Abstract

Abstract - Investigation of increasing waste cooking oil quality have been done using H-zeolite as an adsorbent and fluid fixed bed reactor which was operated in a various temperatures. H-zeolite adsorbent was prepared through physical and chemical treatments as follows : washing, acid, calcination and oxidation. The characterization of this adsorbent covered cations contain (Pb, Cu, Zn, Na, K, Ca and Fe) using AAS, Si/Al ratio using AAS, surface area spesific, pore volume and pore diameter using surface area analyzer NOVA 1000 and acidity using gravimetric method with amonia adsorption. Quality parametric of cooking oil that was investigated covered water contain, acid and peroxide value and density. Waste cooking oil as a sample was cooking oil which have been used for frying kerupuk, tempe and tahu three times. Fifty milliliter waste cooking oil was flowed throught 10 g H-zeolite adsorbent in fluid fixed bed reactor which was operated at various temperatures (50, 70, 90, 110 oC). The oil was placed in the bottle to be analyzed. The results of this research showed that the adsorpstion process for increasing quality of waste cooking oil using H-zeolite adsorbent  and fluid fixed bed reactor could reduce the water contain, acid and peroxide value and density. Abstract

The research was aimed to know the implementation of PBL based LM through LS to improve metacognitive skill. It was determined using metacognitive skill rubric on 6 categories. Inquiry skill was measured using observation checklist and devided into 5 categories. Cognitive learning outcomes was measured by essay test and  compared using KKM. This research was conducted by collaboration classroom action research and lesson study.  This research consisted of two cycles and started in March to April 2015. The result of this research shown that student metacognitive skill increased from first cycles to seconds cycles and inquiry skills of students increase in both categories from 3.33% to 46,67%, while the yet catogory was decreased from 30% to 20%, Cognitive learning outcomes increased from 52% to 76,77%.Keywords: Problem Based Learning, Local Materials, Lesson Study, Inquiry Skill, Metacognitive Skill

Abstract

Pada era pengetahuan ini dunia pendidikan lebih menekankan pada kompetensi dalam suatu keterampilan salah satunya keterampilan berpikir, sebagai salah satu cara menghadapi era tersebut yaitu melalui pembelajaran. Paradigma pembelajaran biologi (sains) diperlukan  pembelajaran student centered, guru diharapkan sebagai fasilitator bagi siswa dalam proses menemukan informasi. Oleh sebab itu guru harus membantu siswa menjadi pemikir yang baik. Penelitian quasi eksperimen ini bertujuan mengungkapkan pengaruh strategi pembelajaran PQ4R terhadap keterampilan metakognitif dan hasil belajar biologi, pengaruh gender terhadap keterampilan metakognitif dan hasil belajar, serta pengaruh interaksi strategi pembelajaran PQ4R dan gender terhadap keterampilan metakognitif dan hasil belajar  siswa putra dan putri kelas XI SMA Negeri dan Swasta di kota Banjarmasin. Rancangan penelitian ini  Pretest-postest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design”. Pengumpulan data variabel terikat melalui tes essay. Penilaian keterampilan metakognitif mengacu pada Corebima (2011) sedangkan untuk hasil belajar mengacu pada Hart (1994). Data dianalisis dengan Anacova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran berpengaruh pada keterampilan metakognitif dan hasil belajar siswa putra dan putri. Berdasarkan penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa strategi PQ4R berpotensi dalam meningkatkan keterampilan metakognitif dan hasil belajar biologi siswa putra dan putri SMA di Kota Banjarmasin.  Kata Kunci : PQ4R, Keterampilan Metakognitif, Hasil Belajar, Putra dan Putri

