Abstract

Basically, there are still many coffee farmers who don't know the benefits of planting shade plants, and don't know which types of shade plants are effective to plant to support coffee productivity. This research aims to determine the effect of shade plants on the vegetative growth of coffee plants. The research method used is RAK 1 factor, namely the type of shade plant for coffee plants, with two levels, namely sengon and mahogany shade plants. The parameters observed include the amount of litter, nitrogen (N) and carbon (C) content of the litter, nutrients N, Phosphorus (P), Potassium (K) in the soil, vegetative growth of coffee plants and microclimate (temperature, humidity and intensity of sunlight ). The collected data was analyzed using a T-test at 5% level and a correlation test. The results showed that there were no real differences in temperature and humidity in the two shelters, but there were real differences in light intensity. Plant height and diameter of coffee plants did not show significantly different results due to different shading, but the primary branches and secondary branches of coffee plants under the shade of sengon had significantly higher yields than coffee under the shade of mahogany. The amount of litter per week under the shade of sengon was greater and significantly different than under the shade of mahogany. The N and C content in sengon plant litter is higher than mahogany plant litter. Temperature has a correlation with humidity and light intensity and coffee stem diameter has a strong correlation with the primary and secondary branches of coffee plants. The soil N and P content under the shade of sengon plants was higher than under the shade of mahogany. Choosing the right shade plants greatly influences the plants cultivated.

Abstract

The Lion's Mane mushroom (Hericium erinaceus), known as lion's mane, is a mushroom that grows wild in European and North American countries, but currently this mushroom is starting to be cultivated artificially in tropical areas. However, it is necessary to modify the planting media, temperature and humidity so that this fungus can grow and develop well in tropical areas. The aim of this research was to see the growth rate of Lion's Mane mushroom mycelium on various substrates in the planting medium. The method used is descriptive qualitative research, namely by observing the growth of the Lion's Mane fungus on several media with different substrates. The research design was carried out by comparing the materials used in different ratios to obtain a suitable medium for the growth of Lion's Mane mushrooms. The results of this research are that from several types of nutritional sources used, rice flour and bran are the most ideal nutritional sources for the growth of Lion's Mane mushrooms. The use of a mixture of rice flour and bran showed the fastest mycelium growth, namely on day 4, while other nutritional sources such as a mixture of corn flour and bran showed rather slow mycelium growth, namely on day 10. Temperature and humidity also greatly influence the growth of the Lion's Mane fungus. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out further research by modifying the temperature and humidity suitable for the growth of the Lion's Mane fungus.

Abstract

This research is research on agropolitan-based egional development in improving the community's economy. Agropolitan is one of the theories in regional development. One of the characteristics of regional development using agropolitan theory is that the central place is trade and services, so that the conversion of agricultural land can be more controlled. Basically, it is urban development that is integrated with agricultural development, so that there is an agropolitan area or city in the middle of the garden.  The research method used in this research is literature with quantitative analysis by analyzing data taken from the central statistical agency of Soppeng district. The research results show that the development of agropolitan areas in Indonesia, especially in Soppeng Regency, is an important step towards achieving economic development and promoting sustainable development in order to achieve a level of community welfare through the agricultural sector.

Abstract

Diversity of medicinal plants in Indonesia around ± 1,040 species from seed plants. Now, the existing of many species of medicinal plants decrease. Traditional medicinal plants in Indonesia play a crucial role, particularly for those living in rural areas where access to healthcare facilities is still very limited. Dongi-dongi forest area has a variety of diversity of pls including medicinal plants. The purpose is knowing the diversity of medicinal plant species around Lake Tauji Ngata Katavua Dongi-dongi. This research has been conducted around 2 months starting from March to May 2023, using the exploratory survey by conducting a path transect. This method in which the observation follows the direction and location of the transect center line along the path of the research path which is paired with a discontinuous plot. The results showed 10 species including 104 individuals from 8 medicinal plants families, with the highest INP value is the Sintrong type (Crassocep halum Crepidiodes) with a value approximately 72.38% while the lowest INP value is the Legetan type (Acmella Oleraceae) with a value approximately 7.28%. Overall diversity index of medicinal plant species was found to be H' 2.21 included in the medium category.

