Abstract

Isoflavones are chemical compounds with estrogen-like structures, and are found in many Leguminoceae plants. The isoflavone compounds present in plants are often called phytoestrogen compounds.This study aims to analyze isoflavone compounds in local Leguminoceae seeds, is Cajanuscajan L. Vignaradiata, Arachishypogaea, Phaseolusvulgaris L. and VignaunguiculataL .Analytical method using High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) with control system: SCL 10 AVP, solvent delivering unit: LC 20 AT, Column oven: CTO 10 ASVP, detector: SPD 20 A UV Vis Detector, Column: C 18,5 µm Shimadzu 120 x 4.6 mm, Column temperature 25o C, Mobile phase: A. Phosphoric acid in water 0,1% B. Acetonitrile 25%, Mobile phase method: Isocratic method, Flow rate: 1 ml/min, Injection volume: 5 µl, Wavelenght detector: UV 280 nm, Run time 40 min. The results showed the presence of daidzin, glycitin, genistin, daidzein, glycitein, dan genistein compounds.probing prompting feasible used to improve student learning outcomes MTs Al-Musthofawiyah Palang.

Abstract

The aims of this research was amied the effect of Guided Inquiry studying models toward skills of inquiry and metacognitive students. The kind of this research uses quasi experimen with design of non-equivalent control group design for students of XI Science grade SMAN 6 Kediri on 7 to 29 May 2015. Instrument that uses for support this research is measurement of inquiry skill used by assessment rubric in inquiry skills of process and product, along with measurement of metakognition skills in type pretest and postest form that integrated of the result of kognitiive studying. Data was tabulated and then was analyzed with spss 16 for windows 2007 program.  The research shown that: (1) there is the different of process and product inquiry skills between control group and treatment (α=0,026<0,05 and α=0,01<0,05), (2) there is the different of metakognition skills on control group and treatment (α= 0,000<0,05). The conclusion of this research is guided inquiry studying models affected skills of inquiry and metacognition students of XI Science grade SMAN 6 Kediri.Keywords:guided inquiry, inquiry skills, metacognition skills

Abstract

This research is a descriptive research which aims to determine the quality of test on final odd semester of the XI grade state senior high school made by Takalar team biology teacher academic year 2013-2014. The research populations were all of the questions and the answer sheets of the XI grade state senior high school science students on final odd semester Biology test. The research samples were the questions and student’s answer sheets earned from 4 schools: SMA Negeri 3 Takalar (N=108),  SMA Negeri 1 Polongbangkeng Utara (N=43), SMA Negeri 1 Polongbangkeng Selatan (N=28) dan SMA Negeri 1 Galesong Selatan (N=100). The variable in this study is about the quality of the test on final odd semester, which is reviewed using indicators: the quality of the content and  construction aspects that analyzed using the item analysis sheet, and also level of item validity, reliability, power of differentiator, level of difficulty, and distractors/detractors that calculated and interpreted using the formula and table interpretation. The research showed that on the analysis of the content aspects 34,29% of multiple choice and 40% of essay questions fulfilled the criteria. On the analysis of the construction aspects 0% of multiple choice and 0% of essay questions fulfilled the criteria. The validity of multiple choice items were  45,71% in low category, while the essay were 80% in high category. The level of reliability of multiple choice items were unreliable, while the essay were reliable. The power of differentiator of multiple choice items were 37,14% in good category, while the essay were 80% in good category. The difficulty level of multiple choice items were 57,14% in moderate category, while the essay were 100% in moderate category. Detractors effectiveness showed that there are 57,14% items that the entire of its detractors worked well. Keywords: Analysis of test, state senior high school in Takalar regency

Abstract

Teachers' learning is mostly presented with conventional models or lectures so that critical thinking has not been the focus of teachers in the learning process as well as with cognitive styles. This study aims to describe students' critical thinking skills reflective and impulsive cognitive style, through Means Ends Analysis (MEA) model using visual media. The subjects of this study are the students of class VII consisting of 9 students of reflective cognitive style and 9 students of cognitive impulsive style in MTs Al-Asyhar Karangagung on biology study materials, environmental pollution subject. The cognitive style data was obtained through the Matching Familiar Figures Test (MFFT) test developed by Warli (2010). Further data on students' critical thinking were analyzed using non-parametric statistical analysis techniques with Mann Withney test. The results of this study indicate that there is no difference in the critical way of thinking of children who have a reflective and impulsive cognitive style. The conclusion shows that there is no difference in the way of critical thinking between students who have reflective cognitive style and who have impulsive cognitive style in the biology lesson through Means And Analysis (MEA) model using visual media.

