Abstract

This study examines the consumption behavior of K-Pop fans from the perspective of maslahah in Islamic economics. The main problem raised is the imbalance between the fulfillment of needs and desires, and how it is relevant to the concept of welfare according to Islamic law. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the consumption behavior of K-Pop fans reflects the principles of maslahah which emphasize the balance between worldly satisfaction and the blessings of the hereafter. This study uses a descriptive-analytical approach with qualitative methods. Data were collected through observation and interviews with a number of K-Pop fans in the author's environment as research samples. The results of the study indicate that consumption that is oriented solely to the fulfillment of desires tends to be inconsistent with the principles of maslahah, because it ignores the spiritual aspects and social responsibility in Islam. The implications of this finding emphasize the importance of awareness of Islamic values in forming consumption behavior that is not only materially satisfying, but also has worship value and supports the achievement of true welfare.

Abstract

Islamic education in the midst of global competition is required to adapt to the ever-changing circumstances and conditions of the times. Traditional organizational management will cause Islamic education to lose its direction and existence. This study aims to conduct a review and analysis of the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) in Islamic education from the perspective of the Qur'an. The method used in this study is a literature review, involving the examination of various relevant and related sources, including books and scientific journals. The analysis involves comparing and integrating the principles of TQM from the perspective of the Qur'an. The results of the study indicate that the main principles of TQM are consistent with and have points of convergence with the teachings of the Qur'an. For example, the principle of “layyinah” is in line with the principle of customer satisfaction, the principle of ‘syawir’ is consistent with the principle of fact-based management, while the principle of respect for all people is in line with the principle of “tahiyyat” as explicitly mentioned in the Qur'an. Similarly, continuous improvement in quality enhancement efforts is relevant to the Quran. This study recommends the importance of adopting TQM as a management approach for Islamic education that aligns with the values of the Quran.

Abstract

Speaking strategy is a method taken by language learners to solve problems when learning to speak. Speaking learning strategies have two types, namely direct speaking learning strategies which consist of memory strategies, cognitive strategies and compensatory strategies, while indirect speaking learning strategies consist of metacognitive strategies, affective strategies and social strategies. The use of speaking strategies is widely used by language learners, including language learners who have introverted personalities. Introverted personalities usually tend to prefer doing things themselves, focusing more on their own thoughts. The aims of this research to analyze the speaking learning strategies used by introvert students.  This research uses qualitative research methods by taking five introverted based on the results of the MBTI test. Researchers used interviews and questionnaires as data collection techniques. The research results showed that introverted students used four speaking strategies, namely memory strategies, cognitive strategies, compensatory strategies and meta-cognitive strategies. The research results also show that cognitive strategies and compensatory strategies are the strategies most frequently used by introverted students from the 4th semester English education study program in Universitas Muhammadiyah Kotabumi.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of game-based learning strategies in improving physical education learning outcomes among fifth-grade students. A quasi-experimental research design with a pre-test and post-test control group model was employed. The sample consisted of 40 students from SDN Gondangan, divided equally into experimental and control groups. The experimental group received instruction through a structured game-based learning approach, while the control group followed conventional physical education methods. A purposive sampling technique was used to select participants based on equivalent academic and physical performance backgrounds. Data were collected using standardized physical education achievement tests administered before and after the intervention. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, including paired sample t-tests and independent sample t-tests, were conducted to evaluate learning outcomes. The results revealed statistically significant improvements in both groups; however, the experimental group exhibited a significantly greater increase in mean scores compared to the control group (p < 0.001). These findings suggest that game-based learning is more effective in enhancing student engagement and achievement in physical education. The study concludes that integrating game-based strategies into elementary physical education curricula can lead to improved learning outcomes and foster more active, participatory learning environments. These findings offer valuable implications for curriculum development, instructional practice, and future educational research in primary school settings.

Abstract

The study aims to analyze the influence of the use of web-based digital learning media on increasing the citizenship literacy of Informatics Engineering students. Civic literacy is understood as a multidimensional competence that includes cognitive, affective, and participatory aspects in the life of the nation and state. The research method used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of a non-equivalent control group design. The study sample consisted of 58 students, divided into experimental (n=28) and control (n=30) groups. The experimental group received web-based learning over six meetings via a digital platform, while the control group followed conventional learning. The results of the analysis using the t-test showed a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group on the post-citizenship literacy test score (p < 0.001), with an effect size (Cohen's d) of 1.64 which showed a large influence. These findings suggest that web-based learning is effective in strengthening students' understanding and engagement with civic values. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of developing digital media in Citizenship learning to create a generation of critical, ethical, and participatory digital citizens.

Abstract

The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in Indonesia introduces significant pedagogical shifts, particularly in how educational resources are managed and utilized in primary schools. One of the key components of this curriculum is IPAS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial), an integrated subject combining science and social studies aimed at promoting contextualized, inquiry-based learning. This study explores the strategies employed by SDN Gondang, a public primary school in East Java, in managing educational resources to support effective IPAS instruction under the Merdeka Curriculum framework. Employing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers and school leaders, direct classroom observations, and analysis of instructional documents. The findings reveal that the school implements various adaptive strategies, including collaborative development of contextual teaching materials, integration of local environmental content, use of simple digital media, and peer mentoring among teachers. Despite facing limitations such as infrastructure gaps and varying levels of teacher preparedness, SDN Gondang demonstrates innovative and resourceful practices aligned with the curriculum’s principles. The study highlights the importance of leadership, professional collaboration, and continuous capacity building in enabling effective educational resource management for curriculum reform. These insights offer valuable implications for schools across similar contexts seeking to strengthen the implementation of integrated subjects like IPAS.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a social studies curriculum that is integrated with local and global contexts to strengthen the character of the nation in elementary school students. The development was carried out in response to the need for a curriculum that is able to bridge the gap between local wisdom values and global issues within the framework of the Independent Curriculum and the Pancasila Student Profile. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the Borg & Gall model approach which is modified into six main stages: preliminary study, curriculum design, expert validation, revision, limited trial, and final revision. Product validity was tested by five experts, practicality was assessed by teachers and students, and effectiveness was measured through a pre-test and post-test design of one group on 41 students. The results showed that the curriculum developed was very valid (88.6%), practical (positive response of 92% of teachers and 88% of students), and statistically effective (t = 10.42; p < 0.05) in improving students' social behavior. These findings suggest that a local-global integrated social studies curriculum can be an innovative approach to character-based contextual learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore an adaptive inclusion education model for students with mobility barriers at SD Karang Jati Blora. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through classroom observations, in depth interviews with classroom teachers, Special Assistant Teachers, students, and parents, and field documentation. This study found that inclusive learning strategies are applied through assignment modification, flexibility of evaluation methods, and the active role of Special Assistant Teachers as academic and emotional companions. The findings also showed that students' social interaction with movement barriers took place positively in the classroom, supported by a culture of peer empathy and a non-discriminatory approach to teachers. Parents play an important role in supporting children's learning processes, even though they have not been systemically involved in the preparation of learning. The main challenge facing schools is the absence of specialized training, formal documentation systems such as the Individualized Education Plan, on the role of Special Assistant Teachers. The study recommends the need for more affirmative education policies, ongoing training, and strengthening collaboration between stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of adaptive inclusion practices in primary schools.
