Abstract

Factors that cause the low learning outcomes of integrated science are learning model used. Factors that useful to improve the competence of attitude, knowledge and skills. The purposes of this study was to determine differences in the achievement of the integrated IPA competence of learners between guided  discovery learning model with a nuanced conventional scientific approach. This type of research is Quasi Experiment Research and design research that only randomized control group design. Population of this research was all students from grade VIII in junior high school 30 Padang registered on 2015/2016. Population based sampling technique is purposive sampling and cluster sampling. Data collection technique to aspects of knowledge that is a written test or tes objective, for the attitude aspects is the observation sheet and to aspects of that assessment skills to work. This study shows that control class. Thus the results of this study stated there are differences in the achievement of the integrated science competence among learners using guided discovery learning and nuances of the conventional scientific approach to grade VIII in junior high school 30 Padang

Abstract

Learning physics cannot be carried out simply by memorizing, listening, and seeing without experiencing. Physics learning requires students to be able to think critically, creatively, have problem solving skills, and be able to make decisions. In order for students to get meaningful lessons in physics, they need to find their own concepts to be understood. This can be achieved by using an appropriate learning model. One learning model that can be used is guided inquiry. This study aimed to determine the validity of HOTS-oriented worksheets in the guided inquiry model of static fluid learning material. This type of research was Research and Development (R&D). The development steps carried out by Borg and Gall. The instrument used in the study was the validity test sheet. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis.Based on the data analysis, the results show that the HOTS-oriented worksheet in the guided inquiry model on static fluid learning material has a high validity value of 86.65. It means, the learning materials are ready to use in learning process.

Abstract

Implementation of 2013 curriculum requires continuous and integrated evaluation instruments with the  other sciences for learning. Generally, integrated and continuous evaluation instruments are not implemented in the school. One of solution that can be done to overcome this problem was to make the learning evaluation instruments with integrating MSTDC based on ICT. The purpose of this research was to determine the validity, description, practicality, and effectivity  of  learning material with integrating  relevant knowledge and skills  based on ICT.  The  kind of this  research  was  research and  development  (R&D)  with  before-after experi ment  design. Object of this research was  learning material with integrating MSTDC based on ICT. The instru ments  that  used to collect data are validity sheet, practicality sheet, learning outcomes test sheet. There are two results  of the data analysis.  First, a description of the learning evaluation instrument integrates MSTDC based on ICT is valid with an average value of 93.6. Second, the use of learning evaluation instrument integrates MSTDC based on ICT in the assessment of learning outcomes is a practical physics characterized by the average value of the results of responses Physics teacher as a practitioner is 87.96 and the average value of student responses as well as the user is a 82.6 effective for used as an evaluation tool

Abstract

The 2013 curriculum aims to encourage students to be more active in the learning process. The fact in the school shows that 2013 curriculum has not been fully implemented and there are still limited module that can improve students' creative thinking. One of the solution is to use inquiry-based module in learning. This study aims to search the effect of the use of inquiry-based physics module learning on subject of momentum, impulse and harmonic vibration to enhance the students’ creative thinking in X SMAN 8 Padang. Research conducted included the type of Quasi Experiment Research. The population of this study were all students of class X of SMAN 8 Padang at 2017/2018 period. Sampling technique was carried out by purposive sampling technique. Research data is the learning outcomes of students’ creative thinking. The research instrument is the final test to measure the students’ creative thingking. The research data was analyzed with two average similarity tests. Based on data analysis that has been done after using inquiry-based physics module, two research results have been obtained. First, the average value of students’ creative thinking in both sample classes was 79.84 and 76.36. From the Man Withney test, p<α is obtained, so the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Second, the results of the normalized gain test in the experimental class obtained g> 0.70, so that the students’ creative thinking in all four aspects experienced a high increase.

Abstract

The background of this research is not to optimize the learning process of learners to construct or establish his own knowledge, this is due to the limited learning device that can help students learn optimally. This study aims to produce a learning device oriented cognitive conflict strategy viable in terms of validity and practicalities.This type of research is the Research and Development (R & D) model of ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, and Evaluate) which is reduced to develop. Validity and practicalities of involving the six teachers, two teachers, and the subject of limited testing against a group of learners in class X SMA Negeri 1 Airpura.Validity test results lesson plan with a value of 92.06% and worksheets learners with a value of 88.91%, both at very valid criteria. The average value of the practicalities of the teacher's lesson plans amounted to 92.81% and 91.89% for worksheets learners, both with very practical criteria. While the average value of the practicalities of the learners of 74.54% with a practical criterion. These results indicate that, the learning device produced in the category unfit for teaching high school physics in terms of validity and practicalities

Abstract

This study aims to discover the differences of student’s critical and creative thinking skills enhancement after application of problem-solving worksheet and guided inquiry worksheet for student on heat material and gas kinetic theory in 11th grade students in SMAN 2 Padang. The type of this research is quasi experiment with randomize only control group design. This study involved two experiment class, the first one used problem-solving worksheet and the second class used guided inquiry worksheet. Data collection technique were written test using essay question model. The assessment is based on critical and creative thinking skills indicators that’s observable. Data analysis using qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The result showed that after application, there are enhancement on critical and creative thinking skills. Problem solving class is 50% and guided inquiry class is 63%. Based on this study, it can be concluded that: first, critical and creative thinking skills of both classes were increased after the application of problem-solving worksheet and guided inquiry worksheet. Second, the average mark for critical and creative thinking skills on problem solving class is higher than guided inquiry class. Third, there are some differences in the enhancement of critical and creative thinking skills of student who used problem solving worksheet compared to guided inquiry worksheet.

