building permit regulation implementation by reviewing organizational, actors, management, and external (surroundings) characteristics. Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and scoring method is used in the process of formulating the priority of indicators, criteria, variables, and assessment of maturity level of the building permit regulation implementation on the fulfillment of green open space in the housing estates in Kendal Regency. Based on the assessment result, the proposed implementation strategy can be formulated.

Abstract

The research aims to test and find out: 1) the validity of the instruments made from Learning Progression of grade X and XI students of SMA Negeri in Surakarta against the concept of biodiversity material. 2) Profile of the concept understanding of class X and XI students of SMA Negeri in Surakarta towards the concept of biodiversity material. This research is an ex post facto study with a survey method using unchanged variables, namely class and gender. The study population was all students of class X and XI of SMA Negeri in Surakarta. The sample in this study was 274 students. The sampling technique uses random sampling to select schools and convenience in nature to choose class samples. The research data in the form of written test results of students with the Order Multiple Choice (OMC) type with instrument instruments compiled refer to the Learning Progression of Diversity map from the National Research Council (NRC) in 2007. Data collection using the test method.Data validation using Pearson product moment correlation techniques. Analysis of the data used is Pearson product moment correlation and item analysis. The results showed that 12 items of learning instrument of learning progression in the concept of biodiversity are categorized as valid and reliable with low values of validity and reliability. The level of difficulty of the items included in the medium category. Distinguishing power of 12 items, 5 of them included in the bad category, namely questions number 1, 2, 3, 6, and 10. The results of the concept understanding profile were reviewed from class, both levels were in accordance with their level with the percentage of the number of class X students of 40 , 8% and class XI of 44.5% who answered at level 4. The results of understanding the concept in terms of gender are the percentage of the number of male students is slightly higher than the female student, which is equal to 46.9% in male students and 46 , 3% were female students.

Abstract

ABSTRAKParadigma yang diterapkan guru dalam pembelajaran sains khususnya di SMP Negeri 2 Sumberlawang, Kabupaten Sragen adalah menerapkan teori tabularasa yang menganggap peserta didik sebagai kertas kosong yang menerima pengetahuan dari gurunya. Selama proses kegiatan pembelajaran peserta didik hanya duduk, diam, mendengar dan mencatat apa yang disampaikan oleh guru. Akibatnya peserta didik menjadi pasif  dan tidak memiliki kesempatan untuk mengembangkan kemampuan berpikirnya. Penggunaan pembelajaran kuantum dimaksudkan dapat menjadi solusi permasalahan pembelajaran yang ada di SMP Negeri 2 Sumberlawang, Kabupaten Sragen.  Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahu perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan pembelajaran kuatum dengan menggunakan media komik dan media animasi terhadap prestasi belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan populasi penelitian adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Sumberlawang. Sampel penelitian ditentukan secara acak dengan teknik cluster random sampling terdiri dari dua kelas. Kelas eksperimen I diberi perlakuan menggunakan media komik terdiri dari 36 peserta didik dan kelas eksperimen II diberi perlakuan menggunakan media animasi terdiri dari 37 peserta didik. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik tes untuk data prestasi belajar. Uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan anava dengan bantuan software SPSS 12.                Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa pembelajaran kuantum menggunakan media animasi menghasilkan prestasi yang lebih baik (75,6) dibandingkan pada pembelajaran kuantum menggunakan media komik (71,7). Kata kunci : Pembelajaran kuantum, media komik, media animasi, prestasi belajar

Abstract

Soil contamination is one of the subjects of science lesson in junior high school level which explains the causes of soil pollution, the impacts and how to cope with the pollution. To facilitate students in understanding the material can be done by learning activities practicum. However, in some schools that are far from city, practicum activities can not be carried out optimally because of the limited tools and practicum materials. Therefore, it takes a learning henvironment. This research aims to produce practical instruction for junior high school in which contains materials utilization of tools and materials in the surrounding environment to cope with contamination of the soil, namely Petunjuk Praktikum Pencemaraan Tanah Berbasis Pemanfaatan Serasah Menjadi Pupuk Cair Dengan Tehnik Fermentasi Multidecomposerthat has the validity, practicality and effectiveness. This development research uses the method of R & D (Research and Development) with Four-D (Four D Model) development model with three stages of research: Define (definition), Design (design) and Develop (development). The validation test of practice manual produced in this research was conducted by 3 expert validators in the field of science education. The trial was conducted on 20 students of MTs Salafiyah Kerek class VII.Data collection to test the practicality of this research using observation and test techniques. Data collection effectiveness using questionnaire techniques. The results show that the developed practice manuals have met the valid, practical and effective criteria.

Abstract

Research development of teaching materials photosynthesis on the subject Ecophysiology plant based research aims to: (1) for the type and ratio of organic matter to the soil mixture former bauxite mine is best to plant photosynthesis rubber clone PB 260. (2) Enriching teaching materials in the form of modules Ecophysiology plant based experimental research. Stage of research include; (1) Experiment with 3 treatment ratio (w / w): control, (1: 1), (1: 2) to design completely randomized design. Data analysis by ANOVA and Duncan's Multiple Range Test Test. (2) Development of teaching materials in the form of plant ecophysiology module using ADDIE development model (Dick and Carey). The results showed a mixture of organic matter to the soil manure former bauxite mine is better than chicken manure with a mixture ratio of 1: 2. Modules developed from the results of the experiment show valid with an average of 3.32. The module has a good practical in terms of ease of use, time used to study the module, the material is quite clear from the data presented research results in the form of drawings (graphs) and tables. Student learning outcomes everything including the excellent category with a range of values 81 - 85. The module is useful to increase knowledge of students in special ecophysiology plant and botany in general.Keywords: teaching materials, photosynthesis, soil former bauxite mine
