Abstract

This community service program aims to provide legal assistance in drafting anti-bullying policies at Tarbiyyah Islamiyah Islamic Boarding School in Limbang Jaya 2 Village. The program involves lecturers, students, and the Legal Aid Institute (LBH) to create a safe and bullying-free learning environment. Key activities include socialization, training, group discussions, and the drafting of anti-bullying policies based on national law and Islamic moral values. A participatory approach was employed by involving teachers, students, and parents throughout the process. The program's results indicate increased awareness and understanding of bullying, both from the perspective of positive law and moral-religious principles. The drafted policies cover bullying definitions, reporting mechanisms, sanctions, and case handling procedures. Initial implementation of the policies showed positive changes in students' attitudes and behaviors, as well as increased engagement from parents and teachers in creating a bullying-free environment. This program is expected to serve as a model adaptable for other educational institutions. Program sustainability is maintained through regular evaluations and the establishment of an anti-bullying committee at the school. This collaborative approach significantly contributes to fostering a safe, healthy, and harmonious educational environment

Abstract

Optimizing Property Tax (PBB) revenue is a primary focus in enhancing the Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in Surabaya City. This study aims to analyze the implementation of PBB tax bill delivery through a door to door approach in Dukuh Sutorejo Village, Mulyorejo District. The methods used include tax arrears data verification, field validation, and uploading collection results into the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) system. The data were analyzed to identify obstacles to PBB payments, such as discrepancies in Tax Object Numbers (NOP), taxpayers' economic constraints, and a lack of tax awareness. Its results indicate that delivering PBB tax bills directly increases tax payment realization, both through full payment and installment methods. Additionally, field validation successfully identified NOPs that require updates or deletion, thereby improving the efficiency of the tax collection process. Education provided during verification effectively raised taxpayers' awareness of the importance of tax compliance. The conclusion of this study is that the door to door approach, combined with the delivery of PBB tax bills, can be a strategic solution to optimize regional tax revenue. This method is recommended for broader implementation to support sustainable regional development through increased Regional Original Revenue (PAD).

Abstract

This article discusses a strategic approach to improving taxpayer compliance among restaurant owners in Surabaya through a method known as “shadowing.” The peddling approach involves direct supervision and education, where tax officials engage with business operators to increase their understanding of tax obligations and improve their accounting systems. The results show a significant increase in transparency and accountability in tax reporting, leading to a reduction in tax evasion. Despite the successes, challenges remain, particularly regarding resistance from some business owners and a lack of understanding of tax responsibilities. Continued efforts from the government are essential to provide better education and create an enabling environment for tax compliance. This study concludes that a collaborative ecosystem between government and businesses can foster a fair, transparent, and sustainable tax environment, ultimately contributing to regional development and community welfare.

Abstract

Persons with disabilities in Indonesia still face significant challenges in achieving independence due to discriminatory views and limited access to various services, including assistive devices. In Surabaya City, with a substantial number of persons with disabilities, the Social Services Department of Surabaya City, through its social rehabilitation program, strives to improve their quality of life by distributing assistive devices. This program involves systematic stages, starting from receiving reports, conducting field surveys, measuring assistive devices, to distributing aid to recipients in need. The program successfully distributed various assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, hearing aids, and prosthetic limbs, with a total of 254 units during the writer's internship period (September 23 - December 31, 2024). As a result, recipients demonstrated significant improvements in independence, both in carrying out daily activities and in interacting with others. Additionally, the families of the recipients also experienced benefits in the form of reduced burdens, as family members who were previously fully dependent now have greater abilities to manage their own needs. This program is expected to continue to grow and provide further solutions to help build an inclusive and empowered society for persons with disabilities in Surabaya.

Abstract

Health is an essential part of societal well-being that must be pursued in line with Indonesia's aspirations as stated in the 1945 Constitution. This effort is carried out based on the principles of non-discrimination, participation, protection, and sustainability to develop human resources, enhance national competitiveness, and support national development. Written agreements in healthcare services are crucial to ensure optimal service delivery. This requires adequate healthcare facilities as the venue for implementing health efforts. In Indonesia, the agreement system follows an open principle that allows for the formation of agreements in accordance with existing laws or practices. The purpose of such agreements is to establish balanced cooperation and serve as a basis for resolving future issues. Through agreements, the involved parties are expected to uphold their promises, create clear legal relationships, and ensure protection and fairness for all.

Abstract

In the Merdeka Curriculum, one of the stages of lesson planning is the preparation of teaching modules. Teaching modules replace the Lesson Plan (RPP) that teachers typically prepare before teaching. Results from interviews with the principal of SMP Negeri 2 Idi Timur revealed two problems: 1) many teachers still do not understand the principles and structure of preparing teaching modules for the Merdeka Curriculum due to limited intensive training they have participated in for module preparation, and 2) teachers' skills in integrating a learning model with Artificial Intelligence (AI) into the teaching module are still lacking. The urgency of this community service lies in the need to optimize teachers' professional competence by providing training on the preparation of teaching modules based on a character-integrated problem-solving model using Artificial Intelligence (AI). The results of the community service activity showed that 40% of participants were very satisfied with the quality of guidance provided in the preparation of character-integrated problem-solving teaching modules using AI, while 45% and 15% were satisfied and somewhat satisfied, respectively. In another question, 60% of participants stated that the guidance helped improve their understanding of teaching modules and the use of AI
