Abstract

Abstract ­­­----- On physic learning in SMA teacher has to prepare instructional design of Physics include syllabus, lesson plan, learning material and evaluation instrument. This instructional design of Physics still in printed. One of innovation in learning is making an instructional design like tutorial video in English. The purposes of this research are to produce an instructional design like tutorial video in English that is valid, practice and effective on Physics learning. The design of this research is Research and Development (R&D) by using 4-D model. The procedures are Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate. The developed designs are syllabus, lesson plan, handout, students’ worksheet, and evaluation. The instruments to collect the data are validity sheet from the experts, try-out practicality sheet from physics teachers, try-out practicality sheet from students, and test. Techniques of product analysis used are analysis of product validity, analysis of practicality, and analysis of effectiveness. The object of this research is the students of class XI IA 1 SMA N 3 Bukittinggi that consists of 27 students. There are three main result of this research. First, there is success to developing an instructional design of Physics that is valid in Physics learning. Second, the result of analyze data show that the instructional design of Physics that is practice in Physics learning based on teachers and students evaluation. Third, the result of analyze effectiveness show that the implementation of instructional design of Physics that is effective in Physics learning based on increasing of students aoutcome according to significant.   Keywords ----- instructional design of Physics, physics learning, tutorial video, tutorial video in English

Abstract

Forces is a part of vector mechanics. Students’ ability in completing the physics’ questions related to force and motion in general is still low. This research aims to know the influence of student worksheet as a systematic approach to problem solving toward students’ achievement. This research is a Pra-Experimental Design with One-Group Pretest Posttest that engages one class from grade X at SMAN 1 Batusangkar. The research data includes knowledge competence taken by using pretest and posttest, and students’ outcomes when the teaching was running were taken by using student worksheet. The analyzing data is using N-gain test to see the increasing  of students’ outcomes in the teaching learning process, and using the relationship of pretest variable (X) and posttest variable (Y) test to see how big its influence toward students outcomes. From the data analysis can be concluded the two outcomes of the research data. The first one is the comparison between the students’ pretest subjection mean with the student worksheetsubjection mean and the posttest subjection mean which have the increasing and decreasing in the teaching learning process. The comparison of the highest subjection mean from the outcome of N-Gain test is the comparison between the subjection of pretest and the subjection of posttest which is 0,58. The second one is the outcome of the relationship between pretest score (X) and posttest score (Y) is 20,43%. It shows that the use of student worksheet in systematic approach to problem solving gives influence toward students’ outcome as big as 20,43%.

Abstract

The research objective is to produce an interactive module using a valid course application based on a scientific approach. This is based on the reality of the field in SMAN 1 Batusangkar, seen that in learning more students accept and copy what is delivered by the teacher due to the method used in learning that is the lecture method that focuses on teacher learning (teacher centered). During the learning process not yet seen all the components of the scientific approach implemented by students due to lack of teaching materials or modules. This research is a mixed-method research which is a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches. This study aims to determine the validity of an interactive module product in accordance with the steps of making teaching materials in the form of modules according to the Ministry of National Education (2008) such as: 1) main display / cover, 2) display of learning instructions, 3) display of competencies to be achieved, 4 ) content of the material, 5) supporting information, 6) Exercises, 7) Student worksheets, and 8) Evaluation. Based on the research that has been done, two research results are obtained. First, this research produces a product in the form of an interactive module using the Course Lab application based on a scientific approach to business material, energy, and momentum. And the results of the second study were the results of the validity test conducted by three UNP Physics lecturers and one physics teacher at SMA 1 Batusangkar with 89.4 validity results with very valid validity criteria. So it can be concluded that the interactive module using the Course Lab application based on a scientific approach to the material business, energy, and momentum is very valid and can be used to test the practicality and effectiveness by subsequent researchers.

Abstract

Interactive Compact Disk (CD)  is one of teaching media that can be used by physics teacher to teach abstract concept like heat and temperature. There are some of the Heat and Temperature concept is abstract, such as the flow of heat on conduction and convecton process that difficult by the student to learn it optimally if only use the printing media. We can make the animation of the abstract concept by using CD interactive, to make the comprehension of the student to Heat and Temperature concept can be optimally. The aim of this research are to product teaching media as interactive CD which has high validity, practicality, and effectivity. This interactive CD will used by senior high school student grade X in physics learning. The type of the Research and Development (R & D). Instrument of research are used form of validity, student and teacher’s response for practicality, effectivity form, and pretest and postest result. Interactive CD are made using Powerpoint software for heat and temperature material. The value of validity is 89, 53 that mean this interactive CD is very valid. Teacher’s respons value is 100 that show this interactive CD is very practice. Student’s respons value is 89 2 that show this interactive CD is very practice in use by students. This interactive CD is very effective that show by effectivity value (89,42) and increasing of postes value 45,28 to be 70,88.   Keywords: Interactive CD, Powerpoint, Heat and Temperature

Abstract

Physics learning is done in accordance with the mandate of the 2013 curriculum that students actively find their own knowledge. The fact in School shows that inquiry learning in physics has not been applied well, and used  of teaching materials is still limited that support the process of learning implementation. Solution that can be done is to create an inquiry self-based physics learning module. The purpose of this study was to determine the validity of the physics-based inquiry learning module and RPP on Newton's legal material about motion and gravity.Research carried out including the type of Research and development (R & D). The object of this research is physics based inquiry and RPP. Based on the data analysis that has been done can be stated the results of the research that the validity of the product has a high level of validity with the average value of validation of physics-based inquiry learning module that is 89.47 and RPP is 90.74 with the criteria of each the same is very valid. It can be concluded that in the investigation of the validation of the physics-based physics learning module on newton's legal material about motion and gravity is very valid for use in physics learning of class X of SMA 2nd semester.

