Abstract

The problem in this study is to find out how individual learning compares with group learning through the contextual learning model of economics subjects on learning outcomes at SMPN 1 Borbor on various materials of human needs and fulfillment tools with a sample of 60 students. The research method in this study is used with a quantitative method.  The students' scores in individual learning through contextual learning have an average score of 78.7586 with a standard deviation of 6.836 and group learning through the contextual learning model has an average score of 88.6667 with, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between the variables X1 (individual learning through the contextual learning model) X2 (group learning through contextual learning). As a study conducted by Suhprihtin Siti, et al, the influence of economic learning with a contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach on economic learning outcomes is reviewed from the initial ability of students

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of interactive media assisted by quizizz paper mode on student learning outcomes in Thematic Subjects in grade IV elementary school equivalent. This study uses a quantitative approach with the Quasy Experiment type of research. The design of this study uses a type of one group pretest-posttest design. The population in this study is grade IV elementary school students equivalent to sampling using the Purposive Sampling technique. At SDN 01 Koto Tangah Simalanggang with a total of 20 students. The data collection technique is carried out by, namely first conducting an initial test, providing treatment, final test and documentation. The data analysis technique was carried out by comparing pretest and posttest scores using the Wilcoxon Test. The results of the study showed an average score of 70.55 for the pretest while an average score of 83.9 for the posttest. So the data obtained will be analyzed using the Wilcoxon test with decision making if the value of Asymp.sig < 0.05, then the hypothesis is accepted, if the value of Asymp.Sig > 0.05, then the hypothesis is rejected.  Based on the output of "Test Statistics", it is known that Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) is worth 0.000. Because the value of 0.000 < 0.05 can be concluded that "Hypothesis Accepted" means that there is a difference between the learning outcomes for the pretest and posttest. So it can be concluded that the use of interactive media assisted by paper mode is effective in improving student learning outcomes

Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between self-acceptance and body dissatisfaction in female emerging adulthood Instagram users. This research was conducted with a correlational quantitative design. The study population consisted of 385 female emerging adulthood Instagram users in West Sumatra who were selected using an accidental sampling approach. The instrument used in this research was compiled by the researcher where body dissatisfaction is guided by the aspects expressed by Tariq & Ijaz (2015), then self-acceptance is guided by the aspects put forward by Powell (1989), each of which has a reliability of 0.917 and 0.859. Based on product moment analysis, it was found that the correlation value p = 0.00 (p < 0.05) and r = 0.553, which indicates that there is a significant negative relationship between variables. The result of this study is Ha accepted, which means that there is a negative relationship between self-acceptance and body dissatisfaction in female emerging adulthood Instagram users

Abstract

This research aims to analyze linguistic aspects in cooperation agreement letters, particularly the use of legal terms, sentence coherence, and emphasis through linguistic elements such as bolding and quotation marks. Data were collected from several cooperation agreements in the health sector and analyzed using a qualitative descriptive approach. The results show that legal terms such as "First Party," "Second Party," as well as Force Majeure and breach of contract clauses must be consistently structured to ensure legal certainty and prevent misinterpretation. The use of linguistic elements such as conditional sentences, bolding, and quotation marks helps clarify meaning and strengthen the message in the document. Moreover, this research affirms that linguistic aspects play a significant role in supporting the clarity and readability of legal documents, which has implications for law enforcement and reducing the risk of disputes. The recommendation from this research is the need for a balance between linguistic and legal approaches in drafting cooperation agreements to make documents more effective and legally valid

Abstract

This research aims to prove the content validity of a numeracy literacy instrument based on computational thinking skills using Aiken's method. There are five questions divided into nine parts, all of which focus on the material “Algebraic Forms”, and have been validated by five validators from two leading universities. The data analysis technique applied is the Aiken's method, which is used to assess the extent to which this instrument meets the validity criteria. The results of the analysis show that most of the questions in the instrument received good validity scores, with an average validity of 0.81. This score indicates that this instrument is relevant and effective for measuring students' abilities in numeracy literacy and computational thinking. Apart from that, input from validators regarding the use of simpler language for grade 8 students is very valuable and is expected to improve students' understanding of the questions given. It is hoped that these results can contribute to the development of higher quality educational evaluation instruments, as well as being the basis for further research involving instrument testing to prove construct validity and reliability in the context of mathematics learning

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low mathematics learning outcomes of students. This math anxiety can be an obstacle for a person to be able to understand math. This study aims to determine the influence of mathematical anxiety on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of grade VII students of SMP Negeri 4 Bukittinggi. This type of research is correlational research. The population in this study is all grade VII students totaling 304 students of SMP N 4 Bukittinggi. While the sample in this study is class VII.A. The sampling technique is carried out randomly using cluster random sampling. The instruments used in this study are mathematical anxiety questionnaires and mathematical concept comprehension ability test questions. The data analysis technique used is simple linear regression. The results of the study can be concluded that there is an influence of mathematical anxiety on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of students in grade VII of SMP N Bukittinggi. This can be seen from the linear regression equation, which is Y = 30.014 - 0.209X from the result, mathematical anxiety has a negative effect on the ability to understand mathematical concepts

Abstract

Communication is the process of conveying information between two or more parties, encompassing both verbal and non-verbal communication. In the entertainment industry, verbal communication often takes center stage; however, recently, sign language as a form of non-verbal communication has gained increasing appreciation. Sign language is not only used by the deaf community but has also become a symbol of diversity. This research aims to analyze audience perceptions of the use of sign language and verbal communication in the drama Twinkling Watermelon. This study is categorized as qualitative descriptive research. Qualitative research as a particular tradition in social sciences that fundamentally relies on observing humans in their own environment and interacting with them in their own language and terminology. The research techniques utilized include observation, analysis, and documentation in the form of images from scenes in Twinkling Watermelon. The results indicate that viewers hold a positive view of sign language, perceiving it as enhancing awareness of the importance of inclusivity. The use of sign language in this drama underscores that deafness is not a deficiency, but rather a difference that deserves respect. This drama inspires viewers to be more open-minded and interested in learning sign language

Abstract

The Teaching Assistance Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education has an important role in preparing students to become professional and competent teachers. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the program in improving student teaching readiness. The approach used is qualitative with a descriptive-analytical method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. Data analysis is carried out qualitatively with the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study show that the Teaching Assistance Program provides significant hands-on experience for students in managing classes, developing learning plans, and interacting with students. Factors supporting the success of the program include the guidance of senior teachers, the support of partner schools, student motivation, and their involvement in curriculum management. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the quality of guidance be improved, cooperation with partner schools is strengthened, and program evaluations are carried out periodically. Thus, this program can run more optimally in preparing competent teacher candidates.
