Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategic management of the head of Madrasah Aliyah Private Darussalam Parmeraan in improving students' academic achievement, which includes aspects of planning, implementation, and evaluation of strategies. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving madrasah heads, curriculum leaders, teachers, and students. The results of the study show that strategy planning is carried out in a visionary, collaborative, and based on mapping students' potential. The head of the madrasah prepares programs based on the interests and talents of students that are integrated in academic and religious activities. This process is in line with George R. Terry's theory of strategic planning and Bryson's model which emphasizes participation and identification of the internal and external environment. In the implementation stage, the head of the madrasah shows active leadership in organizing resources, shaping policies, and building an organizational culture that supports the implementation of strategies. Programs such as enrichment, remedial, teacher training, and Olympic coaching are carried out with strong coordination between the head of the madrasah and all educators. This reflects the principles of implementation strategy according to Fred R. David which underlines the importance of organizational structure, division of roles, and effective communication. At the evaluation stage, the head of the madrasah implements a systematic and participatory review mechanism through regular meetings, academic supervision, and study forums. The evaluation was carried out based on student and teacher performance data, with follow-up in the form of remedial programs and teacher professional development. This approach is not only a control, but also a means of organizational learning. Thus, the management strategy carried out by the head of the madrasah shows consistency and effectiveness in encouraging the continuous improvement of students' academic achievement.

Abstract

This research focuses on analyzing the legal provisions for the ownership and import of invasive fish species in Indonesia, as well as the effectiveness of their implementation in protecting aquatic ecosystems from ecological threats. This research uses a juridical-normative approach with a qualitative analysis of applicable laws and regulations, a study of court decisions, and a review of scientific literature related to cases of the spread of invasive alien species (AIS). The results show that Indonesia has a fairly strong legal framework through Law Number 21 of 2019 concerning Quarantine and Law Number 31 of 2004 concerning Fisheries (as amended by Law Number 45 of 2009). However, weaknesses in implementation aspects, such as minimal supervision at water entry points, weak public legal literacy, and suboptimal coordination between institutions, remain major obstacles. This research implies the need to strengthen the quarantine system, implement multidimensional legal accountability (criminal, civil, and administrative), and develop a National Action Plan for Invasive Species Control based on scientific data as a long-term strategic step.

Abstract

This study aims to understand students' perceptions on developing an anti-corruption in higher education (BKAK) in Indonesia. The researchers used a combined method involving surveys (quantitative) and interviews (qualitative). A total of 95 students from undergraduate (S1) and graduate (S2) programs were randomly selected through google forms to measure various aspects of their perceptions of BKAK. Survey data were processed using descriptive statistics. Qualitative interviews focused on important values in strengthening BKAK according to students' views, then analyzed using techniques from Miles, Huberman, & Saldana (2014) with the help of NVivo 14 Plus. The results of the study indicate a high awareness among students of the importance of an anti-corruption culture in higher education institutions, as well as their readiness to engage in related initiatives. Interview analysis revealed that integrity, honesty, transparency, and collective responsibility are considered key values in strengthening BKAK. Students also emphasized the importance of anti-corruption education in the curriculum and the role of role models from higher education leaders. The results of this study demonstrate the need for a holistic approach that involves integrating BKAK values into policies and curricula, as well as empowering students as agents of change. This research provides important insights for policymakers and educators in designing effective strategies to increase student participation and engagement in promoting and maintaining an anti-corruption culture in higher education.

Abstract

Students are the most important assets for every country in This study aims to describe and analyze the management of facilities and infrastructure at SMP IT Al-Ikhwan Tanjung Morawa. The focus of the study covers five main aspects, namely planning, procurement, inventory, utilization and maintenance, and disposal of educational facilities and infrastructure. This study is motivated by the importance of the availability and management of adequate facilities to support the effectiveness of the learning process. The research approach used is qualitative with a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively. The results of the study indicate that the management of facilities and infrastructure at SMP IT Al-Ikhwan Tanjung Morawa has been carried out systematically, but there are still obstacles in terms of the suitability between planning and realization, budget limitations, and suboptimal maintenance. Some educational facilities do not meet national education standards, especially in terms of information technology and comfort of learning spaces. These findings indicate the need to strengthen the management of facilities and infrastructure in a sustainable manner by involving all stakeholders, including the principal, teachers, administrative staff, and school committees. This study provides theoretical and practical contributions in the development of educational policies, especially in the aspect of effective and efficient facility management in Islamic-based private school environments.
