Abstract

This study is intended to depict how impression learning (IL) principles were fused into an English class in an Indonesian Islamic elementary school and how the students' grammar skills were fostered during and after the learning process. This research implemented a classroom practice-based model to explore the delivery of IL programs, specifically focusing on teaching the preposition of places through the concept of singular and plural using simple present continuous tense to young learners. The IL principles were a combination of Talqiyyan Fikriyyan and inductive learning to make the teaching-learning process active, student-centered, and felt by pupils. A case study was also used to investigate various aspects of a particular phenomenon, including teaching steps, teacher-students dialogues, and student engagement in the learning process. Moreover, concrete materials were intentionally deliberated to stimulate students' senses, thus adding a unique dimension to the study. In addition, two intervention sessions were designed in which each intervention consisted of (a) teaching grammar from specific to general and (b) twelve steps of teaching IL principles (opening the class by giving a prayer, motivating and reminding the rules of learning, remembering the previous lesson, asking the students' prior knowledge related to the material and mentioning the lesson objective, stimulating students' interest in learning by observe and imitate, saying the sentences, installing the Islamic value, engaging students to play words card game, giving some rewards, question and answer, explaining the material comprehensively, and reflection). Hence, this study provides an alternative model of teaching grammar to young learners.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the historical background of the separation between India and Pakistan. Descriptive qualitative is used as a method of this research with a data collection method in the form of content analysis so that the author can analyze the origin of the separation of India and Pakistan through historical documents, documentary films, and related historical writings. The results of the analysis found that the main cause of this tragedy was the problem of Islam and Hinduism that had occurred long before Christ, where India and Pakistan, the majority of Hindus and Muslims, had a grudge against one another, they felt they had authority, felt superior to each other as during the reign of one of the kings of the Mughal dynasty leaders who applied dictatorial rules that made Hindus feel depressed and Islam, which was a minority, felt unsafe and received treatment that was deemed inappropriate, as a result both parties suppressed religious freedom and committed violence to be superior and were supported by the political factor of British colonization. This was followed by a massive migration in 1947, said to be the bloodiest migration in the world, due to rampant violence, killings and thefts totaling millions of deaths.

Abstract

This paper aims to discuss Uthman bin Mazh'un's paragraph in visuals, literature in the Nusantara and the international exhibition of the power of the Ka'bah II. The character of the Prophet Muhammad's companion is that of a friend who cares about others' suffering. Next, the visual form of paraga Uthman bin Mazh'un will be explained, along with its meaning in a review of Indonesian literature and in the international exhibition of the power of the Ka'bah II. Visual, literary, and exhibition discussions will help readers understand the character in a cultural context. Visual paraga in the form of wayang implies a specific message to the audience. Especially when exhibited on the international scene. Apart from that, the messages in Javanese literature are moralistic and intended for connoisseurs. Therefore, Uthman bin Mazh'un's paragraph in the wayang Kekayon Khalifah can serve as a beautiful educational tool for the public, both in appearance and language.

Abstract

Prayer is one of the main pillars of Islam and even serves as an identity for Muslims and their civilization. Prayer and the mosque as a place of prayer are the two leading institutions in Islam. The command to pray is obligatory for every Muslim who has reached the age of puberty, both in normal conditions and with special needs, such as even a child with a person with quadriplegia. The Special School (SLB) is one of the schools that carries out prayer guidance for children with special needs. The spiritual condition of disabled children in SLB has decreased, one of which is due to their neglect in praying. So, with this prayer, guidance is needed to improve the spiritual intelligence of children with physical impairments. The fact is that the habit of praying regularly at school and at home can raise children's awareness and motivate them to practice worship. This study aims to determine the concept of prayer guidance, prayer guidance techniques, and the results of prayer guidance in increasing spiritual intelligence in children with physical disabilities at Cileunyi State SLB, Bandung Regency. This study uses a qualitative method. The results of the study show that the concept of prayer guidance carried out there includes preparation before prayer, namely ablution, covering the genitals, determining the place and direction of prayer, and performing the prayer standing and sitting. The prayer guidance technique applied is through repetition and habituation, both individually and in groups. The results of prayer guidance show cognitive, affective, and psychomotor changes, namely: the ability to name and distinguish the time and number of prayer cycles, the ability to practice reading and prayer movements, and a change in attitude.

Abstract

This pioneering study investigates how Islamic microfinance institutions (IsMFIs) digitally empower women entrepreneurs post-COVID-19 and support the SDGs. It seeks to enlighten policymakers, practitioners, and scholars on the intricate relationship between digital empowerment, women entrepreneurship, and IsMFIs. The study employed rigorous qualitative methodologies to tackle the topic's complexities. Extensive semi-structured interviews were conducted with IsMFI personnel, stakeholders, and digitally benefiting women entrepreneurs. A theme analysis was used to understand participants' viewpoints. Themes and iterative coding were employed to evaluate data. The study explored digital financial inclusion, technology literacy, digital challenges, and IsMFI transformation. Research sheds light on complex processes. According to findings, IsMFIs are instrumental in guiding women-owned companies through the digital landscape by providing digital financial services and training. They advance SDGs, gender equality, and economic prosperity. Gender inequality and internet access can be addressed through innovative collaborations and ideas. Participant biases, a standard limitation in qualitative research, were acknowledged. The study revealed the complex responsibilities of digital empowerment and IsMFIs, opening up new regional and cultural research avenues. The report underscores the need for gender-sensitive digital entrepreneurship policies and solutions. The article advocates for concentrated training and technology to optimize IsMFIs. This study fills a gap in the literature by examining the relationship between IsMFIs, digital empowerment, and women entrepreneurship. The contextualization of digital empowerment in this study underscores its urgency and significance

