Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas X SMA 11 Yogyakarta. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa dalam penerapan pembelajaran dengan permainan edukatif ular tangga. Berdasarkan observasi awal pembelajaran Biologi di SMA 11 Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2011/2012 memperlihatkan adanya beberapa kendala dalam pelaksanaan Kegiatan Belajar Mengajar (KBM). Proses pembelajaran masih menggunakan metode ceramah  yang berdampak pada hasil belajar siswa yang belum optimal. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, yang terdiri dari lima kegiatan yaitu: (1) Planning, dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah dan merencanakan kegiatan pembelajaran; (2) Acting, yaitu melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan permainan edukatif ular tangga; (3) Observing yaitu pengambilan data tentang proses hasil belajar dan Evaluating yaitu memberikan evaluasi pada siswa; serta (4)  Reflecting, adalah kegiatan untuk menganalisa data  hasil pengamatan. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XA SMA Negeri 11 Yogyakarta tahun ajaran 2012/2013 dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 31 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai hasil belajar maupun keaktifan siswa, pada setiap siklusnya tidak mengalami peningkatan yang sesuai target. Pada siklus I nilai rata-rata siswa 75,36 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 53,33%. Siklus II nilai rata-rata mengalami penurunan menjadi 63,14 dengan ketuntasan belajar klasikal 14,81%. Dari data yang diperoleh, tingkat keaktifan klasikal siswa siklus I dari 29 siswa 17,24% siswa aktif dan aktif sekali. Pada siklus II tingkat keaktifan klasikal menurun, dari 30 siswa 6,66% siswa termasuk kategori aktif dan aktif sekali. Tingkat keaktifan klasikal siswa belum sesuai yang diharapkan yaitu sebesar 80% siswa aktif dan aktif sekali. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa permainan edukatif ular tangga kurang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dan keaktifan siswa pada materi Protista. Disarankan untuk menggunakan metode lain yang lebih cocok dengan materi Protista dan keadaan siswa.  Kata kunci: Permainan Edukatif, Hasil Belajar, Keaktifan

Abstract

This is quasy experimental research, which aims to know the comparison of students learning’s achievement by using variated speech method and guide inquiry  -  discovery. The population of this research was all students at X in senior high school 2 Palopo at academic year 2012/2013 consisting of nine classes. The sample of  this research are X9 experiment class  with guide  discovery-inquiry  method and X8  as control class with variated speech method.  The measurement of learning achievement was done by giving achievement test are multiple choice. The collected data were analyze using descriptive statistic and inferential statistic using t-test with the significant level of 0,05. Average score for experiment class with teach by guide discovery-inquiry method is 82,58 and control class with teach by variated speech method  is 76,87. The statistic result of t-test (α = 0,05) showed the value sig (2-tailed) 0,00 < α (0,05) then the hypothesis H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. This research conclude that there is different of students learning achievement by using guide  discovery-inquiry method acquire highest score better than student use variated speech method.    Key Words :Guide discovery-inquiry Method, Variated Speech Method, Learning Achievement.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the readability of the psychomotor assessment instrument by biochemistry assistant and to know the difficulty of using a psychomotor instrument that developed. This research is part of the research and development. Data were collected from fifteen biochemistry assistants in UAD's biology education program. The instruments used are questionnaires and interview guides. Data were analyzed by using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The result of questionnaire analysis of psychomotor instability readiness by biochemistry assistant is 93,85% with high readability criterion. The linguistic aspect is 95,56% with a high criterion, the aspect of ease of use is 96,67% with a high criterion, instrument objectivity aspect 80% with high criterion and usefulness aspect in practice appraisal 100% with a high criterion. The difficulty in using psychomotor assessment instrument is caused by the division of student task in carrying out biochemistry experiment.

