Abstract

 AbstractThe aims of this study were to determine the level of feasibility of chemistry student worksheet based comic graphic media was developed based on expert judgement and the level of readability based on field trial. The form of this study was research and development that adopted Borg and Gall?s development model. The subject of this study was chemistry student worksheet based comic graphic media which was tried on 9 students of SMAN 10 Pontianak in preliminary trial and 36 students of SMAN 4, 8, and 10 Pontianak in field trial. Data collection instruments which is used are questionnaire of feasibility and questionnaire of students response. The result of processing data shows that chemistry student worksheet was developed feasible to be used in learning, it was reviewed from percentage of content feasibility was of 90,55%, presentation feasibility was of 91,84%, language feasibility was of 76,67%, and graphic feasibility was of 81,54%. Based on calculation of the percentage of student questionnaire response, the level of readability in preliminary trial was of 80,17% and field trial was of 75,96%. It showed that the level of chemistry student worksheet based comic graphic media belongs to high criteria.    Keywords: student worksheet, graphic media, feasibility, readability, buffer solution

Abstract

Abstract: This research entitled Teaching Reading Comprehension of Descriptive text by Using Semantic Mapping. The purposes of this research are to find out the teaching learning process by using semantic mapping technique and how the technique improves students’ ability on descriptive text. This research conducted by using Classroom Action Research (CAR). The researcher used observation table, field note and measurement test as tools of data collecting. This research conducted to 32 students of SMP Walisongo Pontianak. The result showed that the learning process of reading comprehension of descriptive text by using semantic mapping has run as the procedures. The students and teacher played their roles pretty well in first cycle and better in the second cycle.  This technique has improved students’ ability in comprehending descriptive text. The improvements are comprehension of details information, words reference and vocabulary on the text. Kata Kunci:  Descriptive Text, Semantic Mapping   Abstrak: Penelitian ini berjudul Pengajaran Pemahaman Membaca Teks Deskriptif dengan Menggunakan Pemetaan Semantik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pembelajaran pemahaman teks deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik pemetaan semantik dan bagaimana pemetaan semantik meningkatkan kemampuan  membaca siswa dalam teks deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Peneliti menggunakan tabel observasi, catatan lapangan dan Tes sebagai alat pengumpul data. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan terhadap 32 siswa kelas VII SMP Walisongo Pontianak. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses pembelajaran pemahaman membaca teks deskriptif menggunakan teknik pemetaan semantik telah berjalan sesuai prosedur. Murid murid dan guru menjalankan perannya dengan baik pada siklus pertama dan lebih baik pada siklus kedua. Penggunaan teknik ini telah meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memahani teks deskriptif. Peningkatan tersebut meliputi pemahaman  terhadap informasi detail, referensi kata dan kosakata dalam bacaan teks deskriptif. Kata Kunci: Teks Deskriptif, Pemetaan Semantik

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan bagaimana rencana pembelajaran yang mengimplementasikan strategi pendekatan pembelajaran tematik, kesulitan peserta didik dan factor pendukung dan penghambat. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kondisi proses belajar mengajar di Sekolah Dasar Negeri 21 Sungai Kakap Kubu Raya yang masih menerapkan model pembelajaran yang berpusat pada guru pada pelaksanaan pembelajaran tematik di kelas. Metode penelitian adalah kualititatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Prosedur pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui  wawancara mendalam, observasi, bahan dokumenter, dan bahan visual. Adapun sumber data yang digunakan adalah teman sejawat serta peserta didik yang duduk di kelas III Sekolah Dasar Negeri 21 Sungai Kakap Kubu Raya yang berjumlah sebanyak 30 orang anak. Untuk mengecek keabsahan temuan, maka penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru menyusun Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dengan terperinci, yaitu dengan mendeskripsikan langkah-langkah kegiatan. Dari hasil penelitian, maka direkomendasikan agar guru menjadikan pendekatan saintifik sebagai salah satu alternatif pendekatan yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran. Kata Kunci: Model Pembelajaran Tematik, Pendekatan Saintifik   Abstract: The purpose of this research is describe how the lesson plan that implement the strategy of scientific approach thematic learning, the step of implementation, the difficulties of students in implementation the strategy of scientific approach thematic learning. The positive and negative support from the learning. The research background is the condition of teaching learning process at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 21 Sungai Kakap Kubu Raya in which the integrated model still implement the teacher oriented model of teaching. The research method is case study, a form of qualitative method. The data collecting procedures are deep interview, observation, documents, and visuals. The data source are teachers and 30 third grade students of Sekolah Dasar Negeri 21 Sungai Kakap Kubu Raya. To check the validity, this research is using source and technique triangulation. The result shows that in making the lesson plan, the teacher has described the steps. From the result, it is recommended that teachers use scientific approach as one of the alternative approach in teaching learning process. Keywords: Integrated Model, Scientific Approach

