Abstract

Introduction to mathematics in early childhood is a very important cognitive aspect to be given. One of the things that can be done is the development of innovative mathematics learning media for early childhood. This study aims to conduct a literature review related to the various uses of mathematics learning media in early childhood. Data collection was carried out by reviewing all related articles published in the 2019-2022 period. After conducting a thorough review, there were 30 reputable articles from accredited journals used in this study. The results showed that there were 27 effective learning media that could be used by teachers at the time of learning to improve early childhood math skills. The researchers found that the teachers changed the normal learning strategy to a limited face-to-face learning strategy. For example in schools, teachers as educators had their own short-time learning strategies, so the learning process can be conducted effectively. Abstract

The purpose of this research was to investigate and describe the perceptions of teenagers about using English songs in learning English vocabulary. This study used a qualitative approach as a research design. This research was conducted in Metro District, East Metro City. The participants of this study were ten teenagers aged 14 to 17 years. Furthermore, the data was collected from interviews as the main source in this study. This study used thematic analysis to analyze the data findings. The results of this study indicate that teenagers have a positive perspective regarding the advantages of using English songs in learning English vocabulary such as English songs can increase teenagers motivation in learning and increase knowledge about English vocabulary. The researcher also found several challenges faced by teenagers when learning English vocabulary using English songs such as several vocabularies that have different spelling and pronunciation. Abstract

Reading is about looking through the text for details. The context of this research is explained about the students’ difficulties on reading text in finding main idea. The objective of this research is to know the difficulties that faced by the students in reading text, the factors of the students’ difficulties in finding the main idea in text, the students overcome the difficulties in finding main idea in the text at the tenth graders of SMK Darul A’mal Metro. The research design of this research was qualitative research. The data collecting technique of this research was documentation, observation, and interview. The sample of this research was ten students of Computer and Network Engineering in e class at SMK Darul A’mal Metro. The result of this research shows that the students’ difficulties in reading text at the tenth graders of SMK Darul A’mal Metro is the students still difficult to find the main idea in English text. The factors that caused the students difficult to find the main idea in text are students need a long time in answering question of main idea question, students do not focus while answering question, and students also do not know the meaning of the sentence. Also most of students at the tenth graders of SMK Darul A’mal Metro are do not know what is main idea, and the students do not know how to find the main idea in the text. Another reason of the factor that make the students difficult to find the main idea in English text because of the long sentence, limit vocabulary of students, and the students’ lack of reading strategy. The students’ solving of the difficulties in finding main idea in the text are read again the text, ask the teacher, and ask friends for a help. Abstract

The article gave an assistance to develop Farmer Schools Karangerjo and Students English Department of Universitas Ma’arif Lampung in order to improve skills and provide an understanding of agricultural management, namely the concept of agricultural mechanization. Hence, they can get access to learning about agricultural management for free and sustainably. Improving the skills and creativity of the farming community in building a roadmap for the digital marketing media movement. it would have an impact on the ability of farmer groups to recognize and utilize online digital media. The method used Asset Based Community Development (ABCD). This assistance has a significant impact on the solidarity of the farmer group community. From the various activities that have been carried out, some farmers have been creative in utilizing the vacant land yards around their yards for vegetable farming activities, in addition to the availability of a PVC pipe irrigation system, which was one of the outcomes of the agricultural mechanization concept. They also apply the concept of organic farming by preparing superior seeds that have been sown properly, from preparing the land to planting vegetable seeds. In addition, there was online digital media, namely Instagram, to improve the skills and creativity of the farming community in building a roadmap for the digital marketing media movement. Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out an application of fair and civilized human values in the environment college. The method used case study, with the research subject of students at Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar (PGSD) Ahmad Dahlan University Yogyakarta. In collecting data, the researchers used observation, documentation, and focus group discussions (FGD). The result showed that the implementation of civilized human values in the environment illustrated in the concrete manifestation of social service that can foster a caring attitude towards others, foster high morality, forming Emotional Intelligence (EQ). The implementation of fair and civilized human values in the higher Education environment can be realized by real actions of social service carried out on people who have public problems (starvation). The student in devotion social covers grow high morality, that is feel how is at in other people's position and sensibility social, forming emotional intelligent (EQ) that is intelligence management emotional. Abstract

