Abstract

This research took place at an educational institution under the auspices of the Al-Islam Surakarta foundation. This research aims to determine the role of Islamic teachers in increasing students' interest in learning in Islamic religious subjects at SMP Al-Islam 1 Surakarta as well as the obstacles and solutions experienced by teachers. In this research, a qualitative descriptive method was used, namely analyzing events and understanding existing phenomena, then creating a comprehensive and complex picture. The results of this research indicate the role of Islamic religious teachers in increasing students' interest in learning, inhibiting factors and supporting factors for Islamic religious teachers in increasing students' interest in learning at SMP Al-Islam 1 Surakarta. The research results show that there are several factors that become obstacles in increasing students' interest in learning, namely: 1) less varied learning methods, 2) lack of motivational support from parents. The supporting factors are: 1) motivation from the students' parents, 2) adequate infrastructure at school, 3) facilities that support learning at home

Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the validity test on the final exam questions of the eighth grade gasal semester of Fiqh subject MTs NDM Surakarta as an evaluation tool in fiqh subjects for one semester. This research uses descriptive quantitative methods, researchers prepare a questionnaire containing 45 items given to 5 experts to be tested between the suitability of indicators with questions. In this study, researchers used data analysis techniques in the form of item validity analysis tests. The statistical test used uses the product moment correlation test. The results showed that 45 items were declared valid with an Rpbi value of 2.444 and r table 0.2876. This finding indicates that the questions used in the odd semester final exam have a good quality and validity level, so they are suitable for use as a learning evaluation tool. The high validity of these questions indicates that the items are effective in measuring students' understanding of the Fiqh subject matter that has been taught during one semester. Thus, it is expected that the evaluation process can run more objectively and fairly, and be able to encourage the improvement of the overall quality of education. In addition, this study also provides an overview of the importance of validity testing in order to improve the accuracy and efficiency of learning evaluations.

Abstract

This research aims to determine whether or not there is an influence of the application of the Quiz Team learning method on motivation to learn Pancasila Education subjects in students Class IV of Kalirejo 02 State Elementary School. This research uses a quantitative approach with the Quasi Experiment method. This research aims to develop a local stories book in Indonesian language subjects for grade 1 elementary school students in Singorojo District, Kendal Regency. This research also aims to determine the validity and practicality of the local stories book which was developed according to students' needs. This research uses a development model according to Sugiyono which includes potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design improvement, product testing, and product revision. The data analysis techniques used are quantitative and qualitative, the variables studied include the validity of the local stories book which was developed through validation by expert experts and practicality based on student questionnaire responses. Based on the research results, it was found that (1) the local stories book validity test by material experts obtained an overall score of 87; (2) media expert aspects of book size, book cover design, and book content design received an overall score of 92; (3) and the practicality test based on the student response questionnaire obtained a score of 88.8. Thus, it is hoped that this research can make a contribution to the field of education and provide solutions that can be used by teachers in facing future learning challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Ta'lim Muta'allim book learning in shaping the discipline of 12th-grade students at the Tahfidzul Qur'an Islamic Boarding School (PPTQ) Tarbiyatuna Sragen. The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The research was conducted on ustadz and 12th-grade students using descriptive-interpretative analysis. The research results show that the implementation of the Ta'lim Muta'allim book learning has a significant impact on student discipline formation through a comprehensive spiritual approach. The internalization process of disciplinary values successfully transformed students' awareness from mere external compliance to meaningful discipline arising from internal consciousness. The research implications indicate that classical book-based Islamic boarding school education methods remain relevant in forming high-quality youth character.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) between students graduating from Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) and Elementary Schools (SD) at SMP Muhammadiyah 5 Surakarta in the 2024/2025 academic year. A quantitative comparative approach was used to analyze the differences in PAI learning outcomes between the two student groups. The sample consisted of 40 students, with 20 MI graduates and 20 SD graduates, selected through simple random sampling. The results showed that the PAI learning outcomes of MI graduates had an average of 77.15, with 15% of students in the good category, 85% in the sufficient category, and 0% in the poor category. Meanwhile, the PAI learning outcomes of SD graduates showed an average of 84.35, with 20% in the good category, 60% in the sufficient category, and 20% in the poor category. Analysis using the Mann-Whitney U test revealed a significant difference in learning outcomes between MI and SD graduates, with an Asym. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000 < 0.05. These findings indicate that educational background influences students' understanding of PAI, and thus, a more adaptive educational approach is needed to address these differences.