Abstract

The use of synthetic hormone preparations, one of the hormones estrogen widely used by people in the care and  treatment of diseases as hormone replacement therapy. Pigeon pea (Cajanus cajan) as local Leguminoceae plant has not been used optimally as estrogenic plants . The purpose of this study was to identify preclinical to analyze the Cajanus cajan in the blood profile and potential of the reproductive organs as phytoestrogens. The research method using 24 Sprague -Dawley female rats 6-7 months , grouped 3 treatment. The control group , the treatment group pigeon pea solution of 1 : 1 and group treatment solution pigeon pea 1 : 3. Blood sampling on the 8th, 16th hour and the 24th hour (fractions I, fractions II and fractions III ) for the analysis of isoflavones daidzein HPLC method . Treatment pigeon pea solution made up to 36 days. Surgery and organ harvesting ovarian and mammary continued hematoxylin eosin staining . The results showed levels of isoflavones daidzein maximum in treatment 1 : 1, fractions I, II , and III respectively 92773.474 pg / l ; 96766.278 pg / l ; 72033.062 pg / l. Tissue structure experiencing development of ovarian follicles and  germinal proliferation, proliferation of mammary tissue experiencing the lobules and ducts interlobularis development. Conclusion of the study is the pigeon pea daidzein levels in the blood increased in the 24th hour and potential as a natural estrogen.Key Word         : daidzein, phytoestrogens, ovarian, mammary

Abstract

Tepung terigu merupakan komoditas pangan yang banyak digunakan oleh masyarakat. Penggunaan tepung terigu biasanya meliputi dalam proses pembuatan roti, makanan ringan dan aneka masakan. Dalam skala rumahtangga penggunaan terigu ini umumnya tidak digunakan sekaligus. Para konsumen biasanya menyimpan sisa penggunaan tepung terigu dalam jangka waktu yang lama  untuk digunakan secara berkala. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah: 1) untuk mengidentifikasi spesies-spesies kapang  kontaminan yang terdapat pada tepung terigu; 2) untuk meneliti pengaruh lama penyimpanan terhadap keanekaragaman spesies kapang kontaminan pada tepung terigu. Penelitian dilakukan di Laboratorium Mikrobiologi Jurusan Biologi FMIPA Universitas Negeri Malang. Sampel tepung terigu terdiri dari tiga macam merk yang disimpan dalam stoples kaca selama 0 hari, 7 hari dan 14 hari. Sampel tepung diperiksa kualitas mikrobiologinya berdasarkan Angka Lempeng Total Koloni Kapang. Sampel tepung terigu yang diperlakukan dengan lama penyimpanan diambil 25 gram kemudian dilarutkan dalam 225 ml larutan air pepton 0,1% sehingga diperoleh suspensi dengan tingkatan pengenceran 10-1. Selanjutnya dilakukan pengenceran suspensi  sehingga diperoleh suspensi dengan tingkat pengenceran 10-2, 10-3, 104, 10-5, dan 10-6. Masing-masing suspensi diinokulasikan sebanyak 0,1 ml pada permukaan medium lempeng Czapek Agar (CA), lalu diinkubasikan pada suhu 25-270C selama 7x24 jam. Kapang kontaminan yang tumbuh diisolasi, dihitung jumlahnya dan diidentifikasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa : 1) ada 14 spesies kapang kontaminan yang tumbuh dalam tepung terigu yaitu Penicillium funiculosum, Aspergillus flavus, Penicillium paraherquei, Eupenicillium hirayamae  Paecilomyces fulva, Aspergillus oryzae, Penicillium rugulosum, Aspergillus niger, Stachybotrys chartarum, Paecilomyces variotii, Cladosporium sphaerospermum, Aspergillus fumigatus, Aspergillus penicilloides, dan Penicillium corylophilum; 2) pada hari ke-0 terdapat lima spesies, pada hari ke-7 terdapat sembilan spesies dan pada hari ke-14 terdapat 14 spesies kapang kontaminan yang tumbuh      Kata kunci : tepung terigu, lama penyimpanan, kapang kontaminan

