Abstract

The current trend of people's lifestyles is to start consuming foods that are safe and environmentally friendly. The development of information on the usefulness of organic products more broadly becomes necessary. This study aims to determine the impact of value co-creation activities on loyalty to community, mediated by perceived benefit value. The analysis tool used in this study is Structural Equation Model (SEM) analysis. The sampling method used is a convenience sampling approach with 385 respondents. The results show that consumer perceived benefits value have a strong effect on loyalty to the community. In addition, value co-creation activities in the community is shown to be measurable by customer participation behavior and customer citizenship behavior to obtain the desired perceived benefits. The role of the community with the support of the loyalty of its members can be an effective means of disseminating knowledge about organic food products more broadly to the public. Having these results, the recommended policy direction is to increase the perceived benefits of customer community participation and citizenship. Further studies are needed to refine and build a more comprehensive model that integrates other theoretically related constructs. Keywords: customer participation behavior, customer citizenship behavior, loyalty to community, organic food products, perceived benefit

Abstract

The European Union is one of the main export destinations for Indonesian palm oil. However, this area requires the sustainable development of palm oil products. Four countries from the European Union region are consistently export destinations for palm oil: Netherlands, Italy, Germany and Spain. RSPO exists as one of the institutions that ensure sustainable development in palm oil production. This study aims to analyze whether there were differences before and after implementation of RSPO in export market share and the competitiveness of CPO and RPO exports to the Netherlands, Italy, Germany, and Spain. The analysis was carried out during 1995-2020 using the paired sample t-test and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The analysis results show that there are differences in the export market share and competitiveness of Indonesian CPO exports to the Netherlands, Italy, Spain and Germany. The same finding was also found in RPO, especially in Indonesia's export market share. However, there is no difference in the export market share and competitiveness of Indonesian RPO exports to the Netherlands before and after implementing the RSPO in 2008. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the position and performance of Indonesia's natural rubber exports in terms of the concept of comparative advantage in the market world. The data used in this study were sourced from UN Comtrade, which is processed with a 30-year data series (1991-2020) and is categorized into six periods. The analytical methods used are Structural Trend Ranking (STR), Revealed Comparative Advantage (RCA), Export Product Dynamic (EPD), and X-Model. The results showed that 15 countries have consistently been the main Indonesian natural rubber market for 30 years. The RCA analysis showed that Indonesian natural rubber had strong competitiveness in all destination countries, except India in the first period. In contrast, the EPD analysis found that Indonesia's rubber market position was not always static and competitive. There was shown in the period 2011-2015, the average position of Indonesia's natural rubber market is in a market position that is not wanted to "retreat" in export destination countries. However, based on the X-Model results, the average Indonesian natural rubber is in a potential market position in all export destination countries in the 1991-2020 period. Abstract

Pepper (Piper nigrum) is one of the most exported spices in Indonesia followed by cinnamon, cloves, and vanilla. Due to its strong dependency on international trade, Indonesian pepper exports are suspected to be prone to exchange rate volatility risks. Traditionally, exchange rate volatility is perceived to discourage exports. However, studies to date remain to provide an open question on whether volatile exchange rates discourage exports. This paper aims to examine the impact of exchange rate volatility on Indonesian pepper exports to its main trading partners from 2005 to 2019. Using gravity model and GARCH (1,1) for volatility measurement, the results reveal that Indonesian pepper exports are not affected significantly by exchange rate volatility. This is because Indonesia has been in the position as a net exporter of pepper where a majority of its production is consumed abroad and pepper only costs a small percentage of the total cost of food productions. Keywords: exchange rate volatility, GARCH (1,1), gravity model, Indonesian pepper trade, Indonesian spice
