Abstract

AbstractThis study is aimed to investigate corrective feedback strategies used by the teacher to respond students’ speaking error and explain students’ perception toward corrective feedback by using case study method. The participants in this research were an English teacher and 40 students of the tenth grade of marketing 1, SMKN 3 Pontianak. From direct observation, it was found that the corrective feedback strategies used by the teacher were recast (31,82%), explicit correction (22,73%), elicitation (18,18%), repetition (15,91%) and clarification request (11,36%). The strategy that mostly appeared was recast, where to correct the students’ error in speaking, the teacher directly facilitated the students with the correct form. Furthermore, there were two questionnaires given to the students to know students’ perception toward corrective feedback. The result showed that most of the students (50%) preferred explicit correction where the reason was they thought that it was helpful for them to know the part of their error and also made them easier to correct the error to avoid the same error in the future performance. The students also gave positive response because they thought that corrective feedback given by the teacher was very helpful, they also learned much from the feedback, they felt satisfied and did not resent of being corrected and thought to correct their error.Keywords: Corrective Feedback, Speaking, Perception

Abstract

AbstrackA common problem in this research is whether using STAD type co-operative model can improve the learning outcomes of grade V students of Elementary School Negeri 9 Pontianak Tenggara. General purpose in this research is to improve student learning outcomes by using STAD type V cooperative model.This research uses descriptive method with class action research form, and collaborative characteristic. The place of research took place at State Elementary School 09 Pontianak Southeast with the subject of research that is class V which amounted to 30 people. Data collecting techniques used are direct observation techniques and measurement techniques.The collected data is analyzed by calculation of average and percentage. This research was conducted as many as three cycles with 1 meeting in each cycle. The results obtained are 1) the ability of teachers in planning learning in cycle I obtained average score 3.16, cycle II obtained average score 3.45, cycle III obtained average score 3.57. 2) the ability of teachers to implement learning in cycle I obtained average score 3.25, cycle II obtained average score 3.42, cycle III obtained average score 3.69. 3) Students' learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained an average of 74.33 in either category, cycle II obtained average 87.33 in very good category and cycle III obtained average of 93,16 in very good category. Abstract

Abstract This thesis entitled “social associative interaction in children with special needs mental retardation in Dharma Asih extraordinary school in Pontianak City”. The purpose of this research to describe the cooperation of harmony and cooptation cooperation in children with mental retardation in Dharma Asih Pontianak city. The method in this research is qualitative method with descriptive analysis. The techniques used with obtain data in this research are observation, interview and documentation. The subjects of this research are two students, one teacher and marching band coach. The result of this research show that the role this it can be seen from the observation that students who studying inside or outside the classroom is routine practice which is done after the learning progress, learnes look very harmonious. They help each other if one of the students have difficulties in doing the task and learnes able interaction with the marching band coach who has worked one yaer in the school means that the learn can reseive a new element from the marching band coach, therefore the cooptation cooperation between the students and the marching band coach goes well. Keywords: Associative Sosial Interaction, Mental Retardation

Abstract

Abstrak : Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : (1) untuk mengembangkan Lembar Kerja Berbasis Kompetensi, (2) untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa dalam memahami, menerapkan, dan memecahkan masalah dengan konsep turunan fungsi. Penelitian ini bersifat pengembangan sehingga metode penelitian dilakukan dengan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan (research and development approach). Data diperoleh dari tahapan penelitian dan pengembangan sebagai berikut : (1) studi pustaka, (2) survei lapangan, (3) pre-tes, (4) penyusunan, validasi, revisi dan penyempurnaan draf model LKS yang dikembangkan setelah mendapatkan saran dan masukan dari pakar, (5) pos-tes setelah siswa belajar dengan menggunakan Lembar Kerja Siswa Berbasis Kompetensi yang dikembangkan. Dari hasil penelitian dan pengembangan   diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa penerapan Lembar Kerja Siswa Berbasis Kompetensi dalam proses pembelajaran dapat memberikan kontribusi di dalam  mengatasi masalah kesenjangan antara bahan ajar dengan pencapaian kompetensi yang diharapkan pasca pembelajaran materi pelajaran “Turunan Fungsi”.   Kata kunci : Lembar Kerja Siswa, Kompetensi, Konsep Turunan Fungsi   Abstract : The aims of this research are: (1) to develop competency-based student worksheet; (2) to increase student competency in understanding, applying, and solving problems with the concept of the derivative of function. This study was developmental research so the method employed research and development approach. The data were collected from the stages of research and development as follows: (1) literature study (2) field survey, (3) pretest (4) preparation, validation, revision and perfection of the draft model of worksheets developed after getting the advice and input from the experts (5) posttest after the students learnt by using the competency-based student worksheet developed. The results of the research and development concluded that the application of competency-based student worksheet in the learning process helped to overcome a gap between teaching materials and the expected competency achievement in the material of "The Derivative of function".   Keywords : Student Worksheet, Competency, Concept of The Derivative of  Function