Abstract

Physics learning outcomes of Senior High School in Padang is not optimum. It caused by student worksheet which use student was not support to reach optimum learning outcomes. For this reason student worksheet that support optimally learning outcomes must be develop. A research was doing to investigate influence the student worksheet which be equipped by comprehensive intelligence in Problem Based Learning to physics learning outcomes for grade X in Senior High School 3 Padang must be done. Population of Quasi Experiment Research with randomized control group only design was student for grade X MIA in Senior High School 3 Padang registered on 2015/2016. Technique sampling this research was purposive sampling. Instrument research was objective test sheet for cognitive, observation sheet for spiritual and social attitude and performance rubric for psychomotor. That result of research showed that the mean score of the experiment class is high than control class. Analysis of data that worksheet which be equipped by comprehensive intelligence in problem based learning was influence significantly to physics learning outcomes for grade X in Senior High School 3 Padang

Abstract

The 21st century demands skills that can support human life. Human life is never separated from the various demands that require them to have quality resources so as to make a large contribution to their lives and the lives of the nation. One of the 21st century skills is the 4C skill, namely communication skills, critical thinking skills, collaboration skills and creativity skills. With these 4C skills, students are expected to be ready to face life's challenges and to have quality resources so they don't miss the flow of life and have good competitiveness. In LKS things that we can see from the 4C skills are critical thinking skills, for that in designing LKS we can further highlight them on critical thinking skills, while other 4C skills can be reviewed in the student learning process. However, in learning at SMA N 1 SUTERA 4C skills, especially critical thinking skills have not been fully applied, even though it is really needed. This research belongs to the type of R&D (Research and Development) contained in Sugyono's book. In this discussion we will only see the results of product validity.After product validation, 84.25% was obtained and is in the very valid category. This states that the worksheet can already be used in learning physics

Abstract

The physics achievement of student is still low. Observation results in several high schools in the city of Padang, one of the causes learning material used has not been able to provide adequate achievement of competence for students. This study aims to determine the significant effect on the use of learning material oriented guided inquiry methods to the achievement of student competence on learning physics class X SMAN 9 Padang in the academic year 2017/2018. This type of research is a quasi experiment with Randomized Control Group Only Design. The study population is all students of class X MIPA SMAN 9 Padang. Sampling is done by Cluster Random Sampling technique. The sample of this research is class X MIPA 2 as control class and class X MIPA 4 as experiment class. The data of this research include attitude, knowledge, and skill competency data. Taking on attitude competence using observation sheet, while for knowledge competence with test and skill of data obtained with obervation sheet with scoring section. Data analysis for attitude competence is processed by percentage technique and presented in graph form. In the competence of knowledge and skill is processed by t test, followed by simple regression analysis after fulfilling the requirements of analysis. The result of data analysis shows for the experiment class attitude competence is higher than the control class. For the knowledge competence after the test, the average of experimental class is 75,52 while the control class average is 69,09. On the achievement of the experimental class skill competence of 82.81 while the control class average of 78,38. The result of correlation analysis on knowledge and skill competence obtained rxy 67% and 23%. The result of this research can be concluded that there is influence which means the use of learning material oriented guided inquiry method to student competence on learning physics class X SMAN 9 Padang.

Abstract

The problem in this research is not maximal understanding concepts of  students science which affect competence achievement of science students. The purpose of this research was to investigated the effect of applying Circuit Learning strategy assisted student worksheet towards the competence achievement  of science students grade VII at SMPN 2 Padang. Circuit Learning strategy is a strategy that makes students become more active to exploit the capabilities of thinking so that students gain a better understanding of the materials taught, and this strategy increasing memory of students toward materials that has students understand because the students recording materials that had they understand by connect concepts which they understand in an empty concept maps that have been designed by teachers in their own language. This type of research was Quasi Experimental Research using design of Randomized Control Group Only Design. The population in this research were all students grade VII at SMPN 2 Padang who were registered in the Academic Year of 2015/2016. Sampling was done by purposive sampling technique and cluster random sampling technique. The instrument in this research were competence of cognitive using written tests, competence of affective was measured using observation sheets, and competence of psychomotor was measured using performance assessment sheets. The third hypothesis of competence was analized by using t test at significance level of 0.05. Based on the results, obtained an average value of student learning outcomes of experiment class on the competence of the cognitive, affective and psychomotor are 83.40, 85.97, 87.19. The average value of student learning outcomes in the control class on the competence of cognitive, affective and psychomotor are 79.57, 81.86, 82.94. The results showed the competence of students in the experimental class is higher than the control class. The results of analysis using t test at significance level 0.05 indicates that th > tt, it can be concluded that there are significant effect on the implementation of the Circuit Learning strategy assisted student worksheet towards the competence achievement  of science students grade VII at SMPN 2 Padang
