Abstract

Employability skills are crucial for improving the work readiness of graduates of non-formal education. However, the development of these skills in Package C learners is often understood in a linear, quantitative manner, thereby failing to explain the underlying social processes. This study aims to understand the dialectic between self-management and communication in shaping the employability skills of Package C learners at the SKB Malang City. The study used a qualitative, interpretive case study design. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews with 10 learners, observations of learning, and reflective documentation. Analysis was conducted using thematic analysis through an iterative process of coding, categorisation, and theme extraction. Data credibility was maintained through triangulation and member checking. The study found that self-management functions as an internal regulation that fosters consistency, perseverance, and responsibility in learning. At the same time, communication serves as a social space that strengthens learners’ self-confidence, collaborative abilities, and professional identity. The integration of these two dimensions yields adaptive, context-specific employability skills. Employability skills are not formed in isolation, but through the repeated interaction of self-regulation and communication practices within the dynamics of non-formal learning. The employability skills of Package C students are a social-reflective construct that develops through a dialectical process between self-management and communication skills. These findings broaden the perspective on developing employability skills in equivalency education, moving from a linear to a constructive, contextual approach that better reflects students’ learning experiences.

Abstract

The primary objective of this study was to examine the phonological processes involved in the adaptation of Hindi loanwords into Indonesian. To achieve this goal, the researcher employed a qualitative descriptive approach, relying on documented data of Hindi loanwords as used in Indonesian. The data set consisted of lexical items presented in phonetic transcription, which facilitated systematic phonological analysis. The study's findings revealed two central aspects of the adaptation process. The first aspect concerns vowels, where three main phonological processes were identified: lowering, weakening, and shortening. Lowering, often referred to as vowel drop, involves the modification of vowel height within the vowel space. In contrast, weakening refers to the reduction in the strength or prominence of a vowel sound. Shortening further indicates the reduction of vowel duration in specific contexts. The second aspect pertains to consonantal processes, which include several modifications such as epenthesis, de-affrication, de-aspiration, consonant deletion, alveolarization, and the velarization of nasal sounds. These processes demonstrate the structural adjustments required to integrate Hindi phonological forms into the phonetic system of Indonesian. In summary, the study concludes that phonological adaptation in Hindi loanwords encompasses two major domains: vowel processes and consonant processes, each contributing to the naturalization of borrowed lexical items.

Abstract

Education is a strong pillar of a nation’s development towards genuine and equitable progress. Education is a pillar for building a strong nation, with character, able to adapt to the times while maintaining the nation’s noble culture, which serves as the foundation of its norms and characteristics. Hot issues in education continue to concern how the government contributes to the implementation of equitable and meaningful education, so that equitable development, in line with the discourse of ‘no one left behind’, can be achieved towards Indonesia Emas 2045. This study describes the extent to which the discourse of equitable education in Indonesia has been implemented from an axiological perspective. This research is a literature study. Data on equitable and inclusive education were collected from articles in academic databases, including Google Scholar, Taylor & Francis, and others. The results of this study indicate that, from an axiological perspective, the government’s efforts to uphold equitable education have been realised through various policies, implementation programs, and strategic initiatives oriented towards equity and inclusive education. Axiologically, equitable education aims to advance the discourse of equitable social welfare, building a virtuous society for all levels of Indonesian society across regions with diverse economic, geographic, and social backgrounds. Prudent steps have been taken with established goals, and existing obstacles and supports serve as the basis for further policy development.

Abstract

Literacy skills are an important basic competency for elementary school students in supporting learning success. However, in reality, students’ literacy skills remain relatively low due to teacher-centered instruction and the limited use of innovative, interactive learning media. Therefore, it is necessary to develop e-modules for literacy based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to improve students’ literacy skills. This study aims to develop literacy e-modules based on Problem-Based Learning (PBL) that are valid, practical, and effective in improving elementary school students’ literacy skills. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model, which includes the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The study was conducted at SD Negeri 1 Pagar Air, Aceh Besar Regency, with fifth-grade students as subjects. Data collection techniques included interviews, observations, questionnaires, and literacy tests, including pretests and posttests. The results showed that the developed e-module was categorized as very practical, with validation percentages of 92% among material and media experts, 88% among teachers, and 84% among students. Furthermore, there was a significant increase in students’ literacy skills, as indicated by an average pretest score of 58.8, rising to 99.8 on the posttest. Data analysis also showed that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous, and that there were significant differences between the pretest and posttest results. Therefore, the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) e-module was deemed feasible and effective as a learning medium for improving elementary school students’ literacy skills.