Abstract

Learning science which is done in integrated learning in junior high school level requires an evaluation instrument in accordance with the evaluation standard and based on ICT. Evaluation Instrument of integrated science based on ICT teaching is not yet available in the schools. One solution that can be done to overcome this problem is to make evaluation instrument of integrated science learning based on ICT in accordance with the authentic assessment guidelines. The use of evaluation instrument in integrated science based on ICT is expected to make the assessment proces more interactive, interesting and fun. The purpose of this research is to produce an evaluation instrument of integrated science learning based on ICT which is valid, practice, and effective. The type of research is Research and Development. Research design which is used for limited test is before and after experiment design. There are two kinds of object research, those are evaluation instruments of integrated science learning based on ICT and eighth grade students. The instruments are used to collect data are validity sheet, practicality sheet, and learning outcomes test sheet. Based on analyze of data, there are two results of this research. First, evaluation instrument of integrated science based on ICT has high validity with an average score of 85,24. The design of evaluation instrument of integrated science based on ICT has home, introduction, blue print, instrument, download, and additional menu such as chat and discussion forum. Second, the value of practicallity of worksheet by teachers and students each are 84,44 and 83,17. The Evaluation instrument of integrated science based on ICT is effective to increase learning outcomes of students

Abstract

This research aims to find out the validity level of interactive multimedia. This research is a type of development research using the plomp model . Data source of research this is a team validator includes three physics major of FMIPA UNP's lecturers. teacher of physics SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Basung, as well as students SMA Negeri 2 Lubuk Basung and some student at High School in the city of Padang and cities Pariaman . Instruments research were used in the study is that the instrument Student observation questionnaire , teacher interview instrument , and validation instrument . Instruments The study then validated first advance by experts . Data analysis technique in this research is descriptive statistical analysis technique . Based on data analysis two conclusions can be drawn . First , multimedia interactive  i-spring suite 8 based edupark physics has a characteristic that is composed of a title , profile , user usage , material physics that is associated with edupark physics mifan waterpark Padang Panjang , evaluation , and reference . Secondly , validation of multimedia interactive aided i-spring suite 8 based edupark physics has a value of the validity of the strong . The validity characteristics of this product are in terms of material substance , learning design , appearance ( communication , visual), and software utilization

Abstract

The purpose of research analyzes misconceptions of students in understanding the material stairght motion and parabolic motion in class X SMAN 1 Padang. This type of research was descriptive with a quantitative approach. The population this research was all students class X SMAN 1 Padang who were enrolled in the 2018/2019 school year. The sampling in this research taken with purposive sampling technique. The sample in this research consisted of five classes. The research instrument was a multipe choice FCI test question with open reasons accompanied by CRI. The result of anlyziz data gotten that avrage of misconceptions was 67,5%, unknowing was 22,86%, knowing was 8,42%, knowing but not sure was 1,29%. The froms of misconception experienced by students are: 1) heavy bals faster than light balls, 2) the greater the gravitational force if it approaches the ground or the surface of the earth, 3) the acceleration of the beam b is greater than the beam  a  because when beam a was on the five line beam B was on seven line. The causes of misconceptions are associative thinking, humanistic thinking, wrong intuisi, incomplete/ wrong reasoning, cognitive development, students abilities, and student experience.

Abstract

Ineffective achievement of student competency in learning physics caused by several factors:Teacher use the textbooks of the school when giving lesson about physics, teacher haven’t used ICT materials yet optimally. Scientific approach hasn’t been optimally applied in learning of physics. Teacher are not enough yet in giving some of problems related about materials before starting the lessons. And then the problems that are explained by teacher don’t have the concrete steps to be solved. The solution which is offered in this research is by using e-learning module in setting learning model Problem Based Instruction (PBI). That is aim to increase the achievement of physics competence for student at class X SMAN 3 Padang. To achieve that purpose, it needs to do a quasy experiment research by using the student at class X MIA SMAN 3 Padang who have been registered for 2016/2017 period as population and the sample chosen with purposive sampling technique. An instrument sheets of observation to competence attitude, post-test is to knowledge competence, and performance assessment for competence skills. The data will be analyzed by a chart for analysis attitude competency, using test equality of two average to knowledge competence and skills competence. Based on the data analysis, it can be concluded that there is an influence from the user of learning module in setting model about PBI learning which is related in increasing competence achievement of physics for student class X SMAN 3 Padang by having 95% as the confidence rate