Abstract

Berpikir kreatif merupakan salah satu kecakapan hidup yang dibutuhkan pada abad 21. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengembangkan keterampilan ini yaitu melalui pendidikan. Keterampilan ini dapat menjadi bekal bagi siswa dalam memecahkan berbagai permasalahan yang ada. Biologi merupakan salah satu bidang IPA yang memberikan wadah bagi siswa untuk mengasah keterampilan berpikir kreatif. Keterampilan ini tidak dapat berubah dengan sendirinya. Diperlukan suatu rangsangan berupa inovasi strategi pembelajaran yang membantu memberdayakan keterampilan tersebut. Salah satu stategi pembelajaran yang dapat membantu memberdayakan keterampilan tersebut adalah Reciprocal Teaching (RT). Penggunaan Strategi RT pada struktur pembelajaran biologi SMA diharapkan dapat membantu memperdayakan keterampilan berpikir kreatif siswa.

Abstract

Pertambangan tanpa ijin bahan galian golongan B menimbulkan masalah yang rumit terkait dengan penggunaan merkuri dalam pengolahannya. Hasil analisis kandungan merkuri pada bulan Juni 2015 dari limbah penambangan emas rakyat di desa Sekotong Barat, diketahui bahwa kandungan merkuri pada bak penampungan limbah sebanyak 4,04-29,88 ppm. Tingginya kandungan merkuri tersebut dikhawatirkan akan mengkontaminasi sumber air warga karena limbah dari penampungan sementara dibuang langsung ke halaman rumah warga. Senyawa-senyawa organik yang terdapat dalam limbah merupakan sumber nutrisi bagi mikroba. Mikroba akan mengurai senyawa-senyawa tersebut menjadi bentuk yang lebih sederhana dan stabil sehingga kadar zat pencemar yang terkandung dalam limbah tersebut menjadi turun. Reaksi enzimatis oleh bakteri merupakan kunci terselenggaranya proses transformasi bertahap dalam pengelolaan limbah dari substrat yang umumnya berupa dengan susunan molekul kompleks, menjadi unsur-unsur yang sederhana. Penelitian pendahuluan ini bertujuan untuk mengisolasi dan menguji sensitivitas merkuri dari bakteri yang diperoleh dari  limbah penambangan emas di desa Sekotong Barat Lombok Barat. Bakteri diisolasi dari limbah yang berada di tempat penampungan sementara. Limbah tersebut diambil dari tiga lokasi yang berbeda. Bakteri yang diisolasi kemudian diinokulasi pada medium NA-HgCl. Identifikasi dari bakteri yang ditemukan dilakukan berdasarkan ciri morfologi, dan fisiologi melalui uji biokimia yang meliputi uji indol, sitrat, urease, motilitas, H2S, katalase, koagulase, amilase, dan uji fermentasi karbohidrat.  Uji sensitivitas terhadap merkuri dilakukan dengan metode sumuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat empat jenis bakteri yang berhasil diisolasi, dan semuanya merupakan bakteri Gram positif. Uji fisiologi menunjukkan bahwa hanya K3 yang bersifat non motil, semua koloni menunjukkan hasil negatif untuk uji indol, dan sitrat, hasil positif untuk urease hanya ditunjukkan isolat K2. Hasil positif fermentasi glukosa hanya ditunjukkan isolat K1, isolat K2 menunjukkan hasil variatif, sedangkan duan isolat lainnya menunjukkan hasil negatif. Hasil uji amilase positif ditunjukkan isolat K1 dan K3, katalase positif ditunjukkan isolat K2, K2, K3, sedangkan koagulase positif ditunjukkan isolat K1, dan K2. Uji sensitivitas menunjukkan  bahwa dua isolat bersifat resisten dan dua isolat intermediate terhadap merkuri.Keywords:        bakteri, limbah, merkuri