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini dengan latar belakang prinsip instan yang banyak melanda anak sekarang, dengan kemajuan ilmu dan teknologi yang memungkinkan siswa mengikuti prinsip instan tersebut. Padahal untuk memahami suatu materi tidak bisa dilakukan dengan instan, harus sering dilakukan pelatihan .  selain itu pengenalan laboratorium pada anak SMP kelas VII merupakan hal yang perlu dipahami terutama pemahaman tentang alat-alat laboratorium tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini memiliki tujuan Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perubahan pemahaman siswa siswa kelas VII G tentang alat-alat laboratorium (terutama Biologi) sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan pelatihan melalui metode make and match . Untuk mengetahui apakah terdapat perubahan ketrampilan kelas VII G tentang alat-alat laboratorium (terutama Biologi) sebelum dan sesudah mendapatkan pelatihan melalui metode make and match  .Untuk mengetahui apakah pembelajaran Sains melalui metode make and match dengan pendekatan proses dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa Guru sebagai motivator dan fasilitator bagi pembelajaran yang dilakukan di kelas. Dengan memfasilitasi proses pembelajaran agar diciptakan suasana yang menyenangkan dan dapat membangkitkan afinitas (keaktifan) siswa dalam mengikuti proses pembelajaran. Peneliti menggunakan metode make and match yaitu dengan permainan yang membangkitkan afinitas siswa, kerja sama dengan teman serta win-win solution dalam menyelesaikan masalah kelompok menjadi karakteristik dari penelitian ini. Metode make and match , peneliti lakukan melalui permainan memasangkan, mencari pasangan serta berjuang untuk berpasangan. Dari permainan tersebut ternyata afektifitas, dan pemahaman siswa dapat meningkat. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpilkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan pemahaman tentang alat-alat laboratorium, baik nama, bentuk serta fungsi masing-masing alat laboratorium tersebut. Ketuntasan meningkat dari 25 % menjadi 80 % sedangkan nilai rata-rata kelas dari 39 % menjadi 76 %.   Kata Kunci : Make a match, win-win solution, afinitas siswa.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the learning model of Learning Cycle 5E in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era in improving the critical thinking skills of students of class X MIPA. This research is a Class Action Research through the application of the 5E Learning Cycle model which includes engagement, exploration, elaboration, explanation, and evaluation. The study was conducted in 2 cycles, with each cycle consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were students of class X MIPA 5 of SMA Batik 1 Surakarta in the 2018/2019 academic year, totaling 45 students. Data sources came from observation sheets, teacher and student interviews, and documentation. Data validation uses triangulation techniques. Data analysis technique is done by data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions based on qualitative descriptive analysis. The procedure of the research uses a spiral model of PTK which are interrelated. The results showed an increase in critical thinking skills by 27.25% from 37.98% pre-cycle to the second cycle 65.23%.

Abstract

The problem which found are the implementation of biology learning in the school is still teacher centered learning and teachers do not take advantage of the available tools as a learning media. The results of class VIII student learning in the human movement system material has not as expected, because there is still 43.84% students of class 6 consists of 203 students who have not reached the stated minimum criteria for completeness in the amount of 65. In quantum learning, students expected actively in the process of discovering and learning concepts that can be fun place to motivate students for learning. At the end of learning, the discovery of the concept by the students will be strengthened through the media that accompanied the presentation slides with animation. This study aims to determine if  quantum learning based on Information Technology to optimize the activity and student learning results in material of human movement system. The study was conducted on the 3rd class VIII G, VIII H, VIII I taken by random sampling technique. Research design used is one shot case study. Indicators of successful implementation of quantum learning based on Information Technology is students  ≥ 80% had achieved minimum criteria for completeness is 65 and active students in the learning process is ≥ 75%. The results showed that ≥ 75% of students participate actively. Classical of the learning activity student class VIII G = 91.17%, VIII H = 93.75%, and VIII I = 90.32%. The results of learning class VIII G = 91.18%, VIII H = 96.87%, and VIII I = 93.55%, students and teachers responded positively to this learning. Based on the research results can be concluded that quantum learning based on Information Technology can optimize the activity and student learning results in material of human movement system.  Keywords: human movement system, Information Technology, quantum learning

