Abstract

This study aims to understand a profesional woman’s experience in facing the glass ceiling and the role of psychological capital in decision t transition into entrepreneurship. The study employed a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, using in-depth interviews for data collection and the Miles and Huberman model for analysis data (data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing). The findings are summarized into five main themes: glass ceiling, capabilities, meaning making of experience, psychological capital, and career transition. Overall, the study shows that career barriers and the way the experience is interpreted are connected to strengthened psychological capital, which supports the decision to transition into entrepreneurship as a career path perceived to be more suitable and more controllable.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant effect on students’ science learning outcomes with the make a match type of cooperative learning model. This study is a quantitative study with a Quasi Experimental Design and uses a Nonequivalent Control Group research design, which means the control sample is not selected randomly. This study used a sample of 17 students of class VI A as the experimental class and 17 students of class B as the control class. Data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, student needs questionnaires, and pre-test and post-test instruments. The test instrument trial was tested using a validity test, a reliability test, a difficulty level test, and a discriminatory power test. Pre-test and post-test data were tested using a normality test with a split half technique, Levene’s homogeneity test and an independent sample t-test hypothesis test. Based on the result of the Independent sample t-test data analysis on the post-test obtained a significant value of 0.000, according to the criteria that the 2-tailed significance value < 0.05, then Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. The results of the hypothesis test show that there is a significant difference in the effect of the application of the make a match type cooperative learning model on the science learning outcomes of class VI students of UPTD SD Negeri Kraton 1 Bangkalan.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) play an important role in supporting the rural economy. However, many MSMEs in rural areas still face the obstacle of low product sales value due to the suboptimal implementation of branding. This Community Service Learning (CSL) activity aims to develop the branding of MSME products in Batumarta 2 Village, Ogan Komering Ulu (OKU) Regency, particularly in Air Jati Hamlet, as an effort to increase the selling value of local products. The methods used in this community service programme included observation, interviews, mentoring, and direct implementation with MSME actors. The main programme involved creating brand names and product logos that were applied to packaging label designs. The results of the programme showed that the implementation of branding was able to build a clearer and more attractive product identity, increase consumer appeal, and potentially increase the selling value of local MSME products.

Abstract

Student ability is an individual's capacity to complete learning tasks that encompass cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. This study aims to analyse students' ability to solve Economics questions on the subject of needs at State Senior High School 16 Palembang. This study used a qualitative descriptive method. The research subjects consisted of 64 students in grades X.8 and X.9. Data collection techniques were carried out through written tests and documentation of student learning outcomes. The data were analysed by grouping the test results into ability categories based on the score range. The results showed that most students were able to complete the Economics questions well. A total of 22 students (34.37%) were in the excellent category with scores of 86–100, 16 students (25%) were in the good category with scores of 71–85, and 15 students (23.44%) were in the fair category with scores of 56–70. Meanwhile, 6 students (9.38%) were in the poor category and 5 students (7.81%) in the very poor category. The overall average score of the students was 78.43, which falls into the good category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that students at SMA Negeri 16 Palembang generally have good abilities in completing Economics questions on the subject matter.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of a cooperative learning model assisted by digital media on students’ ability to prepare financial statements. The background of this research is the low level of students’ understanding in preparing financial statements caused by conventional, teacher-centered learning and limited use of digital media. The objective of this study is to analyze whether cooperative learning assisted by digital media can improve students’ financial statement preparation skills. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest–posttest control group design. The research subjects were eleventh-grade accounting students at a vocational high school in Palembang. Data were collected through tests, observation, and documentation, and analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis. The results indicate that students in the experimental group showed higher improvement in mean scores and learning mastery compared to those in the control group. Although the statistical test did not show a significant difference, descriptive data and learning process observations reveal a positive practical impact of cooperative learning assisted by digital media. These findings suggest that the cooperative learning model supported by digital media is a relevant and effective approach for enhancing financial statement preparation skills in vocational accounting education.

