Abstract

Lubuk Banjar Village has a variety of local potentials that have not been optimally utilized as learning resources for students. This study aims to describe the implementation and impact of the Creative Handicraft Class Program as a means of developing students' skills, creativity, and character based on local potential. This program is implemented through a structured learning approach by linking handicraft practice materials with the village's local resources and culture. Data was collected through observation of activities, documentation of work results, and participant reflections during the learning process. The results of the program implementation showed an increase in learning interest, innovation skills, and the growth of students' confidence and pride in their own work and the cultural identity of Lubuk Banjar Village. These findings indicate that the utilization of local potential through creative classes can be an effective contextual learning strategy in supporting individual development and strengthening the village community.

Abstract

Students with mild intellectual disabilities experience difficulties in understanding abstract mathematical concepts, particularly basic addition skills involving numbers 1–10. A preliminary study at SLB Al-Ishlaah Padang revealed that a fifth-grade student still had difficulty performing addition despite using simple concrete media, resulting in inaccurate responses. This study aimed to improve addition skills for numbers 1–10 through the use of counting stick media. The research employed a Single Subject Research (SSR) method with an A–B design consisting of a baseline phase and an intervention phase. The research subject was a fifth-grade student with a mild intellectual disability. Data were collected through observation, addition tests, interviews, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive quantitative techniques by comparing performance before and after the intervention. The results showed that the student’s addition skills during the baseline phase were low, while a significant and consistent improvement was observed during the intervention phase. These findings indicate that counting stick media are effective in improving basic addition skills for students with mild intellectual disabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the use of keteng-keteng musical instruments as a medium for teaching mathematics on the subject of curved tube shapes in ninth grade junior high school. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with ninth grade junior high school students as the research subjects. Data collection was carried out through observation of the learning process, interviews with students and teachers, and documentation of learning activities. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing using triangulation techniques to maintain data validity. The results showed that the use of keteng-keteng musical instruments helped students understand the concept of cylinders more concretely through direct observation of the shape, elements, and characteristics of cylinders. In addition, the use of this locally-based media was able to increase student engagement, interest in learning, and activity in the mathematics learning process. Thus, the keteng-keteng musical instrument can be used as an alternative contextual and meaningful learning media for mathematics in the subject of curved tube shapes.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of virtual and real Arduino-based learning at SMP Dharma Wiweka in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed an experimental design involving two groups of Grade IX students: a virtual group using Tinkercad and a real group using physical Arduino devices. The research instruments consisted of pre-tests, post-tests, and observations of psychomotor skills. Data analysis was conducted using ANOVA, N-gain calculations, and the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach. The results indicate a significant difference between the two groups, with the real Arduino group achieving higher post-test scores and N-gain values (0.65; moderate category) compared to the virtual group (0.47; low–moderate category). The ANOVA results further support this finding, with a p-value of 0.004 < 0.05. The PLS-SEM analysis reveals that learning effectiveness does not have a significant direct effect on learning outcomes (); instead, learning outcomes are more strongly influenced by the type of learning media used. Therefore, real Arduino-based learning is more effective in improving students’ learning outcomes and skills than virtual simulation-based learning. The research outputs include an Arduino teaching module aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

The development of cloud computing-based computer network technology requires flexible, scalable, and efficient infrastructure. This challenge has an impact on computer network learning, which still relies heavily on theoretical approaches and physical laboratories with limited equipment and costs. This study aims to examine the development of an Integrated Learning Lab as a simulation-based network learning medium using Network Function Virtualization (NFV) on the OpenStack platform. The methods used are literature review and conceptual analysis of the concepts of NFV, OpenStack, and integrated learning laboratory models in the context of computer network education. The results of the study show that NFV enables network functions such as routers, firewalls, and load balancers to run virtually as Virtual Network Functions without dependence on special hardware. OpenStack acts as a Virtualized Infrastructure Manager that centrally manages computing and network resources, thereby supporting realistic NFV simulations. The discussion shows that the NFV and OpenStack-based Integrated Learning Lab has the potential to improve students' conceptual understanding and practical skills, while providing a flexible and efficient learning environment. This study concludes that the laboratory model is relevant for application in computer network learning to bridge academic needs and the demands of the modern network industry.

Abstract

The decline in global and national economic growth encourages investors to be more careful in making investment decisions, especially in the sharia capital market. This research aims to form an optimal sharia stock portfolio in the IDX Shariah Growth index using the Sharia-Compliant Capital Asset Pricing Model (SCAPM) method as a development of CAPM in accordance with sharia principles. This research is an applied research with a quantitative approach using secondary data in the form of the monthly closing price of IDX Shariah Growth shares for the period December 2022 to May 2025 as well as sukuk yield level data from the Ministry of Finance. The analysis is carried out by applying SCAPM to estimate expected returns, risks, and form an optimal portfolio, with the help of Microsoft Excel. The results of the study show that of the 30 stocks listed in the IDX Shariah Growth index, there are 10 stocks that meet the criteria as optimal stocks and can form an efficient portfolio. Among several portfolio alternatives, the portfolio with the highest number of returned stocks is chosen as the optimal portfolio because it produces the highest returns with still acceptable risk, as indicated by the highest Sharpe ratio value as well as performance above model expectations.

Abstract

Students are strategic agents of change in fostering political awareness and strengthening democratic defense systems—especially in preventing electoral violations from an early age. This study aimed to embed political insight and understanding of anti-electoral violation defense systems among twelfth-grade students at SMA Negeri 14 OKU, to enhance critical, participatory, and responsible attitudes in democratic life. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was collected through socialization activities, interactive discussions, and observation of students’ comprehension and responses. The findings revealed significant improvements in students’ knowledge of core political concepts, types of electoral violations, and their role in safeguarding electoral integrity. Additionally, students demonstrated heightened awareness of the importance of honest and ethical political participation. In conclusion, integrating political awareness and anti-electoral violation defense systems into school environments is critical for shaping a democratic-minded, integrity-driven youth generation capable of elevating the quality of future democracy.

Abstract

Technological advancements have a significant impact on life, especially in the business world. Businesses without technological support will lose out in the competition. One common business venture among today's society is the home business or home industry. Home businesses run by entrepreneurs are easier to grow because they are managed personally with minimal capital and are more in touch with the surrounding community. The Chili Oil Dumpling Product is one such home business operating in the culinary or food industry. Initially, the Chili Oil Dumpling Product home business only served small-scale orders. Eventually, the Chili Oil Dumpling Product business grew and became more well-known in the surrounding community. Until now, the Chili Oil Dumpling Product home business was only known by its owner, without a brand or business name. To gain greater recognition and establish a distinctive product, the business logo was created, namely Pangsit Chili Oil. A team of DPL lecturers for community service assisted in creating the Chili Oil Dumpling Product logo using the Canva application. By creating a logo using Canva, the Chili Oil Dumpling Product home business was able to create an attractive logo easily and simply.
