The purpose of this study was to determie the consumptive behavior of career women in Bansir Darat, Pontianak. The approach used in this research is a qualitative approach with descriptive research methods. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results show that career women have free time and time for family when they are off work. Career women who carry out duties as housewives have higher levels of consumptive behavior after marriage. Impulsive behavior in career women in Bansir Darat, Pontianak is consumptive behavior based on a sudden emotional urge to buy an item without seeing the benefits and value of the item that has been purchased. Wasteful consumptive behavior among career women in Bansir Darat, Pontianak is consumptive behavior that spends money without clarity. Consumptive behavior seeking pleasure in career women in Kelurahan Bansir Darat, Pontianak is consumptive behavior that reflects a luxurious and glamorous life.

AbstractThe illocutionary speech act is expression to say or inform something with a specific purpose and function. This study aims to prevent speaker and interlocutor from misunderstand the meaning of a speech. The researcher chose illocutionary speech act as the research focus to describe each classification in this study. The researcher chose a novel because it shows about daily basis. This research used descriptive method in the qualitative approach with documentary. The source is from “Si Anak Cahaya” by Tere Liye, which are sentences and conversations. The researcher as the key instrument and uses it into reading results that included illocutionary speech acts in the novel. The data validity was carried out by two analysis, namely observation persistence and reference coverage. The results showed that there are 87 expressions, divided into 41 assertive, 22 directive and 18 expressive illocutionary speech acts. Based on the results, the conclusion is assertive illocutionary speech acts are more than the others. Declarative and commissive illocutionary speech acts are not found in the novel because they are typical speech acts that done by authority person in a certain institution.Keywords: Illocutionary speech act, novel

AbstractChinese Internet buzzwords are some words that are popular on the Internet. They gradually enter people's lives and change people's traditional expressions. Chinese Internet buzzwords have the characteristics of modernity, simplicity, high frequency, and intuitiveness. The emergence of Chinese Internet buzzwords is a new thing for learners of Chinese as a foreign language. It has brought many influences in the process of students learning Chinese. In order to understand the cognition of Chinese language online buzzwords by students majoring in Chinese language education at Tanjung Pura University, and to understand the influence of students majoring in Chinese language education at Tanjung Pura University on their interest in learning Chinese, the author consulted relevant information for the future Research as a good foundation. The author uses the test research method, the questionnaire research method and the interview research method to study the students majoring in Chinese language education at Tanjung Pura University. The test research method is about the students' cognition of Chinese Internet buzzwords, while the questionnaire method and interview research method are about the influence of Chinese Internet buzzwords on the interest in learning Chinese. From the survey results, the author found that students fail to recognize Chinese internet buzzwords because the correct rate reached 48.19%. It is easier for students to understand and use intuitive Internet buzzwords, while it is more difficult for students to understand modern Internet buzzwords. In the process of students learning Chinese, Chinese Internet buzzwords have brought a very good influence. Students are very willing to learn Chinese Internet popular words, increase students' interest in learning Chinese, improve their oral Chinese ability, and increase their vocabulary. This study aims to determine the consumption behavior of the Dayak Lebang community in Pengkadan Baru Village, Dedai District, Sintang District. The approach used is in the form of qualitative research with the type of case study research. The data source in this study is the Dayak Lebang community, which consists of 10 people. Methods of data collection is done by interviews and documentation. The results showed that the consumption behavior of the Dayak Lebang community in Pengkadan Baru Village leads to rational behavior by considering beliefs to act as a response to whether an object (attitude) is good or not in the actions taken, by determining initial planning, buying consumer goods and determining consumption patterns with a long term. time based on circumstances. Communities consider beliefs from surrounding views about an object (subjective norms) for actions taken, by making purchasing decisions for consumer goods based on input from the closest people, determining views in consuming with other people's input based on circumstances, choosing input from the closest people in carrying out consumption activities and determine beliefs about consumption activities carried out from the pressure of the people around them. Society uses the basis of perceptions about the ease or difficulty of realizing a behavior (behavioral control) from the actions taken, by determining reasons, controlling limitations and determining impacts in carrying out consumption activities

AbstractThis research is entitled "The Function and Meaning of Mantras in the Balenggang Tradition of the Dayak Bakati' Rara Community in Sebunga Village Sajingan Besar District Sambas Regency". The general problem in the research "How is the Function and Meaning of Mantras in the Balenggang Tradition of the Dayak Bakati' Rara Community in Sebunga Village, Sajingan Besar District, Sambas Regency". This study aims to determine the types, functions and meanings of mantras in the Balenggang tradition of the Dayak Bakati' Rara community in Sebunga Village, Sajingan Besar District, Sambas Regency. The form of research used in this research is qualitative research with descriptive research methods. The data collection techniques used are interviews and documentation, while the data collection tools used are interview and documentation guides, the analytical techniques used are data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of this study indicate that traditional medicine through the Balenggang tradition is still carried out by the people of Sebunga Village in healing diseases, In this study, there are ten types of spells uttered by the Balenggang shaman, the spell is still recognized and trusted by the community as a form of cultural heritage handed down by ancestors.Data analysis shows that the Balenggang mantra array contains a function as a projection system or a shaman's wishful thinking, a function as a cultural certifier, while the meanings contained in the mantra are religious meaning and social meaning.Keywords: Balenggang Mantra, Function, and Meaning

