Abstract

The purpose of this study to develop a Physics Module based on the approval of "science, environmental technology, and society" (SETS) which expected to improve students attitudes, skills, and students perspectives to understanding in environmental management. This type of research is "Research & Development" (R&D) using Plomp model. The validity assessment of the modules was obtained from 3 Physics lecturers at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences UNP as experts, as well as the practicality value of one to one and small groups obtained from students of class XI SMA Pertiwi 1 Padang. The instrument collects data using validity test sheets and practicality tests. The data analysis technique used is descriptive statistical analysis.Based on the analysis of research data, the results obtained from the Physics Module based on Obtaining SETS with the concept of lifestyle zerowaste have an average value of 91.52 with a very strong category of validity. Then, in terms of the use of the Physics Module it has an average practicality value for one 77.19 with a quite practical category. Whereas the mean value obtained in the Assessing components of small group practicality is 81.87. So, it can be concluded that the SETS-based Physics Module with the zerowaste lifestyle concept of global material is valid, and practically used as a source of independent learning for high school students in class XI.

Abstract

This study originated from less enthuses physics subjects by students . Students find it difficult to understand the physics of subjects due to the limited information provided by the teacher and the limited learning resources . One way to overcome it by providing learning resources such as books and learning resources from the internet . Currently the use of learning resources on the Internet is still not optimal because there are many websites that speak English . For media it is necessary to develop a learning Indonesian language learning website that is practically used . The use of learning media as a learning resource is expected to complement the existing learning resources and help students learn both at school and outside of school independently. This study aims to produce instructional media using INCOMEDIA Website X5 Software for learning high school physics class X valid and practical . This research is a Research and Development ( R & D). The research object is the use of learning media INCOMEDIA Software Website X5 . Data collection instrument in this study is the validation sheet and sheet practicality for teachers and students. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis. The results of the validation of the learning media obtained an average value of 77.9 % with the validator valid category . The results on teacher learning media practicality obtained an average value of 87.2 % to the category of very practical , and the practical results of instructional media on the students as users gained an average value of 83.5 % with a practical category

Abstract

Based of Indonesian UNBK, 2019 West Sumatra province’s physics scores is 48.29, which is relatively low. And the analysis results of two high school physics textbooks in the city of Padang, using indicator of creative thinking ability assessment, is 46% (category : “less”). So, the two books do not support creative thinking abilities of students. One of the solutions is to make a physics module based on ability to think creatively. The purpose of this study is to determine the validity of the physics module based on the ability to think creatively, on the subject of temperature, heat and kinetic theory of class XI high school students. Conducted research was Research and Development (R&D) type. The validity test was conducted by 3 experts using a validation sheet containing an assessment of several components, feasibility of the content, the feasibility of construction, the component of inquiry, the feasibility of the language, the feasibility of the module display and the feasibility of creative thinking skills. Based on data analysis, the average validation value obtained was 86% with a very valid category. It can be concluded that the module based on the ability to think creatively is very valid for use in learning physics class XI high school.

Abstract

Increasing the achievement of learners' physical competencies can be done one of them by using a variety of teaching materials, as well as the use of learning models that can improve student learning activities. This study aims to determine the effect of the use of integrated physics teaching materials on social intelligence through a problem-based learning model towards the achievement of physics competencies of class X students of SMAN 16 Padang. This research is classified as Pre-Experimental Design with the design of Pretest- Posttest One Group Design. The population used is all students in class X 2018/2019. The sample is determined using purposive sampling technique. The data of this study include data on attitudes, knowledge and skills competency. After doing the research and continuing with analyzing the data it can be concluded that the use of integrated physics teaching materials social intelligence through problem-based learning models affects the achievement of knowledge competencies by 64.91% while the achievement of student skills competencies is 73.91%.

