Abstract

AbstractThis study aimed to describe the civics learning  outcomes by using student teams achievement division in the fifth grade public elementary school 28 South Pontianak. The method that used in this research was descriptive method with a form of classroom action research. The subject in this research were teacher and 23 students of class V. The procedure in this research consists of four step: planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection technique that used in this research were direct observation technique and scrutiny documents. The data collection technique that used in this research were observation sheets and sheets of scrutiny documents. This research result: 1) the ability of teacher to plan learning in cycle 1, with an average score of 3,54. In cycle 2 and cycle 3 becomes 3,72 to 3,88. 2) the ability of teacher in implementing the learning in the first cycle, with an average score of 3,36, in cycle 2 to 3,61, in cycle 3 to 3,85. 3) An increase in the average learning outcomes of class V at first cycle is 68,61, the second cycle increase to 77,27 and in cycle 3 into 86,52. Keywords: Learning Outcomes, Civics Learning, STAD

Abstract

AbstractThe research aimed to determine the effect of the cooperative learning model  numbered heads together type assited by flipbook on student learning outcomes in the material of virus in class X SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Pontianak. The study was a quasy experimental research with a nonequivalent control group design. The sampling technique used intact group with class X-MIA-3 as the experimental class and class X-MIA-2 as the control. The instrument was in the form of a multiple choice test with 20 items. The average learning outcomes of exsperimental class which was 15,26 while the average in control class was 11,60. The results of U Mann-Whitney test showed that Zcount(-3,67) < -Ztable (-1,96), meaning that there were significant differences between the learning outcomes of students taught using cooperative learning model numbered heads together type assited by  flipbook and conventional model. Abstract

AbstractThe influence of usage of teams games tournaments on the learning outcomes of social science students grade III Sekolah Dasar Bawamai Pontianak Kota. This study aims to find out how big the influence of using the TGT on the results of IPS learning. The method used in this research is experimental method, with nonequivalen control group design. Collecting technique is measurement technique. Based on result of data analysis, the mean of learning result of student of control class equal to 74,76 while experiment class equal to 78,29. The result of hypothesis test (t-test) using t-test polled variance was obtained tcount of 2,43 and ttable 1,99 (significance level (?) = 5% and dk = 70) showed that tcount is greater than ttable then Ha is accepted. From the calculation of effect size, obtained 0.40 (medium criteria) This means the usage of TGT gives a medium influence on the learning outcomes of students grade III Sekolah Dasar Bawamai Pontianak Kota. Based of researched, admissible (1) teachers in school using varies models like teams games tournaments on social students learning (2) for researcher who shoot for convince knot of teams games tournaments, to create condusif condition on the learning. Keywords: Influence, TGT, Learning Outcomes

Abstract

Abstract This research is motivated by the absence of comprehensive research in discribe of idiom of Malay Language dialect Kapuas Hulu. The issues discussed is how type, meaning, and function idiom of Malay Language dialect Kapuas Hulu. The aim of this study was to discribe of type, meaning, and function idiom of Malay Language dialect Kapuas Hulu. The method employed in this study was data collecting methods and data analysis methods. Data collecting techniques employed in this study were involved conversation observation technique, uninvolved conservation observation technique, provoking technique, recording technique, and technique notes. Data analysis methods with steps to transcribe data, calssify data, analyze data based on the issues discussed, and conclude the data. Based on the results of research and of the data analysis, 92 idioms were found. The findings can be seen from several point of views ie type, meaning, and function idiom; in terms of the type is divided into two types, namely full idioms (52 idioms) and semi idioms (40 idioms); the meaning of idiom is a meaning that deviates from the conceptual meaning and grammatical constituent; the use of idiom is closely related to the function of idiom that is to provide advice, to satire, to compilment, and to reinforce a statement. Keywords: type, meaning, and idiom function

