This study aimed to improve the listening skill of eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 6 Tondano by using Digital Storytelling. This study used pre-experimental research with quantitative approach and one group pretest posttest design where the data was obtained from the students' listening test. The sample in this study were 27 students at SMP Negeri 6 Tondano. The findings of this study indicated a significant difference before and after using digital storytelling by obtained the mean score of 57.66 for the pre-test and 72.40 for the post-test with an increase of 25.56%. Wilcoxon analysis showed that there was a significant difference from the test before and after using digital storytelling with the Wilcoxon test results got Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) = <.001 which is less than asymp. sig. (2-tailed) <0.05. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that using digital storytelling is effective for improving the listening skill of eighth grade students at SMP Negeri 6 Tondano

The reading’s result in this research has function to find out if this comic in reading skill can improve student’s understanding especially, to understand the meaning based on the reading material. Researcher used quantitative method to collect the subject data. Students can read comic with picture, colour, and dialogue that can be more interesting as reading media. At the school researcher start the research with pre-experimental class researcher used pre-test, treatment and post-test to collect the data. The post-test used three types of tests which is comprehension test, play idea questions and inference questions. The subject of this research was grade nine Junior High School at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano, which consisted of 29 students. The data were calculated with the result of students’ pre-test was 51 and the post-test was 85. The different score between pre-test and post-test was 34. The result of this study is indicated that mean score of post-tests was higher 34% more than pre-test. As the result, researcher can conclude that reading comprehension using comic can help students improve their reading skill. This media also can be an effective way that can help student do not feel bored in class with the learning media.

The learning process that is carried out in a monotonous way turns out to result in low student absorption of knowledge. Students have many problems, especially lack of vocabulary. This research is aimed to find out whether using Numbered Head Together there is an improvement for students who have problem of lack vocabulary or not. In this research was quantitative research used pre-experimental design with one group of pre-test and post-test. The subject of the study was conducted at SMP NEGERI 2 ERIS which consisted of 18 students. Then, the technique of collecting the data is through pre-test and post-test. The results of this research were as follows: Pre-test, where the writer has not used the Numbered Head Together Learning Model, as a result there is only 1 student who got the highest score was 8 or 11%, with a mean value of 5.2. And for the post-test, the writer has implemented the Numbered Head Together Learning Model, with an average value of 7.16. From the results above, the mean score of the post-test is highest than the mean score of the pre-test. Thus, the final conclusion that the writer to convey is that Using Numbered Head Together Learning Model is able to improve students' vocabulary.

Language is one of the abilities possessed by everyone to communicate with others. There are some students who have difficulty in speaking English. This happened because they feel that speaking English is a difficult thing, beside that they also feel confused when asked to speak 1 word in EnglishThe purpose of this research to find out whether using voice recorder can improve students speaking skill. This study was carried out on third grade students at SMP Negeri 3 Tondano during the academic year 2022/2023. A quantitative research approach was used in this pre-experimental study. There are 32 students in one class for the subject. The experiment was divided into three stages: pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The instrument of the study was the oral test. The datum was obtained by pre-test and post-test. Before giving the treatment, the writer administered the pre-test to find out student’s speaking skill at the beginning. The post test was conducted at the end after gave the treatment. The result showed that the average post-test score (4,12) was the higher of the pre-test score (2,5).

The purpose of the research was to reveal the conflicts of the main character in Rachael Lippincott’s novel “Five Feet Apart”. The author uses a qualitative method to this research. This study can be classified as a library research because the data were collected through reading the novel and reading some books, dictionary, journals and internet which are related to the topic. The novel can be categorized as the primary source and the other sources can be categorized as secondary sources. In analyzing the data, the researcher used psychological approach because it is very close with human life, such as feeling, thoughts and desire. The result showed that there are 2 kinds of conflict that appear in this research, internal and external. Internal conflict about how Stella’s mind thinks about her genetic rare disease, while the external conflict discusses about how Stella Grant faces many people around her to struggle against cystic fibrosis (her disease).