Abstract

Flavor merupakan salah satu atribut mutu yang dapat mempengaruhi penerimaan seseorang terhadap suatu produk. Meningkatnya kepedulian masyarakat terhadap keamanan dan kesehatan menjadi pertimbangan penggunaan flavor alami pada produk pangan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi mengenai tanaman hortikultura yang mengandung flavor yang ada di Kabupaten Agam yang dapat digunakan sebagai sumber flavor alami untuk produk pangan. Penelitian dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan mengumpulkan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari studi kepustakaan. Berdasarkan hasil penulusuran, diketahui bahwa tanaman hortikultura yang berpotensi sebagai bahan sumber flavor alami yang terdapat di Kabupaten Agam, Sumatera Barat adalah cabai, terung, tomat, bawang merah, buncis, bawang daun, labu siam, kubis, sawi, dan ketimun. Tanaman ini berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai bahan sumber flavor alami yang dapat digunakan oleh industri pangan. Tidak hanya memiliki kandungan flavor seperti minyak atsiri yang dapat meningkatkan citarasa dan memiliki rasa yang khas, namun tanaman ini juga memiliki manfaat fungsional diantaranya sebagai antioksidan dan antibakteri.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keuntungan yang dihasilkan dari usaha berdagang sayur keliling di Desa Banyuurip Kecamatan Bone-Bone Kabupaten Luwu Utara yang dilaksanakan pada bulan Januari - April 2024. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, karena data yang dibutuhkan dari objek dalam penulisan ini merupakan data-data yang dinyatakan dalam bentuk angka merupakan hasil perhitungan dan pengukuran dari setiap variabel. Teknik pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling, jika subjeknya kurang dari 100 maka lebih baik diambil semua, jika subjeknya besar atau lebih dari 100 orang dapat diambil 10-15% atau 20-25% atau lebih, dengan jumlah populasi adalah seluruh jumlah pedagang sayur keliling  berjumlah 15 orang. Data yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini adalah data primer yang diperoleh dengan cara wawancara langsung kepada pedagang sayur keliling dan data sekunder di peroleh dari pemerintah desa. Untuk mengetahui pendapatan/keuntungan dari berdagang sayur keliling menggunakan analisis pendapatan/keuntungan (?). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tingkat keuntungan dari usaha penjualan sayur di Desa Banyuurip Kecamatan Bone –Bone Kabupaten Luwu Utara dalam setiap bulannya rata-rata sebesar Rp. 4.675.286,-.

Abstract

Cascara merupakan minuman yang terbuat dari kulit kopi seperti teh. Dalam pembuatan cascara melalui proses pengeringan sehingga dapat mengakibatkan pencoklatan dan degradasi komponen fenolik yang mempunyai aktivitas antioksidan. Perlakuan blanching dapat mencegah reaksi pencoklatan, namun lama blanching juga harus dikendalikan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama blanching pada kulit kopi arabika dan robusta terhadap sifat kimia, aktivitas antioksidan, dan tingkat kesukaan minuman cascara. Cascara dibuat melalui tahap pemanenan kopi, pemisahan kulit, sortasi, blanching, pengeringan dengan cabinet drayer, dan penggilingan dengan grinder kopi. Bubuk cascara yang dihasilkan dimasukan dalam kantong teh sebanyak 3 g. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah acak lengkap pola faktorial dengan lama blanching (0, 4 dan 8 menit) dan varietas kopi (robusta dan arabica). Bubuk cascara dianalisis kadar fenolik total, kadar tanin, aktivitas antioksidan dan tingkat kesukaan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis statistik menggunakan Univariate Analysis of Variance dan apabila terdapat beda nyata dilanjutkan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Cascara yang terpilih adalah cascara yang dibuat dari kopi robusta dengan lama blanching 4 menit yang mempunyai kadar fenolik total 13±0,11 mg EAG/g, kadar tanin 50,79±0,28 mg asam tannat/ g  dan aktivitas antioksidan sebesar 93,20±0,06 (%  RSA) pada cascara robusta non blanching.