Abstract

AbstractThe title of this research is "Analysis of Education Facilities and Infrastructures  Senior High Schools in santun untanPontianak". General problem of this thesis is "to describe educational facilities and infrastructure. The sub-problem is how is the availability of educational facilities and infrastructure, how is the feasibility of educational facilities and infrastructure in Senior High Schools  santun untan Pontianak. The data collection tool used in this paper is interview guidelines, observation sheets and triangulation. The analysis this thesis is presented in a descriptive qualitative manner by using informants from the principal of 1 person, the manager of a computer laboratory 1 person and the manager of a library of 1 person. The results of this study indicate that in the fulfillment of education facilities and infrastructure there are 17 infrastructure that are already available but the provision of facilities in them is still lacking so that there are 6 infrastructure that are not feasible to use and 11 infrastructure that is suitable to be used. from the results of interviews with principals, managers of computer laboratories and library managers which became obstacles in the provision of educational facilities and infrastructure due to lack of funds. Keyword: educational facilities and infrastructure

Abstract

AbstractThis research was aimed to find out how the implementation of full-day shool program at SMKN 1 Pontianak. The research method used was descriptive study in a form of  qualitative. The subject of this research included the headmaster, teachers, and the students of SMKN 1 Pontianak, and the datawere sheets of observation, result of interview, and documentation. The researcher used domain data of analysis and degree data of credibility. The result of this research showed that the implementation of full-day school program at SMKN 1 pontianak has been in optimalized utilation of time as big as  4,75  which was categorized assubstantial, improving and discovering talent was 3,4 was categorized as moderate, embeding the improtance of process as big was 3,7 categorized as moderate, the students' focus and learning were 2,7 categorized as low, in expanding the creativitywas 3 categorized as moderate, and students were being controlled well was 3,4 that was categirized as moderate. Keyword: Implementation, Full day school program

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan etika berbahasa, bentuk-bentuk makian, dan makian berdasarkan referensinya. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dan bentuk penelitian kualitatif. Pendekatan teori penelitian ini ilmu sosiolinguistik dengan pendekatan teori tabu dan eufimisme. Data penelitian ini adalah kata-kata makian yang diucapkan oleh siswa SMP dan SMA. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah informan yang berjumlah 264 informan. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik wawancara dan teknik observasi langsung, sedangkan alat yang digunakan adalah angket yang berisi daftar pertanyaan berupa soal berbentuk cerita. Hasil analisis data terhadap etika berbahasa diklasifikasikan menjadi umpatan tidak beretika, umpatan kurang beretika dan umpatan beretika. Bentuk makian terdiri dari makian berbentuk kata,frasa dan klausa. Referensi makian dalam bahasa indonesia ada sembilan yaitu (keadaan, binatang, makhluk halus,benda-benda, bagian tubuh, kekerabatan,aktivitas dan profesi). Berdasarkan data, peneliti menemukan satu referensi makian yaitu makian yang berhubungan dengan sifat khas. Kata kunci: penggunaan makian, etika berbahasa, bentuk dan referensi   Abstract: This research aims to describe ethic in comunication, forms of cursing, and cursing based on its refernce, by high school students in Ledo, Bengkayang. Method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative. Teory aproach in this research is sosiolinguistics with taboo and eufimism approach. Data in this research is cursing words used by high school students. Data source in this research are 264 students as informants. Technique used in this research is interview and durect observation., while the tools are questionnaire. The result of communication ethic analysis is classified as ethical cursing, less-ethical cursing, and ethical cursing. Cursing forms consist of words, phrase, and clause. There are nine cursing reference in Indonesia, i.e. condition, animals, demonic spirit, things, part of body, kinship, activity, and occupation. Based on the data, researcher found one cursing reference, i.e. cursing related to particular attribute. Keywords: cursing,  communication ethic, forms, and reference.