Abstract

The purpose of learning Physics is to develop knowledge and train students’thinking ability. It can occur when teachers actively engage the students in the learning process (student center). Therefore, teaching  materials that can improve students’ competence is needed, such as worksheet.This research was aimed to produce a content complexity and cognitive process oriented worksheet, which is valid, practical, and effective to be used in teaching and learning Physics at SMA/MA. The type of the research was research and development with 4D development model (define, design, development and desseminate), which is reduced to be 3D. Desseminate phase was not implemented due to time and budget limitation. The research subject was a class of students. Moreover, the research procedure included front-end analysis, students’ need analysis, task analysis, concept analysis, learning objectives analysis, test preparation, media selection, format selection, making draft, expert validation, product revision, and limited testing. Further, instrument used for data collection was a validation sheet, sheet practicalities, students’ responses questionnaire also pretest and posttest. The result of  this research, which is about content complexity and cognitive process oriented worksheet in material about forces on the elastic material, can be presented in two studies. First, worksheet is developed using the 4D model with the findings’ guided model syntax containing scientific approach. Second, the worksheet produced is located in the criteria of very valid and very practical to be used in teaching Physics with the respective  values3.43 and 3.45 also effective to improve the knowledge of students.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the feasibility or properness of student worksheet based on virtual laboratory through ICT in studying quantity and vector among student in tenth grade of senior high school. In order to reach this goal, the R&D research is held which consist of: potential problem, data collection, product design, design validation, and product testing  or product trial. Data are analyzed by using technique of statistical graph. The object in this research is virtual laboratory based-student worksheet through ICT. The result of data analysis show that : the average validity test is 90 in valid category,  the average practicality test of teacher is 86 in practical category, and the average practicality test of student is 83 in practical category. With those results, the virtual laboratory based-student worksheet through ICT valued as proper to be used during the learning process of quantity and vector for the tenth grade student in senior high school.

Abstract

Competency of students in physics class X cross-interest in SMAN 5 Padang has not achieved well. This is due to lack of interest or motivation of students in studying physics, and worksheets that use less attractive and makes learning becomes meaningful. This study carried out to investigate the effect of the applicatio-  LKS oriented reflection learning model on the achievement of competence physics class X in SMAN 5 Padang. The type of this research is a quasi-experimental with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The Populations of this research were all students in class X IS in  SMAN 5 Padang is who listed in the academic year 2014/2015. Sample of this research was selected by purposive random sampling technique and the class was selected as the experimental class is X IS 3 and the control class is X IS 4. The instrument is used to collect data is written test for cognitive competency and observation sheet for affective competence and performance assessment form for the psychomotor competency. Based of the research that has been done, it was concluded that the LKS oriented reflection learning model can improve the competency of physics students in competency knowledge and skills but not the attitude of competency

Abstract

The development of 21st century skills can be done through the discipline of physics. Physics learning in schools has a central role in providing learners with 21st century skills. One of the lessons that can develop students' skills and stimulate students to be active and creative is learning with a science process skills approach. The learning process involves more students acting more actively, as well as managing findings derived from aspects of skills. From the initial studies conducted it was found that students' science process skills in online learning to have a variety of problems. One alternative to problem solving is to develop electronic modules (e-modules) to improve students' process skills. The methodology used in this research is Research and Development (R&D). The model used is the R&D research model according to Sugiyono in 2012. The object of this research is the e-module vibration in everyday life in online learning. The data collection instrument used was a practicality questionnaire. The practicality test instrument consists of four components, it is usability, ease of use, attractiveness, and clarity. The results of the practicality assessment were analyzed based on the interpretation criteria of the scores obtained. Based on the research objectives and data analysis carried out, it was obtained the average value of e-module practicality which was developed according to the teacher, which was 94.5 in the very good category and the average value of e-module practicality according to the students got a value of 90.5 in very good category.

Abstract

This research aimed to investigate the effect of the use of electronic textbooks in teaching Physics to the achievement of student competencies completed. Type of research is quasi-experiment research. The population was students in class X SMA Negeri 4 Padang that is registered in academic years 2012/2013 Technique sampling this research is Purposive Sampling. The data obtained were analyzed using two similarity test average by t test. The results showed that the hypothesis which says "there is a significant influence usage Electronic School Book Physics in learning due to the achievement of competencies students of class X SMA N 4 Padang" acceptable in the real level of 0.05. Thus, the use of Electronic School Book Physics in complete learning can improve students' competencies in the cognitive, affective, and psychomotor. Abstract

This research tries to apply student work sheet (LKPD) with the help of Problem Based Learning (PBL) which is expected to make the students active in learning so that their competence increases. The purpose of this research is to investigate the influence of LKPD of model PBL-assisted teaching on the competence of science students of grade 10th SMA N 9 Padang both on the aspects of knowledge, attitude, and skills. The type of research conducted is quasi experimental research with randomized control group only design. Sampling is done by using purposive sampling technique. Research instruments include final tests for knowledge competencies, observation sheets for attitude competencies and assessment rubrics for skills competencies. Data analysis was perform using statistical test. Based on the data analysis, the average value for experimental group and control group on knowledge competence are 74,25 and 63,18 attitude competencies are 84,38 and 80,04 and skill competence is 86,04 and 82,70. The difference data for all the competencies of the two sample classes is normally distributed and has a homogeneous variance, so that the two-tame equality test with t test is used. From the calculation the percentage of influence of LKPD-assisted PBL teaching model to students' Physic competence in knowledge 17.35 %, attitude 25.05% and skill 32.02%.
