Abstract

Jatiluhur reservoir natural resort has miscellaneous vegetation, one of them is shrubs vegetation mostly found Malvaceae family.  The purpose of this research was to study the diversity of anatomical structure of three members of Malvaceae family found in Jatiluhur reservoir area.  Samples were leaf part of pungpulutan (Urena lobata), pulutan (Sida glutinosa), and sidaguri (Sida rhombifoliaa).  Anatomical observations were carried out on the paradermal and transversal thin sections of microscopic preparation. Observation results of leaf paradermal preparation  of the three plant species were anomositic stomata type were found on both sides of leaf (amphistomatic) with higher density on abaxial side than on adaxial side.  Pungpulutan and pulutan have the same epidermis cell shape, wavy, while sidaguri has polygonal epidermis cell shape.  On pungpulutan and pulutan were found non-glandular  trichome type, whereas on sidaguri were discovered non-glandular and glandular trichome types. Observation results of leaf transversal preparation of three kinds of plants was found a layer of epidermis tissue.  Palisade tissue of pungpulutan consisted of a layer of cells, while on pulutan and sidaguri the palisade tissue consisted of 3-5 layers of cells and 4-6 layers of cells subsequently.

Abstract

Yoghurt ekstrak ampas jahe merupakan salah satu produk diversifikasi pangan dengan memanfaatkan ekstrakampas jahe hasil destilasi minyak atsiri yang belum termanfaatkan secara maksimal sebagai olahan pangan.Yoghurt ekstrak ampas jahe merupakan minuman kesehatan yang memiliki rasa asam dan segar dihasilkanmelalui proses fermentasi dengan bantuan bakteri asam laktat (BAL). Penambahan ekstrak ampas jahe hasildestilasi minyak atsiri dalam pembuatan yoghurt diharapkan memiliki manfaat dari senyawa antioksidan danterbentuknya flavor khas jahe. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui karakteristik fisik dan kimia sertaformulasi terbaik pada yoghurt ekstrak ampas jahe. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL)dengan satu faktor perlakuan yaitu penambahan ekstrak ampas jahe 4,5%, 6% dan 7,5%. Data penelitiandianalisis menggunakan metode ANOVA yang dilanjutkan uji DMRT. Peningkatan penambahan ekstrak ampasjahe berpengaruh nyata pada peningkatan aktivitas antioksidan, pH yoghurt, dan penurunan total asam sertaviskositas. Hasil terbaik diperoleh pada jumlah ekstrak ampas jahe 4,5% dengan menghasilkan aktivitasantioksidan 1,98%, total asam 1,497, pH 4,167 dan viskositas 10,053 cp.

Abstract

Cockroaches (Periplaneta americana) are often found in homes, restaurants, hotels, hospitals, warehouses, offices, libraries, and others. The existence of these highly dynamic animals is suspected of causing nosocomial infections at the hospitals and acting as vectors and hosts associated with bacteria carried on its feet. This research aims to analyze the sensitivity of Gram-negative bacteria isolated from Cockroach feet in the hospital and residential areas in Palu City against some antibiotics. This research is an explorative laboratory experiment research, with the method of bacteria identification, isolation and antibiotic test using standard procedure "The Bauer-Kirby". The results of bacterial identification in three areas of the Palu Hospital are Klebsiella ozaenaeSalmoella arizonae, Salmonella sp. Escherichia coli, Salmonella cholerae-suis and Salmonella simultans, while the bacteria from the residential area, Escherichia coli, Klebsiellapneumoniae, Proteus vulgaris, Salmonella arizonae, and Proteus mirabilis. The results of bacterial sensitivity tests on five antibiotics showed that all of these bacteria were resistant to the antibiotics of Vancomycin, Chloramphenicol, and Amoxycillin, but were still sensitive to Ciprofloxacin and Ofloxacin.

