Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes in the system of linear equations of two variables using Student Team Achievement Division (STAD) type cooperative learning model in class VIII E SMPN 21 Pontianak academic year 2016/2017. Data collection was obtained by direct observation and test. Subjects are students of class VIII SMPN 21 Pontianak with 38 students of students consisting of 16 male students and 22 female students. This classroom action research consists of two cycles. Each cycle stage consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The results of data analysis that replicate the first half of the academic year 2015/2016 shows that students who learn completeness of students has just reached 10.58%. His performance is low. The instruments used in this classroom action research are: (1) Student Activity Observation Sheet; (2) Observation Sheet of teacher teachers in learning activities; (3) Written test (Test Cycle I and Cycle II). Results of learning data from the first cycle to cycle II obtained more than 75% of students who graduated. This study revealed that the use of cooperative learning model STAD can improve student learning outcomes on linear equations system in two variables E class VIII SMP Negeri 21 Pontianak.Keywords: learning outcomes, Student Team Achievement Division (STAD), Systems of Linear Equations in Two Variables (SPLDV)

Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to 1) Produce instructional textbook of physics education based on constructivistic approach, and 2) Knowing the quality of textbooks in terms of feasibility aspects of content, feasibility of presentation, language feasibility and feasibility grafika according to experts. This research is an R & D research with procedural model that adapted the procedure of ADDIE development which consists of three stages: analysis, design, and development. The research instrument is in the form of scale of textbook quality assessment using Likert scale made in the form of checlist. The subjects of textbook quality assessment are three material experts and three media experts. Textbook quality data obtained in the form of quantitative data is converted by product quality percentage scale. The result of this research are: (1) Developed instructional product in the form of textbook based on constructivistic approach as learning material of physics education evaluation in accordance with KKNI curriculum, and (2) The quality of textbook developed has excellent quality (SB) based on assessment of material experts with a percentage of 84.05% of ideal high score 148, and excellent quality (SB) based on media expert's judgment with a percentage of 82.56% of the ideal high score of 80.Keywords: textbooks, physical education evaluations, constructivistically

Abstract

Salah satu nilai yang terkandung dalam sains (IPA) adalah nilai agama (religius). Nilai-nilai ini dapat dikembangkan dengan menyisipkannya dalam pembelajaran suatu topik atau konsep IPA tertentu di sekolah. Pembinaan nilai-nilai agama ini perlu dipupuk di lingkungan sekolah, salah satunya, untuk menghindari kehampaan spiritual dalam pendidikan sains di sekolah dan dunia ilmiah. Terkait dengan pembinaan nilai-nilai ini, peran guru di sekolah semakin penting di tengah-tengah keterbatasan dan kelangkaan buku-buku teks IPA yang terintegrasi nilai-nilai agama. Menyampaikan kebenaran adalah kewajiban kita semua, apalagi yang datangnya dari Sang Pencipta. Kata kunci : sains, nilai agama, sang pencipta