Abstract

Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini untuk peningkatkan kemampuan kerjasama melalui metode proyek pada anak usia 5 - 6 tahun di TK Negeri Pembina Kecamatan Sekadau Hilir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriftif sedangkan bentuk penelitiannya adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Hasil analisis data pada siklus ke-1 pertemuan 1 dan 2 menunjukkan bahwa anak sudah mulai meningkatkan kerjasamanya dalam memasukan tanah kedalam botol bekas dengan nilai rata-rata (BB) Belum Berkembang 20% dan (BSB) Berkembang Sangat Baik 50%, menanam tanaman rata-rata (BB) Belum Berkembang 20% dan (BSB) Berkembang Sangat Baik 50%, dan menyusun tanaman rata-rata (BB) Belum Berkembang 30% dan (BSB) Berkembang Sangat Baik 50%. Pada siklus ke-2 pertemuan ke 1 dan 2 menunjukkan bahwa anak sudah meningkatkan kerjasamanya dalam memasukan tanah kedalam pot dengan nilai rata-rata (BSB) Berkembang Sangat Baik 70%, menanam tanaman rata-rata (BSB) Berkembang Sangat Baik 70%, dan menyusun tanaman rata-rata (BSB) Berkembang Sangat Baik 70%. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa tindakan yang telah dilakukan oleh guru untuk peningkatan kemampuan kerjasama anak melalui metode proyek sudah dikategorikan sangat baik. Kata Kunci : Kerjasama, Metode Proyek Abstract : The purpose of this study to improve cooperation through the project method in children aged 5-6 years in TK. Negeri Pembina Kecamatan Sekadau Hilir. The method used is descriptive method while research is a form of class action. The results of the analysis of the data in cycle-1 meetings 1 and 2 indicate that the child had begun to increase their cooperation in entering the soil into the bottles with the average value (BB) There Developing 20% and (BSB) Developing Very Good 50%, planting Average -rata (BB) There Developing 20% and (BSB) Developing Very Good 50%, and set the average plant (BB) There Developing 30% and (BSB) Developing Very Good 50%. In the cycle-2 meeting of 1 and 2 indicate that the child has been increasing its cooperation in entering the soil into the pot with the average value (BSB) Developing Very Good 70%, growing crops on average (BSB) Developing Very Good 70%, and compile the average plant (BSB) Developing Very Good 70%. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  melihat  efektivitas  penggunaan  media  permainan  ular  tangga  pada  materi  operasi  bilangan  bulat. Metode  yang  digunakan  adalah  Quasy  Experiment dengan  rancangan  penelitiannya  time  series  design, dan sampel  penelitiannya  adalah  siswa  kelas  VII C  SMPN 5 Pontianak.  Instrumen  penelitian  ini  berupa  test  hasil  belajar,  lembar  observasi  dan angket  respon.  Hasil  analisis  data  menunjukkan  bahwa  ketuntasan  hasil  belajar  siswa  yang  diajar  menggunakan  media  permainan  ular  tangga  tidak  berpengaruh  secara  signifikan  karena  rata-rata  hasil  belajar  siswa  hanya  mengalami  peningkatan  sebesar  1,02.  Aktivitas  siswa  dikategorikan  aktif  dengan  presentase  rata-rata  sebesar  73,49%.  Respon  siswa  sangat  baik  dengan  presentase  sebesar  87,96%.  Kemudian,  kemampuan  guru  dalam  mengelola  pembelajaran  sangat  baik  dengan  skor  rata-rata  3,625  dalam  rentang  1-4. Kata Kunci: Permainan ular tangga, operasi bilangan bulat, hasil belajar, aktivitas belajar, respon siswa. Abstract: The study aims to know at the effectiveness of using a snakes and ladder game media of integer operation matter. The method that was used is Quasy Experiment with time series design and the samples were seventh grade students in C Class at SMPN 5 Pontianak. The instrument in this research is students learning result test, observation sheet, and questionnaire responses. Data analysis result show the pass of the student learning that using snakes and ladders game media had no an effect significantly. Because, the average of students learning increased only 1,02. A student activity was categorized active with 73,49% of presentage. An excellent student with 87,96% of presentage. Then, teacher ability in learning management is very well with 3,625 average score in 1-4 range. Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita kontekstual. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian survey. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 35 siswa kelas XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. Alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes tertulis berbentuk essay. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan siswa dalam menyatakan kembali informasi penting dari soal cerita yang memuat masalah nyata (kontekstual) ke dalam bentuk tabel tergolong tinggi dengan persentase 62,38%; kemampuan siswa dalam menghubungkan dan menyatakan situasi nyata (kontekstual) berbentuk soal cerita ke dalam model matematika tergolong sangat rendah dengan persentase 19,05%; kemampuan siswa dalam menjelaskan jawaban dari permasalahan pada soal cerita yang memuat masalah nyata (kontekstual) secara sistematis tergolong sangat rendah dengan persentase 14,29%. Kata kunci: Komunikasi Matematis, Soal Cerita Kontekstul, Program Linear Abstract: This research aims to describe students‘ mathematical communication ability in solving of contextual word problems. The research method that used is descriptive with survey research. The subject of this research are 35 students grade XI MIA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak. The data collection instrument that used is written test in essay. The result of analysis data showed that the students’ ability to restate the important information from word problems that contains the real problem (contextual) into the tables is classified as high with percentage 62.38%; the students' ability to connect and state the real situation (contextual) in the word problems into a mathematical model is classified as very low with percentage 19.05%; the students' ability to explain the answer from the problem in word problems that contains the real problem (contextual) systematically is classified as very low with percentage 14.29%. Abstract