Abstract

The research aims to determine; (1) Effect of interaction between AB Mix Concentration and Liquid Organic Fertilizer on growth and yield components of Pakchoi Plants on axis hydroponic system, and (2) Optimum AB Mix concentration for each administration of POC concentration which gives the best pakchoi yields on axis hydroponic system. The research was conducted in Rancasari Village, Subang Regency, from March to April 2021. The research was carried out with an experimental approach using a factorial randomized block design (RAK) consisting of two factors, namely the first factor was AB Mix fertilizer with three levels (5 ml/l, 10 ml/l and 15 ml/l), and the organic fertilizer factor. three levels of liquid (0 ml/l, 3 ml/l and 6 ml/l) so that in each replication there were 9 treatment combinations and repeated three times. To determine the effect of the treatment of AB Mix fertilizer and liquid organic fertilizer, analysis of variance through the F test was used, with further tests using the Duncan's Multiple Range Test at a significance level of 5 percent. The results showed that: (1) there was an interaction effect between AB mix nutrients and liquid organic fertilizer on plant fresh weight. AB mix fertilizer independently affected plant height, number of leaves per plant, leaf area, chlorophyll index, number of shoots and stomata density. Liquid organic fertilizer independently affects plant height, number of leaves per plant, leaf area, chlorophyll index, number of shoots and stomata density, and (2) AB Mix concentration of 15 ml/l and liquid organic fertilizer 6 ml/l gives plant fresh weight. the highest pakchoy was 388.27 g per plant

Abstract

The experiment was conducted for three months, from August to October 2019. At the horticultural greenhouse of the Center for Supervision and Certification of Food and Horticultural Plant Seeds (BPSBTPH) in the province of West Java. The purpose of the experiment is research to study the interaction effect of three types of growing media and nutrients on growth and yield of lettuce plants. This research is descriptive and verified by an experimental approach in the horticultural greenhouse of the Center for Supervision and Certification of Food and Horticultural Plant Seeds (BPSBTPH) in the province of West Java. The experimental design used is the "strip plot" method. The results of the experiment showed that treatment of planting media (M) had a significant effect on leaf number, root volume, plant sap weight, and root / pupil ratio. Nutrition (N) treatment significantly affected leaf area index parameters, number of leaves, root volume, fresh fruit weight of the plant, and root drop rate. The interaction between the planting medium and the nutrient intakes had a very significant effect on the number of leaves, the volume of the roots, the weight of the sap and the rate of root loss

Abstract

This study aims to study the effect of organic fertilizer application and optimal nitrogen fertilizer dosage on the growth and yield of lettuce plants (Lactuca sativa L.). The research was carried out in Medankarya Village, Tirtajaya District, Karawang Regency from September to October 2019. The research method used was an experiment using Split Plot Design. There were 12 treatments that were repeated 3 times each. The main plot is a type of organic fertilizer (p) consisting of 3 types, namely: p1 = cow manure, p2 = goat manure, and p3 = chicken manure. Meanwhile, the plot is a dose of nitrogen fertilizer (n) consisting of 4 levels, namely: n0 = 0 Kg/ha-1, n1 = 50 Kg/ha-1, n2 = 100 Kg/ha-1 and n3 = 150 Kg/ha-1. The results showed that there was an interaction between the type of organic fertilizer and the dose of nitrogen fertilizer on the height of plants aged 28 days after planting and the leaf area index. The type of cow manure organic fertilizer and nitrogen dose of 100 Kg/ha-1 gave the highest yield in wet weight per plant on lettuce of 79.26 g
