Abstract

This study aims to explain the use of YouTube videos as a learning tool to improve German listening skills (Hörverstehen) among students. The method applied in this study is qualitative with a descriptive approach to explore the experiences, views, and reactions of students and teachers regarding the use of YouTube videos in learning. The research subjects were selected purposively from students taking German lessons and experiencing difficulties in listening skills. Data collection techniques included observation of the learning process, in-depth interviews, and documentation of teaching materials and student reflections. The data analysis method used was thematic analysis, which includes the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions, to identify thematic patterns that emerged from the qualitative data. The research findings indicate that the use of YouTube videos has positive impacts, such as improving comprehension of native speaker conversations, expanding vocabulary, increasing learning motivation, and providing access to flexible, independent learning; however, there are several challenges such as variations in the quality of the materials and the need for teacher intervention to make the use of videos more effective. The conclusion of this study states that YouTube is a learning resource that has the potential to improve German listening skills if selected and implemented pedagogically

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of puzzle media on student learning outcomes in the material of adding fractions in grade 3 of elementary school. The method used is an experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design, where one group uses puzzle media in the learning process and the other group uses conventional methods. The population taken is the results of classes 3B and 3C. The sample of this study consists of two classes, namely the experimental class (using puzzle media) and the control class (not using puzzle media). The instrument used is an essay test of 5 pretest questions and 5 posttest questions. The results of the analysis using the t-test showed a significant difference between student learning outcomes in the experimental class and the control class. The use of puzzle media has been proven to improve students' understanding of the concept of fractions in a more enjoyable, active, and interactive way. Therefore, puzzle media can be used as an alternative effective learning media in improving student learning outcomes in mathematics, especially adding fractions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the collaboration between BERSINAR schools and Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers in instilling character education values to prevent drug abuse in students at SMA Negeri 14 Bone. This study used a qualitative approach with an exploratory research design. Data were obtained by interviewing PAI teachers and students at SMA Negeri 14 Bone. The results showed that the PAI teachers carried out their role in instilling character values through three main roles: as teachers by linking teaching materials to Islamic teachings and the dangers of drugs, using varied methods, and instilling religious values, discipline, and responsibility in students' learning and habits. As role models, teachers demonstrated religious attitudes, discipline, and responsibility that reflected real examples for students in staying away from drugs. As motivators, teachers provided moral and spiritual guidance to raise students' awareness in protecting themselves from drugs. The contribution of PAI teachers has been proven to be able to shape religious, disciplined, and responsible characters as a whole, which serve as a strong foundation in fortifying students from drug abuse and contributing to the creation of a healthy and drug-free school environment, in line with the predicate of SMA Negeri 14 Bone as a BERSINAR School (Drug-Free).

Abstract

This study examines the effect of agile leadership on employee performance at PT Formosa Ingredient Factory Tbk., with employee empowerment and work motivation as mediating variables. The study uses a questionnaire survey method with a population of 84 employees. Statistical analysis is conducted using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. Agile leadership is measured through the indicators of context-setting agility, stakeholder agility, creative agility, and self-leadership agility. Employee empowerment is measured through the indicators of meaning, competence, autonomous decision-making, and impact, while work motivation is measured through recognition, achievement, responsibility, and personal growth. Employee performance as the dependent variable is measured based on work quality, work quantity, timeliness, effectiveness, and commitment. Mediation testing is conducted using the bootstrapping method because PLS-SEM does not assume a normal data distribution. The research results indicate that agile leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Employee empowerment significantly mediates the influence of agile leadership on employee performance. This means that the implementation of agile leadership will be more effective in improving performance when accompanied by enhanced empowerment. However, work motivation does not significantly mediate the relationship between agile leadership and employee performance. The influence of agile leadership on motivation and empowerment is considerable, but the effect of motivation on performance is very small.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the BJBR stock fundamentally for the period 2020-2024. It uses absolute methods, namely Price To Book Value (PBV), Dividend Discount Models (DDM), and Free Cash Flow To Equity (FCFE), to determine whether the stock is undervalued, overvalued, or fairly valued, and this will also provide investment decision recommendations for investors. This type of research is qualitative with a descriptive approach. The main object of this research is PT. Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten, Tbk (BJBR Stock) for the period 2018-2022. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. This company was selected as the object of research considering that it is the largest regional development bank in Indonesia with a substantial total asset. The results of the research using the Price To Book Value (PBV) method indicate that the stock is undervalued. In using the Dividend Discount Model (DDM), the stock is in an undervalued condition. Furthermore, using the Free Cash Flow To Equity (FCFE) method shows that the stock is in an undervalued condition. Factors that also influence the market price of the stock include investors' expectations and perceptions of the bank's performance in the future, so with a perception of declining financial performance, demand decreases and stock prices also decline