Abstract

Diarrhea and vomiting are often caused by E coli bacteria. E coli bacteria has a strain of Shigatoxigenic Escherichia coli (STEC), producing Shiga poisons or poisons such as Shiga (verotoxin) which are harmful and pollute nature. This strain of the E coli bacterium has a detrimental effect because it excludes one or both types of Shiga Like Toxin -1 (Stx -1) and Shiga Like Toxin-2 (Stx-2) toxins. This bacterial infection has the potential as a zoonotic agent because it has been found in feces and sheep meat, feces and beef meat, chicken feces and human feces. If this bacterial colony inceases in the digestive tract of poultry it will disturb the productivity of the livestock. Therefore it must be watched out and studied more deeply. The objectives of the study are 1) to see the inhibitory power of chitosan on the growth and development of E coli bacteria in vitro 2) the test of digestibility of dry matter (BK) and crude protein (PK) ration in vitro. The treatments given in this test are: R0 = control (without chitosan), R1 = 0.5% chitosan, R2 = 1% chitosan, R3 = 1.5% chitosan, R4 = 2% chitosan, R5 = 2.5% chitosan. The parameters measured were 1) inhibition of chitosan against E. coli growth based on clear zone diameter 2) digestibility of dry matter (BK) and crude protein (PK) ration in vitro. The results showed that the higher level of chitosan administration showed greater inhibition, which was indicated by the greater diameter of the clear zone caused. The provision of 2.5% chitosan shows medium inhibition that is has a range of 10-14 mm. The addition of a dose of 1.5% chitosan in the ration was able to increase the digestibility of dry matter by 7.86% and the digestibility of crude protein 11.20% higher than the control treatment (without chitosan). The conclusion of this study is that chitosan can inhibit the growth of E coli and improve the digestibility of dry matter (BK) and crude protein (PK) for the better.AbstrakPenyakit diare dan muntah-muntah sering disebabkan oleh bakteri E coli. Bakteri E coli memiliki strain Shigatoxigenic Escherichia coli (STEC), menghasilkan racun Shiga atau racun seperti Shiga (verotoxin) yang berbahaya dan mencemari alam. Strain dari bakteri E coli ini mempunyai efek merugikan karena mengeluarkan salah satu atau kedua jenis toxin Shiga Like Toxin -1 (Stx -1) maupun Shiga Like Toxin-2 (Stx-2). Infeksi bakteri ini berpotensi sebagai agen zoonosis karena sudah pernah ditemukan pada feses dan daging domba, feses dan daging sapi serta feses ayam dan feses manusia. Jika koloni bakteri ini tinggi dalam saluran pencernaan unggas akan mengganggu produktivitas ternak tersebut. Oleh sebab itu harus diwaspadai dan dikaji lebih mendalam. Tujuan penelitian adalah 1) melihat daya hambat kitosan terhadap pertumbuhan dan perkembangan bakteri E coli secara in vitro 2) menguji kecernaan bahan kering (BK) dan protein kasar (PK) ransum secara in vitro. Perlakuan yang diberikan dalam pengujian ini adalah: R0 = kontrol (tanpa kitosan), R1 = 0,5% kitosan, R2 = 1 % kitosan, R3 = 1,5% kitosan, R4 = 2% kitosan, R5 = 2,5% kitosan. Parameter yang diukur adalah 1) daya hambat kitosan terhadap pertumbuhan E. coli berdasarkan diameter zona bening (in vitro) 2) kecernaan bahan kering (BK) dan protein kasar (PK) ransum secara in vitro. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi level pemberian kitosan menunjukkan daya hambat yang semakin besar yang ditandai oleh semakin besarnya diameter zona bening yang ditimbulkan. Pemberian 2,5% kitosan menunjukkan daya hambat sedang yaitu memiliki range 10 - 14 mm. Penambahan dosis 1,5% kitosan dalam ransum, mampu meningkatkan kecernaan bahan kering 7,86% dan kecernaan protein kasar 11,20% lebih tinggi dari perlakuan kontrol (tanpa kitosan). Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa kitosan mampu menghambat pertumbuhan E coli dan meningkatkan kecernaan bahan kering (BK) serta protein kasar (PK) menjadi lebih baik.Kata kunci: Kitosan, daya hambat, E. coli, kecernaan ransum, in vitro

Abstract

Jamusan village is one of the areas that becomes the center of melon production at Prambanan subdistrict, Sleman, Yogyakarta. However, at this moment, the villagers of Jamusan still encountered many obstacles in melon farming. This is caused by the poor quality of the melon, crops that have not been handled well and the lack of farmer’s knowledge about the management after harvesting, melon production that is not absorbed by the market. LANTPYCATION Program (Plant, Apply, and Diversification) aims to provide knowledge about quality and good management of the melons in the form of processed product diversification melon. The method applied in the implementation of this program which begins with socialization, counseling, training in management and cultivation of melons, good governance, advocacy and marketing of melon processed product. The result of the implementation of this method showed the increase of farmer’s knowledge about good quality melon, farm management and procedures for the proper cultivation of melons in creating diversificated processed melon to improve the welfare of villagers Jamusan.It could be revealed that LANTPYCATION Program is a new method on sustainable agriculture of melon cultivation in Indonesia. Abstract

This descriptive study aimed to obtain oral communication skills prospective biology teachers through peer and self assessment in class discussions. Subjects were 26 students of Biology Education Department 6th semester 2015/2016 academic year  who contracted the courses of anatomy and physiology of the human body. The instrument used consisted of sheets of peer and self-assessment, as well as the student questionnaire. The result of research showed that the average of peer assessment for oral communication of students is different with the mean of self assessment. The spoken oral communication ability indicators that was revealed include: (1) choosing the most appropriate way to present the explanation of 66% (Good); (2) using tables, drawings, models to present an explanation of 62% (Good); (3) responds to a question from another student in the form of a convincing argument of 64% (Good); (4) interpret the obtained solution by 51% (Enough); (5) responds to a question from another student in the form of a convincing argument of 57% (Enough). Students responded positively to the implementation of peer and self assessment in lectures.Keywords     : Peer Assessment, Self Assessment, Classroom Discussions, Oral Communication

