Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to improve student learning activities through Lesson Study on rectangular material. The research was conducted at SMP PGRI 4 Pontianak Class VII semester 1 academic year 2011/2012 where the subject of this research is the students of class VII A which amounted to 35 people, with the details of 16 men and 19 women. The research used is Classroom Action Research (PTK). The study was conducted in two meetings. Each meeting consists of three stages, namely the stage of planning, implementation and reflection. The types of data collected in each cycle are quantitative data in the form of field research notes. Based on the observations obtained at each meeting, it can be seen that the more days learners become more active in learning activities. With the use of Lesson Study the classroom atmosphere becomes more alive and not monotonous, so that learners become more motivated, interested, and more active to follow the learning activities of mathematics. At the first meeting, the learning activities of students who support the learning there are 18 points while the learning activities of students who do not support learning there are 16 points. In the second cycle, student learning activities that support learning there are 23 points whereas student learning activities that do not support learning there are 10 points. The results showed that the Lesson Study can improve the learning activity of VII students of SMP PGRI 4 Pontianak.        Keywords: inprove, activities, lesson study

Abstract

AbstractThis research focused on BCCT learning model through art center to develop creativity of 5-6 year old child of Islamiyah Kindergarten. A common problem in this study is "How does the BCCT learning model through art centers to develop creativity in children aged 5-6 years in Islamiyah Kindergarten?". The method used in this research is descriptive and using qualitative research approach. The technique used in this research is triangulation with data gathering tool that is interview guides, observation guidance and documentation. The subject of the research is the teacher of art center and children aged 5-6 years in Islamiyah. The result of the research concludes that the planning, implementation and evaluation of BCCT learning model through art center in developing creativity of children aged 5-6 years is implemented using four steps namely environmental structuring, scaffolding before play, scaffolding during play, and scaffolding after playing. Suggestion from researcher, that is: (1) Teachers can make own props and media of play by utilizing natural materials, waste and traces in overcoming the limitations of the props (2) Teachers can see the reference in the arrangement of the main environment by doing wise spatial arrangement 3) The need for maintenance of play materials that have been available.Keyword: BCCT Learning Model, Art Center, Creativity

Abstract

Abstract The study aims to find out the procedure of credit granting by PT DSV Propertindo, what are the causes of bad debts, and how PT DSV Propertindo Delima Cipta Land Project on the branch of Pontianak in handling bad debts. Primary data sources in this study obtained from respondents, by interviews. While the secondary data optained from employees, company documents, and from the library by reviewing and connecting theories that exist. Data has been analyzed by using a purely descriptive method of collecting existing data. Data grouping into categories based on the similarity of data types. With the aim to illustrate the problems studied, than analyzed by using the opinions or theories of experts. The causes of non-perfoming loans in PT DSV Propertindo Project Delima Cipta Land at Pontianak branch is due to the custumer?s unwillingness as much 30%, the location to of the plots is far from the settlement of 20%, the family economy problem 20% and the unidentified froblem of 30%. Efforts made by PT DSV Propertindo Project Delima Cipta Land at Pontianak Branch to handle problem loans by sending notification letters, sending warning latters to the custumer?s address. Abstract

Abstract This study aimed to determine the feasibility of flash-based powerpoint (flash PPT) learning media on material structure and function of plans in class XI. The research methode was descriptive. Flash PPT learning media developed from the results of research stomata sizes and types. Flash PPT media was conducted using Yamasari by media expert validators and learning material experts. The results of flash PPT media validation study obtained a total average score of 3.56 which was classified as valid, so that flash PPT was suitable to be used in the material structure and function of plant tissue in class XI. Abstract

AbstractThis research aimed to collect data of plants used as food additives by local people in Rasau Jaya Umum Village Kubu Raya Regency West Kalimantan, determine the validity, and the response of students of the modules developed. The form of study was Research and Development R&D. The source of this research data was local people in Rasau Jaya Umum and the students of class VIII of Kubu Raya Regency. Data were obtained by using observation sheets, module validity assessment sheets, and questionnaire responses of students to the module. The results showed that there are 18 species of 15 plant families used as natural additives, namely Liliaceae, Zingiberaceae, Amaranthaceae, Oxalidaceae, Rutaceae, Arecaceae, Poaceae, Gnetaceae, Malvaceae, Cactaceae, Pandanaceae, Piperaceae, Polygonaceae, Anacardiaceae, and Myrtaceae. Data about the plants then implemented into modules with content validity, presentation validity, linguistic validity, and graphic validity, each of which has a conten validityvalue of 1,00 with a valid category. The results of the initial phase trial of the module obtained the response of students with an average of 84,3% with very high criteria. The results of the field trial of the module obtained the response of students with an average of 86,1% with very high criteria. Keywords: Plants, Rasau Jaya Umum Village, Module, and Food Additives

