Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of using nearpod media on numeracy abilities. This research uses a quasi-quantitative experimental method with a posttest-only control design. Subjects were taken using a purposive sampling technique with a total sample of 64. The instrument used was 5 questions which had been tested for validity and reliability and had been declared valid and reliable in the high category. Furthermore, the results of data analysis were carried out using SPSS 27. The test results using Kolmogorov Smirnov were declared normal with a value of 0.20 and the Levene statistics results were declared homogeneous with a value of 0.81. Then hypothesis testing was carried out and obtained significant results that there was an influence between the use of nearpod media and numeracy abilities. The effect size in this study was 0.57 with the criteria being moderate or quite influential. It is hoped that teachers in schools can also implement interactive learning, one of which is the use of nearpod media

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berbasis model problem-based learning terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa di SMAS Al-Wasliyah 1 Medan. Sampel penelitian siswa kelas XI IPA yang berjumlah 30 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Pre-Experimental Desain (nondesain). Analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah uji statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji homogenitas, dan uji hipotesis. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji N-Gain dan uji t untuk melihat nilai signifakansi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berbasis model problem-based learning berpengaruh positif terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa. Hasil pengujian data diperoleh hasil uji t dengan nilai Sig.(2-tailed) diperoleh nilai signifkasi 0,000 < 0,05 dan diperoleh t_hitung>t_tabel yaitu 7,554>2,048 menunjukkan berpengaruh positif terhadap penalaran matematis siswa sedangkan dilihat dari nilai rata-rata (mean) N-Gain bahwa pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berbasis model problem-based learning berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dengan perolehan nilai peningkatan 0,4575 dengan persentase 45,7501. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa besar persen yang dihasilkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi berbasis model problem-based learning terhadap kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMAS Al-Wasliyah 1 Medan sebesar 45% termasuk dalam kategori sedang.

Abstract

Keefektifan sebuah pembelajaran didukung oleh peran guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran, keterlibatan siswa, dan sumber belajar/lingkungan belajar yang memadai. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat efektivitas pembelajaran matematika kelas VIII melalui model auditory intellectually repetition (AIR) berbantuan web pada materi lingkaran. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 5 Jombang pada semester genap tahun 2022/2023 dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII H sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diterapkan model AIR berbantuan web, dan siswa kelas VIII G sebagai kelas kontrol yang diterapkan model kooperatif tipe STAD. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui lembar pengamatan aktivitas siswa, dan lembar tes hasil belajar. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan rumus persentase, sedangkan data hasil tes dianalisis menggunakan uji-t. Indikator efektivitas pembelajaran dalam penelitian ini ada 2, yaitu: (1) aktivitas belajar siswa pada setiap aspeknya minimal 75%, dan (2) hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada kelas kontrol. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hanya aktivitas siswa di kelas eksperimen yang setiap aspeknya mencapai ≥ 75%, dan hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih baik daripada hasil belajar siswa di kelas kontrol. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa model auditory intellectually repetition berbantuan web efektif diterapkan pada pembelajaran matematika khususnya materi lingkaran di SMP Negeri 5 Jombang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengatasi kendala pembelajaran matriks di SMA Negeri 1 Percut Sei Tuan melalui implementasi trayek media pembelajaran berbasis visual dan teknologi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas, dengan pendekatan deskiptif kualitatif. Trayek media pembelajaran yang dirancang melibatkan penggunaan infografis, papan matriks dan platform interaktif Educaplay untuk meningkatkan motivasi dan pemahaman siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan trayek ini mampu meningkatkan antusiasme siswa dalam pembelajaan matriks, dengan 95% siswa mencapai ketuntasan. Kesimpulannya, penggunaan trayek media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dapat menjadi solusi efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran matriks.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low creative thinking abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Amanatun Selatan. The purpose of the research was to analyze the effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on students' creative thinking skills. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Amanatun Selatan, with one class selected as the experimental group. The study employed a quasi-experimental method using a One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Data were collected through tests, and the analysis was conducted using a t-test. The findings indicated that the implementation of the problem-based learning model had a significant impact on students' creative thinking abilities. The significance value obtained was 0.001 (< 0.05), leading to the acceptance of the alternative hypothesis (H₁). Thus, it can be concluded that the problem-based learning model significantly improves the creative thinking abilities of eighth-grade students at SMP Negeri 2 Amanatun Selatan.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine that the teacher's Pedagogical Knowledge in utilizing technology by using the GeoGebra application can improve the learning outcomes of junior high school students on the material of straight line equations. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) conducted in two cycles with the success indicator of 70% classical completeness. The research instruments used include observation sheets and test question sheets, with data collection techniques in the form of written tests and observations. The subjects of this study were students of class VIII A of St. Aloysius Niki-Niki Catholic Junior High School in the academic year 2023/2024, totaling 28 students. The results showed that through Pedagogical Knowledge of teachers in the utilization of technology by using the GeoGebra application can improve the learning outcomes of junior high school students on the material of straight line equations.

