Jurnal Teknologi dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (TEKIBA) urnal Teknologi dan Pengabdian Masyarakat (TEKIBA) adalah jurnal ilmiah multidisiplin yang diterbitkan oleh Fakultas Teknik Universitas PGRI Banyuangi dengan nomor registrasi ISSN 2776-947X. Jurnal ini berkaitan dengan informasi tentang gagasan, implementasi serta pencapaian dari kegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat. Publikasi jurnal ini bertujuan untuk menyebarluaskan pemikiran atau gagasan konseptual dan hasil penelitian yang telah dicapai di bidang pengabdian kepada masyarakat. TEKIBA memuat berbagai kegiatan tenaga pengajar di Universitas PGRI Banyuangi dalam menangani dan mengelola berbagai potensi, hambatan, tantangan, dan permasalahan yang ada di masyarakat. Abstract

The Community Service Activity aims to provide understanding to high school students in Maros District about the socialization in choosing a College to continue their studies, especially in the Department of Electrical Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Negeri Makassar, in accordance with the talents and interests of the students. The Community Service is conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Maros, SMA Negeri 1 Maros, and SMA Negeri 4 Maros, involving 100 (one hundred) students. Through the implementation of socialization, it is hoped to produce students who have a linear correlation between their interests and talents towards their chosen study programs, especially in the study programs available in the Department of Electrical Engineering Education at State Universitas Negeri Makassar, ensuring that students do not experience Drop Out (DO). Based on the results of the community service activities that have been carried out, it can be concluded that several problems are still encountered by prospective students and teachers in high schools in Maros District. Many prospective students have not yet determined their university and study program choices even though the time for new student registration is approaching. With the implementation of this community service activity, prospective new students are able to get to know the study programs better, especially those available in the Department of Electrical Engineering Education at Universitas Negeri Makassar

Abstract

During the aftermath of the Covid-19 pandemic, educational establishments encounter difficulties in providing comprehensive learning experiences due to the unpredictable circumstances caused by the pandemic. Hence, it becomes crucial for these institutions to prioritize the adoption of digitalized education that allows for accessibility at any time and from any location. However, the field of light vehicle engineering faces its own set of challenges when it comes to delivering intricate materials, primarily due to the size and intricacy of the learning resources. To tackle this issue, a novel approach has been introduced in the form of Virtual Reality (VR)-based learning methods, which prove to be invaluable tools in enhancing comprehension of the subject matter.

Abstract

Community service in villages through the Thematic Real Work Lecture (KKNT) program. Student participation in solving community problems. This research aims to find out the contribution of KCN students in educating the public about paying income tax and increasing tax awareness in the Ogan Iliri Regency Community, Pemulutan District, Simpang Pelabuhan Dalam. This research uses a method, namely direct contact with the people who live at Simpang Belabuhan Dal. Core KKN students took part in an outreach campaign to the community about the importance of tax education and paying income tax, as well as tax education and opening an account with a NPWP for village communities at Simpang Pilabhuhan Dalam. The results of this research show tax efficiency and increase tax knowledge and income tax culture. For further information, please contact the KKN manager in Simpang Pelabuhan Dalam Village. The community is starting to understand the importance of paying school fees regarding taxation, showing an increase in effectiveness and efficiency by Thematic KKN students.

Abstract

The dependence on the use of non-renewable fossil energy in society certainly causes various problems, one of which is environmental problems in the form of increased carbon emissions. Fossil energy will also be increasingly limited in the future due to increased energy use, so a transition to new renewable energy is needed. Indonesia has considerable potential in New Renewable Energy, but the utilization and understanding of New Renewable Energy among the public remain low. The renewable energy was only 13,09% in 2023. This is due to Indonesia’s continued focus on fossil energy. Through this Service Program, it aims to socialize the potential and utilization of New Renewable Energy in Indonesia, especially in the samarinda area. The stages of this program include discussion and socialization of the potential amount of New Renewable Energy in Samarinda that can be utilized for energy needs among the community. This program provides understanding and awareness to the public about the importance of transitioning to New Renewable Energy and creating a commitment between the city government and the community regarding the transition to New Renewable Energy. This activity is expected to be the beginning of a change in the use of energy sources to create more environmentally friendly environmental conditions.

Abstract

The development of renewable energy is becoming increasingly important in addressing the challenges of climate change and the growing energy demand. One promising approach is the utilization of the Internet of Things (IoT), which enables efficient and coordinated energy management. In this context, community service activities were conducted in collaboration with the TNI Kodim 0820 to socialize the use of IoT in the development of renewable energy. Through lectures, training sessions, and demonstrations of installing solar power systems (PLTS) and wind power systems (PLTB), participants were introduced to the concepts and benefits of IoT in renewable energy. The aim of these activities is to enhance the knowledge, skills, and participation of the community in managing renewable energy. The results of the activities show that the collaboration between Panca Marga University and TNI Kodim 0820 contributes positively to accelerating the transition towards cleaner, more efficient, and sustainable energy. These initiatives are expected to serve as a foundation for larger and more sustainable renewable energy development projects in the future.

