Abstract

This study aims to determine the survival strategy of street vendors (PKL) in the waterfront city area of Pontianak during the Covid-19 pandemic. As we know, the implementation of limited PPKM carried out by the central government and local governments to suppress the spread of the Corona virus did not have a smooth and encouraging impact for several sectors, especially the non-formal economic sector, namely street vendors. Many street vendors feel suffocated and scream because it is difficult to meet economic needs, because the policies set by the government are not in line with expected expectations. To find out the strategies used by street vendors in surviving the Covid 19 pandemic, researchers used a qualitative approach. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The method used to obtain data by means of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used is Miles and Huberman's interaction data analysis technique which consists of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing/verification. The results of the study indicate that in sustaining life, street vendors sell with personal capital and sometimes have to borrow from relatives. During the pandemic, some street vendors on the waterfront continued to follow the Pontianak city government's policy by using masks when selling and complying with the established curfew. However, some street vendors choose to play hide and seek with the Satpol PP, by not complying with the regulations set by the Pontianak city government. The reason street vendors continue to sell during the Covid-19 pandemic is to meet the needs of daily life. In addition, street vendors must also pay for the education of their children.

Abstract

This study aims to reveal the implementation of the Kurikulum Merdeka [Freedom Curriculum] at the State Senior High School [SMAN] 3 Sungai Kakap which is implemented without completely changing the components of the 2013 Curriculum. This research used the qualitative method with the type of case study on the 10th grade students. The data were collected in the following stages: pre-research, research and post-research. The results of the research show that SMAN 3 Sungai Kakap only implements the Freedom Curriculum in 10th grade; not in 11th grade and 12th grade. This is because it is still a try-out period. The implementation of the Freedom Curriculum is considered by the school to be simpler than the 2013 curriculum. The project-based P5 program at SMAN 3 Sungai Kakap is carried out by students on Fridays with exhibitions of practicum learning outcomes. Even though the Freedom Curriculum has just been implemented at SMAN 3 Sungai Kakap, teachers have received more and better information on student achievement. However, it always requires good experience and knowledge from teachers and educators at the school. The implementation of the Freedom Curriculum at SMAN 3 Sungai Kakap, in addition to the 2013 curriculum, is in the form of a practicum program and teachers"™ collaboration with each other. In addition to the learning process, it still covers the components of the 2013 curriculum. In fact, the Freedom Curriculum complements the 2013 curriculum, such as building the character of local wisdom and values, and increasing students potential, interest, and talents that continue to be pursued in the Freedom Curriculum at SMAN 3 Sungai Kakap.

Abstract

Friendly feelings should be applied to students, especially to school members who are very heterogeneous or diverse in terms of ethnicity, religion, skin color, customs, and race. This study aims to describe the sense of friendship or the character of this friendly feeling as students' social capital in school diversity. This research uses a quantitative approach to the type of survey at SMAN 10 Mataram in the Social Sciences department. The results showed that the social studies students, both male, and female, had high friendly feelings. The character of friendly feelings is supported by the application carried out by Sociology teachers through multicultural education with the design of learning models based on local wisdom. The local wisdom that is applied is the local wisdom of the local tribes, such as the traditional song of the nongak lizard, betemue culture, and weaving which can foster a sense of friendliness between students so that it becomes a habit to be able to appreciate a difference. Differences in things that must be disputed will make students collaborate and work well. Local wisdom can be the basis of educational practice.
