Abstract

Tradisi sedekah basorakan merupakan tradisi sedekah yang dilakukan di masjid, mushala, dan surau secara turun-temurun dengan menyebutkan nama dan jumlah uang yang diberikan oleh pemberi sedekah, sehingga dianggap sebagai tindakan riya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap pelaksanaan tradisi sedekah basorakan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat setempat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan antropologi akulturasi. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa tradisi sedekah basorakan yang dilakukan oleh masyarakat Jorong Lubuk Alung didasari oleh sebuah hadis tentang perlombaan sedekah para sahabat pada saat perang Tabuk. Prosesi pelaksanaan sedekah basorakan pada hari-hari besar Islam, seperti shalat Jumat, peringatan Isra' dan Mi'raj serta Idul Fitri. Prosesi sedekah basorakan memiliki dampak yang sangat besar dan jumlah yang diperoleh sangat besar, jika dibandingkan dengan sedekah melalui kotak infak yang dipajang di masjid. Bagi masyarakat setempat, sedekah basorakan bukanlah bagian dari riya, karena bukan orang yang bersedekah yang menyebutkan hasil sedekahnya, melainkan orang lain yang telah diamanahi untuk menyampaikan jumlah sedekah dan pemberi sedekah. Tradisi sedekah basorakan merupakan bentuk akulturasi agama dan budaya yang masih dipertahankan oleh masyarakat setempat dengan menggunakan cara basorakan dalam memotivasi orang lain untuk bersedekah.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji peranan Islam dalam perkembangan pendidikan di Dunia Melayu melalui pendekatan studi literatur. Islam telah menjadi elemen fundamental dalam membentuk identitas budaya dan sosial masyarakat Melayu sejak abad ke-13. Pendidikan Islam tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai medium penyebaran ajaran agama, tetapi juga sebagai sarana pembentukan akhlak dan pengembangan intelektual umat. Kajian ini memfokuskan pada analisis historis terhadap institusi pendidikan Islam seperti pondok, madrasah, dan pesantren, serta gagasan Islamisasi ilmu yang diperkenalkan oleh Syed Muhammad Naquib al-Attas. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan Islam di Dunia Melayu telah mengintegrasikan ilmu agama dan ilmu duniawi dalam kerangka nilai-nilai Islam, membentuk tradisi keilmuan yang unik dan berakar kuat pada budaya lokal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kajian pustaka dengan mengumpulkan dan menganalisis literatur dari berbagai sumber akademik dan historis untuk menggambarkan dinamika pendidikan Islam di kawasan tersebut. Hasil kajian menegaskan bahwa pendidikan Islam memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk peradaban Melayu dan terus relevan dalam menghadapi perubahan zaman.

Abstract

The diversity of religions and beliefs in Indonesia is part of a rich culture that needs to be preserved. In Babakanmulya village, West Java, there is a unique tradition called “Babarit” that combines the celebration of the Islamic New Year with a harvest thanksgiving ceremony. This tradition involves all elements of society regardless of religious and ethnic backgrounds, functioning as a unifier and glue for social harmony. This study aims to analyze the values of religious moderation in Babarit activities in the village. Using a qualitative approach with analytical descriptive methods, this research reveals the meaning and philosophy of Babarit implementation and its role in maintaining inter-religious harmony. The results show that the Babarit tradition contains religious moderation values such as tolerance, justice, balance between tradition and religious teachings, mutual cooperation, and strengthening social harmony. This activity not only strengthens solidarity between residents, but can also be a model for the development of religious moderation values in other areas. This research suggests further study of the impact of Babarit on cultural and religious identity and its role as a model for religious moderation in other communities in Indonesia.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didasarkan pada rendahnya kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengolah informasi dalam pembelajaran Mata Kuliah Sejarah Peradaban Islam di UIN Imam Bonjol Padang. Ketika dihadapkan pada suatu permasalahan, mahasiswa masih kesulitan dalam mengolah informasi secara efektif. Penelitian ini berfokus pada kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengintegrasikan informasi dari berbagai sumber selama proses pembelajaran. Untuk mengatasi kendala tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan mahasiswa dalam mengolah informasi dengan menerapkan media film sebagai alat bantu dalam pembelajaran Sejarah Peradaban Islam, yaitu film the Physician dan film the Kingdom of Heaven. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) dengan mengacu pada desain yang dikembangkan oleh Kemmis dan McTaggart. Pendekatan ini mencakup empat tahap utama, yaitu: perencanaan (plan), pelaksanaan tindakan (act), pengamatan (observing), dan refleksi (reflecting). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan mahasiswa dalam mengolah informasi mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan setelah diterapkannya media film dalam proses pembelajaran. Melalui penggunaan media film, mahasiswa menjadi lebih terbiasa dalam mengolah informasi yang diperoleh dari tayangan yang disajikan.

Abstract

The study of Islamic history plays an important role in shaping the morals of both individuals and society. Through exemplary stories of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), his companions, and prominent figures in Islamic civilization, Islamic history serves not only as a record of past events but also as a source of moral and spiritual values that can be applied in daily life. This research uses a qualitative method through a literature study approach by analyzing various scholarly references such as journals, books, and relevant articles. The findings indicate that methods such as exemplary behavior, advice (mau’idzah), habituation, storytelling, as well as punishment and reward, are effective approaches in instilling Islamic moral values. Challenges in the era of globalization such as cultural value decline, negative influences of social media and technology, and the lack of early religious education pose serious obstacles to the implementation of moral values. Therefore, the teaching of Islamic history must be optimized not only in academic settings but also within social and family spheres. Islamic history holds great potential as a means of moral transformation, capable of shaping a generation with Islamic character, noble morals, and the ability to adapt to modern challenges without losing their religious identity.

