The area with the most workers is the area operating coal filling equipment from the coal yard to the bunker. The aim of the research is to determine the effectiveness of educational videos about PPE on safe behavior when working in the Kebunker Coal Yard Area at PT PLN Nusantara Power UPK Sebalang District. South Lampung in 2022. This type of research is quantitative with a Pre-Experiment Design, One Group Pretest - Posttest Design approach. The time of this research is from July 1 -13, 24 at PT PLN Nusantara Power UPK Sebalang District. The population in this study were all workers in the Kebunker Coal Yard area, 35 workers, with the sample in this study being the entire population, namely 35 workers. The data analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis. The bivariate analysis used was Wilcoxon. The conclusion is that there is the effectiveness of educational videos about PPE on safe behavior in working in the coal yard plantation area at PT PLN Nusantara Power UPK Sebalang District. South Lampung with the results of statistical tests obtained a p value of 0.000 (p value <α = 0.05). Suggestions for educational activities about PPE must be carried out every day before coming to work for at least 15 minutes then an explanation using video media about the importance of using and demonstrating the use of PPE tools which are used in the Coal Yard Kebunker Area such as communication tools, Wearpacks, Safety Shoes, Masks, Safety Helmets, Earplugs, Safety Google, Gloves are then distributed to workers so that they have the video and explain the implementation of the education.

Abstract

Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease and a non-communicable disease that poses a significant health risk due to its high mortality rate. It can lead to various health complications, including stroke, aneurysm, heart failure, heart attack, and kidney damage. Complementary therapies, when utilized traditionally, can assist in the management of hypertension. Examples of such therapies include warm water hydrotherapy and other water-based treatments. This study aimed to determine the impact of warm water foot-soak hydrotherapy on reducing blood pressure in hypertensive patients within the Airmadidi Health Center working Area. This research is a quantitative study that utilizes a quasi-experimental method with an equivalent control group design. The research sample was obtained through a non-probability sampling technique, specifically purposive sampling, which resulted in 40 participants divided into 20 in the control group and 20 in the intervention group. The intervention group administered warm water foot-soak hydrotherapy for a period of six consecutive days, with each session lasting 30 minutes and the water maintained at a temperature of 40°C. The statistical analysis employed was a bivariate analysis with the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed a significant difference in blood pressure values before and after hydrotherapy, with p-value = 0.000 for systolic and p-value = 0.000 for diastolic. Furthermore, the data shows a difference in the mean value of systolic blood pressure between the control group and the treatment group of 41.05 mmHg. In comparison, diastolic blood pressure values show a difference in the mean value of 35.35 mmHg. It is hoped that the community, especially people with hypertension, can use warm water foot bath hydrotherapy as a complementary therapy that can be done independently to help reduce blood pressure.

Abstract

Movement disorders can occur due to muscle weakness and inability to move due to damage to the nervous system in the brain and stiffness in the muscles and joints which can cause problems with the independence of post-stroke patients. As many as 80% of stroke patients experience weakness on one side of the body/hemiparesis (Gorman, 2014). This has an impact on Activity Daily Living (ADL) where a person will depend on others, either partially assisted or totally dependent. The purpose of this study was to describe the effect of ROM nursing on non-hemorrhagic stroke patients with impaired physical mobility. The research method used was a pre-experiment with One Group pre-test-post-test design, a sample of 78 respondents with consecutive sampling techniques who were given ROM exercises with 12 days of exercise with 2 times a day. The results showed that after being given ROM therapy for 2 weeks with two applications in the morning and evening within 10-15 minutes, data collection was obtained using an observation sheet. The statistical test used was the Wilcoxon test and a ρ value of 0.001 was obtained. The conclusion from the discussion of ROM exercises can stimulate increased neuromuscular activity, stimulate nerve fibers in the extremities, especially the parasympathetic nerves that create acetylcholine, thereby triggering contractions.

Abstract

Gout is caused by hyperuricemia, which is a condition of high levels of uric acid in the blood. If uric acid levels increase, rheumatic pain can occur in the joints, pain, tenderness, redness and swelling. Data from the DKI Jakarta health service in 2018 estimated that 47.83% of elderly people suffered from gout, while in the South Tangerang area it was 6.38%. The aim of this case study is to describe the application of pineapple juice therapy to reduce pain in gout sufferers. This case study research method uses a qualitative descriptive method. Data collection used was interviews, physical examination and observation. The research subjects were 5 people who were given therapy for 5 - 7 days. When applying pineapple juice therapy, the results were a significant reduction in the pain scale and uric acid levels. Before administering therapy, the pain scale results were 7-8 and the uric acid levels were 8.9 mg/dl - 10.2 mg/dL. After giving therapy, the results showed a decrease in the pain scale between pain scale 1 and pain scale 2 as well as uric acid levels with results of 6.2 mg/dl - 6.8 mg/dL. It can be concluded that giving pineapple juice therapy is effective in reducing pain and reducing uric acid if respondents maintain a diet such as not consuming foods high in purine, and drinking water as needed.

The Objective of this research is to determine the ability to manage vaginal discharge or leucorrhea in adolescents. Research design using descriptive with crossectional approach. The sample was 52 respondents with total sampling technique. Data was taken using questionnaire. Data analysis used descriptive statistics. The vulva hygiene skills of adolescent girls are mostly in the sufficient category, namely 48 respondents (92.3%), and in the inadequate category, namely 4 respondents (7.7%). The ability to manage vaginal discharge in adolescents using vulva hygiene is still not appropriate, therefore it is important to educate adolescents about managing vaginal discharge so that adolescents have the correct knowledge and are able to maintain reproductive health from an early age.
