Abstract

It is hard to argue that religion has a role in triggering the occurrence of violence that occurs between religious communities. The mistake of Muslims in understanding religion has resulted in Islam showing a radical face. The negative label probably needs to be re-aligned so that the image of Islam returns to its good nature according to its essence. In this case, students as intellectuals have a big role in straightening it out. The aim of this study analyse the students’ perceptions of islamic religious education about islam and radicalism: a study of three PTKIN central Java. This research is a field research with a descriptive analytical qualitative approach. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the current situation of Muslims has not been able to properly practice their religious teachings so that what is practiced in their daily lives does not run in harmony with what is contained in the Qur'an. This is the initial cause of the emergence of acts of violence in the name of religion. In reality, radicalism is shown in dishumanist actions that appear in several tragedies framed in the name of religion. This raises the perception that Islam is a radical religion. However, Muslims must prove that the negative label directed at Islam is a very baseless argument because Islam is not a terrorist religion and all actions that lead to acts of terror are not essentially Islamic teachings. Abstract

Learning English before and after the Covid-19 pandemic shows a very different process. Face to face on campus in Indonesia has turned into a learning process entitled Learning From Home. The study aims to describe the challenges faced by lecturers and students in implementing online learning of English. The case study was applied in the study by direct observation of online learning that took place at the State Polytechnic of Malang, documentation of learning materials, assignments, and student assessments and presentations. The results showed that the learning outcomes of the experimental group and the control group did not show a significant difference. It shows that multimedia effects are long term. So that it is faster to understand than just online. While the driving factor is the internet budget. The inhibiting factor is the internet network which is difficult to reach by students whose houses are in remote villages, not all areas are easy to reach internet signals. Another obstacle comes from the students themselves, the lack of awareness of the tasks that students have to do. While the advantages of the learning strategy are students can be monitored directly by parents so that parents can find out to what extent their children understand the subject matter and know the learning deficiencies that exist in students. Abstract

Multicultural education in Indonesia plays a strategic role in managing the nation's rich diversity of cultures, ethnicities, religions, and languages. The perspective of Islamic educational philosophy provides a normative and ethical foundation to foster harmony amid differences. This study views multicultural education as an effort to cultivate awareness and tolerance through the appreciation of pluralistic values that align with Islamic principles such as justice, equality, and respect for human rights. Islamic educational philosophy emphasizes the centrality of tauhid (the oneness of God) as the basis for shaping inclusive character that honors diversity. Through this approach, multicultural education aims not only to develop students’ intellectual competencies but also to nurture their moral and ethical sensibilities for peaceful coexistence in a plural society. This study recommends the integration of multicultural and Islamic values into the educational curriculum to produce a generation that is tolerant, socially just, and capable of preserving diversity as a national asset. Abstract

Moral and theological education plays a crucial role in shaping children's behavior. Morality, as manifested through ethical conduct, and aqidah (faith or belief) are interrelated elements that significantly influence personal development. This study aims to examine the impact of moral education and the application of aqidah on fostering positive behavior in children. Children who receive proper instruction in morality and aqidah tend to develop a positive outlook on life, form healthy social relationships, and grow into individuals who are kind, patient, and tolerant. Such education also provides a strong moral foundation that prepares them to face challenges and resist negative influences in their environment. The integration of aqidah and moral values into formal religious or character education curricula can enhance their effectiveness. Moreover, a comprehensive approach that involves families, educational institutions, and the wider community is essential in cultivating children's behavior. In conclusion, moral and theological education has a profound influence on children's development, enabling them to become ethically grounded individuals capable of contributing positively to society.