Abstract

Abstract This study observed the activity of circumcise of Sambas Community daughters. Circumcise is a ritual tradition carried out hereditary by the community in pre-implementation, or post-implementation stage. The approach of this is the ethno-linguistics with the research problem in form of terminologi, lexical, meanings cultural, and its implementation in teaching and learning.The methodology used in this research was descriptive in form of qualitative research. The data sources of this study is the speech of Malay language in Sambas dialect spoken by community of Teluk Keramat sub-district, Kubangga village Kubung. The data in this study is the terminology used in  circumcises daughters of Sambas Malay community such as tools, process, and the terminology of speech.  The technique of this research is interview. the tools of dsts collection were interview guideline, stationary, camera, and recording devices. Based on the research,  conducted, 90 terms were collected as data of research. The data consist of 59 terms of tool, 17 terms of process, and 4 terms of time, 6 terms of doer, 3 terms of place,3 terms of word and 3 terms of abstinence forbids. Keywords:  Circumcising Daughters Terminology, Malay Sambas

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Gaya Kepemimpinan Transaksional Wali Kelas di MAN 1 dan MAN 2 Pontianak dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik dan non akademik. Penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, Wali Kelas, Guru dan Siswa. Adapun hasil dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa: Gaya kepemimpinan transaksional wali kelas MAN 1 dan MAN 2 Pontianak melakukan pembinaan wali kelas secara rutin yang diadakan dua minggu sekali. Gaya kepemimpinan transaksional wali kelas dalam menggerakkan siswa di MAN 1 dan MAN 2 Pontianak juga memilki cara yang sama yaitu menggunakan metode pendekatan dan kerjasama. Gambaran gaya kepemimpinan transaksional wali kelas di MAN 1 dan MAN 2 Pontianak memiliki cara yang sama yaitu penerapan reward dan. Wali kelas MAN 1 dan MAN 2 Pontianak memiliki gaya yang sama dalam membina siswa yaitu menggunakan gaya kepemimpinan transakional dengan cara membimbing, memotivasi, dan mengarahkan secara langsung. Alasan wali kelas MAN 1 dan MAN 2 Pontianak menampilkan gaya kepemimpinan transaksional karena para wali kelas merasa gaya kepemimpinan transaksional merupakan cara yang tepat dalam mempengaruhi siswa. Kata Kunci: Gaya Kepemimpinan Transaksional, Wali Kelas Abstract: This research of this study are to find style of transactional leadership made by classroom teacher in MAN 1 and MAN 2 Pontianak to increasing the students academic and non academic. The method of this research was qualitave with case study approachment. The subject in this research was head master, classroom teacher, teacher and students. The result in this research can conclude are: style of transactional leadership made by classroom teachers in MAN 1 and MAN 2 Pontianak gave guidance to classroom teachers that held one in two weeks. Style of transactional leadership that made by classroom teachers in MAN 1 and MAN 2 Pontianak has the same way to influence students. That they used approachment and cooperation method. Style of transactional leadership that made by classroom teachers in MAN 1 and MAN 2 Pontianak has the same style that is by giving reward and punishment. The classroom teachers in MAN 1 and MAN 2 Pontianak has the same way in guiding students applying transactional leadership by directing, motivating, and guiding students directly. The reasons of classroom teachers in MAN 1 and MAN 2 Pontianak in applying the transactional leadership because it was a great way to influence and affect student. Abstract

Abstract This research was conducted to improve the students? participation in learning writing recount text by using picture series. Most of the students did not actively participate in the class, when the teacher taught, they did not pay attention to the teacher, they talked to each other and did not participate in completing the assigned task. To achieve the research purpose, a classroom action research was conducted. This research was implemented to 33 eighth grade class D students. The research was done in three cycles. The writer observed the improvement of students? participation by collecting the data through observation technique. The result of data analysis showed that the students? participation improved during the process of teaching and learning writing recount text using picture series. The students could active participate in the teaching learning process. It showed that the percentage of students? participation improved from 43% (cycle 1) to 45% (cycle 2) increased to 72% (cycle 3). It can be concluded that the students? participation in learning writing recount text improved using picture series. Thus, it is recommended to the teachers to use picture series as a media to improve students? participation. Keywords: Learning Writing Recount Text, Participation, Picture Series