Abstract

This study explores the factors influencing the competitive advantage of Islamic banks in Indonesia through a systematic literature review (SLR). The study examines the development of the Islamic banking sector in Indonesia since the enactment of Law No. 7 of 1992 and highlights various aspects such as regulation, supporting infrastructure, public literacy, and supervision. Based on OJK data as of June 2023, Islamic financial assets reached IDR 2,450 trillion, with the Islamic capital market and Islamic banks as the largest contributors. The results show that the most significant factors influencing the competitive advantage of Islamic banks include the marketing mix, the role of technology, banking facilities, environmental influence, market orientation, training, infrastructure, the role of the government, service quality, Islamicity performance, online media marketing, customer relationship management (CRM), green banking, and intellectual capital. Most of the research uses quantitative methods (65%), followed by qualitative methods (33%) and mixed methods (7%). This study suggests that Islamic banks need to focus on these factors in their strategies to remain competitive in a dynamic and competitive market, with government support and the implementation of innovative technology as key success factors.

Abstract

The research aims to explore the role of halal literacy in increasing interest in purchasing halal products, with a focus on understanding changes in material properties and the concept of colloids in science class. The research issue is how integrating halal literacy into science learning can affect students' interest in buying halal products. This research uses a quantitative design with survey methods. The data was collected through a questionnaire given to 125 X-grade students at one of the top preventive schools in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. The students have studied the changes in state of matter and the concept of colloids. Data analysis is carried out using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques to determine the relationship between halal literacy and interest in buying halal products. The research also uses case studies to understand the specific context of teaching in the science classroom. The results of the analysis show that there is a significant positive correlation between halal literacy and interest in purchasing halal products. Students with a higher level of halal literacy tend to show greater interest in purchasing halal products. In addition, an understanding of the concept of colloids and substance changes in science classes also contributed to the improvement of students' literacy. The findings underline the importance of a holistic approach to education, combining science and literacy, to shape consumer awareness and preferences for halal products.

Abstract

This article provides a new perspective on responding to the turmoil in Palestine from 1948 to the present. The main argument of this article is that the primary cause of the Palestinian issue is the existence of the Zionist Jewish occupiers in Palestinian land, supported by the United States and its allies. Hence, the solution to this occupation is to liberate Palestine from Zionist occupation. This study uses the concept of jihad in Islam as a framework to explain the steps in liberating Palestine. The method used is qualitative analysis of data collected from various books, journals, and websites. This study finds that, given the current conditions in Palestine, the approach of jihad is the most realistic approach that pro-Palestinian Muslim-majority countries can undertake. However, the implementation process is inaccessible due to several factors, including the political, economic, and military conditions in Muslim countries, as well as the dominant ideologies currently followed and applied by these countries.

Abstract

In the era of globalization, the concept of Free Trade has dominated international trade policies, emphasizing liberalization and minimal government intervention. However, there is growing criticism of the negative impacts of Free Trade on justice, the environment, and the economy. This research aims to analyze the integration between the Fair Trade concept and Sharia Economic principles as one of the concepts that can criticize the Free Trade concept. Fair Trade emphasizes fair trade by ensuring that producers in developing countries practice economic fairness. Likewise, the principles of Sharia Economics emphasize distributive justice, transparency, and sustainability. The integration of these two concepts can create a framework that promotes fair, sustainable trade oriented toward community welfare. Drawing on qualitative sources—journals, books, and previous research —this article explains how these two concepts can complement each other in the current global economic context. The results of this research show that integrating Fair Trade and Sharia Economics can provide fairer solutions to address global trade challenges, promote justice, and ensure economic prosperity for all parties involved. This article offers insights into the current international trading system and further explores the potential for cooperation between these two concepts. The integration of Fair Trade and Sharia Economics is not only a critique of the Free Trade concept but also an effort to build a trade system that is fairer, more sustainable, and oriented towards human values and justice.

Abstract

Abstract: The extracurricular program which is divided into several specializations shows the importance of supporting the development of Islamic character in schools. This cannot be denied, because character is a complex activity that involves family, community and the school environment. Extracurricular activities are learning activities held outside school hours as an addition or complement. Extracurricular programs are organized with the aim of developing students' potential, talents, interests, abilities, personality, cooperation and independence optimally. The aim of the research is to determine the role of extracurricular programs in building students' Islamic leadership character. School and extracurricular activities are a holistic unit and mutually influence a child's leadership character. The learning process occurs in both to create reliable human resources. In theory, learning is essentially an "individual process" which means that it occurs in humans uniquely. Qualitative research is descriptive. which describes completely and holistically the phenomena that occur. The research was conducted at the AL-Kayyis Gresik Integrative Islamic Elementary School with data collection techniques using in-depth interviews, participatory observation and document analysis. Meanwhile, qualitative research data analysis uses Miles & Huberman, namely; (1) data reduction, (2) data presentation, (3) drawing conclusions. Extracurricular programs can be recreational, achievement or life skills. Thus, there is a holistic and synergistic relationship between extracurricular activities and the cultivation of students' Islamic character. Keywords; Extracurrucular, Islamic Character, Children.
