Abstract

Organizational commitment is essential in public sector organizations, especially among married employees managing both work and family responsibilities. This study examines the effects of work–family conflict and work environment on organizational commitment, with perceived organizational support as a moderating variable. Using a quantitative explanatory design, 46 married employees from a local government agency in Indonesia participated in the study. Data were collected through Likert-scale questionnaires and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM). Findings indicate that work–family conflict negatively and significantly affects organizational commitment, while the work environment has a positive and significant effect. Perceived organizational support moderates both relationships, buffering the negative effect of work–family conflict and enhancing the positive impact of work environment. These results highlight the importance of organizational support as a contextual mechanism in sustaining commitment among married public sector employees. Practically, organizations should manage workloads, improve work conditions, and provide consistent support to maintain employee commitment. This study contributes to human resource management literature by demonstrating how perceived organizational support shapes the interplay between work–family conflict, work environment, and organizational commitment.

Abstract

Inventory is a critical component in business operations, particularly in the Food and Beverages (F&B) sector, which demands accurate management to mitigate the risks of stockouts and overstocking. However, many MSMEs still rely on conventional methods based on subjective assumptions, which are prone to errors and unable to accommodate demand fluctuations. This research aims to develop a web-based raw material stock forecasting information system integrated with the Single Moving Average (SMA) method to enhance inventory management efficiency. The system development follows a prototyping approach, encompassing data collection, quick design using UML, prototype construction using PHP Laravel and Python, evaluation, and system refinement. The dataset utilized consists of 12 periods of monthly financial reports from Benjiro Sushi, Lamper branch. Accuracy evaluation was conducted using MAPE, MSE, and RMSE metrics. The results indicate that the application of SMA without data pre-processing resulted in a high error rate (MAPE 77.25%). However, after implementing pre-processing techniques—including backward interpolation, outlier capping, and iterative smoothing—the accuracy improved significantly, with MAPE values ranging between 20.4% and 21.0%. The developed system provides automated and real-time stock predictions, facilitating more precise, efficient, and structured procurement decision-making. Thus, this system is considered effective in addressing inventory challenges within the F&B sector.

Abstract

The farmer regeneration crisis is a serious issue for the sustainability of Indonesia's agricultural sector. Data from the 2023 Agricultural Census by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) shows that Generation Z only accounts for 2.14% of the nation's total farmers, significantly lagging behind Generation X (42.39%) and Baby Boomers (27.61%). This study aims to analyze partially and simultaneously the influence of perceptions of the farmer's profession and oil palm farming income on Generation Z's interest in becoming farmers in Tanjung Jati Village. This study uses a quantitative method with multiple linear regression analysis. The research sample consisted of 93 Generation Z individuals aged 17-29 years who reside in Tanjung Jati Village. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a Likert scale of 1-5. The results of the study indicate that the perception of the farmer profession has a positive and significant effect on Generation Z's interest in becoming a farmer with a t value = 3.286 and Sig. = 0.001, then the income from oil palm farming has a positive and significant effect on Generation Z's interest in becoming a farmer with a t value = 2.605 and Sig. = 0.011. Then the perception of the profession and income from oil palm farming simultaneously have a significant effect on Generation Z's interest in becoming a farmer with a value of F = 28.745 and Sig. = 0.000. The R² value of 0.390 indicates that the two variables explain 39.0% of the variation in Generation Z's interest while the remaining 61.0% is influenced by other factors outside the study.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of risk management in the Batam International Sea Eagle Boat Race 2025 and its impact on local entrepreneurial resilience in Belakang padang, Batam. As a maritime sport tourism event involving international participants and large numbers of visitors, effective risk management is essential to ensure event safety, operational continuity, and economic benefits for local communities. This research employed a qualitative case study approach using interviews, observations, documentation, and literature review. Data were analyzed based on the ISO 31000:2018 framework, covering communication and consultation, risk identification, risk analysis, risk treatment, and monitoring and review processes. The findings indicate that risk management implementation was generally effective, particularly in stakeholder coordination, risk identification, and mitigation measures. Major risks identified included participant safety, visitor congestion, and limited SME bazaar space; however, these risks were successfully managed, allowing the event to proceed safely and without significant incidents. Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of rural development on poverty reduction in Central Java Province using the Village Development Index (Indeks Desa Membangun/IDM) as the primary indicator. A quantitative approach is employed using panel data regression covering 29 districts over the period 2020–2024. The estimated models include pooled Ordinary Least Squares (OLS), fixed effects, and random effects, with model selection conducted using the Chow test and Hausman test. The results indicate that the fixed effects model is the most appropriate specification. Empirically, the Village Development Index has a negative and statistically significant effect on poverty rates, suggesting that improvements in rural development quality contribute to poverty reduction. The relatively high coefficient of determination indicates that variations in poverty over time within regions are substantially explained by changes in IDM. These findings highlight the critical role of rural development as a strategic instrument for place-based poverty alleviation. However, persistent inter-regional disparities suggest that the benefits of rural development are not yet evenly distributed. This study contributes to the literature by reinforcing the place-based development framework, positioning villages as key analytical units in achieving inclusive and sustainable development.

Abstract

This article aims to identify the factors causing the resistance of MSME taxpayers to transition from fulfilling tax obligations based on turnover to fulfilling tax obligations based on net profit, which requires bookkeeping, and then formulate solutions to these problems. The problem is focused on the causes of MSME taxpayers' resistance to using bookkeeping. To approach this problem, the theoretical reference from Robert B. Seidman and Nalin Abeysekere is used, namely the Rule, Opportunity, Capacity, Communication, Interest, Process, and Ideology (ROCCIPI) method. Data were collected through literature studies and interviews with MSME taxpayers and tax officials, which were then analyzed qualitatively. This study concludes that additional actions from the tax authorities are needed to change taxpayer behavior so that they are interested in maintaining bookkeeping and calculating their taxes in accordance with general tax provisions. These incentives can be in the form of special additional tariff adjustments for MSMEs, the provision of integrated bookkeeping support facilities, continuous assistance and socialization, and improving the government's image in building trust and awareness among taxpayers.
