Abstract

This research aims to improve students' critical thinking or critical thinking skills which are divided into three levels, namely students who have high level, medium level, and low-level critical thinking through the application of the Learning Cycle 5E learning model in class X. This research is quasi-experimental research namely the development of true experimental design with Nonequievalent control group design research design through Posttest-Only Control Design carried out at Sukake 1 Public High School. The sample selected used Cluster random sampling, namely class X MIA 1 which was used as the experimental class. Data collection was carried out by trial at SMA Negeri 2 Menyuke followed by research school at SMA Negeri 1 Menyuke using the Learning Cycle 5E learning model and post-test final test to determine students' mathematical critical thinking skills at high, medium, and low levels, interviews to find out student responses regarding the results of the answers. The t-test results for both normal and homogeneous distributions obtained a significance value (2-tailed) = 0.031 < 0.05 with the decision H_1 being accepted. It was proven that there was a significant difference between the learning outcomes in the control class and the learning outcomes of students in the experimental class. Descriptively, students show improvement. Students also experienced quite good improvement. So, it can be concluded that the Learning Cycle 5E learning model provides an increase in critical thinking skills

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe students' errors in solving quadratic equation problems. The subjects of the study were grade IX B students of SMP Negeri 1 Loura with a total of 13 students. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative using research instruments, test sheets and interviews. The tests used are quadratic equation material questions, while the type of interview conducted is in the form of semi-structured interviews. The results showed that reading error was 0.0%, problem misunderstanding error was 40%, problem transformation error was 60%, process skill error was 75%, final answer writing error was 20%. Student errors are caused by several things including: lack of understanding of the concept of quadratic equations, not focusing and not being careful in doing problems.

Abstract

Technological advances not only lie in the speed factor to get information but also multimedia facilities that can make learning more interesting to encourage students to learn optimally both in independent learning and in classroom learning. This study aims to determine the level of learning quality of UPN "Veteran" Jakarta 5th semester medical students on the use of the LeADS application. The type of research used is quantitative research with experimental methods. Research data were obtained using instruments (questionnaires) based on population and sample using quantitative data analysis to test hypotheses. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out by distributing questionnaires in the form of google forms containing checklists. The results of the analysis show that the use of the LeADS application to improve the quality of medical student learning is still not good when compared to the expectations of medical students in the future in improving the quality of learning. Recommendations for future research are that it is necessary to improve indicators that have not run well / effectively and find solutions to various obstacles in online learning, so that the quality of online learning increases

Abstract

The use of Smart Technology (AI) in the education sector in Indonesia, considering its opportunities and obstacles, is evaluated in this article. This study aims to discuss the potential and challenges of using AI in education in Indonesia. Literature studies are used, with various related studies having been published. AI offers great potential to support more individualized and responsive education, including automated evaluation and increased student participation. To face the risks and prospects of the digital era, Indonesian students are required to understand AI. Although the adoption of AI raises various barriers, including privacy, moral, and digital divide, this article emphasizes the need for a strong legal and ethical framework to control the use of AI in Indonesia. The training of teachers to utilize AI efficiently in their teaching practices was also highlighted. Abstract

This research aims to gain in-depth insight into students' perception on online English learning. In the face of the digital age, online learning has become a major alternative in higher education. However, the understanding of how students assess this learning experience is still evolving. The type of research method used is quantitative research with a data collection model using a questionnaire, which was distributed to students through Google Forms to all participants of this study and the data was analyzed using descriptive statistics to get the percentage of students' perspectives. The results showed that, from the perceptions of students who became participants in this study, felt that online English language learning did not fully help the learning process to be more effective and preferred English language learning conducted face-to-face

The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. In collecting data, researchers used several techniques, namely through interviews, observation and documentation studies. The data that was collected was analyzed descriptively qualitatively using the constant comparison method and the Constant Comparative Method. The research location is the Indonesian School Kuala Lumpur (SIKL) Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The research results show that: (1) The teacher's role is as a motivator and understands the steps that can be taken to achieve optimal learning conditions for students. (2) The role of teachers in teaching nationalist values in classroom learning. (3) The teacher's role is to foster students' love and enthusiasm for nationalist values. (4) The teacher facilitates students to preserve the Indonesian language. (5) The role of the teacher in developing students' nationalistic character and attitudes through the learning process in the classroom and outside the classroom is very important where a PPKN teacher will be able to carry out his obligations and responsibilities if the teacher has first mastered and is able to apply positive behavior to himself so that he can become a role model for his students

Abstract

This article finds a discussion to follow-up implementation of the merdeka belajar policy in Indonesia. Through the merdeka belajar or can be interpreted as freedom to learn is a concept that aims to create freedom of thought and innovation. Currently, 100 percent of high scholl, vocational and junior high school levels throughout East Java implement SMIs for the 2023/2024 academic year. Since its estabilishment in Pacitan Regency at the senior high school, there have only been 8 public and private high school out of a total of high schools. The method in this article is a descriptive qualitative analysis. Data collection techniques are carried out by an interview process then see the suitability and match between theory and facts in the field. The results of this article found that the first component of policy implementation from Edward III, namely communication is which occurred at SMA Negeri 1 Pacitan Regency has been going well even though there is often a different understanding of information from the center because of a person’s interpretative power. In the bureaucracy, the branch of the East Java Provincial Education Office through supervisors monitors the implementation. Regarding resources, although it seems sudden because the process of socializing this curriculum is fast, the resources at SMA Negeri 1 Pacitan Regency are fast to make adjusments. Furhermore, the disposition even though inistially ther was no funding for the merdeka belajar curriculum, the school finally decided with the committee to use the BOS fund and Committee Fun for learning purposes
