Abstract

Raw water quality for drinking water is a strategic issue requiring attention and environmental dynamics. River quality changes are crucial for sustainability and monitoring suitability. Kali Pelayaran, a tributary of the Brantas River, is a key source for drinking water in Sidoarjo Regency. The aim of the research is to analyze the water quality status of the Kali Pelayaran river as a basis for mitigating the sustainability of raw drinking water in Sidoarjo Regency. The length of the segment analyzed starts from the upstream branch of the Brantas River which enters the Pelayaran River to the intake of the Tawangsari WTP, a distance of 21 kilometers. The research method that will be implemented is: analyzing the existing condition of the water quality of the Kali Pelayaran river which is divided into 8 segments by measuring the quality status of the river using the Pollutant Index (IP). Next, use the K-means method to create clustering based on the measured level of quality status. The water and sediment quality parameters analyzed were pH, temperature, DO (Dissolved oxygen), BOD (Biological oxygen demand), COD (Chemical oxygen demand), TDS (Total dissolved solids), and TSS (Total suspended solid). Research conclusions was formulated in an integrated manner regarding the description of current conditions and predictions for the future, presented in the form of tables, graphs, and maps.

Abstract

Microfinance institutions (MFIs) play a pivotal role in empowering marginalized communities by providing them with crucial financial services. The sustainability of these institutions is essential to ensure a sustained positive impact on the lives of the underserved. To explore the factors influencing MFI sustainability, this study conducts a systematic literature review of relevant articles published between 2015 and 2023, focusing on the roles of leadership and financial performance. The findings of the study reveal a compelling positive correlation between effective leadership and financial performance with MFI sustainability. A strong and visionary leadership within MFIs is found to foster a robust organizational culture, articulate a clear vision, motivate employees, and effectively manage risks. These leadership qualities, in turn, contribute significantly to improved financial outcomes for the institution. Conversely, the study highlights the integral role of strong financial performance in ensuring MFI sustainability. A well-performing financial structure not only instills trust among customers but also facilitates business growth and secures vital profits. These financial strengths are crucial pillars that fortify the overall sustainability of MFIs, enabling them to continue their mission of empowering marginalized communities. In conclusion, this study underscores the critical interplay between leadership and financial performance in driving MFI sustainability. The recommendations derived from the findings emphasize the importance of investing in leadership development within MFIs and implementing robust financial practices.

Abstract

Indonesian people consume 173 grams of fruits and vegetables per day, below the World Health Organization's recommended 400 grams. 16.54% of children aged 5-9 years do not consume vegetables and fruit, with 73.79% consuming only 1-2 portions daily. Low consumption is linked to increased risk of chronic diseases. To increase awareness, a song policy called "Vegetables and Fruits are Rich in Benefits" is being implemented in Tasikmalaya City elementary schools. The research used qualitative methods, including Focus Group Discussion and Brainstorming, and found positive responses from informants. The plan is supported by adequate facilities and infrastructure in schools. Stakeholders and schools agree to commit to the song to increase children's knowledge and consumption of vegetables and fruits.

Abstract

Many countries have abundant natural resource but, on the other hand, also have the potential to experience land damage, which can result in natural catastrophes including landslides, floods, earthquakes, and volcanic eruptions. Potential land damage can impact the destruction of public facilities and hamper development; socio-economic conditions will stop when land damage occurs. This research aims to find and analyze possible land damage caused by land movement in the Cipari Hamlet area, Garawastu Village. Compiling a map of potential soil damage is the main focus of research because it can help understand the spatial distribution and extent of damage. Apart from using qualitative methods, field observations were also conducted to determine the coordinates of residents' houses affected by land damage by ground movement. Primary information and secondary information are the two categories of data. Original data comprises damage coordinates, UTM GEOMaps software, location maps, ArcGIS software, and documentation. Secondary data consists of maps and data, rainfall data from 2013 to 2022, and explanations of the results from ArcGIS software. Cipari Hamlet, Garawastu Village, experienced high rainfall, 3500-4000 mm. The slope in Cipari Hamlet ranges from 0-140, which is very flat to steep hills. Risks with a low level of damage get 17 points, risks with a medium level of damage are 9 points, and risks with a high level of damage get 9 points. Damage in the Cipari hamlet did not occur due to landslides because the index value for the Cipari hamlet was at a moderate point.

Abstract

The development and growth process of domestic gas network in Indonesia is one of the Government's efforts towards National Energy Transformation or  Zero Net Carbon Emissions by 2060. In its development, a number of challenges have been found to be addressed by the parties concerned. One of the major challenges faced in the development of jargas is the presence of unaccounted gas or gas losses, which is an unknown amount of gas, such as, for example, the value of un-acccounted gaseous gas in 2022 in a region reaches an average of -24,55%. The size of the UAG (Un-Accounted Gas) value needs to be known by the parties, so research is carried out using operational data such as a monthly report containing free text with the method of text analytics. Text analytics is used to perform Analysis to find out the factors causing the occurrence of value of UAG in Jargas. The analysis uses a number of Phyton-supported tools, including Anaconda, and Power BI. The data analysis uses 3,584 word strings, with 42 UAG cause variables, then extracted into 60 Tokens or keywords, then performed the analysis on 52 unique tokens, then focused on 19 main tokens. The results of the analysis showed that -24,55% of UAG causes are due to leakage (15,56%), third-party activity (3.52%), un-registered thieves (2,22%), gas-in activity (1,99%), and accuracy of measuring instruments (1,42%).
