Abstract

Accidents in construction projects are one of the factors that affect company performance and directly indicate that risk management in the project has not been properly implemented. If the Construction Safety Management System (CSMS) is thoroughly applied, the likelihood and risk of workplace accidents on construction projects can be identified early. This is done to reduce the number of accidents and construction failures, as any loss, no matter how small, is significant. The questionnaire is designed to generate quantitative data that can be objectively measured and statistically analyzed. The rating scale used in the questionnaire is taken from the appendix form for the implementation of CSMS in construction, allowing respondents to rate statements on an ordered scale and produce data that can be statistically interpreted without making comparisons with other variables. According to the CSMS Implementation Level Classification, the Buffer Area Development Project at Sunda Kelapa Port is categorized as "Satisfactory." This satisfactory implementation reflects the project's commitment to high standards of occupational safety and health, although there are still aspects that need to be improved to achieve a more optimal level of implementation. Overall, these results reinforce the conclusion that the project has been well-managed, and all parties involved have a strong understanding and commitment to implementing CSMS. This is a positive indication for the project's success and the safety of the workers involved

Abstract

The Sunut Bridge is a bridge that crosses the Jragung River which connects Semarang Regency and Demak Regency. The initial planning for the Sunut Bridge used a prestressed concrete structure with a total length of the main bridge of 60 meters. This bridge is divided into 4 parts. From the author's assessment, the use of prestressed concrete structures with many pillars is considered to cause design waste and give the impression of stiffness to the bridge. Apart from that, seeing that the condition of the river during floods often brings flooding, thereby reducing the effective linear waterway of the river, a bridge construction was re-planned with minimal pillars using an arch structure. In this planning, the Sunut Bridge was re-planned to use a steel arch structure type A Half Through Arch Bridge. From the planning results, the vechile floor plat tickness was 23 cm. The longitudinal girder profile used is WF 800x300x16x30 and the cross girder profile WF 900x300x16x28. The next stage of calculating the primary and secondary structures is carried out by calculating the working loads which refer to SNI 1725:2016 and RSNI T-02-2005 regulations to obtain a box prifile for the main structure of the arch bridge.

Abstract

The soil condition in Sigar Bencah, Semarang City, has characteristics that are less supportive of construction, such as cracks, low bearing capacity, and instability. This study aims to evaluate the effects of soil stabilization using lime and cement on soil compaction and unconfined compressive strength (UCS). The variations of lime and cement content used are 0%, 5%, 10%, and 15%, with lime and cement ratios of 30:70, 50:50, and 70:30. The tests conducted include physical property analysis, standard compaction, and UCS testing. The results of the study show a significant improvement in both UCS and optimal soil compaction after stabilization treatment. The optimal additive combination for improving soil quality was found at a 10% additive content with a 50:50 lime-to-cement ratio, which produced a UCS value of 14.2 kg/cm². This indicates that the use of lime and cement as stabilization materials can enhance soil strength and stability, making it suitable for use in construction in areas with poor soil conditions. This stabilization can also serve as a solution to increase soil bearing capacity, reduce potential damage, and improve soil performance in various construction applications.

Abstract

Noise is an unwanted sound from an activity over a period of time that can interfere with human health and environmental comfort. One of the noise caused by transportation activities is train noise. To reduce the noise, it can be achieved by building a noise dampening building between the railroad and the residential area. An attempt to create a sustainable noise reducer is Wood Platic Composite (WPC) which is made in the form of sonic crystals. This research aims to analyze the potential application of WPC with square sonic crystal model as a noise reducer for railway activities. This research uses an experimental method conducted in a residential area near the railroad tracks by testing the sound intensity of sonic crystals made from square lattice WPC with a diameter of 8.2 cm and a height of 2 meters. The test was conducted by placing the sonic crystal 3 meters away from the railroad axle, while the Sound Level Meter (SLM) was placed 1, 2, and 3 meters behind the sonic crystal. The method of data collection and analysis in this study used the Ministry of Environment No. 48 of 1996. The results showed that the sonic crystal made from square lattice WPC can reduce noise by 13.54%.

Abstract

The number of passenger trips from Grobogan to Blora is the 1st largest passenger trip and vice versa from Blora to Grobogan is the 2nd largest compared to the number of trips from Grobogan to other regencies/cities in Central Java and vice versa. Fulfillment of the community's need for decent public transportation, such as Bus Rapid Transport (BRT), is needed to accommodate the potential number of passengers. The expansion of BRT services requires an initial analysis of what factors support and do not support the expansion and what strategies should be formulated for the purposes of the expansion. The collection of research data used the interview method via google form. Respondents were selected using the purposive sampling method. While data analysis used the SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats) method and IFAS (Internal Strategic Factors Analysis) and EFAS (External Strategic Factors Analysis) analysis. The results of the analysis concluded that there were 14 factors that supported and 9 factors that did not support the expansion of BRT route services. Based on the SWOT analysis, there are 3 main factors that support route expansion, namely: availability of infrastructure, opportunities for cooperation with various parties, and public enthusiasm. While factors that do not support: route expansion has not been included in the development plan and there are differences in agglomeration. Meanwhile, the results of the calculation of the IFAS and EFAS values obtained the results of the IFAS score = 1.24 and EFAS = 0.48. By using these two values as the abscissa and ordinate axis values, the coordinates in quadrant I are obtained. The appropriate strategy in quadrant I is a progressive strategy by utilizing existing strengths to achieve opportunities.

Abstract

Construction project delays are a common problem in Indonesia, often resulting in increased costs, decreased quality, and disruption to project completion schedules. This study aims to analyze the factors causing delays in the Bojonegoro Land Agency's Agrarian and Spatial Planning Building Phase II project. The Critical Path Method (CPM) was used, which identifies the critical path within the project and activities that could potentially cause delays. Data were collected through documentation,  field observations, and interviews with project stakeholders. The results indicate that delays occurred due to several internal factors, such as inexperienced workers, delays in the provision  of materials  and equipment,  and  ineffective  coordination.  The project's critical path consists of a series of activities with no time leeway (float) with a total duration of 108 days. By understanding the activities on the critical path, project managers can take mitigating measures to prevent further delays. This study contributes to construction project time management and serves as a reference for future similar research.

Abstract

Productivity is a crucial indicator in assessing the efficiency of construction project implementation. This study aims to analyze the productivity of reinforcement work on 20x30 cm columns in the construction project of the Logistics Warehouse at the Lamongan Police Headquarters. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with a case study approach, using data from field observations, documentation, and interviews. The results indicate that the actual labor productivity for rebar installation was 80.69 kg/OH. This value is compared to the national productivity standard outlined in the Ministry of Public Works and Housing Regulation (Permen PUPR) No. 8 of 2023, which is 90 kg/OH. Thus, the productivity observed on-site is 9.31 kg/OH or approximately 10.34% below the standard. Factors influencing this discrepancy include worker skill, work methods, site conditions, and the availability of tools and materials. The study recommends improvements in worker training, optimization of supporting equipment, and enhanced time management and supervision to increase productivity in similar projects
