Abstract

This research aims to examine the obligations of parents in providing religious education to children from the perspective of Islamic family law in Indonesia. Religious education is a basic right of children guaranteed by law, as well as the main responsibility of parents as the first and main educators in the family. Through a normative juridical method with a descriptive-analytical approach, this study analyzes various relevant regulations, such as the Compilation of Islamic Law (KHI), Law Number 1 of 1974 concerning Marriage, and Law Number 35 of 2014 concerning Child Protection. The results of the study show that Islamic family law explicitly obliges parents to instill religious education to children as part of the process of shaping children's morals, morals and character from an early age. The implications of the results of this study indicate that the lack of legal awareness and weak implementation of religious education responsibilities by parents can lead to the formation of a young generation that is spiritually weak and prone to deviant behavior. Thus, strengthening the role of the family in children's religious education is an important aspect in creating a generation of faith, piety and noble character.

Abstract

Digital transformation has changed people's consumption patterns, especially in purchasing fashion products online. This study aims to explore the factors that influence the intention to buy fashion through the digital marketplace among students of the State University of Yogyakarta (UNY) using the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. This study uses a quantitative method with a survey design and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis techniques based on PLS. Data was collected through an online questionnaire of students using the marketplace. The results of the study show that perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness have a significant influence on students' attitudes and purchase intentions towards fashion products in the marketplace. In addition, external variables such as information quality and personalization have also been shown to influence the perception of convenience and usability. The developed research model successfully maps the relationships between variables significantly, which strengthens the validity of TAM in the context of digital purchases. These findings provide implications for MSME digital marketing strategies and the development of technology-based entrepreneurship curricula in higher education.

Abstract

Mathematics learning in schools is often dominated by conventional methods, resulting in passive student participation and low conceptual understanding, especially in topics such as the Pythagorean Theorem. This study aims to develop and evaluate the effectiveness of “T-SOLVE,” an interactive learning media based on Polya’s problem-solving approach, in enhancing students’ understanding of the Pythagorean Theorem. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model. The sample consisted of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Sumowono. Data were collected through expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and tests to measure learning outcomes. The results indicate that the T-SOLVE media is valid, practical, and effective in improving students’ conceptual understanding and engagement. The media’s integration of problem-solving steps supports students in learning independently and applying concepts to real-life situations. The implication of this research is that T-SOLVE can be used as an alternative learning resource that promotes interactive, student centered learning, which addresses the initial problem of passive learning and low motivation. Furthermore, it contributes to improving mathematical problem solving skills and serves as a relevant tool for 21st century learning.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Project Based Learning (PBL) integrated with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software on improving technical drawing skills among vocational high school students. The experimental design involved two groups: an experimental group that received PBL based instruction using CAD software, and a control group that followed traditional instructional methods. The results revealed a significant improvement in the technical drawing skills of the experimental group, as indicated by higher post-test scores compared to the control group. These findings suggest that PBL, when coupled with CAD tools, fosters active learning, critical thinking, and enhances students' ability to visualize and create accurate technical drawings. Additionally, the project-based approach promoted collaboration, real world problem solving, and digital literacy, key competencies in vocational education. The study also identified a substantial effect size (Cohens d=2.97), emphasizing the significant educational impact of the PBL CAD integration. Despite the promising results, the study highlights limitations in terms of generalizability due to the single school sample and suggests further exploration of affective and behavioral outcomes in future research. In conclusion, the integration of PBL and CAD software represents an effective pedagogical strategy for improving technical drawing skills and preparing students for the demands of the modern workforce.

Abstract

The fashion industry is undergoing a significant transformation with the integration of digital technology into the design process. This research aims to explore and compare perceptions of fashion designs generated through traditional manual methods and contemporary digital methods. The primary focus is to understand how audiences, both professionals and consumers, assess key aspects such as creativity, innovation, uniqueness, technical quality, and aesthetic appeal of these two design approaches. The proposed research method is a comparative study with a mixed-methods approach (quantitative and qualitative), involving surveys and in-depth interviews with designers, fashion design students, and consumers. The expected results will provide insights into the advantages and disadvantages of each design method from a perceptual perspective, as well as their implications for fashion design practice and education in the digital era. This research is expected to contribute to bridging the gap between traditional design practices and digital innovation, and to provide guidance for designers in choosing the most appropriate approach for their creative goals and target markets.

Abstract

This research aims to explore Harun Nasutions views on education and then revolutionize education that is related to current developments, especially in Indonesia. The method applied in this study is a literature review, where the author tries to find, organize, and analyze each related reference. The results of this study indicate that Harun Nasution assessed that there was a lag among Muslims in Indonesia. For a long period, Muslims in Indonesia wanted to innovate in education. There are several mistakes that occur in Indonesian Muslim society, where many still rely on traditional learning methods and tend to reject other approaches, so that Muslims in Indonesia are left behind. Many thinkers have tried to create new ideas for Islamic education reform. One of them is Harun Nasution. According to Harun Nasution, there are three approaches that are suitable for reviving Islam. First, the use of rationality in religion. Second, people who have an understanding of Jabariyah also get an understanding of Qadariyah as a comparison and transition. Third, do not reject rationality and God's revelation because both are interconnected. All of this can be applied in various aspects of life experience, especially in the field of education.

Abstract

The rapid transformation of global society in the digital age necessitates the integration of 21st century competencies in higher education, particularly in the field of sociology. This study investigates the effectiveness of integrating digital literacy, collaborative learning, and critical thinking into sociology education among undergraduate students. A descriptive quantitative method was employed, involving 35 students from the Sociology Education Study Program at a public university in Indonesia. Data were collected through a validated Likert-scale questionnaire comprising 30 items across three core constructs. Descriptive statistical analysis revealed that students perceived the integration of these competencies to be highly effective. Digital literacy scored a mean of 4.31 (SD = 0.46), collaborative learning 4.25 (SD = 0.52), and critical thinking 4.37 (SD = 0.48), all categorized as “very high.” The overall average score was 4.31, corresponding to 86.2% in percentage agreement. These findings suggest that the learning model successfully fosters essential 21st century skills, equipping students with digital fluency, social collaboration, and analytical capacity in the context of sociological inquiry. The study concludes that a purposeful pedagogical design embedding these three competencies enhances students’ academic engagement and critical sociological understanding. It also calls for broader implementation and further research to explore long-term impacts and institutional scalability of 21st century learning frameworks in higher education.
