Abstract

AbstractTraditional medicine "bepiarao" is a traditional treatment of the Dayak Ketungau Sesat society whose healing is carried out by Manang (Shaman). This research deals with the field of linguistics, especially regarding the semantic field which discusses the meaning of words. Writing the problem in this study was the Semantic Study of Traditional Medicine "Bepiarao" in the Ketungau Sesat Dayak Society, which is limited by sub problems regarding the form of terminology, lexical meanings, cultural meanings, and the implications for learning in school. The method used in this research was descriptive method with a qualitative research form. The data source of this research was the Ketungau Sesat Dayak language spoken by the informant. The data of this study were the terminology of "bepiarao" traditional medicine in the Ketungau Sesat Dayak society. Data collection techniques used in this study was upfront techniques, note taking techniques, and record techniques. This research data collection tool was a recording sheet in the form of question instruments and documentation tools. The results obtained 74 data that consist of 13 tools, 36 materials, 7 cultural objects, 5 diseases, 3 subject, 3 stages, 1 taboo, and 7 units in terms of verbs, nouns, prefixes, compound words and the most dominant is noun. All data have lexical meaning, and some have cultural meaning. Abstract

Abstrak : Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model kooperatif tipe bermain jawaban terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 11 Pontianak Kota. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan bentuk quasi experimen design dan rancangan penelitian nonequevalent control group design. Berdasarkan perhitungan statistik dari hasil rata-rata post-test kelas kontrol 61,2 dan rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen 79,4. Hasil uji t-test diperoleh thitung sebesar 5,53 dan ttabel (α = 5% dengan dk = 44)  sebesar 1,6762, yang berarti thitung (5,53) > ttabel (1,6762), dengan demikian maka Ha diterima. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model kooperatif tipe bermain jawaban terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial kelas V Sekolah Dasar Negeri 11 Pontianak Kota. Dari perhitungan effect size (ES), diperoleh ES sebesar 1,21 (kategori tinggi). Kata kunci : Pengaruh, Kooperatif Tipe Bermain Jawaban, Hasil Belajar, Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial.   Abstract : This research is aimed to know the influence of cooperative learning of answering play type toward students’s learning outcome in social science grade V Elementary School state of 11 Pontianak City. This research has been used experiment method with quasi experiment and design research was nonequivalent control group design. Based on statistic counting has been gotten average result of post-test control class is 61,2 and the avarege result of post-test experimental class is 79,4. Test result of t-test got thitungamounted to 5,53 and ttabel (α = 5% with dk = 44) amounted to 1,6762 that is meant thitung (5,53) > ttabel (1,6762), so Ha is received. The conclusion exists influence of cooperative learning of answering play toward students’s learning outcome in social science grade V Elementary School state of 11 Pontianak City. The counting of effect size (ES), got ES amounted ti 1,21 (high category). Key Words : Influence, Cooperative of Answering Play Type, Learning Outcome, Social Science.