Abstract

AbstractThe title of this research "Application of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior in the Household in Sungai Bangkong Village, Pontianak City". This study aims to find out the general problems in this study, namely "How to apply the values of clean and healthy living behavior in households Sungai Bangkong Village". With the sub-problems: 1) What are the values of clean and healthy behavior in the household in the Sungai Bangkong. 2) What is the application of clean and healthy behavioral values in the household. The form of research used in this study is qualitative research with descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques used observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this study are that the application of the values of clean and healthy living behavior in households in theontongak city sungai bangkong village can be concluded to be implemented quite well, although there are several indicators or PHBS values that are still not maximal in its application. Such as lack of fruit consumption everyday, combating mosquito larvae only a few times, as well as the presence of family members who smoke inside the house, and their lack of knowledge about what PHBS actually is because there is no socialization from the health authorities about promoting PHBS in the household. Keywords:  Application, Value, PHBS, Household, Sungai Bangkong

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this study is to describe the influence of Indonesian language learning to apply audio visual media to the skills of writing poetry in class V Elementary School Negeri 21 Pontianak Barat. This research uses experimental experimental type experiment with design time series design design. The population in this research is all students of class V of Elementary School of Negeri 21 Pontianak Barat which consists of three classes. The sample of this study is the VC class of 23 students. Instruments in the form of test with the form of acquisition of results as much as 1 problem. Data collection techniques use measurement techniques. The result of hypothesis test using t-test (t test dependent) obtained t_ (count) of 4.607 for dk 23 and α = 5% obtained t_ (table) of 1.717, which means t_hitung> t_table (4,016> 1,717), from the calculation effect size (ES), an average of 0.29 was obtained. So, it can be concluded that there is influence of audio visual media to poetry writing skill in class V Elementary School Negeri 21 Pontianak Barat Keywords: Influence, Audio Visual Media, Poetry Writting Skill.

Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this research was to describe the competency of students’ skill in making primary solution, diluting secondary solution and standardizing solution after the researcher applied direct introduction. The sample of research was elevent grade students of Industrial Chemistry Department of SMK-SMTI Pontianak. In this research, the students consisted of 22 students. The data collection was the expertise competency assessment sheet. The result of data analysis was the primary standard solution reached the competent category (100%), the competency of the dilution of secondary standard solution reached the competent category (95%) and standardization reached the competent category (90%). Therefore, the researcher concluded that the students were competent in making and standardizing solution after the researcher applied direct introduction.Keywords: direct introduction, making solution, standardization

Abstract

AbstractSearch behavior that is shown by someone when interacting with information systems so that information seeking behavior to meet their needs. Information seeking behavior begins when someone feels that there is knowledge they have when it is less than the knowledge they need. The purpose of this research is to describe students 'behavior in information retrieval at the STMIK library in Pontianak and to describe the students' constraints in information retrieval at the STMIK Library in Pontianak. This research is a field research (empirical). In this study, the type of research used is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. While the data collection method used is observation, interviews, and documentation. In this study, informants were STMIK Pontianak students. The results show that the user does not follow the search phase in accordance with Ellis's theory. Some students search directly into the bookshelf according to their needs, for some reason they already know where they want books. The problem faced by users is the absence of an information search tool. Keywords: information seeking behavior, information retrieval