Abstract

Telah dilakukan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sayuran organik menggunakan teknologi EM4. Kegiatan tersebut dilakukan bersama dengan dua mitra yaitu Berugaq Organik Narmada dan kelompok tani Bug-Bug di Desa Lembuak Kecamatan Narmada. Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian dilakukan melalui beberapa tahap kegiatan yaitu sosialisasi pentingnya mengkonsumsi sayuran  organik  dan pelatihan pembuatan pupuk organik menggunakan teknologi EM4, pembuatan pestisida organik dan perbanyakan kultur EM4. Kegiatan sosialisasi dilakukan 2 kali dan diikuti oleh 15 orang peserta yang merupakan perwakilan dari masing-masing mitra. Setelah kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan dilakukan pendampingan dalam menyediakan media tanam sayur bayam dan sawi, menerapkan pupuk organik dan pestisida organik, pemanenan, pengemasan dan pemasaran sayuran organik. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa  semua anggota dari  kelompok mitra (100%) menerapkan  teknologi EM4 untuk mengembangkan sayuran organik. Disamping itu untuk pengembangan sayuran organik dalam jangka panjang, mitra telah berhasil juga dalam melakukan pembuatan pestisida organik dan perbanyakan kultur EM4. Pada akhir kegiatan pengabdian, kedua mitra telah berhasil mengembangkan sayur bayam dan sawi organik yang dijual secara door to door, pasar tradisional dan kawasan car free day yang ada di Kota Mataram. Harga penjualan sayuran organik yang dihasilkan mampu meningkatkan pendapatan kotor kedua mitra sebesar 150% jika dibandingkan dengan mengembangkan sayuran non organik.Keywords: Sayur organik, Teknologi EM4, Narmada

Abstract

The purpose of this research is (1) to know the effectiveness of applying of learning model in curriculum 2013 at SMP N 1 Delanggu, (2) to know what constraints experienced by teachers in applying the learning model in curriculum 2013.. The population in this study is all teachers in SMP Negeri 1 Delanggu. The sample in this research is science teachers subjects (5 people). Data collection techniques with documentation are rpp, interview and direct observation. The data were obtained from the RPP which has been prepared by the science teachers, the observation of the teaching and learning activities in the classroom and the interview with the teachers at SMP N 1 Delanggu about the learning model used in the curriculum 2013. The results of data analysis show that at SMPN 1 Delanggu from RPP uses a scientific approach, from 5 science teachers all use a scientific approach. The model used is average using Discovery learning.

Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has an impact on increasing activity in the home. Changes in communication patterns and routines provide many new perspectives, especially for homemakers. The Family Welfare Program Association in the Karanganyar area, Central Java, Indonesia, mostly non-productive housewives, complained about the decline in family income due to changing activities. The increasing needs of the family have made this group want to develop their potential and increase their family income through training in making various crafts, in the form of patchwork-based accessories. This activity is carried out through community development practices, consisting of forming a team, formulating goals, analyzing needs, determining priority problem solutions, implementing, mentoring, and reviewing and evaluating.The activity results are in the form of various women's accessories and are marketed online through various kinds of social media. In the short term, this activity is intended so that all partners experience an increase in welfare. In the long term, it is hoped that this activity can initiate home industry groups in the surrounding area and further enhance Karanganyar's identity as a producer of accessories from used materials with aesthetics to improve skills in entrepreneurial accessories management and succeed in marketing

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh strategi pembelajaran INSTAD terhadap keterampilan proses sains. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi experiment dengan desain posttest only non equivalent control group design. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMA Batik 1 Surakarta, menetapkan variable keterampilan proses sains yang diukur menggunakan lembar observasi dan tes tertulis. Aspek mengamati, mengelompokkan, mengkomunikasikan, merancang percobaan, dan melaksanakan percobaan diukur dengan lembar observasi, sedangkan aspek merumuskan hipotesis diukur dengan tes tertulis. Dua kelas ditetapkan dalam penelitian sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas eksperimen. Pemilihan kelas tersebut dilakukan secara clustered random sampling. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran INSTAD berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa.   Kata kunci:  Keterampilan Proses Sains, INSTAD

