Abstract

Data in the world around 80% of postpartum mothers give birth normally, in Indonesia mothers who give birth normally reach 81.5%, in Kulon Progo the number of mothers giving birth is 39.44%. Mothers who give birth normally often experience pain due to uterine contraception which is referred to as "after pain" is a pain that feels like heartburn that lasts for 1-4 days after giving birth The impact of pain if left untreated will cause inhibition of early mobilization, inhibition of lactation, inhibition of the bonding attachment process, Feelings of tiredness, anxiety, disappointment due to discomfort, disturbed sleep patterns, and even prolonged pain will increase the risk of postpartum blues. So that to reduce the pain, a non-pharmacological pain management intervention can be used in the form of effleurage massage techniques. Objective: this case study aims to determine the application of effleurage massage technique in postpartum pain. Method: This case study uses a descriptive method conducted in an approach with one respondent who will be carried out effleurage massage technique 2-3 times for 5 minutes for 3 days. Before and after the effleurage massage technique, the pain level was identified using a comparative pain scale. Results: There was a decrease in pain scale after being given the effleurage massage technique for 3 days from a pain scale of 4 (moderate pain) to 1 (mild pain). Conclusions: the effleurage massage technique is able to reduce the pain scale with an average pain scale in the range of 2 scales

Abstract

Stroke is a condition where blood circulation in the brain occurs due to blockage or bleeding of blood flow to the brain. Non-hemorrhagic stroke patients often experience verbal communication disorders. Treatment of stroke with verbal communication disorders can use pharmacological and non-pharmacological methods such as A, I, U, E, O speech therapy. Determine the level of development of verbal communication in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. This research uses a descriptive method which aims to describe the patient's condition objectively. The respondent experienced verbal communication disorders so he was given AIUEO speech therapy 2 times a day for 3 days, carried out for 10 minutes with 3 repetitions and there was an increase in the aphasia scale as measured using the DFCS (Derby Functional Communication Scale) scale, the patient's speaking ability increased on the third day. 3 with an aphasia score of 10 or moderate aphasia. A, I, U, E, O speech therapy is able to increase the scale of communication in stroke patients with verbal communication disorders.

CF was obtained from Bandung West Java. Method: Minerals including potassium (K), calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) levels were determined using the SSA-flame methods, whereas flavonoid and antioxidant activity were determined using spectrophotometry and DPPH. The evaluation was conducted at the Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) integrated research and testing laboratory (LPPT). Results: 100 g of CF contained 585 mg of potassium, 13 mg of calcium, 24 mg of Mg, 1,2% b/b of flavonoids, and 19,06 mg/ml antioxidant activity. Conclusions: CF is a good source of minerals and high antioxidant activity, which can be used as nutritional therapy for hypertension.

Abstract

Childbirth is the process by which the baby, placenta and amniotic membrane come out of the mother's uterus. Pain in labor is uterine contraction pain that can result in increased activity of the sympathetic nervous system. Deep back massage is an emphasis on the sacrum that can reduce tension in the sacolacyous joint from the posterior occiput position of the fetus. Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of deep back massage on labor pain in phase I. Method: This type of research is qualitative with a case study research method using the Continuity Of Care (COC) midwifery care approach. Deep back massage pain management is carried out during phase I. Then the evaluation is carried out every 30 minutes by assessing the pain scale using a pretest-posttest design using the Wong-Baker FACES Pain Rating Scale (facial scale) and Comparative Pain Scale techniques. Results: Pain in labor in the first period decreases after a deep back massage. Conclusions: The implementation of deep back massage can reduce pain in mothers who give birth in the first trimester.
