Abstract

This research examines past participle errors in students' writing term papers to identify their difficulties. The error analysis is part of an investigation into the English language learning process. The purpose of this research is to identify the types of error analysis and the most dominant types of error analysis in the use of past participles. The qualitative research was carried out to investigate errors in second language acquisition. The research concentrates on qualitative research, collecting empirical data from students' writing through document analysis. The method is used to collect accurate data. The research focuses on eleven undergraduates from the Arabic Department at STAI Ali bin Abi Thalib Surabaya. To obtain the results of this error analysis, the researcher investigates further using surface strategy taxonomy. It is restricted to the students' past participle error, which consists of four error types: omission, addition, misformation, and misordering. At last, after identifying all of the data and analyzing the research findings, it can be summarized that the types of past participle errors produced by the students are: (1) omission, which occurred 10 times, or 66,67% of all; (2) addition, which occurred 4 times, or 26,67% of all; (3) misformation, which occurred once, or 6,66% of all; and (4) misordering error, which did not occur. According to the research findings, the most dominant type of past participle error is omission. Error Analysis, Writing, Past Participle.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kesalahan penerapan kaidah Khaṭ Naskh yang dilakukan mahasiswa STAI Ali bin Abi Thalib Surabaya dalam tugas mata kuliah Khath, serta menganalisis faktor-faktor penyebab dari kesalahan tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan teori analisis kesalahan. Setelah melakukan pengamatan terhadap tugas-tugas yang dikerjakan oleh mahasiswa Prodi Pendidikan Bahasa Arab STAI Ali bin Abi Thalib Surabaya pada mata kuliah Khath maka peneliti menemukan berbagai kesalahan dalam kaidah Khaṭ Naskh. Kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut sering terjadi dan terus berulang dari satu generasi ke generasi. Melalui penelitian ini diharapkan dapat diketahui pola-pola kesalahan yang sama sehingga dapat menjadi poin perhatian baik bagi dosen pengampu mata kuliah Khath, maupun mahasiswa yang akan mempelajari mata kuliah tersebut. Sehingga kesalahan-kesalahan tersebut dapat diminimalisir atau bahkan tidak terulang di kemudian hari. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bentuk-bentuk kesalahan kaidah mencakup 4 hal: a) huruf-huruf yang seharusnya di atas garis namun ditulis di bawah garis, b) huruf-huruf yang seharusnya memotong garis namun ditulis di atas garis, c) kesalahan dalam membentuk huruf sesuai kaidah, dan d) kesalahan dalam penulisan harakat yang semestinya. Adapun faktor-faktor yang menyebabkan kesalahan tersebut adalah a) kurangnya praktik dan latihan, b) kesalahan dalam memegang pena, c) kurangnya perhatian mahasiswa saat pembelajaran, dan d) kurangnya perhatian mahasiswa terkait garis patokan penulisan.

Abstract

The research aims to discuss the role of parents in Arabic language education for students at the Darul Qur'an wal Hadith Islamic boarding school. The role of parents is a way for students/children to develop their potential in exploring and studying Arabic so that they can understand the Al-Qur'an and Sunnah properly and correctly. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative, carried out by observation, in-depth interviews and documentation. Data analysis techniques through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the research show that, 1) The role of attention in protecting, supervising, motivating, providing tools and facilities to improve learning in children, 2) Method of applying Arabic from parents to children at the Darul Qur'an wal Hadith Islamic Boarding School by listening, reading , writing, and also by memorizing the vocabulary around them because the desire to have children who have proficiency in Arabic and who can understand the Al-Qur'an and As-Sunnah correctly is certainly every parent's dream. Investment and the rewards they await in this world and the hereafter are the main drivers for them, 3) The Urgency of Arabic in the Islamic View, Arabic plays a very important role. Especially in deepening the knowledge of the Koran and Hadith. Because in essence parents are the first madrasah for their children and it is not enough just to learning to teach at school.

