The meatball tofu industry in Sendangguwo Village, Semarang City, is a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) with unique characteristics. It operates as a meat processing unit sourcing raw tofu externally. Its intensive animal protein processing generates liquid waste with a very high organic load. This study aims to analyze the liquid waste quality based on TSS, pH, BOD, and COD parameters, evaluating compliance with recent regulations. The research employs a quantitative descriptive method with longitudinal sampling at three points: upstream (X1), waste convergence point (X2), and downstream (X3). Analyses were conducted in an accredited environmental laboratory using SNI methods. Results indicate the Sendangguwo River's water quality significantly exceeds the Class II standards of Government Regulation No. 22 of 2021. At the discharge point (X2), BOD reached 107.25 mg/L and COD 143.29 mg/L. While statistically below the emission limits for the Meat Processing Industry under Central Java Regional Regulation No. 5 of 2012, technical analysis confirms the raw effluent concentration breaches regulations before river dilution. The river's water quality is categorized as "Heavily Polluted," necessitating interventions like grease traps and communal wastewater treatment systems.

Hospital management, leadership, and governance have an important role in ensuring the successful implementation of hospital accreditation policies. This study aims to analyze the influence of leadership and management governance on the implementation of accreditation policies at the Medan City Air Force Hospital. This study uses a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design, in which quantitative research is conducted first, followed by qualitative analysis to deepen the research findings. The quantitative sample comprised 80 health workers and managerial staff, selected using the total sampling technique. At the same time, qualitative data were obtained through purposive sampling involving five key informants: the hospital head, the hospital secretary, and the head of the installation. Data were collected through structured questionnaires with a Likert scale, in-depth interviews, observations, and document review. Quantitative data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression, while qualitative data were analyzed using thematic analysis. The results showed that leadership had a significant effect on the implementation of hospital accreditation policies (β = 0.228; p < 0.05). Management governance also exerted a significant influence on the implementation of accreditation policies (β = 0.716; p < 0.05). These findings show that effective leadership and good management governance are important factors in strengthening the hospital's quality management system and ensuring the sustainability of accreditation implementation.

Telemedicine has become an important innovation in digital health services to improve healthcare accessibility and quality, particularly for National Health Insurance (JKN) participants in Indonesia. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between telemedicine utilization and healthcare service quality among JKN patients at the Primary Healthcare Facility (FKTP) Flamingo Clinic, Lanud Soewondo, Medan. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample was selected using a total sampling technique, involving all JKN patients who utilized telemedicine services at FKTP Flamingo Clinic during the research period. Data were collected using structured questionnaires measuring respondent characteristics (age, gender, occupation, and frequency of telemedicine use) and telemedicine service factors, including perceived usefulness, ease of use, interface quality, interaction quality, and system reliability. Data analysis was conducted using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Chi-square test. The results showed that respondent characteristics such as age (p=0.614), gender (p=0.636), occupation (p=0.190), and frequency of telemedicine use (p=0.467) were not significantly associated with healthcare service quality. However, perceived usefulness, ease of use, interface quality, interaction quality, and reliability were significantly associated with healthcare service quality (p<0.05). These findings indicate that technological usability and communication quality in telemedicine services play an important role in improving patient satisfaction and healthcare service quality.

Environmental sustainability has become a critical concern in healthcare institutions, where hospitals generate significant amounts of waste and consume large volumes of energy and resources. This study reviews the literature on the influence of green hospital practices and efficient medical waste management on hospital image. A systematic review of five recent studies published between 2024 and 2026 was conducted, focusing on sustainable hospital management strategies, pharmaceutical and domestic waste management, and eco-efficiency initiatives. The findings indicate that the implementation of green hospital practices including energy efficiency, sustainable resource utilization, environmentally friendly infrastructure, and waste minimization contributes significantly to operational sustainability. Efficient medical waste management, supported by structured systems, staff training, and policy enforcement, reduces environmental risks and ensures regulatory compliance. Moreover, hospitals that adopt these practices demonstrate greater social responsibility, which enhances their public image, fosters patient trust, and strengthens stakeholder perceptions. In conclusion, green hospital practices and efficient medical waste management are essential for sustainable healthcare operations. They not only reduce environmental impact and improve operational efficiency but also serve as strategic tools for enhancing hospital reputation. Institutional commitment, continuous education, and policy integration are key factors for achieving effective environmental management in healthcare settings.
