Abstract

Character education plays a crucial role in addressing moral and social challenges in contemporary Indonesia. The 7 Habits of Great Indonesian Children program, which includes waking up early, enjoying worship, exercising regularly, consuming healthy and nutritious food, enjoying learning, engaging in social interaction, and going to bed early, represents a practical effort to instill positive values from an early age. This study aims to examine the relevance of the program and its integration with Islamic educational values using a tarbawi interpretation approach. The research employs a qualitative literature study with content analysis of Qur’anic verses and classical and contemporary tafsir sources related to education and character formation. The findings indicate that the seven habits are consistent with the teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah, which emphasize moral integrity, discipline, balance, and social responsibility. Integrating Qur’anic values into this program can strengthen the implementation of character education in family, school, and community settings. Therefore, the program has the potential to contribute to the development of Indonesian children who are not only competent in worldly affairs but also possess character and behavior aligned with Islamic values.

Abstract

Fine motor skills play an important role in supporting the independence and learning activities of children with intellectual disabilities, but intellectual limitations and motor coordination often become obstacles in mastering these skills. This study aims to improve the fine motor skills of children with intellectual disabilities through the application of sewing skills. The study uses a classroom action research (CAR) approach with the Kemmis and McTaggart model, which is carried out in two cycles, including the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were three fifth-grade students with intellectual disabilities at SLB Negeri Weri Larantuka. Data were collected through sewing performance tests and student activity observation sheets. Data analysis was conducted descriptively and quantitatively by comparing fine motor skill scores in each cycle, as well as descriptively and qualitatively through observation results to see changes in student behavior and involvement during learning. The results showed an increase in fine motor skills in each cycle, as seen in the increased neatness of the stitching, accuracy in following patterns, and eye-hand coordination. At the end of cycle II, all research subjects achieved scores above the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM). Thus, jelujur sewing skills proved to be effective as an alternative functional learning method to improve the fine motor skills of children with intellectual disabilities

Abstract

This study aims to describe students' understanding in appreciating literary works in the form of films, particularly the film Budi Pekerti by Wregas Bhanuteja. The study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a structural approach. The research subjects are students in class VIII.1 at SMP Negeri 1 Parindu. Data collection techniques include observation, documentation study, and written tests in the form of essays. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and was supported by content analysis of the students' answers based on the intrinsic elements and moral values of the film. The results of the study show that students are generally able to understand the plot and content of the film well and identify moral values such as honesty, responsibility, empathy, and wisdom in social media. Students also demonstrated an ability to appreciate the literary elements in the film, although some were still at the descriptive stage and had not yet reached the stage of interpreting implied meanings. The obstacles encountered included technical aspects of film presentation and difficulty in understanding symbols and implicit messages. Thus, the film Budi Pekerti is considered relevant and effective for use as a medium for teaching literature and as a means of character building in Indonesian language learning at the junior high school level.

Abstract

Business Information Systems (BIS) strategy is a crucial component in supporting the digital transformation process and achieving competitive advantage for an organization. However, various studies have shown that failure in information system implementation is often caused by a mismatch between business strategy and information technology strategy. This study aims to conceptually analyze the stages in formulating an effective BIS strategy through four main dimensions: internal and external situation analysis, strategic goal setting, appropriate technology selection, and evaluation and measurement of implementation results. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method of the latest scientific sources relevant to strategic planning of information systems and digital transformation. The results of the study indicate that the success of a BIS strategy is determined not only by the level of technological sophistication, but also by strategic alignment, organizational readiness, IT governance, and ongoing evaluation mechanisms. With an integrative and business value-oriented approach, a BIS strategy can serve as a strategic tool in improving operational efficiency, decision-making quality, and organizational sustainability in the digital era.