Abstract

The Adiwiyata school project is a program of the Indonesian Ministry of the Environment which aims to make school members responsible for protecting and managing the environment by way of good school governance to encourage sustainable development. This research was conducted to determine the understanding and environmental awareness of the secondary school community in Central Java, Indonesia,  held in one junior high school and one senior high school in Semarang Regency that is applying to become Adiwiyata schools at the national level.  The participants were 49 teachers and 60 students from the two schools, had been tested their environmental knowledge through questionnaires regarding the implementation of the Adiwiyata-based curriculum and its impact on environmental attitudes and scientific attitudes of students. Structured interviews were also conducted to dig deeper into the problems and solutions made by teachers related to the Adiwiyata project. The results showed that most teachers had tried to incorporate environmental elements into their learning tools, both in the form of assessment instruments and the media. Meanwhile, it was found that the level of environmental awareness of students was classified as high, especially among female students. Follow-up research that refers to optimizing environmental awareness through learning strategies and media is immediately carried out.

Abstract

Abstract - In Lembak delapan Tribes traditional medicine, water decoction of the Sungkai leaves is used for raw material fever-lowering drugs (antipyretics), to maintain good health, and for malaria drug. This study aims to test the effectiveness of the infusion of leaves P. canescens to maintain goodhelth (immunity) in mice (Mus muculus). The Young leaves of Sungkai (P.canensces) was extracted by maceration method using 96% alcohol solvent. This study used 25 male mice strain Swiss Webster with 7-8 weeks old, with a body weight ranging from 30 g. At the immunity test, mice were divided into 5 groups. Group 1 (negative control) were given distilled water, group 2 (positive control) was given imunos 0.07 mg / kg bw, for the three treatment groups were given of the extract dose of 0.186 mg Sungkai / Kg mm, 0.375 mg / kg bw, and 0, 5625 mg / kg bw. Treatment with one gavage, with a span of 24 hours. After the calculation is done by taking a blood leukocytes from mice tail. Data were analyzed using ANOVA tables and followed by LSD test. The results showed that  the Immunity test dose of the most effective in helping the immune system with a dose of 0.567 mg Sungkai extract / kg bw, tends to increase by 36% leukocytes, better than than the comparator dose (imunos) leukosit only increase the amount by 23%.  Keywords: sungkai,immunity, mice

Abstract

Mutu pendidikan di Indonesia masih rendah, kondisi saat ini kemampuan siswa Indonesia di bidang sains berada pada peringkat 48 dari 56 negara, di bidang matematika berada pada peringkat 50 dari 57 negara dan kemampuan memecahkan masalah berada pada peringkat 39 dari 40 negara. Meskipun kondisi saat ini kemampuan siswa Indonesia masih rendah, namun guru seyogyanya bahkan segera mengurangi kemampuan siswa di bidang kognitif rutin, dan manual rutin, akan tetapi ditingkatkan di bidang berpikir tingkat tinggi dan komunikasi kompleks. Penelitian deskriptif ini bertujuan menjelaskan hasil belajar dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa Madrasah Tsanawiyah melalui kerja ilmiah. Subyek penelitian adalah siswa MTsN Barabai kelas VIIA tahun pelajaran 2015/2016 berjumlah 40 orang. Penelitian ini dilakukan dari tanggal 11-30 Mei 2015 yang bertempat di MTs Negeri Barabai. Jenis data yang diperoleh dalam penelitian  ini meliputi a) Data hasil belajar kognitif produk, b) Data hasil belajar kognitif  proses, c) Data hasil keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes hasil belajar dan rubric keterampilan berpikir kritis. Hasil penelitian diperoleh 1) keterampilan berpikir kritis dengan kategori baik adalah a) merumuskan masalah, b) merumuskan hipotesis, c) merancang percobaan, dan d) melakukan pecobaan. Keterampilan berpikir kritis yang belum menunjukkan tanda-tanda perbaikan yakni a) menganalisis data dan b) membuat kesimpulan. Ketuntasan klasikal hasil belajar telah tercapai, baik kognitif produk maupun kognitif proses, dan ada korelasi sesamanya..Kata kunci:        hasil belajar, keterampilan berpikir kritis, kerja ilmiah