Abstract

The objective of this research is to determine the correlation The objective of this study is to establish the correlation between the use of audio media and maharah istima'. The research methodology employs a correlational approach, focusing on the population of first semester students enrolled in the Islamic Religious Education study programme at As-Sunnah Deli Serdang Islamic College. The total number of students in this population is 23. The data collection methods employed surveys for auditory usage and tests for listening skills. The data analysis approaches utilised normality, homogeneity, and product moment tests with the assistance of SPSS. The research findings indicate that the utilisation of audio media is rather common, accounting for 39% of the total, but the proficiency in listening skills, known as "maharah istima'", is relatively poor, with a score of 75%. There is no correlation between the utilisation of audio media for maharah istima' and the statistical computations' outcome of a product moment of -0.043, as indicated by the significance value in the Sig column. The two-tailed p-value of 0.844 is greater above the significance level of 0.05.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how to teach Arabic grammar to non-Arabic speakers according to the basis of presenting the material and its relationship to reading skill. The research methodology used by the researchers is the qualitative approach, and the type of research is library research. The sources of data for this research are the book Education by Mahmoud Yunus and books, articles or University journals related to research and analysis. The researchers used the method of analyzing the content of the texts, and the background that drives the researchers to complete this research is what the researchers found that the students saw Arabic grammar as one of the most difficult Arabic subjects and the fact that teachers are not good at managing education, as they do not teach Arabic grammar on the basis of recitation. Good education, and the basis for delivering the subject: 1) From the tangible to the intelligible, 2) From the known to the unknown, 3) From examples to rules or definitions, 4) From simple to complex progression. The application of this basis in teaching Arabic grammar is: 1) Defining the noun and knowledge by mentioning the sign, not defining them terminologically, using visual teaching aids when teaching the hidden pronoun, 2) Restricting the study of annulants to the nominal sentence in teaching grammar and restricting the teaching of the direct and the direct to the verbal and nominal sentences, 3) Using the inductive method and modified texts in teaching grammar, morphology, and rhetoric, 4) mentioning the singular before the compound, and using the functional theory and teaching grammar before rhetoric, that reading skill is due to recognition and understanding, which are related to the student’s proficiency in Arabic grammar.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pendidikan prenatal memiliki signifikansi yang mendalam dalam perspektif Islam maupun Barat, dengan para tokoh seperti Sa’id Bin Ali Bin Wahf Al Qahthani dan John Santrock menawarkan wawasan berharga untuk memahami pendidikan prenatal dengan menyoroti titik temu dan perbedaan antara perspektif Islam dan Barat. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelusuri konsep pendidikan prenatal dari dua sudut pandang yang berbeda: perspektif Islam menurut Sa’id Bin Ali Bin Wahf Al Qahthani dan perspektif Barat menurut John Santrock. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis konten. Rumusan pertanyaan penelitian yang digunakan dalam studi ini adalah rumusan perbandingan. Kedua perspektif menekankan pentingnya merawat janin selama kehamilan, namun berbeda dalam fokusnya. Al-Qahtani menyoroti aspek religius dan moral, sementara Santrock menekankan kesehatan mental dan fisik ibu. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa pendidik dapat mengintegrasikan ajaran agama ke dalam praktik pendidikan prenatal, dipandu oleh interpretasi dari para tokoh Islam. Penelitian ini menekankan potensi pendidik untuk mengintegrasikan ajaran agama ke dalam praktik pendidikan prenatal, sejalan dengan prinsip-prinsip Islam. Penelitian ini menekankan peran orang tua dalam memprioritaskan pendidikan prenatal dan memberikan dasar untuk penelitian lebih lanjut di bidang tersebut. Kata kunci: Prenatal, Santrock, Al-Qahtani, Pendidikan Islam.

