Abstract The principal is a leader in a school institution that has a very important role as managers, leaders, motivators in educational institutions, and responsible in fostering subordinates of teachers, administrative staff to achieve the goal of hope in improving the quality of school. The focus of the problem in this research is: "How is the principal's role in improving the quality of school in SD Negeri 5 Sintang. With the sub-problems: (1) how the principal's role as manager in improving the quality in SD Negeri 5 Sintang, (2) how the principal's role as the leader towards quality improvement in SD Negeri 5 Sintang, (3) the role of principal as motivator in improving quality in SD Negeri 5 sintang, (4) Any obstacles found by the principal in improving the quality in SD Negeri 5 Sintang. The method used in this study is a qualitative research method that is to describe and understand the role of the principal in improving the quality. Subjects in this study are the principal of SD Negeri 5 Sintang, Class Teacher and Head of Administration. AbstractThe research about person deixis, place, time and social in Agnes Davonar's My Idiot Brother novel focused on the description of the form and the meaning of person deixis, place, time and social and relationship between the persona deixis and social. The form of this research was qualitative with descriptive method. The data in this research was the person deixis, place, time and social contained in the novel My Idiot Brother. The sources of this research was the novel My Idiot Brother by Agnes Davonar. The data collection technique in this research was using documentary. The technique testing the validity of data in this research was diligence of observation and reference coverage. Based on data analysis on Agnes Davonar's My Idiot Brother novel found 16 forms of person deixis, 6 forms of place deixis, 5 forms of time deixis, and 9 forms of social deixis. The form of the persona deixis is found to be the first person singular, first person plural, second person singular, second person plural, third person singular and third person plural.                                    Keywords: Form, Meaning, Deixis, Novel Â

AbstractGrammar is the rules of how to use words. Grammar is also one of the three elements of language. In Chinese, you will learn parts of speech such as verb, noun, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction,etc. Each part of speech has its own usage. Many Chinese words have similar meanings, such as "manzu" and "manyi". In learning process, it often leads to language misuse if students are unable to distinguish between two similiar words. The writer conducted a research on the "manzu" and "manyi" of Chinese students of Teachers Training and Education Faculty year 2014 in Tanjungpura University to analyze and understand the situation of students using these two words. The writer only investigated two types of errors which are errors and mistakes in the wrong order. The writer concluded that the error rate of "manzu" is 38.38% and 26.67% for "manyi", and the common type of errors is the mistake in words usage. In addition, the writer also concluded that the reason of the error is because the influence in transferring language from the mother language to the target language. AbstractThis research aims to determine the feasibility of comic media as a teaching media on class X high school fungi material. This study consists of two stages, the first stage of comic media creation and second combat media validation. This research is in the form of quantitative and using descriptive method. Comic media validated by 5 validators, 2 Lecturers of Biology Education FKIP Untan and 3 High School Teachers X class, 1 Teacher SMA Negeri 1 Air Besar, 1 Teacher SMA Negeri 1 Kuala Behe and 1 Teacher SMA Negeri 1 Ngabang. The comic media validation instrument uses a validation sheet with 11 criteria. Data analysis using Content Validity Ratio (CVR) and Content Validity Index (CVI). Comic media validation results obtained CVR value of 1.00 on each criterion and overall obtained CVI value of 1.00 and considered as valid or feasible to use as a teaching media of fungi material in class X SMA. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi dalam membaca grafik pada materi gerak lurus setelah diremediasi dengan Physics Education Technology (PhET). Bentuk penelitian berupa pre-experimental design dengan rancangan One Group Pretest-Postest. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari 30 siswa kelas X yang dipilih dengan cara Sampling Purposive. Alat Pengumpul data berupa tes diagnostik berjumlah 9 soal dengan 3 alternatif pilihan ganda disertai alasan terbuka. Skor validitas dan reliabilitas yaitu 4 (= tinggi) dan 0,52 (= sedang). Berdasarkan hasil analisis data untuk seluruh konsep terjadi penurunan jumlah siswa yang mengalami miskonsepsi sebesar 52,22% dengan signifikansi penurunan berdasarkan uji McNemar yaitu (10,675) > (3,84) sehingga dapat dikatakan terjadi penurunan yang signifikan antara jumlah siswa yang miskonsepsi sebelum dan sesudah diremediasi. PhET efektif dalam meremediasi dengan nilai sebesar 0,673 (= sedang). Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat dijadikan alternatif oleh guru untuk meremediasi miskonsepsi yang dialami siswa. Kata Kunci: Remediasi, PhET, Grafik, Gerak Lurus Abstract: The aim of this research is to acquire the number of student’s misconception about reading graph on straight motion after remediation with Physics Education Technology (PhET). The design of research is pre-experimental with one group pretest-postest. The subject consists of 30 students at X grade that chosen by the sampling purposive method. The Instrument consists 9 of diagnostic test with 3 multiple choice and open reasoning. The scores of validity and reliability of the test is 4 (high) and 0.52 (medium). The result shows the number of student’s misconception is 52.22% with significance of decrease by McNemar test is (10,675) > (3,84) so that it can be conclude the decrease the number of student’s misconception before and after remediation is significant. The effectiveness of remediation using PhET is 0.673 (medium). This research is expected to be an alternative for teachers to remediate about students misconception. AbstractThis study aims to find out the facilities and infrastructure needed and what deficiencies are in the Institute's library. Pontianak State Islamic Religion and to know what will be added facilities and infrastructure in the Pontianak State Islamic Institute library. In this study the author uses the method used is descriptive method with qualitative research forms and data collection techniques conducted by researchers using observations directly to the field, interviews with the library head, management and secretaries of the Pontianak State Islamic Institute library and documentation when the research was conducted. From the results of research carried out the facilities and infrastructure of the Pontianak State Islamic Institute Library are sufficient and have used the National Standard of College Library but it still has shortcomings and there are some facilities that need to be added in the Pontianak State Islamic Institute Library. Keywords: Library Facilities and Infrastructure           Â