Abstract

Abstrak, Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan tentang peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dalam pembelajaran IPA menggunakan model Cooperative Student Teams Achievement Division di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 09 Padagi. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif.Sifat kolaboratif. Subjek penelitian guru yang mengajar IPA dan siswa kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Negeri 09 Padagi. Seting penelitian seting dalam kelas. Teknik yang digunakan adalah teknik observasi langsung. Sedangkan alat pengumpul datanya adalah lembar observasi.Hasil penelitian ini adalah:kemampuan guru merencanakan pelaksanaan pembelajaran meningkat dari skor rata-rata 2,4 disiklus 1 menjadi 3,6 disiklus 2,kemampuan guru melaksanakan pembelajaran meningkat dari skor rata-rata 2,62 disiklus 1 menjadi 3,54 disiklus 2.hasil belajar siswa meningkat dari rata-rata  57,5 di siklus 1 menjadi 87,5 disiklus 2.dengan demikian penerapan model Cooperative Student Teams Achievement Division pada pembelajaran IPA dikelas IV sekolah dasar negeri 09 Padagi terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV  sekolah dasar negeri 09 padagi.   Kata Kunci : Cooperative STAD, Hasil Belajar, IPA   Abstract, purpose of this study was to describe the learning outcome of students in learning science using a model of Cooperative Student Teams Achievement Division at State Elementary School fourth grade 09 Padagi. The method used is descriptive method. The collaborative nature. The subject of research and science teachers who teach fourth grade students of State Elementary School 09 Padagi. Setting research in the classroom setting. The technique used is the technique of direct observation. While the data collection tool is a sheet observasi. result this study are: the ability of teachers plan learning implementation increased from an average score of 2.4 to 3.6 cycled cycled 1 second, the ability of teachers to implement learning increased from an average score of 2.62 cycled 1 to 3.54 cycled 2. result student learning increased from an average of 57.5 in cycle 1 to be 87.5 2.with cycled so the application of the Cooperative Student Teams Achievement Division on science teaching in class IV Padagi 09 public primary schools proved to be improve learning outcomes of fourth grade students in public primary schools 09 padagi. Keywords: STAD Cooperative , Learning Outcomes , IPA

Abstract

AbstractThe ritual of the Payong liIen which is carried out by Malay people in Semudun, Mempawah, is a form of cultural traditions. Implementation of the traditional ceremony has certain purposes both in terms of the equipment used and the stages taken.This research examines the ins and outs of the meaning, from the linguistic sides through semantic studies. The object of this research focuses on the components of meaning in the equipment used as well as the procession in the ritual of Payong lilen.The method of this research was a descriptive method with qualitative form. The initial data was taken through surveys and observation over the object of the research.Based on the data analysis, 18 types of equipments were used and 11 processions were carried out in the implementation of the ritual of Payong lilen. Then, it can be concluded that the Ritual Payong lilen has 29 types of terminology which are of equipment and the procession. The obtained terminologies are sireh selike, rokok tembakok, telok ayam kampong, pinang bulat, minyak bau, payong lilen, pakuk, lilen lebah, keminting, duet sen, perapen, pacar,beras kuning, berteh, mengkok puteh, kaen kuning, gamber,kapor sireh, masang lilen, meramu,nyelepangkan kaen kuning, melumor, berabon, bealen, mengamborkan, buang-buang, meminomkan aek, niup lilen, dan moleskin pacar kekening.  Keywords: Terminology of Payong Lilen Traditional Ceremony, Malay community in Semudun village