Abstract

AbstractThe implementation of curriculum 2013 contains complex aspects and a high standard of national education target. Changing elements from curriculum KTSP into curriculum 2013 must be understood, adopted, adapted and manifested in the teaching and learning process by the teachers. The eight Standards of National Education as the guideline for the teachers in implementing curriculum 2013 are obligatory. These standards include (1) Standard of Content, (2) Standard of Graduation Competency, (3) Standard of Process, (4) Standard of Educator and Education Staff, (5) Standard of Facilities, (6) Standard of Management, (7) Standard of Finance, and (8) Standard of Evaluation or Assessment. However, there are constraints faced by English teachers at SMA Negeri 1 Bengkayang in implementing curriculum 2013. A case study was designed to solve this problem. There were three sources of data used in this research, namely documentation of curriculum 2013 of SMA  Negeri 1 Bengkayang, interview and direct-observation toward the implementation of curriculum 2013 in teaching learning activity. The results establish that the common constraints faced by the English teachers were the standard of graduation competency, the standard of evaluation/assessment, the standard of process and the standard of facilities. One of the efforts that can be done in solving these teachers? constraints is by discussing the problems to the principal and the school community based on the constraints that they face. Moreover, the government as the authority responsible for the implementation of the curriculum has to give more training and guidance to the teachers. Keywords: Curriculum 2013, Implementation, EFL Teachers? Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar antara siswa yang diberi explicit corrective feedback dengan siswa yang diberi implicit corrective feedback pada tugas pekerjaan rumah terhadap hasil belajar materi fluida dinamis kelas XI MIA SMA Mujadihin Pontianak. Rancangan penelitian ini berupa quasi-experimental design dengan jenis pretest-posttest control group design. Sebanyak 41 siswa berpartisipasi dalam penelitian ini yang terdiri dari 20 siswa dari kelas XI MIA1 sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 21 siswa dari kelas XI MIA2 sebagai kelompok kontrol. Data diuji secara statistik menggunakan uji-t untuk kasus dua kelompok yang saling bebas. Hasil analisis secara statistik menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kelompok yang diberi explicit corrective feedback dengan kelompok yang diberi implicit corrective feedback. Namun, hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kelompok yang explicit corrective feedback memiliki kemampuan menganalisis soal yang lebih dibandingkan kelompok yang diberi implicit corrective feedback.   Kata Kunci: Explicit Corrective Feedback, Pekerjaan Rumah   Abstract: The aim of this research was to determine the differences learning result between students who were given explicit corrective feedback with students who were given implicit corrective feedback on homework assignment against learning result in dynamic fluid grade XI SMA Mujahidin Pontianak. The form of this research was quasi-experimental design with research design was used pretest-posttest control group design. 41 students were participated in this research, 20 students of XI MIA1 class as an experiment group and 21 students of XI MIA2 class as a control group. The data was analyses statistically used to t-test independent group. Statistically, the result shown that no significantly differences between the group was given explicit corrective feedback with implicit corrective feedback. But, the result shown that an experiment group was given explicit corrective feedback have analyses skill higher than control group. Keyword:  Explicit Corrective Feedback, Homework

Abstract

 AbstractThis research aims to find out the students? ability to show figurative languages  and to mention their functions. The research was conducted to the Semester 3 students of English Education Study Program of Tanjungpura University in Academic Year 2016/2017. The research method used is descriptive study. The sample of this research consists of 70 students who are taking Poetry subject in Class A and Class B in Semester-3 of English Education Study Program. The technique of data collecting for this research is measurement test. From the calculation, the mean score of students? ability to show figurative language was 60,29. Therefore, the students? ability to show the expressions of figurative language is categorized as ?Average to Good?. From the computation, the students? mean score to mention the function of figurative language is 55,71, thus this result is categorized as ?Poor to Average?. The results of this study show that the students need more hours to learn about figurative language including the defintions, the functions, and the identification practice.Keywords: Figurative Language, Poem, Descriptive Study

Abstract

AbstractThis research focus on observations on cultural objects, namely handicrafts made of wicker in Sambas Malay society. The problem in this research is how component of meaning, kind of meaning and meaning, and semantic function. The purpose of this study is to describe the components of meaning, type of meaning and meaning, and semantic function. This research uses qualitative research method. Researchers analyzed the data collected by analyzing the components of meaning. In addition, researchers also conducted an analysis of the type of meaning and meaning based on the analysis of handicrafts woven in lexical and colocation. The study also features an analysis of semantic functions. The overall data obtained from the interview and recording process conducted by researchers during research in Sambas district. The entire data is based on the meaning component with the classification, ie the material, the usefulness of the equipment, the type of activity, the duration of use, the handle, and the frame on the equipment. Abstract:   Pronunciation is the first step in language learning,because pronunciation can not be seperated in every language. In Mandarin, consonant being one of the problem. Consonant zh, ch, sh and z, c, s are the most fault that students do. Students grade X in SMA Taruna Bumi Khatulistiwa also have the some problem, because of that the writer uses the hand movement method is good. The students being more spirit . that makes the ability in pronunce zh, ch, sh and z, c, s better .