Abstract

Educators have not widely recognized interactive multimedia, and students show limited interest in the interactive multimedia already provided by educators. This lack of engagement leads to boredom and a decline in students’ enthusiasm for learning biology. The problem statement of this study focuses on the validity and practicality of interactive multimedia based on Articulate storyline. The objective of this research is to determine the results of the validity and practicality of the Articulate storyline-based interactive multimedia. This study employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate), although it is limited to the Develop stage. Product validation was conducted by three validators, consisting of two lecturers and one biology teacher. The product trial was carried out by one biology teacher and 35 students. The instruments used in this study include a validity assessment sheet and a practicality assessment sheet. Data analysis was performed using descriptive quantitative methods. The findings indicate that the Articulate storyline-based interactive multimedia was categorized as highly valid, with a percentage of 83.03%. The practicality results also showed that the multimedia was highly practical, with a percentage of 87.84% based on student questionnaires and 93.83% based on educator questionnaires. Therefore, it can be concluded that the development of interactive multimedia based on Articulate storyline can enhance students’ motivation and interest in learning biology.

Abstract

This study aims to assess the mathematical communication abilities of junior high school students regarding self-esteem with the topic of two-variable linear equation systems. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The participants in this study are ninth-grade students at SMP Yakhalusti in Pontianak. This study uses measurement techniques, direct communication strategies, and indirect communication techniques for data collection. The subjects in this study are class IX A students of SMP Yakhalusti Pontianak, totaling 28 students selected using purposive sampling. Meanwhile, for data analysis subjects, 6 students were chosen based on criteria of high, medium, and low self-esteem. The research findings show that students with high self-esteem fulfill three indicators of mathematical communication skills: the capacity to translate mathematical concepts into real objects and images (drawing), the ability to articulate situations as mathematical expressions, and the proficiency to explain and convey mathematical ideas in written form using their own language. Students with moderate self-esteem met two indicators: the ability to reflect mathematical ideas into tangible objects and images (drawing) and the capacity to explain and express mathematical ideas in writing in their own language. In contrast, students with low self-esteem did not meet any of the three indicators of mathematical communication ability: drawing, mathematical expression, and written text.

Abstract

Autism is a condition that often causes parents to feel worried and need to give extra attention. Children with autism have difficulty communicating and interacting with others, as well as with their imagination. This article discusses the ways parents use to communicate with children with autism. This paper uses a literature review approach. The data sources are journals relevant to the topic, obtained through a search using the keywords “parent communication” and “autism.” The data sources were obtained from national journals with quantitative and qualitative research designs, ranging from 2011 to 2024 from the Google Scholar website, with a total of 26 articles and 14 articles meeting the criteria. The articles were analyzed through a process of identification, eligibility, and screening. The results of the analysis showed that children with autism need continuous support and intensive assistance from their families. Two-way communication patterns proved to be more effective in supporting the development of autistic children. In addition, each family member has an important role in establishing conducive communication to support the development of autistic children in the family environment.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of teachers as educational supervisors in improving school quality, with a focus on a case study at MTs Al-Mukhlasin Ambon. Teachers not only serve as instructors in the classroom but also have a strategic function in nurturing, monitoring, and evaluating the learning process. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of teachers, madrasah principals, and learning materials at the school. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research findings indicate that teachers at MTs Al-Mukhlasin are beginning to engage in informal academic supervision, such as providing feedback to each other on teaching methods, teaching materials, and the performance of their colleagues. This supervisory activity contributes to improved professional competence, the development of more innovative teaching methods, and the creation of a collaborative culture within the school environment. Despite some remaining challenges such as time constraints and the absence of a structured supervision system, teachers' active participation in supervision practices has proven capable of driving improvements in the teaching and learning process and enhancing student learning outcomes. This study recommends the need for school policies that support collaborative supervision, supervisory skills training for teachers, and technology integration to strengthen reflective practice and ongoing professional development.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the contribution of goal orientation to self-regulated learning among high school students in Bungo Regency. This study used quantitative research. The technique used was cluster sampling with a sample of 332 high school students in Bungo Regency. The data collection technique used was a questionnaire, utilizing instruments developed by the researcher based on the dimensions of goal orientation according to Ames (1992) and aspects of self-regulated learning according to Zimmerman (1990). The data analysis technique used was multiple regression analysis, which produced an R2 value of 0.267, showing that goal orientation contributed 26.7% to self-regulated learning among high school students in Bungo Regency. These findings show that goal orientation simultaneously contributes to the self-regulated learning of high school students in Bungo Regency.