This research focuses on teaching public speaking using Five Main Criterions (FMC) to UBSI Students from the Faculty of Communication and Language. The subjects of this research are twenty students divided into two groups, ten boys and ten girls. Each student has to deliver public speaking in front of the class with different topics in limited time. The method used in this research is a qualitative research that pays attention to the utilization of Five Main Criterion as one of teaching techniques utilized by the researcher in teaching public speaking to UBSI students. Each criterion is interconnected to each other as unity that helps students in presenting their public speaking appropriately. The scoring was obtained according to the points from each criterion. This teaching technique was compiled by the researcher from numerous reliable resources. The researcher uses Five Main Criterions as a solution to enhance the level of confidence and also to improve the presentation skills of UBSI Students when they conduct public speaking task in class. There are a number of theories utilized by researcher in order to support this research to have solid scientific background. The theories were originated from a number of scholars who already conducted researchers in public speaking. The aim of this research is to provide a solution to fellow lecturers in providing suitable method in teaching public speaking to their students.. In addition, three previous researchers upon public speaking were added by the researcher as valuable sources to enrich the quality of this research. Abstract

This research focuses on teaching Intensive Reading (IR) using Four Reading Methods (FRM) to students of English Department. The subject of this research are twenty students divided into two groups, ten male and ten female participants. Each student had to read certain texts intensively and delivered a presentation explaining the information obtained from the text in limited time. The method used in this research is qualitative research that paid attention to the utilization of Four Reading Methods (FRM) as one of teaching techniques utilized by the researcher in teaching Intensive Reading Class (IRC) to students English Department. Each method was interconnected to each other as unity that helped students in presentingtheir learning outcomes obtained from particular reading passage they had already read intensively. The scoring was obtained according to the score from each method. This teaching technique was compiled by the researcher from a number of reliable resources. The Four Reading Methods (FRM) as a solution to enhance the reading skills of the students and to improve their presentation skills when they deliver their learning outcomes in the form of presented materials. There were numerous theories utilized by the present study in order to have solid scientific background. The theories were taken from several scholars who already conducted researchers in teaching intensive reading in class. The aim of this research is to provide a solution to fellow lecturers in providing flexible methods as an alternative in teaching Intensive Reading (IR) to their students. In addition, three previous studies in teaching reading were incorporated as significant contribution to enrich the quality of this research. Abstract

The application of punishment and the giving of reward are important parts of education. However, sometimes the implementation of punishment and the giving of reward is still not appropriate. This research is a literacy study. This study aims to provide a reference on various forms of reward and punishment used in elementary schools. The method used is collecting several references and drawing the best conclusions from the source. The stages used in this research are collecting sources, describing the content, and drawing conclusions. Various forms of punishment and rewards are used according to the level of moral development of the child. Although it is said that rewards are more effective than punishment, the use of punishment still needs to be done because rewards cannot replace the role of punishment as a means of controlling behavior. Abstract

The aim of this assistance is to provide learning of training and assistance in optimizing digital marketing media through social media, such as Instagram, websites and Facebook. The second is to provide training and assistance in utilizing inorganic waste to make chairs with local batik motifs in Indonesia, training and assistance in introducing local batik in Indonesia as a brand in promoting batik patterned chair products. The method used Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) by maximizing asset potential. The results of this mitigation have achieved the target, that refers to low and medium hanging fruit, the subject of mitigation is the Waste Bank Community and Members of Pagar Nusa Metro City, the Waste Bank Community and the surrounding community have understood the condition of Smapah in Metro City and the risks or impacts arising from the pile up. Garbage is increasingly piling up in Metro City. The second is the reducing subject to understand theoretically and practically how to use inorganic waste such as aqua bottles, cloth, plastic into sofas or chairs with batik motifs. The third target is that Instagram business account owners can optimize and utilize digital media, such as Instagram as a one of the platforms for online digital marketing. At this stage, business Instagram users or marketing subjects understand how to optimize various features on Instagram and strategies for using those features, such as optimizing business Instagram profiles, determining posting schedules, optimizing hashtags, creating interesting content, creating contact and email buttons, or website, Optimizing Insights and Instagram stories, Optimizing Ads or Advertisements on Instagram. Abstract

This study aims to identify the reasons behind creating a language environment at the Darul Huffadh Islamic Boarding School in Bone. It also describes the model for designing language environment. This research used qualitative research with data collection techniques, including observation, interview, and documentation. The results showed that the creation of language environment at the Darul Huffadh was motivated and combined two academic contents, namely tahfidzul Qur'an and Kulliyah al-Mu'allimin al-Islamiyyah (KMI). The various subjects taught in the classroom are generally Arabic and fiqh lessons using the al-Dzikro book written by the founder of the Darul Huffadh, KH. Lanre Said and English lessons. The students are motivated to know and master Arabic in addition to understanding the Qur'an and Hadith, as well as to understand various Islamic subjects and books in PPDH. The models for creating language environment at the Darul Huffadh in general are: carrying out ilqo' al-mufradat, al-muhadathah, syu'bah, holding tajassus for students who speak Indonesian and regional languages, qiraatu al-Nasyrah, install Arabic vocabulary and install asalib in every place. As for the role of language environment in Arabic learning, in general, it can be declared successful in achieving the planned goals, namely increasing the students' Arabic proficiency.