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui secara jelas tentang nilai-nilai pendidikan karakter dalam novel Mimpi Anak Pulau. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif artinya data yang diperoleh, dianalisis, dan diuraikan menggunakan kata-kata ataupun kalimat bukan dalam bentuk angka-angka atau menggunakan perhitungan. Hasil analisis data menghasilkan simpulan bahwa konsep pendidikan karakter dalam novel Mimpi Anak Pulau mencakup beberapa nilai yaitu: nilai jujur (jujur dalam menjawab pertanyaan, jujur kepada diri sendiri dan Tuhan, jujur kepada diri sendiri dan orang tua, jujur mengakui kekurangan, jujur dalam berpendapat, dan jujur mengakui kesalahan). Nilai tanggung jawab (tanggung jawab terhadap keluarga, tanggung jawab terhadap Tuhan, dan tanggung jawab kepada pekerjaan). Nilai cerdas (cerdas dalam menghitung, cerdas dalam menjawab pertanyaan, cerdas dalam berpendapat, dan cerdas mempunyai ide). Nilai peduli (peduli sosial). Kata kunci: Nilai, Pendidikan, Karakter, Novel     Abstract: This study aims to know clearly about the values of character education in the novel Island Dream Child. The method used is descriptive method means that the data obtained, analyzed, and described using words or phrases not in the form of numbers or use calculations. Results of the data analysis resulted in the conclusion that the concept of character education in the novel Dream Child Island includes several values which are: the value of honest (honest in answering questions, be honest to yourself and God, honest to themselves and parents, honestly admit shortcomings, honest opinion, and honestly admit mistakes). The value of responsibility (family responsibilities, responsibilities towards God, and responsibility to the job). Value intelligent (smart in calculating, smart in answering questions, intelligent in thought, and intelligent have an idea). The value of care (social care). Abstract

Abstract: This study was conducted on three objectives. They include exploring the students’ needs for English teaching materials for accounting, designing and writing needs-based materials, and evaluating the applicability of developed model of materials. This research was a developmental research. The subjects of this research were English teacher, Accounting teacher, and 28 students of Year-11 of Accounting department of SMK Filadelfia Pemangkat. Various  records of needs assessment indicated that there was a high demand for materials of English for accounting. Moreover, a gap was found between the content of KTSP English syllabus with the students’ needs. The findings on materials writing and implementation revealed that the materials’ applicability is proven “excellent” according to the users’ perspectives. The materials were considered helpful and relevant with the students’ needs as it provided specific English materials and meaningful activities which connected the English classroom learning with the real world use of English for Accounting. Keywords: Developing materials, task-based materials, English for accounting Abstrak: Penelitian ini dilaksanakan untuk mencapai 3 tujuan, yaitu untuk mengetahui kebutuhan siswa terhadap materi pengajaran bahasa Inggris akuntansi, untuk merancang dan menulis materi berdasarkan kebutuhan tersebut, dan untuk mengevaluasi daya terap materi pengajaran bahasa Inggris akuntansi yang telah dikembangkan. Penelitian ini merupakan sebuah penelitian pengembangan dengan subyek penelitian yang terdiri dari seorang guru bahasa Inggris, seorang guru akuntansi, dan 28 siswa kelas 11 jurusan akuntansi di SMK Filadelfia Pemangkat. Sejumlah data analisis kebutuhan yang terkumpul mengindikasikan bahwa terdapat kebutuhan yang tinggi terhadap materi pengajaran bahasa Inggris akuntansi. Selain itu, terdapat kesenjangan antara isi silabus KTSP bahasa Inggris dengan  kebutuhan siswa sebenarnya. Berdasarkan perspektif penggunanya, materi yang telah dikembangkan dan diujicoba dinilai “sangat baik”. Materi tersebut dianggap membantu dan sesuai  dengan kebutuhan siswa karena menyediakan materi bahasa Inggris yang khusus dan aktifitas yang bermakna yang menghubungkan pembelajaran bahsa Inggris di kelas dengan kegunaan bahasa Inggris untuk akuntansi di dunia nyata.