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan  meningkatkan keterampilan membaca teks percakapan siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif, melalui  penelitian tindakan kelas yang  berkolaborasi dengan guru teman sejawat, Subjek penelitiannya  guru dan siswa. Penelitian dilakukan melalui tahapan  berupa siklus I, II, dan III terdiri perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Hasil penelitiannya diperoleh adalah berhubungan perencanaan siklus I: 2,61, siklus II: 3,01 dan siklus III: 3,59. Hasil yang  berhubungan dengan pelaksanaan pembelajaran siklus I : 2,64, siklus II: 3,01 dan siklus III: 3,56; sedangkan hasil belajar  di peroleh siklus I: 65,76 siklus II: 69,41 dan siklus III: 79,64. Dengan demikian  disimpulkan bahwa: peningkatan keterampilan membaca teks percakapan menggunakan metode latihan pembelajaran kelas V SD Negeri 15 Tapang Sambas mengalami peningkatan, baik rancangan pembelajaran, pelaksanaan pembelajaran maupun hasil belajar dengan harapan hasil penelitian ini dapat dikembangkan  pihak sekolah yang sama atau  sekolah berbeda, khususnya di sekolah dasar Negeri 15 Tapang Sambas.   Kata Kunci  : Keterampilan Membaca Teks Percakapan, Metode Latihan Abstract: This study aims to improve the reading skills of students in reading skills of students in learning conversational text Indonesia. Research languages use descriptive method. Through action research in colaboration with colleagues teacher. Subject teacher and students. Research done through the stage in the form of cycle I, II, and III consist of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results obtained are planning cycle I 2,61 relationship, cycle II 3,01 and cycle III 3,59. Results related to the implementation of learning cycles I 2,64, cycles II 3,01 and cycles III 3,56 while learning out come obtained cycles I 65,67, cycles II 69, 41 and cycles III 79,64. Thus concluded that: read texts conversation skills enhancement training method teaching 5 th grade 15 Tapang Sambas country has increaded, both learning disign, implementation of learning and learning out come in the hope the results of this research can be developed the same school or school diffrent. Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to improve students’ speaking in describing people by using Think-Pair-Share (TPS) technique. This research a classroom action research which was done in three cycles. The subject for this research was the tenth grade students in class X MIPA 1. The researcher observed students improvement in speaking by collecting data through field notes, observation checklist and speaking test. The students’ attitude towards the learning process was gathered by field note and observation checklist. The data of speaking was obtained by speaking test which was assessed through scoring rubric. The result showed that students’ problems in pronunciation, grammar, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension had been solved by using Think-Pair-Share (TPS) as the teaching technique. Furthermore, students’ interest in speaking especially in describing people also improved. It was shown by the students’ enthusiasm to pay attention in doing every activity during teaching and learning process used Think-Pair-Share (TPS) technique. As the conclusion, the technique was able to be used in improving students’ speaking in descriptive text. The writer recommends the teacher to use Think-Pair-Share (TPS) as a technique in teaching and learning process, especially in the teaching speaking with the similar setting and problems.Key words: Describing People, Speaking, Think-Pair-Share.

Abstract

Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bentuk kesulitan dan faktor penyebab kesulitan siswa tentang koneksi matematis dalam operasi hitung bentuk aljabar di kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah 23 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak yang mengalami kesulitan tentang koneksi matematis dalam operasi hitung bentuk aljabar. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kesulitan tentang koneksi matematis yang banyak terjadi  adalah menghubungkan bentuk aljabar dengan unsur dasarnya dan menghubungkan konsep operasi hitung bentuk aljabar dengan konsep operasi hitung penjumlahan, pengurangan, dan perkalian. Kesulitan tentang koneksi matematis disebabkan oleh faktor-faktor berikut: (1) kurang memahami unsur bentuk aljabar; (2) kurang memahami konsep penjumlahan; (3) kurang memahami konsep pengurangan; (4) kurang memahami konsep perkalian; dan (5) kurang memahami sifat bilangan.   Kata kunci: kesulitan siswa, koneksi matematis, bentuk aljabar Abstract: This research aims to determine the kind of difficulties and the factors that cause the students difficulties about mathematics connection in algebraic expression of 8th grade students at SMP Negeri 8 Pontianak. The methods that used is descriptive methods with a case study expression. Subjects were twenty three (23) person of eighth grade students who have difficulty in mathematical connections about algebra expression arithmetic operations. The result of data analysis show that the difficulties mostly happens in connecting algebra expression with the bassical element, and in connecting algebra expression arithmetic operations concepts. The difficulties caused by factors are: (1) not really understand the bassical element of algebra expression; (2) not really understand of addition concept; (3) not really understand of reduction concept; (4) not really understand of multiplication concept; and (5) not really understand of number properties.