Abstract

The rapid development of social media has introduced novel ethical challenges for Muslims interacting in digital spaces. This study aims to identify Islamic moral principles relevant to social media use, assess users’ compliance levels, and formulate a practical ethical guideline for the digital era. Employing a descriptive‑comparative literature review, the research examines the Quran (QS. Al‑Ḥujurāt [49]:6), Prophetic traditions, Indonesia’s 1945 Constitution Articles 28F & 28J(2), and prior studies. Findings reveal four core principles: information verification, ṣidq (truthfulness), ḥayā’ (modesty), and taʿāwun (mutual assistance). A three‑stage ethical model pre‑posting, during interaction, and post‑interaction is developed to curb the spread of hoaxes, slander, and hate speech. Theoretical implications enrich the Islamic digital ethics discourse by integrating maqāṣid al‑syarī‘ah with contemporary media theory, while practical implications yield an Islamic digital literacy module for educational and da‘wah institutions. Policy recommendations include crafting a collaborative “Islamic Digital Ethics Code” involving regulators, Islamic organizations, and social media platforms.

Abstract

Kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an mahasiswa sering kali tidak selaras dengan ekspektasi identitas Muslim, tercermin dari tingginya prevalensi mahasiswa yang belum memenuhi standar kelulusan tes di program Bimbingan Baca Al-Qur’an (BBQ) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis implikasi peran ibu sebagai Madrasatul ‘Ula terhadap kompetensi literasi Al-Qur’an mahasiswa. Menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara mendalam dan studi kasus, penelitian melibatkan lima mahasiswa, empat wali, dan satu pengurus BAQI. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan korelasi linear antara intensitas pendampingan ibu di masa kanak-kanak dengan retensi kemampuan membaca mahasiswa. Teridentifikasi tiga tipologi peran ibu: Pendidik Integratif, Pendelegasi Pasif, dan Fasilitator Ragu. Mahasiswa dengan kemampuan rendah mayoritas berasal dari pola asuh Pendelegasi Pasif, di mana pendidikan diserahkan total ke lembaga luar tanpa pembiasaan di rumah. Hambatan struktural meliputi kelelahan ibu bekerja, religious insecurity, dan disrupsi gawai. Kesimpulannya, intervensi kampus bersifat kuratif dan tidak dapat menggantikan fungsi fundamental keluarga. Revitalisasi peran ibu melalui keteladanan dan manajemen teknologi digital di rumah menjadi prasyarat mutlak bagi keberhasilan literasi Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

Scientific publications are not only a means of disseminating knowledge, but also an indicator to measure quality and key indicators of productivity that can affect university rankings. The method used in this study is a quantitative approach with bibliometric analysis methods. The purpose of this study is to determine the productivity of scientific publications of Library and Information Science Lecturers at Padjadjaran University over the past 10 years. The results of this study show fluctuations in scientific publication productivity with significant productivity in 2018, amounting to 54 scientific publications. The most productive author in publishing scientific publications is Nuning Kurniasih with a total of 70 documents. Meanwhile, the source that contains the most documents from lecturers of the Library and Information Science Study Program is the Journal of Physics: Conference Series (JPCS) which produces the most scientific publications of 35 articles. There are 50 authors and 11 of them are lecturers of the Library and Information Science Study Program at Padjadjaran University which are divided into 2 clusters. With the author who has the most collaborations or collaborations in a research is Nuning Kurniasih.

Abstract

This study aims to explain the implementation of Abraham Maslow's hierarchical motivation theory in order to improve lecturer performance at IAIN Bone. Every human being has their own reasons why they can be motivated to do something. And one of them is because their needs must be met. Fulfillment of human needs something important. This can affect a person's performance in carrying out the task. The theory of motivation that is very popular used is the theory of the hierarchy of needs initiated by Abraham Maslow. The hierarchy of needs in question includes five needs, namely physiological needs, safety needs, social needs, self-esteem needs, and self-actualization needs. These five needs must be met sequentially, starting from the most basic, namely physiological needs to the highest needs, namely the need for self-actualization. For the results of this study, Abraham Maslow's hierarchy of needs motivational theory has been fulfilled and has been implemented properly. This certainly has an impact on improving lecturer performance, carrying out tasks better, being more focused, more confident and more progress. This research includes qualitative research. Data obtained by interview and documentation.

Abstract

Amid the challenges of globalization and the digital age, Islamic education faces a profound crisis: how to weave classical spiritual heritage with the imperative for modern inclusivity. This context motivates an innovative exploration synthesizing Al-Ghazali's epistemology, which integrates irfani (intuitive) and rational dimensions, with Fazlur Rahman's contextual hermeneutical approach. The primary goal is to establish an inclusive epistemology as a robust foundation for a modern Islamic curriculum, achieved through a deep comparative analysis of both thinkers' ideas, aimed at developing a pedagogy that embraces diversity, critical thinking, and humanistic values within pluralistic societies like Indonesia. Employing a qualitative method based on library research and descriptive-analytic comparative analysis, this study examines primary sources, including Al-Ghazali's Ihya Ulum al-Din and Fazlur Rahman's Islam and Modernity, triangulated with secondary literature on knowledge integration. The synthesis yields an inclusive curricular framework that unites textual, rational, and intuitive dimensions. This framework is highly relevant for reforming Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through models based on Qur'anic justice, fostering a generation adaptive to contemporary issues. This research's core contribution is bridging the gap between tradition and innovation, thereby promoting a more vibrant, inclusive, and globally competitive Islamic education.