Abstract

Sukoreno Village, Umbulsari District, Jember Regency, has great potential in the development of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). However, limitations in marketing and the use of digital technology are major challenges. The University of Jember's MSIB Thematic Community Service Program (KKN) seeks to address these issues through training in digital marketing and the use of e-commerce platforms. The methods used include field observation and literature analysis, followed by workshops covering marketing strategy theory, marketplace account creation, and hands-on demonstrations. Results showed an increase in MSMEs' understanding and skills in digital marketing, as well as an expansion of product marketing reach. Students also participated in local promotional activities and the creation of a village profile video, which contributed to the re-branding and positive image enhancement of Sukoreno Village. This activity succeeded in increasing the income of MSMEs, strengthening the relationship between students and the community, and promoting the potential of the village at large.

Abstract

Trading Competition yang diselenggarakan oleh PT. Victory International Futures merupakan salah satu inisiatif edukatif untuk meningkatkan literasi keuangan dan keterampilan trading di kalangan nasabah dan masyarakat umum. Kompetisi ini dirancang untuk memberikan pengalaman praktis dalam perdagangan berjangka dan komoditi, serta untuk mengajarkan manajemen risiko yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi sejauh mana Trading Competition dapat berperan sebagai sarana edukasi yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam bidang perdagangan berjangka dan komoditi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Trading Competition memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap pemahaman peserta mengenai dinamika pasar dan strategi manajemen risiko. Peserta yang mengikuti kompetisi melaporkan peningkatan pemahaman tentang teknik analisis pasar dan strategi trading yang lebih baik. Selain itu, kompetisi ini juga mendorong peserta untuk terus belajar dan mengembangkan keterampilan mereka dalam perdagangan berjangka dan komoditi. Dengan demikian, Trading Competition dapat dianggap sebagai salah satu metode edukasi yang efektif yang dapat diadopsi oleh institusi lain dalam upaya meningkatkan literasi finansial dan keterampilan trading di masyarakat..

Abstract

The community service activity at SMPN 2 Dringu in Probolinggo Regency aimed to address environmental issues within the school, specifically the frequent waterlogging in certain areas that disrupted activities and posed safety risks. As a solution, the introduction and implementation of Biopore Infiltration Holes (LRB) were carried out at the school. Biopores function to enhance water infiltration, reduce waterlogging, and improve soil quality. This community service activity involved observation, preparation, as well as conducting educational sessions and practical biopore planting by students, with the goal of raising awareness and enhancing capabilities in addressing environmental issues. The results of the activity showed a reduction in waterlogging duration by up to three hours and a decrease in organic waste volume through the use of biopores as compost. The implementation of biopores not only helped mitigate flood risks but also improved the school's environmental quality, supporting sustainability and environmental health.

Abstract

The revitalization program for traditional mackerel cracker businesses in Probolinggo City has successfully improved production capacity through the implementation of Advanced Dough Mixer technology. This technology replaced the manual mixing method, increasing production efficiency by 50% while ensuring product consistency and hygiene. Additionally, e-finance and digital marketing training was provided to the partners to enhance financial management and expand market access through e-commerce platforms. The results of this program showed a significant increase in the partner’s production capacity, from 7 kg per day to 10-12 kg per day. Digital marketing efforts also boosted sales by 50% through online stores. This program not only improved the quality of mackerel crackers but also opened broader market opportunities and directly contributed to the improvement of the local economy. The participation of students in this activity also contributed to the development of technical and entrepreneurial skills relevant to the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program framework

Abstract

The coffee industry in Banyuwangi has a rich history, dating back to Dutch colonial rule. Despite its prominence, coffee farmers, especially the Tunas Harapan farmer group in Gombengsari, face significant challenges in post-harvest coffee handling, particularly in drying methods. Traditional sun-drying methods employed by the farmers are inefficient and fail to meet market standards, leading to reduced product quality. To address this issue, this community engagement project introduced the Solar Hybrid Dryer (SHD) technology, a sustainable drying method combining solar and electric heating. The project involved designing and constructing SHD units integrated with IoT systems for real-time monitoring and control. Additionally, solar panels were installed to provide renewable energy for the system, minimizing operational costs. Training sessions were conducted for 15 members of the Tunas Harapan group, focusing on post-harvest coffee handling and the use of SHD technology. The training aimed to improve farmers' knowledge and skills, enhancing the quality of their coffee products. The SHD technology proved effective, reducing drying time from 15 days to 5 days while maintaining the optimal moisture content of 12%. Post-training surveys indicated high levels of satisfaction among participants, with improvements in product quality and increased potential for collaboration. Overall, the implementation of SHD technology and capacity building has provided sustainable solutions for improving the livelihoods of coffee farmers in Gombengsari