Abstract

Land is a place to live various types of biota, one of which is soil fauna. Soil fauna has an important role in maintaining soil fertility and health. The purpose of this study was to determine the diversity of soil macrofauna on Agricultural land in the Sumillan Village, Alla District, Enrekang Regency. This research was conducted in July - September 2019 at three different locations. Sampling was done using fit fall trap and hand shorting methods. The results showed that there were 3 soil macrofauna phyla, namely Annelida, Artrophoda and Molluscs. Each phylum is divided into 5 classes, namely Clitellata, Insecta, Chilopoda, Aracnida and Gastropoda, 10 Orders, 14 Families and 21 species. Soil macrofauna species found were Lumbricus teresteris, Lumbricus castaneus Pheretima hamayana, Lasius niger, Lasius sp, Minimum monomorium, Soloenopsis sp, Gryllus bimaculatus, Gryllus sp 1, Gryllus sp 2, Blatella niger, Lasius sp, Minimum monomorium, Soloenopsis sp, Gryllus bimaculatus, Gryllus sp 1, Gryllus sp 2, Blatella sp, Macrotermes sp fuscipen, Leptosia nina, Scolopendra alternans, Pardosa milvina, Euryopis saukea, Vaginula sp and Achatina fulica.Abstrak Tanah merupakan tempat hidup berbagai jenis biota, salah satunya adalah fauna tanah. Fauna tanah memiliki peran penting dalam menjaga kesuburan dan kesehatan tanah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman makrofauna tanah pada lahan pertanian di Desa Sumillan Kecamatan Alla Kabupaten Enrekang. Penelitian ini telah dilakukan pada bulan Juli - September 2019 pada tiga lokasi berbeda. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan metode fit fall trap dan hand shorting. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 3 filum makrofauna tanah yaitu Annelida, Artrophoda dan Molusca. Masing-masing filum ini terbagi dalam 5 kelas yaitu Clitellata, Insecta, Chilopoda, Aracnida dan Gastropoda, 10 Ordo, 14 Family dan 21 spesies. This study was aimed to determine the development levels of higher-order thinking skills on students through the guided inquiry-based learning approach. The research method used was experimental, with true empirical design research. The sample selection was performed by random sampling technique. Data was collected through five tests of essay forms in accordance with various indicators of higher-order thinking abilities, including analysing (C4), evaluating (C5) and creating (C6). The results of this study indicated that the percentage of higher-order thinking ability in the experimental class was 86%, while in the control class was lower, at 79.3%. Abstract

This study aims to know the effect of teaching and learning using Algebraic Stucture materials based on mathematical proof to improve mathematical proof ability. The type of this study is experimental method with One Shot Case Study design. Population in this study is students of 6th semester in Departement of Mathematics Education and sample is students in class A and B which are consist of 83 students. The results show that teaching and learning using Algebraic Structure materials based on mathematical proof can improve mathematical proof ability with 16Z0bs=9,74>1,645=Z0,05"> . The total score of mathematical proof ability is 44,34 from 100 or 44,34 % (good). In each aspect, teaching and learning using Algebraic Stucture materials based on mathematical Proof can improve the ability to construct evidence includes the use of methods of proof and the use of fact, the concept and principles of mathematics by 26,99 from 50 or 53,98 % (good) and 17,14 from 50 or 34,70 % (good) in the aspect of the ability to read a proof to determine truth or mistake by seeing the correspondence between the system of axioms, premises, or theorems existing. Keywords : algebraic structure material, mathematical proof ability

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) mengetahui proses pengembangan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis macromedia flash topik bahasan pesawat sederhana kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak, 2) mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis macromedia flash topik bahasan pesawat sederhana kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak, 3) mengetahui keefektifan penggunaan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis macromedia flash topik bahasan pesawat sederhana kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 12 Pontianak berdasarkan dengan model pengembangan yang digunakan yaitu model pengembangan Robert Maribe Branch dengan model ADDIE, yang diadaptasi sesuai dengan pengembangan yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini ada lima tahap penelitian, yaitu: 1) analysis, 2) design, 3) development, 4) implementation, 5) evaluation. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) kelayakan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis macromedia flash dapat dilihat dari hasil penilaian ahli media mendapatkan rata-rata skor 80 dengan kriteria layak, sedangkan untuk hasil penilaian dari ahli materi mendapatkan rata-rata skor 82,67 dengan kriteria sangat layak, 2) respon siswa terhadap penggunaan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis macromedia flash adalah 86,6 dengan kriteria sangat layak, 3) keefektifan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis macromedia flash dapat dilihat setelah siswa menggunakan media pembelajaran fisika berbasis macromedia flash, diperoleh rata-rata nilai pretest 65,9 dan nilai posttest 85,5.Kata Kunci : Pengembangan, Macromedia Flash, Pesawat sederhana
