Abstract

Kurangnya kesadaran akan pentingnya pendidikan, tingginya kasus bullying, dan keterbatasan infrastruktur di Desa Meranti menjadi tantangan utama dalam pengembangan masyarakat. Program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran akan pendidikan, menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang aman dari bullying, dan memperkuat infrastruktur desa. Metode yang digunakan mencakup sosialisasi tentang pendidikan, kampanye anti-bullying, layanan les privat gratis, serta pembangunan patok batas dusun secara partisipatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 85% siswa memiliki pemahaman yang lebih baik tentang bullying, terdapat peningkatan skor akademik rata-rata sebesar 15–25%, serta meningkatnya partisipasi warga dalam pembangunan desa. Program ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan generasi muda yang lebih berpendidikan dan memperkuat solidaritas serta tanggung jawab sosial masyarakat desa.

Abstract

CV. Rentalindo Digital Pro is an MSME in the electronic equipment rental sector that still relies on a manual recording system, which creates issues such as data loss, administrative errors, and service delays. This study develops a web-based rental information system as an appropriate technology solution to improve operational efficiency and data accuracy while supporting MSME empowerment. The study employs the Software Development Life Cycle approach with the Waterfall model, which includes needs analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance, in developing the system. The testing results, as presented in the testing table, show that the system is capable of automating transaction recording, centrally managing customer data, providing real-time information on inventory and booking status, and streamlining operational processes through an easy-to-use interface. Significant improvements in data security, information transparency, and service efficiency demonstrate that this system not only resolves internal issues but also has the potential to empower MSMEs through the effective use of information technology.

Abstract

Entrepreneurship is a crucial factor in enhancing the economic well-being of communities, especially for young people in non-formal educational institutions like Islamic boarding schools. Entrepreneurship education in these schools not only imparts economic skills but also shapes the character of students based on Islamic values. The training at Pondok Pesantren Bukit Al-Qur'an focuses on understanding entrepreneurship concepts, mastering production skills, marketing, financial management, and business simulations. This training is conducted in four stages: enhancing entrepreneurship understanding, developing practical skills, introducing marketing and financial management, and providing business simulations and hands-on experience. The training aims to improve students' understanding of entrepreneurship, hone practical skills in production and marketing, foster an entrepreneurial mindset focused on blessings and social benefits, and contribute to character development such as increased discipline, responsibility, and honesty in business, proving that pesantren-based entrepreneurship education can create independent and competitive generations while contributing to the economic development of the surrounding community.

Abstract

Rattan crafts SMEs have the potential to support a sustainable economy (green economy). Limited access to digital technology and a lack of understanding of online marketing are the main obstacles to enhancing the competitiveness of SME products. This activity aims to provide training and digital-based marketing assistance to groups of rattan craft SMEs, in order to improve their skills in utilizing digital platforms. The training method includes delivering material on digital marketing as well as hands-on practice in creating accounts and optimizing marketing features on social media, particularly Facebook. The activity was evaluated through pretests and posttests. The training results showed that the average score of participants increased from 33.75% in the pretest to 75% in the posttest. The training also helped participants in developing a more effective product branding strategy in line with the green economy concept. With this program, it is expected that rattan craft SMEs can become more independent in marketing their products digitally, reach a wider market, and contribute to creating more environmentally friendly and sustainable businesses.

Abstract

The issue of food management for Diabetes Mellitus (DM) patients is a critical concern as it involves patient safety, therapeutic effectiveness, cost efficiency, and the quality of hospital services. The main objective of food management is to regulate the patient's blood sugar levels by providing a balanced diet, low in glycemic index, and rich in fiber, protein, and healthy fats. The research method used is qualitative with a descriptive phenomenological approach, aiming to provide a clear and in-depth description of the implementation of food management activities at the Nutrition Installation of RSUD H. Bachtiar Djafar, Medan City. Data collection was conducted using primary data through interviews with informants at the nutrition installation of RSUD H. Bachtiar Djafar, Medan City. The participants in this study were 38 DM patients at RSUD H. Bachtiar Djafar. The instrument used in this study was an observation sheet, which was carried out directly to obtain the results. The implementation of food for Diabetes Mellitus patients at RSUD H. Bachtiar Djafar has been carried out systematically, covering menu planning, procurement, processing, and serving, while paying attention to balanced nutrition, cost efficiency, variety, and cooking skills. The five-day menu cycle showed that nutritional needs were met, although improvements are needed in variety, calorie balance, and kitchen staff competency. Overall, this approach supports patient recovery and improves the quality of hospital services.

