Abstract

Majene Regency has regulations related to the swallow's nest tax, which is regulated in Regent Regulation (PERBUP) Number 33 of 2015 and Regional Regulation (PERDA) Number 8 of 2015. This regulation governs the procedures for implementing swallow's nest tax management as one of the potential regional revenues. However, in the field, taxpayer compliance is still low. Many swallow's nest entrepreneurs are not honest in providing information regarding the number of production and the time of reporting. Some taxpayers also do not understand or even ignore the existing rules. This study evaluates the compliance of swallow's nest taxpayers, including registration as a taxpayer, filling and depositing the Regional Tax Notification Letter (SPTPD), tax calculation and payment, and arrears payment to the regional treasury. The study results show that the four compliance indicators have not run optimally. The Regional Revenue Agency (BAPENDA) of Majene Regency needs to increase supervision and take decisive steps, including applying administrative sanctions to confiscate assets against non-compliant taxpayers. This effort is expected to improve taxpayer compliance and optimize wallet bird's nest tax revenue.

Abstract

With its TikTok Live feature, TikTok has emerged as an influential platform shaping purchasing behavior. However, more research needs to be conducted that thoroughly examines the impact of TikTok Live information on impulsive buying behavior. This study aims to analyze the influence of TikTok Live information on impulsive buying behavior using a quantitative approach. Data were collected from 140 respondents through a purposive sampling technique. The study is grounded in the theory that TikTok Live is an interactive feature enabling real-time communication of product information to audiences, fostering consumer trust and engagement, which may trigger impulsive purchasing decisions. Impulsive buying refers to spontaneous purchasing decisions driven by emotions and various factors, such as brand loyalty, the desire to try new products, or being enticed by discounts. The findings reveal that the information conveyed through TikTok Live significantly negatively influences impulsive buying behavior. This suggests detailed TikTok Live information encourages rational consumer decision-making, reducing impulsive purchasing tendencies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of destination image, city branding, electronic word of mouth (E-WOM), and travel constraints on the decision of Singaporeans to visit tourist attractions in Batam City. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey approach. The number of samples used in this study was 100 Singaporeans.  Data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to Singaporeans who have visited or plan to visit Batam City. The data analysis technique used was multiple regression analysis to determine the influence of each variable on the decision to visit. The results of the study show that the image of the destination has a significant influence on the decision to visit, where the positive perception of natural beauty, facilities, and community friendliness is the main attraction. City branding also plays an important role in increasing the awareness and interest of Singaporeans in Batam, especially through the promotion of slogans, city icons, and international events. In addition, E-WOM through online reviews and social media has proven to be effective in building trust and influencing travelers' preferences. Meanwhile, travel constraints, such as travel costs and time, have a negative but relatively small influence given Batam's close distance from Singapore. This study concludes that the combination of a strong destination image, consistent city branding promotion, and optimal use of E-WOM can improve Singaporeans' decision to visit Batam.

Abstract

A company's worth is demonstrated by how well it performs and how well it accomplishes its goals. With a focus on basic materials businesses listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2021–2023, this study attempts to evaluate the effects of ESG disclosure and audit quality on company value while taking company size into account as a moderating factor. Based on a sample of 78 firm-year data, the study uses a quantitative methodology that includes multiple linear regression, moderation regression analysis, and descriptive statistics using SPSS 27. The results show that company size, audit quality, and ESG disclosure all have a major impact on company value. However, company size is found to weaken the effect of ESG disclosure and audit quality on company value. These results present a new challenge for future research to expand the scope of time and industries in order to better understand why company size does not moderate the relationship between ESG disclosure, audit quality, and company value.