Abstrak: Penelitian ini betujuan untuk: 1) menentukan ada tidaknya perbedaan sikap ilmiah dan hasil belajar siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri metode praktikum dengan siswa yang menggunakan model konvensional metode praktikum, 2) mengetahui besarnya pengaruh model inkuiri metode praktikum terhadap sikap ilmiah dan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Negeri 9 Pontianak. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen semu dengan rancangan “Nonequivalen Control Groupâ€. Sampel penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI IPA 1 dan XI IPA 3. Nilai rata-rata hasil belajar siswa kelas eskperimen sebesar 88,4 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol yaitu 78,5. Persentase sikap ilmiah kelas eksperimen sebesar 90,67% dan pada kelas kontrol sebesar 62,77%. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar dan sikap ilmiah siswa kelas eksperimen dan kontrol dengan nilai p-value=0,000 < 0,05. Perhitungan effect size model inkuiri metode praktikum diperoleh nilai 1,53 untuk hasil belajar dan 1,55 untuk sikap ilmiah dengan kategori tinggi. Kata kunci : model inkuiri metode praktikum, sikap ilmiah, hasil belajar Absract: This research aims to: 1) determine whether there is difference in scientific attitudes and students achievement who were taught using inquiry learning model with a practical method and students who were taught using conventional model with practical method, 2) determine the influence of inquiry model with a practical method to the scientific attitude and student achievement in class XI IPA SMAN 9 Pontianak. The method used in this research is a quasi-experimental with "Nonequivalen Control Group†design. The research samples were student of class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 3. The average value of student achievement experimentation grade of 88.4 was higher than the control class that is 78.5. Percentage scientific attitude in the experimental class amounted to 90.67% and the control class amounted to 62.77%. The results of data analysis showed that there are differences in student achievement and scientific attitude student in experimental class and control class with a p-value = 0.000 <0.05. Effect size calculation in inquiry learning model with a practical method value earned was​​ 1.53 for the students achievement and 1.55 for the scientific attitude with high category. AbstractThis research aims to analyze the influence of the process skills approach on the writing skills of suggestive narrative essays in grade III 09 elementary schools learning Indonesian in western Pontianak. The method used to experiment with the Quasi Experimental design and non equivalent control group design. The population of all students is 147 people. The sample of this study was class IIIA students, amounting to 39 people as an experimental class and class IIIB students as a control class totaling 37 people. Data collection techniques used are measurement techniques and data collection from the essay writing test. Based on data analysis, the average post test results of the experimental class were 78.69 and post test controls at 74.79. Hypothesis test results using t-test (surveyed variance) get a count of 2.653 t = as for the level of freedom (39 + 37-2 = 74) with a significant level ? = 5% obtained t = 1.668 tables, which means t count> t table, This proves that there is an effect of applying the process skills approach to the ability to write suggestive narrative essays in Indonesian language learning. AbstractThis research aimed to determine the effect of cooperative learning type picture and picture models on student learning outcomes in the material of food digestive system in class VIII SMP Santo Fransiskus Asisi Pontianak. The study was a quasy experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used was intact group, with class VIII A as experiment class and class VIII C as control class. The instrument was in the form of a multiple choice test with 20 items. The average learning outcomes of experimental class which was 16.22 while the average in control class was 15.03. The results of U-Mann-Whitney test showed that Z count (-2,84) <-Z table (-1,96), meaning that there were significant differences between the learning outcomes of students taught using cooperative learning type Picture and Picture model and conventional model. The effect size value obtained was 0,73 with a category of moderate and gave the effect of 26,73%. Keywords : Food Digestive System, Learning outcomes, Picture And Picture Cooperative

AbstractThis research uses quantitative research methods and is carried out at Silat Hilir State 3 Middle School in Kapuas Hulu Regency, with a sample of 119 students. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and documentary and analyzed using the SPSS program version 22.1.(1) Intrinsic motivation possessed by students on social studies subjects in relation to their learning outcomes is quite good; (2) Extrinsic motivation possessed by students in social studies subjects in improving their learning outcomes is quite good; (3) The learning outcomes achieved by students in social studies include good enough categories; (4) There is a partially positive effect on intrinsic motivation on learning outcomes achieved by students in social studies subjects; (5) There is a partially positive effect on extrinsic motivation on student learning outcomes in social studies subjects; (6) There is a simultaneous positive effect on intrinsic motivation and extrinsic motivation on student learning outcomes in social studies subjects.From the results of this study it is suggested: (1) In an effort to increase students' intrinsic motivation in participating in social studies lessons, it is necessary to assign tasks that are factual; (2) In an effort to increase the intrinsic motivation possessed by students in attending social studies lessons, it is necessary to be given more encouragement by teachers by giving gifts and penalties.