Abstract

Public Relations (PR) is a strategic element in the management of educational institutions because it plays a role in building the image of the institution, managing public communication, and strengthening public trust and participation. However, in the digital age and the 4.0 industrial revolution, the implementation of PR functions in educational institutions faces various challenges, especially related to the use of digital media and human resource competencies. This study aims to analyse the role, functions, and challenges of public relations in educational institutions in the digital era. The method used is a literature review by examining various scientific sources, in the form of journal articles and books relevant to educational public relations management. The results of the study show that professional public relations management, supported by human resource competencies, strategic use of social media, continuous performance evaluation, and the application of good ethics and crisis management, contribute positively to improving the quality and reputation of educational institutions. The conclusion of this study emphasises that public relations has a strategic position in supporting the sustainability, competitiveness, and public trust in educational institutions amid ongoing social and technological changes.

Abstract

Inclusive education requires elementary schools to create learning environments that accommodate diverse student needs, particularly in supporting students’ self-adjustment within the school setting. Psychosocial support is a crucial factor as it contributes to students’ sense of security, social acceptance, and emotional well-being. This study aims to examine the effect of psychosocial support on students’ self-adjustment in an inclusive education context. A quantitative approach with a correlational research design was employed. The sample in this study was selected using a quota sampling technique, consisting of 45 fifth-grade students who participated in inclusive education services at SD Negeri 078524 Iraono Lase. Data were collected using psychosocial support questionnaires and student self-adjustment scales and were analyzed through simple regression analysis. The results indicate that psychosocial support has a positive and significant effect on students’ self-adjustment, reflected in improved social interaction skills, emotional regulation, and adaptation to school demands. These findings highlight the importance of strengthening psychosocial support provided by teachers, counselors, and the school environment as a key strategy for enhancing the effectiveness of inclusive education practices in elementary schools.

Abstract

Career guidance services play an important role in preparing vocational high school (SMK) students to face the demands of a dynamic and competitive world of work. However, its implementation in SMKs still faces various obstacles, including limited systematic programmes, lack of integration with the curriculum, and suboptimal collaboration with the business and industrial world (DUDI). This study aims to examine strategies for strengthening career guidance services in improving the career readiness of SMK students. The method used is a literature study by analysing various research results and scientific publications relevant to career guidance services, career readiness, and vocational education. The results of the study show that career guidance services can be strengthened through comprehensive programme planning, integration of services with the SMK curriculum, utilisation of media and technology, and strengthening collaboration with parents and DUDI. These strategies contribute positively to improving students' career readiness, both in terms of self-understanding, career planning, and readiness to enter the world of work. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for schools and guidance and counselling practitioners in developing effective and sustainable career guidance services.

Abstract

Effective information technology (IT) infrastructure governance is an important factor in supporting the quality of academic and administrative services in higher education institutions. However, the implementation of IT governance in many higher education institutions is still not optimal and is not fully aligned with institutional objectives. This study aims to analyse the level of IT infrastructure governance capabilities at Serelo Lahat University and formulate recommendations for improvement using the COBIT 5 framework. The research method used is a descriptive approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and distribution of questionnaires to relevant parties. The assessment focused on the EDM (Evaluate, Direct, and Monitor) and APO (Align, Plan, and Organise) domains. The results showed that the level of IT governance capability still needed to be improved, particularly in terms of strategic planning and IT risk management. Based on these findings, this study recommends strengthening policies, improving strategic planning, and implementing more structured risk management. These recommendations are expected to help universities optimise IT governance to support more effective academic and administrative services that are adaptive to technological developments.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of awareness among some students at Bustanul Ulum Ketanggungan Islamic Junior High School in internalising spiritual values, even though the school has implemented a Qiro'at Al-Qur'an habit formation programme. This study aims to describe the implementation of the Qiro'at Al-Qur'an programme, identify the level of students' spiritual intelligence, and analyse the effect of the programme on students' spiritual intelligence. This study used a quantitative approach with a survey method. Data were collected through a Likert scale questionnaire given to 32 seventh-grade students. Data analysis was performed using validity tests, reliability tests, and simple linear regression. The results showed that most students were in the ‘Frequent’ category with a percentage of 52.83%, indicating a good level of spiritual intelligence. The regression test results showed a constant value of 27.853 and a regression coefficient of 0.293 with a significance value of 0.037 (< 0.05), which means that the Qiro'at Al-Qur'an habit-forming programme has a positive and significant effect on students' spiritual intelligence. Thus, the Qiro'at Al-Qur'an habit-forming programme has been proven to contribute to strengthening students' spiritual intelligence and needs to be implemented consistently and integrated into learning activities.