Abstract

The legend of Alue Sungai Pinang is an oral tradition of the people of Aceh Barat Daya that represents cultural values and local wisdom. This research aims to describe and interpret the cultural values contained in the legend based on the theory of cultural value orientation of Kluckhohn and Strodtbeck. This research uses a literary approach with a descriptive-qualitative method. The research data is in the form of legend texts obtained from public speech and written documentation sources. Data collection is carried out through literature studies and documentation, while data analysis includes the process of identifying, classifying, and interpreting cultural values in texts. The results of the study show that the legend of Alue Sungai Pinang contains five cultural value orientations, namely the essence of human life, the essence of human work, the position of humans in space and time, the relationship between humans and nature, and the relationship between humans and others. This finding confirms that legends function as a medium for inheriting cultural values and strengthening the identity of the people of Aceh Barat Daya

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of e-democracy and the quality of student participation in the election of the Head of the Student Association of the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (HMPS PGSD) at Nias University. The research uses a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with the election committee, HMPS chair candidates, and student voters, limited observation of the election process, and a study of documentation of the election based on the University of Nias' Integrated Academic Information System (SIMAT). Data analysis was conducted using an interactive analysis model that included data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, and was reinforced with source and method triangulation to maintain data validity. The results showed that the implementation of e-democracy through SIMAT increased the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of student participation because voters could exercise their voting rights without being bound by space and time. However, the quality of student participation is still dominated by procedural and symbolic aspects, while deliberative involvement is relatively limited. The lack of interactive dialogue space, low digital democracy literacy, and the dominance of e-voting mechanisms mean that e-democracy is not yet optimal as a means of learning democracy.

Abstract

Utilizing household kitchen waste is one of the strategic solutions to reduce the volume of organic waste while supporting environmentally friendly agriculture. This activity aims to describe the process of converting kitchen waste from the residents of Lubuk Banjar Village into liquid organic fertilizer (LOF) through an integrated waste management system and its application to planting red shoot trees. The methods used include socialization of organic waste management, training on making LOF using kitchen waste, and applying LOF to red shoot plants as a form of direct implementation in the community. Data were obtained through observation, documentation, and evaluation of plant growth results after the application of LOF. The results of the activity indicate that the community is capable of processing kitchen waste into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) independently, and the application of POC has a positive impact on the growth of red-tip plants, such as improving soil fertility and better leaf development. This activity not only contributes to reducing environmental pollution caused by organic waste but also increases community awareness and participation in sustainable waste management. Thus, the utilization of kitchen waste into POC through an integrated waste management system can be an effective and sustainable alternative solution for the residents of Lubuk Banja Village.

Abstract

The processing of household kitchen waste into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) is a sustainable effort that has the potential to reduce environmental pollution while increasing the economic value of rural communities. However, POC products produced at the village level generally still face limitations in terms of visual branding and packaging design, making them less competitive in the market. This activity aims to describe the process of assisting the community in developing visual branding and packaging design for kitchen waste-based POC products in Lubuk Banjar Village. The method used is a participatory descriptive approach through the stages of needs analysis, brand identity planning, and visual design assistance. Data was obtained through observation, discussions with the community, and documentation during the assistance process. The results of this activity show that consistent visual identity design, including logos, packaging stickers, and product messages, can increase visual appeal and clarify product information. Design assistance also improves the community's understanding and skills in managing product appearance independently. In addition, the use of digital media as a means of promotion provides opportunities to expand the marketing reach of POC products. This activity demonstrates that strengthening visual branding through participatory assistance plays an important role in increasing the added value and competitiveness of POC products based on local potential

Abstract

The background of this research arises from the importance of transparency and accountability in regional financial management as a basis for building public legitimacy regarding government performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of the quality of financial reports on the level of public trust within the West Sumatra Provincial Government. The research method used is qualitative descriptive with a field study approach through interviews and the distribution of questionnaires to 55 respondents consisting of the general public, academics, and regional government officials. Primary data was obtained through in-depth interviews. Data analysis was carried out using an interactive model that includes three main stages: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results indicate that the quality of financial reports has a positive relationship with public trust. The aspects of openness and relevance of information are dominant factors contributing to increased public confidence, while the aspect of ease of understanding remains a major obstacle because financial reports are considered too technical and difficult for non-accounting audiences to comprehend. These findings affirm that the quality of financial reports depends not only on data accuracy but also on the government's ability to present information communicatively and transparently.