Abstract

Muroja’ah is an activity of repeating memorization that is effective in enhancing students' memorization abilities, particularly in spiritual aspects such as memorizing Juz Amma and prayer recitations. This study aims to analyze the implementation of integrated muroja’ah activities during the morning assembly as a holistic approach that not only strengthens students' spiritual dimension but also their cognitive dimension through basic math exercises. The research was conducted at MI Miftahul Ulum Ujungwatu using a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of the study show that the integration of muroja’ah in the morning assembly enhances student engagement, strengthens memorization, and improves basic numeracy skills. This research provides insights for schools to utilize the morning assembly time as a moment for the comprehensive development of students' potential.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) to know the use of project-based learning model in Islamic Cultural History subject at MTs Al-Islam Jamsaren Surakarta, (2) to know the students' learning outcomes in the subject, and (3) to know the effect of project-based learning model on students' learning outcomes. The approach used is quantitative with descriptive analysis. The study population consisted of 279 students, with a sample of 74 students taken by simple random sampling. The data collection method used questionnaires and grade documents. The results of the analysis showed that: (1) The project-based learning model encourages students' active involvement, (2) Students' Islamic Cultural History learning outcomes reach an average of 90.53 with a standard deviation of 2.882, a minimum score of 82, and a maximum of 98, which shows very satisfactory results, and (3) The effect of project-based learning on learning outcomes is not significant, with a sig. (2-tailed) 0.357 and a correlation coefficient of 0.109, and a contigency coefficient of 0.842 which shows a strong relationship, but the p-value of 0.756 (> 0.05) indicates that the relationship is not statistically significant.

Abstract

This research aims to: (1) To find out the application of problem-based learning model for class IX students in understanding fiqh at MTs Al-Islam Jamsaren Surakarta. (2) To determine the critical thinking skills of grade IX students in fiqh subjects at MTs Al-Islam Jamsaren Surakarta. (3) To determine the effect of problem-based learning model on critical thinking ability of grade IX students in fiqh subject at MTs Al Islam Jamsaren Surakarta. Based on the results of data analysis it can be concluded that: (1) The problem-based learning model is not the main factor in students` critical thinking skills in fiqh subjects, but a form of strategy variation in learning so that students are not easily bored. (2) The results of the critical thinking skills of ninth grade students in Fiqh subjects at MTs Al-Islam Jamsaren Surakarta show an average of 58. 73, with a median value of 59. (3) The effect between problem-based learning and critical thinking skills of grade IX students in Fiqh subjects at MTs Al-Islam Jamsaren Surakarta in the 2024/2025 school year shows that there is no significant influence.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of understanding the book of Minhajus Salikin on the quality of worship of students of the Jajar Islamic Center Islamic Boarding School in the 2024/2025 school year. The study used a quantitative approach with a questionnaire data collection method that had been tested for validity and reliability and a test involving 39 students as the study population. Data obtained through questionnaires, and analyzed using statistical tests with the help of SPSS. From the acquisition of the calculated value of tcount > ttable of 2.033> 1.687 and a significance value of 0.049 <0.05, the magnitude of the coefficient of determination (R Square) is 0.095 or equal to 9.5%. This figure means that the variable Understanding of the Book of Minhajus Salikin (X) affects the variable Quality of Student Prayer (Y) by 9.5%. While the rest (100% - 9.5% = 90.5%) is influenced by other variables outside this regression equation or variables not examined. Although the effect is low, understanding the book of Minhajus Salikin still contributes to improving the quality of student prayer.Keywords: minhajus salikin, quality of prayer, fiqh, education