Abstract

Curcumin and its derivates (Bisdemethoxycurcumin, Demethoxycurcumin) are natural dyes found in Curcuma xanthorrhiza dan Curcuma longa. Parmacologic evidence suggests all three are antioxidant, antiinflamatory, and anticancer. The objective of this research was to identify and measure the intensity of Curcumin compounds, Bisdemethoxycurcumin, and Demethoxycurcumin rhizome C. xanthorrhiza and C. longa by using 1H NMR spectra. Rhizome C.xanthorrhiza and C. longa collected from Wonogiri, Central Java. The rhizomes were dried in the oven at 40 °C and were powdered using a blender. The dried powder sample was extracted using methanol-d4  containing 0.01% TMSP and followed by ultrasonication for 15 minutes. The supernatant was separated from the solution by 10.000 rpm centrifugation for 10 minutes. The supernatant was transferred to NMR tube and analysed by using JEOL 500 MHz NMR. The obtained data were analysed by Mnova 12 software and Simca 14. Results of comparsion of 1H NMR spectra of both rhizomes with reference were identified Curcumin, Bisdemethoxycurcumin, Demethoxycurcumin compounds. The highest intensity all of three compound was found in Curcuma longa and with One way Anova test result obtained p<0,05. The two rhizomes show a good separation on the OPLS-DA scoreplot with Q2 82,1% indicating a good model. The study showed that Curcumin, Bisdemethoxycurcumin, Demethoxycurcumin compounds were found in both rhizomes and had different intensity

Abstract

This research aimed to describe suitability between assessment made by Biology teacher of 10th grade with the Syllabus. The kind of this research was descriptive. The subject of this research was Biology teacher at Senior High School in Ponorogo Regency. The source of this research was the teacher’s lesson plan and the responses in teacher’s questionnaire. The data collecting techniques were questionnaire and documentation. The data analysis was descriptive percentage. Based on the data analysis are known that assessment made by Biology teacher of 10th grade in the first semester is categorized less in accordance with the Syllabus. Keywords: assessment, Kurikulum 2013

Abstract

Pembangunan dan Industrialisasi ini menyebabkan bertambah akumulasi limbah   dan menjadi acaman pada lingkungan jika limbah tersebut tidak dikelola secara baik. Senyawa berbahaya yang sering dijumpai dalam limbah diantaranya adalah logam berat. Akumulasi logam berat di lingkungan dan dalam tubuh organisme dapat menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi oragnisme itu sendiri. Sehingga diperlukan suatu tindakan remediasi bagi lingkungan yang telah terkontaminasi dengan logam berat. Untuk proses bioremediaasi logam berat pada lingkungan dibutuhkan suatu agen biologis tertentu  yang mampu menyerab logam berat yang terdapat pada lingkungan tercemar. Chlorella sp merupakan suatu agen bioremediasi yang baik, selain dapat hidup pada lingkungan yang tercemar juga dapat memakai logam berat sebagai logam esensial untuk metabolisme. Chlorella sp mampu menyerap beberapa logam berat dengan baik seperti logam Cr (6,660 mg), Cu  (7,126 mg), Cd (8,549 mg), Zn (9,181mg) dan mampu bertahan hidup pada lingkungan tercemar dengan adanya peningkatan biomassanya Cr (0,089 mg), Cd (0,088 mg), Cu (0,090 mg), Zn (0,089 mg ), Kontrol (0,091 mg). Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa chlorella sp mampu menyerap logam berat dan dapat bertumbuh pada lingkungan yang tercemar oleh logam berat, sehingga dapat dipakai sebagai agen bioremediasi logam berat. Abstract

Writing an academic script is not an easy thing even for final semester students at the Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University campus. Through the subjects of Scientific Writing Techniques is given in the second semester (two) as an effort to improve the ability of scientific writing from an early age . This course is given to the students of Biology Education Program, Faculty of Education, Tribhuwana Tunggadewi University, in the first year as an effort to improve the ability to construct ideas into script. This action research has been able to increase students' self-confidence to write using their own language, to develop a background, to be able to cite a reference, to frame a framework of thinking, to write ideas, to write a bibliography, and directly to increase confidence by decreasing frequency of plagiarism. The improvement of aspects in scientific writing is done by several actions: direct instruction, group discussion, peer assessment, and presentation. This action has succeeded in improving the quality of the manuscript measured at the eighth (8th) and 14th (fourteen) meetings, averaging 55 (low categories) to the average 75 (medium category), with the best manuscript 89 (very good).

Abstract

Classroom action research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Karau Pematang Karau Subdistrict, East Barito Regency. Problems experienced by teachers is on the learning process has not been maximized. There are 33 students of class VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pematang Karau, 8 students of whom are willing to interact actively. Learning outcomes average grade VIII students is 45. whereas KKM is 75. This study result to improve learning outcomes using Jigsaw Type cooperative model on the Material Plant . The study was conducted two cycles. Research can improve learning outcomes.
