Abstract

Since the enactment of Interpretation of Financial Accounting Standards (ISAK) No. 335 on January 1, 2024, nonprofit entities, including Islamic education foundations, have been required to adjust their financial reporting practices from PSAK 45 to the new standard, which is more aligned with PSAK 1. However, the specific characteristics of Islamic education foundations, which manage community funds, waqf funds, and government funding, present challenges in transitioning to this standard. This study aimed to evaluate the implementation of ISAK No. 335 in the financial reporting of Islamic education foundations and identify the obstacles encountered during the implementation process. This study employed a library research method by analyzing relevant scientific articles, books, and regulations published between 2020 and 2025. The collected data were qualitatively synthesized to obtain a comprehensive understanding of implementation trends. The findings indicated that the implementation of ISAK No. 335 in Islamic education foundations remained in a transitional stage, with varying levels of compliance. The main challenges included limited human resource competence in nonprofit accounting, difficulties in classifying net assets (with restrictions and without restrictions), and limitations in accounting information systems. Nevertheless, the application of ISAK No. 335 was found to improve the transparency and accountability of foundations in the eyes of donors and government stakeholders. Synergy among regulators, academics, and foundation administrators is needed through technical training and the provision of digital reporting tools to accelerate compliance with applicable accounting standards.

Abstract

This case report aimed to describe the clinical manifestations of decreased consciousness in patients with antepartum eclampsia, evaluate the medical and obstetric management provided, and review the clinical implications of eclampsia on maternal and perinatal outcomes. A 28-year-old woman, G1P0A0, at 33 weeks of gestation presented to the emergency department with two episodes of generalized tonic-clonic seizures occurring within 3 hours before admission. The seizures were preceded by severe headache, epigastric pain, and visual disturbances, followed by decreased consciousness with a Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) score of 12. The patient had no previous history of hypertension, epilepsy, or chronic disease, and blood pressure measurements during previous antenatal visits were reported to be normal. On examination, her blood pressure was 151/103 mmHg, with +3 proteinuria. The patient was diagnosed with decreased consciousness et causa antepartum eclampsia. She received magnesium sulfate therapy, antihypertensive treatment, and supportive care. Due to the unstable maternal condition, preterm gestational age, and fetal status, pregnancy termination was performed through cesarean section. The newborn had a very low birth weight and was admitted to the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Seizures in eclampsia are associated with cerebral vasospasm, cerebral edema, and impaired autoregulation of cerebral blood flow, which may lead to decreased consciousness. The primary management approach focuses on maternal stabilization, with magnesium sulfate as the anticonvulsant of choice and blood pressure control as essential components of therapy. Delayed treatment may increase the risk of multisystem complications and maternal and perinatal mortality. Eclampsia is an obstetric emergency that requires prompt diagnosis and immediate management.

Abstract

The water loss rate in Indonesia remains at a critical range of 20–45%. The fundamental challenge in addressing this issue at the household scale is the computational difficulty of distinguishing between pressure fluctuations caused by normal water consumption patterns and pressure drops caused by physical pipe damage. Therefore, this study designed a smart pipe leak detection system prototype based on the Internet of Things (IoT) using the Zero-Order Sugeno Fuzzy Logic method. The system utilized an ESP32 microcontroller as a local processing unit based on edge computing, integrated with a water flow sensor (YF-S201) and a pressure sensor to monitor fluid dynamics in real time. The acquired data were classified into three linguistic sets—Normal, Small Leak, and Large Leak—to control a relay actuator as an automatic mitigation mechanism. Based on the system testing results, the instrument measurement error rates were 2.12% for the flow sensor and 2.19% for the pressure sensor. The Sugeno Fuzzy Logic algorithm achieved an inference accuracy rate of 100% in classifying pipe condition status compared with theoretical mathematical calculations. Furthermore, the IoT architecture recorded an emergency notification transmission latency of 1.20 seconds to the Blynk dashboard. The implementation of decentralized control through the microcontroller demonstrated the capability to reduce false alarm risks and provide reliable automatic water supply shutoff mitigation without depending on the stability of cloud server connectivity.

Abstract

The Second Dutch Military Aggression of 1948–1949 placed the Republic of Indonesia under significant power asymmetry due to Dutch conventional military superiority and the disruption of centralized authority and support systems. This study aimed to analyze the configuration of Indonesia’s guerrilla posture in countering Dutch aggression. The research employed a qualitative descriptive-analytical method with a process-tracing approach, using semi-structured interviews, document and archival analysis, and data triangulation. Stufflebeam’s CIPP Model was used as the evaluation framework, while Bunn’s (2004) Force Posture Framework was employed as the analytical lens. The findings demonstrated that territorial and command structures implemented through the Wehrkreise system generated organizational resilience; TNI–people unity fostered societal resilience; and non-conventional logistics based on local resources, including Dapur Umum (public kitchens), generated sustainment resilience. Together, these three dimensions formed an integrated and resilient Indonesian guerrilla posture. The study concluded that the integration of military organization, territorial control, civilian support, and national resources sustained resistance and prevented Dutch military superiority from becoming strategically decisive.