Abstract

The atmosphere of mathematics learning during the day seems less enjoyable so students quickly feel bored, and sleepy, have difficulty concentrating, and students' mathematics learning outcomes are low. Apart from that, teachers rarely provide refreshments such as icebreakers during learning. Therefore, it is important to carry out this research to determine whether or not there is a positive influence of the application of ice breaking on mathematics learning outcomesin class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Samarinda. This research uses a quasi-experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The research population consisted of 339 class VIII students divided into 11 classes. The sample was taken deliberately, namely by selecting two classes that had a mathematics subject schedule from 13.00 to 15.00 WITA and the final grades for the odd semester were not significantly different. Data on mathematics learning outcomes was obtained through posttest. Then, descriptive and inferential statistics (t-test) were used to analyze the data that had been obtained. The results of the right-tailed hypothesis test show a probability value of 0.024 < 0.05 so H0 is rejected. So, there is a positive influence of the application of ice breaking on mathematics learning outcomes in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Samarinda.

Abstract

The results of the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) show that the literacy of students in Indonesia is low. This shows that Indonesia is still far behind other countries. One of the reasons Indonesian students have low grades is the ineffective learning system in Indonesia. This investigation aims to produce a numeration liaison instrument of the social and cultural context in Banten for high school students. The methods used are research and development or Research and Development. (R&D). Using the Wilson, Oriondo and Antonio models. The results obtained were: 1) a numerational literacy instrument developed that is valid and reliable, 2) has an average difficulty level for each type of question, and 3) a numerational literature instrument developed falls into the category of both in different power tests. So, the tool developed by the researchers deserves to be used as an assessment to measure numerational literacy in the Banten cultural context.

Abstract

This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach aimed at evaluating students' conceptual understanding in solving similarity and congruence problems at SMP Negeri Oelneke. The subjects of the study were ninth-grade students. The results of the conceptual understanding test show that 29.4% of the students fall into the low ability category, 41.1% into the moderate ability category, and 29.4% into the high ability category. These results indicate that the majority of students at SMP Negeri Oelneke demonstrate a moderate level of conceptual understanding. The students face difficulties in solving the problems due to a lack of understanding of the given problems, which prevents them from providing optimal responses.

Abstract

This study discusses the influence of audio-visual media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning towards the students’ mathematical reasoning at SMA Perguruan ERIA Medan. The sample technique was Purposive Sample with the type of Pre-Experimental Design (non-desaign) research. In this research design, only one class is used, namely the experimental class. In the learning process, treatment is given using audio-visual learning media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL).Data analysis used desciptive tests, normality tests, homogeneity test, and hypothesis test. Hypothesis testing used a simple linier regression test. The results of the study showed that the equation Y = 19,892 – 0,310X, with = 10.359 and significance value = 0.000 obtained the value of   which is 10.359>2,0484 with a significance level of less than ∝ = 0,05. From the calculation results obtained the value of  indicating that audio-visual media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) towards the students’ mathematical reasoning of SMA Perguruan Eria Medan has a positive effect with a percentage of 79,3% including the high category. While acquisition of the students’responses was 82,3%. So, it can be stated that learning using audio-visual media based on Project Based Learning (PjBL) gets a positive response.