Abstract

This community service program is driven by the urgent need to improve the quality of primary education in rural areas, particularly at SDN 014686 Sidomulyo, North Sumatra, which faces significant challenges, including limited technological infrastructure, low numeracy and verbal skills among students, and a lack of innovation in teaching methods. This program aims to enhance students' cognitive and verbal abilities through the implementation of the abacus learning method combined with simple digital technology as an innovative and adaptive solution to these existing limitations. The activities were conducted using a descriptive qualitative approach, involving 60 second-grade students and two teachers. The program was carried out in five stages: socialization, training, technology implementation, mentoring, and evaluation, along with the sustainability of the program. Data were collected through observations, formative tests before and after the intervention, interviews with teachers and students, and activity documentation. Data analysis was conducted using the triangulation method to ensure the validity of findings from various sources. The results showed a significant improvement in students' numeracy skills, with an average score increase of 46.6% after three weeks of implementation. Additionally, students' verbal skills also demonstrated positive development, with average scores increasing from 2.4 to 4.0 on a five-point scale. Teachers reported improvements in pedagogical skills and began integrating digital tools into the teaching process. The use of a digital abacus application proved to enhance students' enthusiasm and active participation in mathematics learning. This program not only addresses existing academic challenges but also empowers teachers and creates an innovative learning model that can be replicated in other schools with similar conditions.

Abstract

Anemia in adolescent girls is a significant health issue in Indonesia, with high prevalence and long-term impacts on reproductive health, as well as an increased risk of stunting in their offspring. The Iron Supplementation (TTD) program has been initiated by the government as a stunting prevention effort, yet adherence to TTD consumption among adolescent girls remains low. The role of pharmacists as educators and facilitators in public health programs is crucial in improving TTD consumption adherence. This community service aims to improve adherence to TTD consumption as a stunting prevention measure among female vocational school students through the Anti-Stunting Movement Program at Pelita Cibitung Vocational School in 2024. Activities conducted include interactive education on stunting, anemia, and the importance of TTD consumption, as well as monitoring and evaluating TTD consumption adherence. Evaluation was performed using the Medication Adherence Report Scale (MARS) questionnaire. The evaluation results showed an increase in TTD consumption adherence after education and monitoring through WhatsApp Group. This demonstrates that the active involvement of pharmacists in education and monitoring can improve adherence to TTD consumption in adolescent girls.

Abstract

The bamboo weaving craft training program in Sikulan Village, Jiput, Pandeglang, Banten, aims to empower the community by enhancing technical and entrepreneurial skills based on local potential. This initiative is driven by the underutilization of bamboo as an economic commodity, despite its abundant availability in the village environment. The method used is Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), applying a participatory approach in the planning, implementation, and evaluation stages. The training was conducted in three phases: entrepreneurship socialization; technical training on bamboo weaving and digital marketing; and outcome evaluation. A total of 20 participants were actively involved and showed high enthusiasm, with an attendance rate of 95%. The training materials covered basic weaving techniques, product design, social media use for promotion, and simple business planning. Evaluation results indicated a significant improvement in pre-test and post-test scores, as well as in the quality of the craft products produced. More than 50 products were created by participants, and one new business group was formed after the training. Additionally, the Instagram account @sinar.sikulan was successfully launched as a digital showcase for the products. This training not only enhanced the community’s technical skills but also encouraged the emergence of new economic opportunities and strengthened local cultural identity through creative economy strategies. In conclusion, the training effectively increased community capacity and can be replicated as a sustainable village empowerment model.