Abstract

Nurse performance is a critical factor in determining the quality of healthcare services. Workload, work ability, and job satisfaction are important organizational factors that may influence nurses’ effectiveness and productivity. However, the mediating role of job satisfaction in the relationship between workload, work ability, and nurse performance requires further investigation, particularly in government hospital settings. This study aimed to examine the effects of workload and work ability on nurse performance and analyze the mediating role of job satisfaction among nurses at Brebes Regional General Hospital. This study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The sample consisted of 130 nurses selected using purposive sampling based on predetermined criteria. Data were collected through questionnaires using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression, path analysis, and the Sobel test with IBM SPSS Statistics 31. The results indicated that workload and work ability significantly influenced job satisfaction. Work ability and job satisfaction had significant positive effects on nurse performance, while workload did not have a significant direct effect on performance. Furthermore, job satisfaction significantly mediated the relationship between workload and performance but did not mediate the relationship between work ability and performance. These findings highlight the importance of managing workload, improving work ability, and strengthening job satisfaction as strategies to enhance nurse performance in hospital organizations.

Abstract

Early reading ability is a fundamental skill that supports students’ learning achievement in elementary school. However, some first-grade students still experience difficulties in recognizing letters and reading syllables, words, and simple sentences, which may hinder their academic development. This study aimed to identify the forms of early reading difficulties experienced by first-grade students, analyze the factors contributing to these difficulties, and describe teachers’ efforts to address them. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study design at SDN Belawang 2, Barito Kuala Regency. The participants consisted of nine first-grade students, with the classroom teacher and principal serving as supporting informants. Data were collected through individual reading tests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, with source and technique triangulation applied to ensure data credibility. The results showed that seven out of nine students experienced early reading difficulties, while two students demonstrated fluent reading ability. The difficulties included spelling-based reading, letter confusion, difficulties with closed syllables and consonant clusters, and limited letter recognition. These difficulties were influenced by internal factors, such as motivation, readiness, maturity, and individual conditions, as well as external factors, including limited family support, parental educational background, gadget use, and restricted learning time. Teachers addressed these challenges through gradual reading instruction, letter-based learning media, individual guidance, peer tutoring, parental involvement, and daily reading activities. The findings highlight the importance of differentiated early reading instruction based on students’ difficulty profiles and collaboration among teachers, schools, and families to strengthen literacy development.

Abstract

The coal price boom since 2021 increased production, cargo volumes, and freight and time charter rates; however, not all dry bulk shipping companies were able to convert these opportunities into optimal revenue and profit growth. This study analyzed the effect of coal prices on business growth and assessed appropriate business strategies. Secondary data comprised the Indonesian Coal Reference Price and financial indicators, including revenue, gross profit, sales growth, and gross profit margin, for the 2013–2023 period, supported by audited financial statements and annual reports of five listed shipping companies from 2018 to 2023. The analysis employed Spearman’s rank correlation, simple linear regression, comparative financial ratio analysis, and SWOT analysis. The results showed that coal prices significantly affected BSML’s and HAIS’s revenue, TPMA’s gross profit, and HAIS’s sales growth. BSML and HAIS expanded their operations through third-party vessels, while TPMA maintained performance through vessel utilization and operational efficiency. During 2021–2023, HAIS recorded average revenue growth of 47.0% and a return on equity of 17.8%, while TPMA recorded 20.4% and 14.2%, respectively. Over the 2018–2023 period, TPMA achieved an average gross profit margin of 50.6% and an EBITDA margin of 43.0%. The recommended strategy was to utilize chartered vessels for short-term expansion, followed by gradual investment in owned vessels and improvements in operational efficiency.

Abstract

To support administrative activities, lectures, teaching and learning processes, and other institutional services, information technology has been utilized as a backbone infrastructure and communication medium. In the current digital era, many devices are designed to be mobile and flexible, creating an increasing demand for flexible and reliable network infrastructure. Internet networks provide solutions to address these requirements. This study focused on analyzing the topology and performance based on Quality of Service (QoS) parameters of the internet network at Surabaya Maritime Polytechnic. From the topology perspective, this study examined the network topology implemented at Surabaya Maritime Polytechnic, while the performance analysis evaluated network quality based on several QoS parameters, including throughput, packet loss, delay, and jitter. The study utilized Wireshark as a network analysis tool. Wireshark is widely used for network performance analysis in both wired and wireless networks because it provides comprehensive packet capture and traffic analysis capabilities to evaluate QoS parameters. In addition, Wireshark is freely available and widely adopted in the field of computer networking. However, one limitation of this application is the lack of automated network performance analysis features, requiring captured data to be further processed and calculated before being converted into measurable QoS parameters for network evaluation.