Abstract: This research investigated the effectiveness of using anime entitled ?Bakuman? in teaching writing narrative text to year-11 students of SMAN 4 Pontianak in academic year 2015/2016. It was a pre-experimental research which the sample was XI MIA 1. The technique of collecting data was measurement technique. The instruments to collect data were essay tests which were divided into pre-test and post-test. Both pre-test and post-test measured the students? ability in writing narrative text. Pre-test was administered before the treatment. Meanwhile, post-test was administered after the treatment. The data showed that the mean score of pre-test was 78.88 and post-test was 82.38. The interval between the mean score of pre-test and post-test was 3.5. Based on the data analysis, the effect size was 0.44. It was categorized as ?modest effect?. Thus, the researcher concluded that the use of anime entitled ?Bakuman? was effective in teaching writing narrative text. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah penelitian eksperimental dengan sampel XI MIA 1. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik pengukuran. Alat-alat pengumpulan data berupa tes esai yang dibagi menjadi pre-tes dan post-tes. Keduanya mengukur kemampuan siswa dalam menulis teks naratif. Pre-tes diberikan sebelum melakukan perlakuan. Sementara, post-tes diberikan setelah perlakuan. Data menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pre-tes adalah 78,88 dan post-tes adalah 82.38. Interval antara nila rata-rata pre-tes dan post-tes adalah 3,5. Berdasarkan analisis data, ukuran efek adalah 0.44 dikategorikan sebagai ?efek sedang?. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan anime berjudul ?Bakuman? efektif dalam mengajar menulis teks naratif. Kata kunci: Menulis, Teks Naratif, Anime, Bakuman

