Abstract

This study examines the issue of online gambling among students at Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED), focusing on students’ views about the risks and potential benefits of online gambling, as well as the factors influencing their choices to participate or avoid it. Using a quantitative approach, the research surveyed 50 UNIMED students through a Google Form questionnaire, collecting data on financial risks, potential gains, and decision-making processes. The results revealed that 62% of students avoid online gambling due to fear of financial loss, while 58% cited financial concerns as a major deterrent. Interestingly, 86% of students were not tempted by the idea of earning money quickly, and 82% prioritized risks over potential benefits when deciding whether to gamble. The study concluded that most UNIMED students, particularly those of Islamic faith, actively avoid online gambling due to legal and religious awareness, financial risk understanding, and concerns about negative impacts on academics and mental health. The findings suggest a low prevalence of online gambling among UNIMED students, indicating a relatively safe campus environment, and provide insights for designing educational policies to prevent gambling among university students.

Abstract

In the learning process, students' self-concept and self-regulation will influence the quality of their learning and will determine what their learning outcomes will be like. These two components will apply in any field of study, including the field of tahfizh al-Qur'an. Therefore, this research aims to determine the influence of self-concept and self-regulation on learning outcomes in the tahfizh al-Qur'an program at SMA IT. The type of research used is multiple linear regression research with a quantitative approach. The population was 242 students and the sample was 23 students. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and documentation. The results of this research show that; Self-concept has a significant effect on student learning outcomes in the tahfizh al-Qur'an program, with a significance value of 0.029 0.05. Self-regulation does not have a significant effect on student learning outcome variables, with a significance value of 0.836 0.05. However, self-concept and self-regulation simultaneously appear to have a significant effect on student learning outcomes in the tahfizh al-Qur'an program. The significance value was found to be smaller than 0.05 and the contribution was 50.4%. Therefore, this research concludes that self-concept and self-regulation influence student learning outcomes in the Tahfizh Al-Qur'an program, contributing 50.4%.

Abstract

The development of technology and social changes have resulted in a moral crisis among the younger generation. Islamic religious education, as a means of character education, should serve as the primary foundation for shaping one's moral intelligence. Religious literacy represents an understanding derived from religious education. Without a proper understanding of the teachings of religious beliefs, character education will never have a solid foundation, and inadequate character education will exacerbate the current moral crisis. It is crucial to examine how religious literacy, as a form of religious understanding and the outcome of Islamic religious education, influences students' moral intelligence in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the influence of religious literacy on students' moral intelligence in the digital era at SMAN 4 Cimahi. The study employs a quantitative approach. A sample of 120 respondents, who are students of SMAN 4 Cimahi, was collected. Quantitative data analysis was performed using SPSS version 25. Based on the results of the study, the results of the statistical test showed that the t-value was 2.111 t. table 1.658, then H1 was accepted and H0 was rejected, so it can be concluded that in general, religious literacy has a positive effect on students' moral intelligence.

Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this article explains how PAI teachers can integrate resilience values through teaching methods that involve modeling, providing motivation, and using relevant religious texts. Apart from that, this article also describes the benefits of internalizing resilience in helping students develop positive attitudes, manage stress, and foster enthusiasm to continue learning even when faced with difficulties. In conclusion, the internalization of resilience values in PAI not only strengthens students' religious aspects, but also forms a generation that is more resilient in facing life's challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of Mahmud Yunus' educational concepts in the context of modern Islamic education with a focus on technological integration. Mahmud Yunus emphasized the importance of integration between religious and general sciences as well as active and participatory teaching methods. In this study, Yunus' integrated curriculum approach is explored for application alongside modern technologies such as e-learning and learning apps. The research method uses qualitative analysis of existing educational literature and practices. The results show that technology can enrich the learning experience with dynamic and interactive methods, supporting curriculum integration that balances moral and academic values. However, significant challenges include dependence on technology and privatization of education that can threaten character and social values important in Islamic education. This research suggests the need for strict regulation of technology use, training for educators, and the development of Islamic value-based curriculum guidelines to ensure that technology supports, rather than replaces, the principles of Islamic education. In conclusion, technology should be carefully integrated to improve the quality of education without compromising the essence of Islamic education.

Abstract

In Muhammadiyah's efforts to spread the values of Islam Berkemajuan, an effective da'wah strategy is essential. In this study, the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method was used to determine the best da'wah strategy. In this analysis, three main criteria were used: Alignment with Muhammadiyah Values (KNM), Effectiveness of Delivery (EP), and Ease of Implementation (KI). Alternative da'wah strategies analyzed include Digital Da'wah (DD), Educational Da'wah (DP), and Social Da'wah (DS). The results of the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) calculation show that the criterion with the highest value is Alignment with Muhammadiyah Values (0.5075), followed by Delivery Effectiveness (0.24). The results of the strategy prioritization step are as follows: Dakwah Pendidikan (DP) received the highest weight of 0.5075, while Dakwah Digital (DD) received a weight of 0.2473, and Dakwah Sosial (DS) received the lowest weight of 0.2452. Therefore, Educational Da'wah (DP) becomes the most recommended strategy as it has the highest weight, indicating that the educational method is more in line with Muhammadiyah's values and more effective in implementation. Based on these findings, Muhammadiyah is advised to strengthen the role of education as the main strategy in da'wah, while still optimizing the use of digital technology to increase the effectiveness of message delivery.