Proverbs can use various elements, one of which is color. As part of language, the word color has a specific cultural connotation and symbolic meaning. In different cultures, words of the same color may have the same cultural connotations, but may also have special symbolic meanings. Because China and Indonesia have certain differences in social and cultural backgrounds, psychological thoughts and habits of life, the people of the two countries also have differences in their observation and understanding of color. The author hopes that by comparing the similarities and differences of idioms in the two languages, it will be easier for students to master proverbs. Therefore, the author chose the analysis of the meaning of red in Indonesian and Mandarin idioms as a research. The author collects proverbs related to the color red, there are 15 Indonesian proverbs and 28 Mandarin proverbs. Through analytical research, the author can conclude that in all Indonesian proverbs containing red everything means neutral. In mandarin proverbs that contain a positive meaning there are 28.57%, which contain a neutral meaning there are 67.86%, and then contain a negative meaning there are 3.57%.

AbstractThis study aims to analyze the teacher's strategy in providing learning motivationto students of class XI IPS in geography lessons at SMAN 5 Pontianak. Theresearch method used is descriptive in the form of qualitative research. Sources ofdata in this study were a geography teacher and four students of class XI IPS. Thedata collection technique used was observation, interview, and documentationtechniques. The results of the study show the following findings: (1) The way theteacher prepares and delivers learning, namely preparing learning tools andlearning media, then taking attendance and conditioning the class so that learningcan begin immediately. The form of strategy used by the geography teacher so thatstudents are motivated to learn is by giving an overview of geography learning thatis in accordance with everyday life and choosing the right learning method. (2)The teacher's obstacle in motivating students is two factors, namely, internalfactors which are factors of the students themselves, such as a lack of awarenessthat learning is important. Then external factors, namely factors from outside,students become not concentrated on learning when there is another class thatdoes not have a teacher. This study aims to determine the form of associative social relations between female rice farmers in Gugah Sejahtera Village, Pemangkat District, Sambas Regency. The research method used is descriptive with a qualitative form of research. The source of this research data is female rice farmers in Gugah Sejahtera Village, Pemangkat District. The results showed that the form of associative social relations of cooperation when opening up agricultural land was carried out to help or mutual aid. Please help is done on the basis of sincerity, without any element of coercion. The form of associative social relations of accommodation when planting rice that is carried out is to maintain a balance in interacting. If there is a conflict that is resolved together. Maintain tolerance, by means of a full understanding of each other’s conditions and sutuations. The associative form of social relations assimilation when harvesting rice yields is to always maintain cohesion and unite thoughts, attitudes and actions when working together. Not prejudiced againts comrades and establishing an approach with the other party.

AbstractThe problem studied was leadership of the head of the undergraduate study program. The research method used by researchers is a qualitative approach. Data was collected through interviews, observations, documentation and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, conclusions or verification. The research results are build good communication, build good motivation and build a solid team. The results of the discussion are 1) The head of the study program builds good communication by conducting light dialogues, holding joint discussions, listening to suggestions and input from lecturers. 2) The head of the study program builds good motivation, namely giving an assessment of the performance of the lecturers, giving awards for the performance of the lecturers, treating the lecturers well and generating the desire to learn from the lecturers. 3) The head of the study program builds a solid team by making an agreement to obey the rules to work effectively. Share responsibilities that are fair and clear and able to adapt to positive changes. Abstrak The Reaserch aim: (1) To measure the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning on physics learning based on education level. (2) To measure the influence of Problem Based Learning (PBL) on physics learning by region. (3) To measure the effect of Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning on physics learning based on the dependent variable. This Research method is a quantitative descriptive method. The effect of studies that apply PBL learning is analyzed using meta-analysis techniques. By the stated rescuers objectives, the subjects in this research were obtained from a review of 10(ten) research reports. the research findings reveal that overall the studies carried out are influential an effective on the physics learning outcomes of students with an effect size of 2,064 or in the high category. The PBL model also provides influence and is effective in term of are, level of education and application of learning to improve problem-solving skills, mastery of concepts, learning outcomes, misconceptions, and high order thinking skills. This reseals concludes that the Problem Based Learning is effective for improving problem-solving skills, mastery of concepts, learning outcomes, misconceptions, and high order thinking skills.