Abstract

AbstrakThis study was aimed to know the effectiveness of feedback method using leaflet to remediate students’ mistakes in solving solid pressure in SMPN 23 Pontianak. This study was a quasi experimental design with nonequivalent control group design. The sample of this study consisted of 28 students of class VIII B as experiment class 1 and 30 students of class VIII E as experiment class 2. Tools of data collection were essay test amount to five questions that has been validating (level of validation 3.5 in moderate category) and test reliabilities (level of reliabilities 0.489 in moderate category). This study showed that the percentage of students’ mistakes of experiment class 1 was 52.8% and experiment class 2 was 52.9%. The lowering of students’ mistakes happened to 12.5% and 15.3%. Based on the result of U-Mann Whitney with 5% significant equal obtained -Zhitung< -Ztabel, that was 0.05 < 1.96 so Ho accepted. The result showed that there was no different of the number of students’ mistakes between the class that remediated by feedback method using leaflet and without leaflet. It was hoped that this research can be a reference to the educators in doing remediation.Keywords: Feedback Method, Students’ Mistakes, Leaflet, Solid Pressure

Abstract

Abstract This thesis entitled "Survey on the implemention of free education policy at SMAN Kayong Utara District". With the problem "Does free education policy In SMAN Kayong Utara District has been implemented according to the Local Regulation?". As for the sub-issues: 1) Does The SMAN Kayong Utara District still collect the operational cost of education? And 2) Does the SMAN Kayong Utara District still collect the investment cost in the education unit?. There were Null Hypothesis (Ho): "Free education policy in SMAN Kayong Utara District has not been implemented according to the Regional Regulations" and Alternative Hypothesis (Ha): "Free education policy in Kayong Utara district has been implemented according to the Regional Regulation". The variable that had been used in this research was one variable,that was free education. The method that was used in this research was descriptive quantitative. The population that had been used in this research was all of The SMAN Kayong Utara District up to 13 schools. The data collection used survey and documents with the questionnaires and the documents from SMAN Kayong Utara District. The data analysis used percentage formula. The result that was got from the data collection proved that Ha was approved “free education policy in SMAN Kayong Utara District has been applied according to the Regional Regulation” up to 100%. Abstract

Abstract: This research was conducted using Classroom Action Research to improve students? English pronunciation by using minimal pairs drill technique. The subject of this research was the eight grade students in class F of SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak which consisted of 35 students. This research was done in two cycles. The first cycle was done on April 30th 2016 and the second cycle was done on May 3rd 2016 in which the meeting end for forty-five minutes. To obtain the data, the writer administered oral test to pronounced some words in every cycle. The writer also used observation checklist table and field notes were applied to reflect the students? improvement in their pronunciation in every cycle. In the first cycle, the students? mean score was 62.42 which categorized as ?good? but it was not satisfying. Then, in the second cycle, the students? mean score was 81.86 which categorized as ?excellent? and it was satisfying. Based on the students? mean score, it was found that the students? pronunciation improved from the first cycle to the second cycle. Keywords: Improvement, Pronunciation, Minimal Pairs Drill Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pengucapan bahasa Inggris siswa dengan menggunakan teknik latihan pasangan minimal. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VIII F SMP Negeri 2 Pontianak yang terdiri dari 35 siswa. Penelitian ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Siklus yang pertama dilaksanakan pada tanggal 30 April 2016 dan siklus yang kedua dilaksanakan pada tanggal 3 Mei 2016 yang mana pertemuan diakhiri sekitar 45 menit. Untuk mendapatkan data, penulis memberikan tes lisan dalam setiap siklus. Penulis juga menggunakan daftar tabel observasi dan catatan yang diterapkan untuk mencerminkan peningkatan siswa dalam pengucapan mereka pada setiap siklus. Pada siklus yang pertama, skor rata-rata yaitu 62.42 dengan kategori ?baik? tetapi tidak memuaskan. Kemudian, pada siklus yang kedua, skor rata-rata yaitu 81.86 dengan kategori 'sangat baik' dan memuaskan.