Abstract

Learning success is aqualified indicator of education. Learning success is measured by how long the students’s mastery the concepts they have learnt. Retention’s factor in the concept of memory have a less attention. Learning is not measured  in the mastery of concepts only, but it should be analyzed about what the concepts have learnt, it can be closed with student’s memories or quickly forgotten. The objectives of this study are to assess the effect of reciprocal learning and learning strategies of talk think write face on learning outcomes and student’s retention in science subjects in class VIII at Yunior High School 1 Sambi in lesson year 2015/2016. This research employs a quasi-experimental research, research design the nonequivalent control group design. The technique of collecting data are used documentation and test. Result of the data is analyzed  by using paired sample T test, one way anova and multivariate. The results showed that reciprocal learning group consisting of 69.48 and student’s retention consisting of 63.12 with a difference of 6.35 from the postest value, the group of talk think write consisting of 79.03, the mean of student’s retention about 67.5 with a difference of 11.53 from the postest value, and the control group (speech) it consists of learning outcomes  about 70.31 and the student’s retention about 14.38 with a difference of 55.93 from the postest value. This research  can be concluded that the learning strategy talk think write has greater impact on learning outcomes of biological science, reciprocal learning has greater impact on student’s retention.

Abstract

The purpose of  this research measures the validity and effectiveness of practical guide on the structure and function plant and the key that has been developed based on the Argument-Driven Inquiry Models. This research use 4-D models that are developed by Thiagarajan namely Design, Define, Develop, and Disseminate. The result of the research shows that the practical guide is proper to use as learning resource that validity average is 97% are considered theoretically feasible and student response average is 88% are considered very good. Improvement of critical thinking skill is shown with gain score of 0,40.

Abstract

Abstract: Penelitian jamur Makrokopis di Cagar Alam Timur pulau Nusakambangan bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis jamur makroskopis. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengambilan data adalah metode jelajah dengan melakukan pengamatan langsung pada area CA Timur Nusakambangan (Pesisir pantai, Hutan dan DAS) . Melihat kondisi hutan di Cagar Alam Timur Nusakambangan yang masih bagus serta pepohonan masih rapat melindungi lantai hutan dan kondisi sungai juga masih bagus dengan masih terlindungi oleh beberapa pepohonan hal ini memungkinkan banyak terdapat Jamur Makroskopis. Hasil dari penjelajahan dan pendataan didapat 17 spesies teridentifikasi Maramius androcaseus, Tremella fuciformis, Rigidoporus microsporus, Ganoderma sp, Ganoderma lucidium. Ganoderma appalantum Cookeina sulcipes, Microporus xanthopus, Lichenomphalia umbullifera, Gyromitra infula, Auricularia ploytricha, Auricularia auricula-judae, Lentinus sajor-cajor, Rigidoporus sp., Tricholoma crassum., Scleroderma sinnamariense., Leucocoprinus sp. dari 11 famili hal ini menunjukan bahwa keanekaragaman jenis jamur makroskopis di Cagar Alam Timur pulau Nusakambangan sangat beragam.

Abstract

Abstract- A few people know Indigofera, but as a admirer of batik and tenun, these plant gives hope for the preservation of batik. Indigofera has a variety of benefits , but more commonly known as blue dye in batik and tenun. The problems of restore the glory of Indigofera from Indonesia who had experienced the triumph can be divided into three principal. There are the increasing scarcity of Indigofera plant, the lack of willingness of the community batik for the cultivation, the process of indigo dyeing longer and complicated, and the results of staining with the natural color is not uniform. The problem by the business presence of more efficient synthetic dyes,  the price of synthetic dyes is cheaper. While research on Indigofera dye is still limited and stagnate, this is a problem should be a concern Botanist .  Keywords: Indigofera, batik, tenun, natural dye