This study aimed to determine whether cooperative learning can improve students' writing ability at grade 8 in SMP Negeri 4 Bitung. This research design using quantitative method. The samples in this study were students of class 8A as the control class and 8D as the experimental class. Each sample consists of 30 students and the total of sample in this study were 60 students in academic year 2021/2022. The collected data techniques were pre-test and post-test and the instrument used to measure learning outcomes was a written test in the form of an essay. The post-test data analysis of the two groups used the independent t-test. The results of the study obtained that Tcount was 1.966422631 and Ttable at the significant level of 0.05 was 1.6991, then Tcount > Ttable.Thus, it means that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. So it can be concluded that there was a significant effect from the implementing cooperative learning to improve student writing ability on the learning outcomes of 8th grade at SMP Negeri 4 Bitung

This study aims to determine whether the K-W-L technique is effective in increasing students’ reading comprehension or not. This study was conducted at SMP PGRI Poopo. The subject in this study were class VIII for the academic year 2021/2022 which consisted of 20 students. The design of this study was pre-experimental with one group pre-test and post-test design. The pre-test was given before the treatment and post-test was given after the treatment. The data of this study is collection is through a given test. The data is analysis by comparing the mean score of the tests. Based on the results of the analysis, the mean score of the post-test (T2) is higher 83,75 than those of the pre-test (T1) 34,7. This means that students who were taught using the “KWL technique” scored higher in their reading comprehension that students who were not taught using the technique. So it can be concluded that the K-W-L technique is effective to increasing students’ reading comprehension.

The purpose of this research was to know the correlation between vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension in descriptive text of students at SMA Negeri 3 Tondano. The test method was used in this quantitative research, which was a type of correlation research. Students in class XI IPA 1 were the focus of this research consisted of 26 students. The data collection technique used multiple-choice objective tests with a total of 50 questions, each for a vocabulary mastery test of 25 numbers and a student's reading comprehension test of 25 numbers. From the calculation of hypothesis testing through the use of the Pearson product moment correlation test seen from the significance value of 0.001 < 0.005 then it was correlated and the Pearson correlation value is 0.0679 based on the norm, the degree of correlation lies in the Pearson correlation value of 0.60 to 0.80, meaning the correlation between vocabulary mastery and students' reading comprehension was included in the category of strong correlation. Because the Pearson correlation value is 0.679, it can be concluded that the students' vocabulary mastery and reading comprehension of the students' descriptive text at SMA N 3 Tondano have a positive correlation.

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there is a significant difference in vocabulary skills between grade 11 students taught using popular songs and those taught without popular songs. . In this study, 15 students from XI AKP participated as an experimental class and 16 students from XI TKJ participated as a control class. Data were collected using a vocabulary test. Through trial and error, I found that her 20 items on the test were valid with a confidence level of 0.88. These items were administered to her two groups as pre- and post-tests. The results of the study show that there is a significant difference in students' vocabulary proficiency between the experimental and control classes. The mean posttest score for the experimental class is 66, and the mean score for the control class is 41.25. The t-test results show that the t-observation (5.053) is higher than the t-table (2.045). In summary, using popular songs can improve students' vocabulary. Encourage teachers to use popular songs as a medium for teaching vocabulary to students.

The aim of the study was to find out whether or not students' reading comprehension of narrative texts might be enhanced by using the reading aloud strategy. The Reading Aloud Strategy is a reading exercise that uses a loud voice reading style to help kids concentrate and pay attention. 20 students from the VII grade at SMP Negeri 1 Eris made up the sample for this quantitative study. The researcher employed a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test design. Multiple-choice examinations, true-false quizzes, and essays served as the research tools in this study. Using the average score algorithm, the research's data were statistically analyzed. The data calculated using the students' pre-test results was 49, and the test was 78 after. Between the pre-test and post-test, there was a 29 point change in the pupils' scores. According to the study's findings, the pre-average test's score was lower than the post-average test's score. The researcher draws the conclusion that the reading aloud strategy works well to increase pupils' reading comprehension.