Abstract

Conditions at SDN 104212 Patumbak District indicate that student learning outcomes in science subjects still rely on conventional science learning processes, teacher-centered instruction, and interactive teaching materials, such as inadequate e-learning modules, and assessment instruments that are not yet oriented towards higher-order thinking skills (HOTS). This results in students having fewer opportunities to be actively involved and to improve their science literacy skills. This study uses a research and development method (Research and Development) with the ADDIE development model, which includes the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation, and, at the effectiveness test stage, uses a one-group pretest-posttest design. The results of the study show: (1) The developed e-learning module has an average feasibility percentage of 88% in the very feasible category; (2) The developed e-learning module is stated to be practical based on the results of the student response questionnaire with an average percentage of 92% which means the e-module is easy to use; (3) The e-learning module was declared effective with an average student pretest score of 57.84 with a minimum score of 44 and a maximum score of 69, and a standard deviation of 85.64 with a minimum score of 75 and a maximum score of 94, and a standard deviation of 5.844. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that student learning outcomes improved after using the inquiry-based science e-learning module. Furthermore, the results of the paired-samples t-test showed a p-value < 0.001, indicating a significant difference between the students' pretest and posttest results. Thus, H_0 was rejected, and H_a was accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the digital literacy of economics teachers in several public high schools in Minahasa Regency. The main informants in this study were 11 economics teachers, plus supporting informants consisting of 3 students and 3 school principals. The data analysis technique used was the interactive analysis model by Miles and Huberman, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study used a qualitative approach, collecting data through interviews. First, most economics teachers have a positive perception of digital technology, viewing it as an effective tool for improving material delivery, facilitating access to information, and making learning more engaging for students. This is evident in the use of digital media, including interactive presentations, instructional videos, and online learning platforms. Second, teachers' digital pedagogical practices have largely been implemented, albeit at a basic level, such as delivering material, assigning work, and evaluating through digital platforms. The use of digital technology still needs improvement to make learning more innovative, interactive, and student-centered. Third, teachers face obstacles such as limited technical skills, technological facilities, and a lack of training that supports digital literacy. Overall, the digital literacy of economics teachers at the research site has begun to develop, but still requires improvement through training programs, facility support, and school policies that support the use of digital technology in learning.

Abstract

Learning mathematics, especially spatial figures, remains a challenge for students because it is abstract and often considered difficult. Therefore, innovative learning media are needed to improve students’ conceptual understanding, including Virtual Reality (VR). This study aims to determine the effect of implementing VR media on students’ conceptual understanding of spatial figures in mathematics. This study uses a quantitative approach with a Quasi-Experimental design of the Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design type. The sample consisted of two classes at SMP Negeri 5 Bilah Barat: the experimental and control classes, each with 29 students. Data were obtained through pre- and posttest measures and analyzed using normality, homogeneity, N-Gain, and paired-samples t-tests. The results showed that students’ conceptual understanding in the experimental class was higher than in the control class. The average score of the experimental class increased from 42.79 to 75.07, while the control class increased from 49.03 to 56.96. The N-Gain test showed an increase of 59.5% in the experimental class and 16.5% in the control class. The Paired Sample T-Test significance value of 0.000 (< 0.05) indicates a significant difference after the application of VR media. Virtual Reality (VR) learning media has a positive, quite effective effect on students’ understanding of mathematical concepts in spatial figures material.

Abstract

This research is driven by the gap between the Love-Based Curriculum paradigm—which highlights mercy, empathy, manners, and compassion—and classroom learning practices, which remain confined to cognitive outcomes. This gap hinders effective character education, especially in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah settings. This study seeks to design a structured, applicable, and contextually relevant Love-Based Curriculum Learning Model and to evaluate its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing character education among students at Sabang State Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, encompassing analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Participants included teachers and students, and data were gathered through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. Study findings show the model is valid (average score: 84%), practical (85% for learning syntax, 88% for teacher response), and effective, as evidenced by an increase in student character from 66% to 86%. The model weaves mercy, empathy, manners, and local wisdom into learning syntax through empathy-driven introductions, experiential exploration, value reflection, and character reinforcement. Consequently, this model demonstrably enhances character education and is recommended as an alternative instructional method in madrasas.

Abstract

Bubiti oral literature, poetry from the Lampung Pubian tradition that is starting to become extinct due to limited documentation, is rarely used by the Lampung community, and there is a lack of digital teaching materials. Other Lampung literary research only focuses on social functions or other general types of literature; this study specifically digitizes Bubiti literary texts that have never been documented in learning media before. This study aims to develop and test the feasibility and effectiveness of Bubiti text e-modules based on Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) for elementary school students. This study uses a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) method development design. The feasibility test was carried out through expert validation, while the effectiveness test used a one-group pretest-posttest design for 27 fourth-grade students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and a learning outcome improvement test (N-Gain). The product feasibility assessment obtained an average score of 3.64 (91%), involving material experts, learning media experts, and Lampung language educators to ensure the quality of the media content and appearance. The effectiveness test showed an increase in learning outcomes with an N-Gain value of 0.67 (medium-high category). Student responses also demonstrated a high level of practicality. The TPACK-based Bubiti e-module proved valid, practical, and effective in improving Lampung literary literacy while also serving as a digital-based cultural preservation medium.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of reading instruction in early childhood education to fulfil parental expectations for children’s reading competence. The research employed a qualitative approach with a multisite case study design conducted at TK Negeri Tambora 01 and PAUD Pelita Hati in Jakarta. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis involving school principals, teachers, and parents. Data analysis was carried out using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that reading learning management is implemented through four main stages: planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling. In the planning stage, learning activities are designed based on children’s developmental needs while considering parental expectations. In the organizing stage, coordination among teachers and collaboration with parents support the learning process. In the implementation stage, reading learning is conducted through play-based, interactive, and technology-supported activities that enhance children’s engagement. In the controlling stage, evaluation is carried out through observation and parental feedback, followed by continuous improvement through follow-up activities. The study concludes that effective reading learning management requires a balanced approach that integrates developmentally appropriate practices with parental expectations. Parental involvement plays a significant role in supporting children’s literacy development, but it must be managed carefully to avoid excessive pressure. This study contributes to understanding how learning management can be adapted to foster meaningful and sustainable early literacy development in early childhood education.