Abstract

The research aims to know the biology concepts mastery difference between guided discovery learning with concept maps and mind maps in senior high school students. The type of this research is quasy experimental research using pos-test only only nonequivalent control group design. The population were students grade X of SMA N 1 Boyolali academic year 2016/2017. The sampel were X MIA 4 (using guided discovery learning with concept maps), X MIA 5 (using guided discovery learning with mind maps), and X MIA 6 (using guided discovery learning), selected through claster random sampling. Post-test data was analyzed with one way Anova test, followed with comparison test of Tukey’s method (with level of significance 0.05), make used of Statistical Product and Service Solution (SPSS) 23.0. The result showed that there were biology concepts mastery difference between implementation of guided discovery learning with concept maps method and mind maps method in students grade X of SMA N 1 Boyolali academic year 2016/2017. The biology concepts mastery of guided discovery learning with concept maps method increase five of seven indicators of concept mastery. There are know the feature of a concept, know characteristic of a concept, know and use concept correlation, and apply a concept to solve problem. Guided discovery learning with mind maps methode work up to select example or not of a concept, and recognize a concept in different case.

Abstract

Shorea leprosula Miq. is a member of the Dipterocarpaceae which has a high genetic diversity. In Indonesia, this species is naturally spread on the islands of Sumatra, Kalimantan and Maluku.  The purpose of this paper is to investigate the diversity of S. leprosula seedlings at 6 months of age from three populations in East Kalimantan. The experimental design used was Complete Randomized Design (CRD) with 10 seeds for each mother tree from three populations (Muara Wahau 15 mother trees, Berau 12 mother trees and Kenangan 20 mother trees).In this study the mother tree is nested in the population. The result of variance analysis showed that the population sources and mother tree had significant effect on high growth, stem diameter and the index of robustness of S. leprosula seedlings at 6 months of age. Kenangan  population and Muara Wahau population are the best population in high growth and stem diameter, while the best robustness index is occupied by Berau population. The mother trees were separated in 19 groups of differences on high growth characters, 15 groups of differences in stem diameter growth characters and 12 groups of differences in robustness index characters.  The best high growth is occupied by 4 mother trees with a range of 57.00 - 62.64 cm, the best stem diameter is occupied by 5 mother trees with a range of 4.76 - 5.47 mm and the best robustness index is occupied by 14 mother trees with values range 7.66 - 10.12.

Abstract

Senyawa nitrogen (N) bagi semua tanaman sangat diperlukan untuk pertumbuhan dan produksi, termasuk tanaman tembakau. Metabolisme senyawa N dalam tanaman sangat terkait dengan metabolisme karbohidrat.   Proses fotosintesis yang terjadi di daun menyediakan energi untuk proses asimilasi karbon (C) dan Nitrogen (N). Dalam asimilasi N selain memerlukan energi,  juga memerlukan kerangka C yang disediakan oleh metabolism karbohidrat, termasuk sukrosa.Sintesis sukrosa di daun sangat ditentukan oleh besarnya aktivitas  enzim sucrose phosphate synthase (SPS). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh transformasi gen SPS pada tanaman tembakau terhadap metabolisme senyawa N.  Proses transformasi gen SPS yang telah dikonstruk pada plasmid pBI121 menggunakan  Agrobacterium tumefaciens  LBA 4404. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa transformasi gen SPS  mempengaruhi aktivitas enzim nitrat reduktase (NR) dan glutamine synthetase (GS). Aktivitas NR dan kandungan nitrat pada tembakau transgenik galur 3, 13 dan 17 lebih rendah dibandingkan kontrol. Sebaliknya aktivitas GS pada ketiga tembakau transgenik  lebih besar dibandingkan kontrol.  Kata kunci : SPS, Nitrogen, GS, NR, Transformasi.