Abstract

AbstractLearning to write paragraphs of argument in primary schools has not been entrenched because of the lack of interest and motivation of learners to learn to write. The scientific approach in Indonesian language learning especially in writing argumentation is one strategy that can be used to encourage and motivate learners to be more interested in writing an essay of argumentation based on critical and creative thinking. This study aims to describe the implementation of learning to write paragraphs of argumentation with a scientific approach in grade IV primary school. The subjects of this study were classroom teachers, and the fourth grade students at SDN 02, SDN 07 and SDN 08 Sungai Pinyuh. The results of this study indicate that (1) Learning to write paragraphs of argument has been implemented in accordance with the RPP that is designed based on scientific, (2) Learning to write paragraph argumentation has been done by teacher in accordance with scientific step, (3) the teacher has not been skilled in the use of learning resources, (4) Learning outcomes of learners in writing paragraphs argumentation approach scientifically indicate that learners can pour the contents of the idea well.  Key words : writting, paragraph argumentation, saintific approach

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi getaran dan gelombang melalui pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan animasi yang dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 14 pontianak di kelas VIII I dengan subjek penelitian 40 orang. Penelitian tindakan kelas dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dengan indikator keberhasilan untuk setiap siklusnya minimal 70% dari siswa yang mengikuti tes  mencapai nilai ≥75 yang dilaksanakan setiap akhir siklus. Berdasarkan teknik pengumpulan data dilihat dari hasil tes siswa yang berbentuk essay dan lembar observasi saat proses pembelajaran. Hasil tes yang dilaksanakan disetiap akhir siklus diperoleh persentasi indikator keberhasilan pada siklus I sebesar 72,22%, sedangkan persentasi indikator keberhasilan siklus II sebesar 77,50%, maka terjadi peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II sebesar 5,28%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa  pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan animasi dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi getaran dan gelombang. Pembelajaran kontekstual berbantuan animasi dapat menjadi alternatif untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar pada materi getaran dan gelombang. Kata Kunci : Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran Kontekstual, Animasi. Abstract: This aims research to improve student results learning outcomes in material vibration and waves through contextual learning assisted animation implemented at SMP 14 Pontianak class VIII I with  research 40 subjects students. This classroom action research conducted by two cycles whit indicator of the success of least cycles of at least 70% of students who take the test  reachad a value of  ≥75 which is held each end of the cycle. Based collection techniques seen from the test results of students in the from of essays and observation sheets during the learning process. Results of tests conducted at each end of the cycle perscentage success indicators obtained in cycle I at 72,22%, while the percentage indicator of the success of the second cycle II of 77,50%, then an increase from the cycle I  of the cycle II of 5,28%. Based on the results of the study indicate that  contextual learning asssisted animation as to improve student learning in the pressure of the vibration and waves material. Contextual learning assisted animation can be alternatif to student learning outcomes in material vibration and waves. Keywords : Learning Outcomes, Contextual Learning,  Animation.

Abstract

AbstractChinese letters have important role in teaching chinese language, and it is also difficult. In teaching and learning proses, the students face many difficulties. This is caused by the differences between Indonesian Language and Chinese language. Indonesian Language uses the alphabet as its letters while Chinese uses scratches/lines and the rule of scratch. The students of Junior High School No. 10 Pontianak (SMPN 10 Pontianak) also had many difficulties in learning Chinese Language. From that problems, the researcher chose the school as the subject to conduct the research using the method of teaching Chinese scratches and its rules.The result of the research shows that percentage of writing Chinese letter had improved. Before the treatment, the percentage of teaching was only 43%, and after the treatment the improvement increased to 63%. This result of the research proves that the method used in this research improves the students' ability in writing Chinese letters.  Keyword : Chinese letters, Scratch, The rule of scratch