Abstract

Early age is a golden opportunity for children; therefore, early age is called the golden age for children. At this age, the child has extraordinary abilities, so it is good to be developed optimally. It is the golden age for the child to learn and acquire the language without neglecting other aspects. This is done in Komunitas Anak Shalih Tanjung Morawa. While in the Komunitas Anak Shalih, early childhood children at the educational institution are familiarised with hearing the names of objects and conveying them using Arabic. But in the acquisition of Arabic, they do not have a framework standardisation as a reference. Let's call it one of the CEFR. This study will answer questions related to the process of acquiring Arabic for early childhood in the Komunitas Anak Shalih and their speaking skills according to CEFR levels. This study uses a qualitative naturalistic approach using an embedded case study design model or case study. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, and documentation, with data analysis to reduce data, present data, draw conclusions, and verify. The results found that early childhood language acquisition in the Komunitas Anak Shalih used behaviourism theory, and their speaking skills were at the rudimentary A1 level (PreA1) based on the CEFR.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of using Flashcards media in learning vocabulary to improve students' Arabic speaking skills of Mujahidin Elementary School students at class 5B in Surabaya, East Java, because their speaking skills are weak, so teachers need learning media that can make students more enthusiastic after that and easy to memorize vocabulary. This study is a research with experimental method in quantitative approach that aims to test a theory or hypothesis which was given two assessments before and after teaching the material with the media. The data collection methods used are observation, interview, test, and questionnaire. The data analysis technique used is paired sample T-test with null and alternative hypothesis (H0 and H1) from the results of pre-test and post-test. The results showed (1) The use of Flashcards media in learning Arabic vocabulary is effective to improve students' speaking skills; (2) Students' speaking ability can be measured from the results of pretest and posttest scores; (3) The results of data analysis showed the paired sample T-test that a value of “Tcount” is 8,74 more than “Ttable” is 2,09 at the 5% significance level and 2,87 at the 1% significance level. And then H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted, the meaning is the use of Flashcards in learning vocabulary is very influential and effective for improving Arabic speaking skills of students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze students’ Arabic language errors from Howard Douglas Brown’s perspective, identifying three errors, namely interlingual transfer, intralingual transfer, and context of learning. An interpretive paradigm and qualitative approach were used in this study using a case study method at Daarul Ukhuwwah College (PTDU), Malang. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation, then analyzed using qualitative analysis and data triangulation. The results of the study show that students often make mistakes in Arabic grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation according to Brown’s theory of interlingual transfer, intralingual transfer and context of learning. Students’ perceptions of language errors show a basic understanding of the second language learning process, where errors are considered as a step in understanding and using Arabic. The implications of this study include expanding understanding of the needs of Islamic boarding school students in learning Arabic as well as adapting the curriculum and teaching methods to increase the effectiveness of Arabic language learning in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

Lanskap Linguistik merupakan kajian tentang visualisasi bahasa dan keberadaan bahasa. Tujuan adanya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Pola-pola bahasa yang terdapat pada Lanskap Linguistik Berbahasa Arab di Pondok Pesantren Anshor Al-Sunnah Riau.kemudian mengetahui Pihak yang megelaurkan Lanskap Linguistik tersebut di Pondok Pesantren Anshor Al-Sunnah Riau, dan untuk mengetahui Fungsi -Fungsi dari Lanskap Linguistik Berbahasa Arab di Pondok Pesantren Anshor Al-Sunnah.Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Metode Deskriptif-Kualitatif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah peneliti mendapat kan data berupa 43 gambar Lanskap Linguitik Berbahasa Arab di Pondok Pesantren Anshor Al-Sunnah Riau, yang terdiri dari Pola bahasa yaitu Monolingual (Arab) sebanyak 11 Lanskap dengan persentase 26 % , kemudian Bilingual (Arab- Indonesia) sebanyak 22 Lanskap dengan persentase 51 %, dan juga (Arab-Inggris) sebanyak 10 Lanskap dengan persentse 23 %. Kemudian Pihak yang mengeluarkan Lanskap Lingusitik tersebut terdapat 33 Lanskap yang berasal dari Pihak Resmi (Pondok Pesantren),dan 10 Lanskap berasal dari Pihak Non-Resmi (individual).kemudian 41 Lanskap yang berfungsi Informasional, dan 2 Lanskap yang berfungsi Simbolik.
